2161  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Advice for poor people who wanna get some crypto on: April 24, 2022, 10:57:58 AM
If you are coming with the assumption that crypto is going to "multiply your money" then you have a very wrong mindset.
The only truth is that crypto won't make you rich.Crypto trading isn't for you,if you are in a bad financial situation. There's aren't any well paying jobs in the crypto industry for unqualified people.
Just forget about joining the crypto world and focus on finding a real job.I know that 9/5 jobs suck, but you don't have many options.
And forget about Coinbase and any other websites that are giving away free coins. This simply isn't serious.
2162  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin dominance is key on: April 24, 2022, 10:40:45 AM
OK,Bitcoin dominates over all the shitcoins.AND SO WHAT?
Comparing Bitcoin to the shitcoins is like comparing the best professional football club in the world to a bunch of amateur football clubs located in some underdeveloped country. The difference is so big that it makes the comparison pointless.
I thought that you would explain why the Bitcoin dominance is key.Bitcoin dominance is a key to what?
Unfortunately, you don't provide any deep meaning and explanation about why this useless comparison is supposed to be important for all the Bitcoiners around the world.
2163  Economy / Economics / Re: How Capitalism defeated socialism? on: April 24, 2022, 06:11:01 AM
The verdict is in, and contrary to what socialists say, capitalism, with all its warts, is the preferred economic system to bring the masses out of poverty and to make them productive citizens in our country and in countries around the world. Remember this: Capitalism rewards merit, socialism rewards mediocrity. I mean, socialism talking about equality but it is just a beautiful lie , and capitalism is an ugly truth !

I don't know what do you mean by "socialism".Many European countries are "welfare states" and they have many "socialist" elements embedded in their social security systems.
If you are talking about the socialism in Venezuela,Cuba,North Korea and the former USSR,this is more like communism, rather than socialism.
Capitalism is all about protecting the private property and the free market.Communism is about state property and a government-controlled command economy with almost no free markets.
Many socialist countries respect the private property and they have free markets,so I guess that you are oversimplifying a little bit.
The debate about "socialism" vs. capitalism has ended years ago.Capitalism can also be really bad, many capitalist countries are very poor and they can't get out of poverty, even though they are capitalist.
2164  Economy / Gambling / Re: The most rewarding referral system on: April 24, 2022, 05:47:05 AM
Why not all? I mean you can sign up on all casinos which have referral program (almost all) and then spread your referral links on your telegram channel, so you'll have advantages of the referral bonus on all casinos. Usually a new casinos do have interesting referral program since they don't have many players on their sites, probably you can check crashino, 1win, moonbet etc, but beware of the risk of new casinos.

Spamming multiple referral links to casinos seems like a bad move from a marketing perspective.
This guy has a audience on Telegram,he has to keep that audience engaged and active.
I think that promoting multiple casino links to his audience would simply show to them that he is a spammer, who is doing it for the money, rather caring about his followers and providing good content.
If I was a subscriber to a Telegram channel that is related to gambling,I would get bored and unsubscribe,if the channel owner posts referral links of multiple casinos 24/7.There's a high possibility some of the casino that are being promoted to end up being scams.
2165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: “A single bitcoin transaction could power the average US household for a month" on: April 24, 2022, 05:32:03 AM
This is so wrong I can't even bother wasting my time to argue with this BS.
If every BTC transaction could power an average US household for a month, how could the BTC blockchain consume as much electricity as Greece?Greece has a population of around 10 million people, while the USA has the population of more than 320 million people. This doesn't make any sense, but I'm not surprised. All the BTC haters and FUDsters don't make any sense these days. They simply can't create logical theories about how bad Bitcoin actually is(and how good the PoS altcoins actually are).
2166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: April 22, 2022, 06:10:58 AM
Real Madrid won again, but Benzema missed two penalties.
How many penalties can Real Madrid get in a game?I get it,they are a royal and privileged club,so they have to get at least 2-3 penalties per match. Grin There's no way Real Madrid could lose the first place at this year's La Liga.
Barcelona kinda lost momentum with Xavi. They lost in the Europa League in a humiliating way. They've lost against Cadiz in the last round.Perhaps the players know that they won't win the La Liga,so they don't have any motivation at all.Barcelona won against Real Sosiedad, but they were kinda mediocre.
Xavi desperately needs new players for the next season.I hope that Barcelona will have a more consistent
performance in the 2022/2023 season.
2167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A simple proposal for an environmental-friendly regulation for Bitcoin mining on: April 22, 2022, 05:45:29 AM

3) provide a strong incentive to move to places where renewable energy is abundant (Sahara desert, some regions in South America like Patagonia, Brazil and the Altiplano, North American desert regions, Scandinavia/Iceland)

Renewable energy being abundant in the Sahara Desert? Are you kidding me?
Are there any big solar power plants in the Sahara desert?
Do you know why there aren't any big power plants in the Sahara desert?
1.Nobody wants to work in the Sahara Desert.Such big solar power plants will have to be maintained by people.
2.The solar panels will have to be cleaned from all the dust on a daily basis. There is a lot of dust in the desert and there are desert storms as well.Good luck making a solar power plant in the Sahara desert.

Anyway,I'm not going to repeat the same thing over and over again, when it comes to this topic.
All this "environmental-friendly regulation of Bitcoin mining" is a big pile of s*it.
2168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: April 21, 2022, 11:14:30 AM
Magnificent display from Liverpool against Manchester United.Klopp completely destroyed his opponent.
Very interesting game between Chelsea and Arsenal.Lots of goals and Arsenal achieved victory with the help of the Chelsea defenders.Ridiculous mistake at the center of the Chelsea defense for 2-3 and a questionable penalty for 2-4.
Man City didn't have any problem against Brighton. The Premier league will have an exciting end of the season.
2169  Economy / Economics / Re: IMF: War Dims Global Economic Outlook as Inflation Accelerates on: April 21, 2022, 10:34:13 AM
I don't think that the war in Ukraine is the main cause for the global inflation.
The main cause of the inflation is the quantitative easing made by the big central banks during the pandemic.
The "powers that be" in the western world simply use the war in Ukraine as an excuse for the inflation.
There is a way to fight the current inflation-increasing the interest rates, but the Federal Reserve System doesn't want to increase the interest rates, because this will make the US federal debt more expensive.
I know that oil prices are a major factor for the inflation, but the global oil prices were moving in the 110-140 USD range during the war in Iraq(2003-2007) and there wasn't such gigantic inflation everywhere around the world back then. There's something wrong with the global economy.

2170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making e-sports more affordable on: April 21, 2022, 06:01:12 AM
I don't really think that e-sports games(like CS:GO) can be considered gambling games.
Games with paid in-game items aren't gambling, because the players don't play with the expectation of winning anything or making profits. They are buying expensive in-game items,in order to win the game and have some fun,not to make money.Perhaps such games will begin shifting to a more gambling oriented business model.
Anyway, this is good news.More free-to-play game is good news for the average gamer, who is most likely a financially broke teenager, using his mom's credit card to buy in-game items on such games. Grin
2171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ireland to Ban Political Donations in Cryptocurrencies on: April 21, 2022, 05:37:01 AM

When the war started, I was making a prediction that Bitcoin can get a lot of negative exposure if it will become associated with Russia, seems like my prediction is coming true. On the other hand, it's inevitable that the government will want to restrict the unchecked flow of money via Bitcoin, perhaps Russia just catalyzed it.

It's not about Bitcoin. It's about cryptocurrencies in general.
I wish good luck to the Irish authorities, when they try to impose this new rule. How are they doing to track down all the crypto donations that are being sent to the Irish political parties? There's no way.
Anyway,I don't think that Russia is interested in the elections in Ireland. The Russians are aiming for the bigger targets-The upcoming US elections for the Congress and Senate and the presidential elections in France.
Ireland is just too small and insignificant.
Bitcoin will always get a lot of negative exposure.I hope that some altcoins would also get a part of the negative exposure.Putting all the blame on Bitcoin for the sins of the entire crypto industry is simply stupid.
2172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is truly missing in the Bitcoin ecosystem to get this to the masses on: April 20, 2022, 10:49:39 AM
So I am sure this has been discussed multiple times before, however as I enter into the rabbit hole of Bitcoin, I am interested what others see as lacking in terms of how to get this to the masses. I run a node and LN Channels, however not being a developer, I wonder what other roles are out there. Would like to hear your thoughts.

Thanks!

Two things are missing in the BTC ecosystem.User convenience and price stability(although Bitcoin became very user friendly in the last few years).
The problem is that a stable Bitcoin price means that Bitcoin will decrease it's value as fast as fiat money.
The Bitcoin Core blockchain basically has it all-security,trust,great development.
Price volatility is the main reason why most of the people are scared of joining the Bitcoin world. The big amount of crypto scams can also be mentioned as a reason that scares many people away, but most of scams nowadays are shitcoins/NFTs.
What kinds of roles are you asking about? There are Bitcoin developers, miners and regular users(traders).
I don't know about any other roles.
2173  Economy / Economics / Re: U.S. links North Korean hacker group to $600 million crypto theft on: April 20, 2022, 06:11:11 AM
This news is pretty old.I've been reading about this theft several weeks ago.
I guess that the North Korean hackers are very good. This is only one of their major thefts. The entire amount of the coins stolen by them must be more than 1 billion.I assume that this is the main funding source of the North Korea nuclear program. Is there a way to completely cut North Korea from the world wide web? Grin
I was kinda hyped about joining Axie infinity a few months ago.I'm glad that I didn't play the game and I didn't invest any coins into a platform with such weak online security.
2174  Economy / Gambling / Re: Question for regular casino players. Will you use Lightning if available? on: April 20, 2022, 05:53:51 AM
I made a topic 4 years ago that asked if casino site owners and operators were interested in integrating/implementing the Lightning Network for their service. It had just three replies, and two were mine. Hahaha.

I want to ask again, and this time to the users. Will you use the Lightning Network if available? Or will you continue to use whichever altcoin you're currently using?

The current Bitcoin Core transaction fees are pretty low,so I don't think that there is a need to use LN transactions(if the casino owners ever decide to accept the Lightning Network).
Even if LN gets accepted by most crypto casinos,I don't see a reason why would anyone use LN instead of altcoins.Perhaps the hardcore Bitcoiners would choose LN transactions, but only if the Bitcoin Core on-chain transactions become really slow and expensive(which might never happen).
Why would a casino owner be interested of integrating LN payments? There are plenty of altcoins and even fiat payments.Casino owners would need a clear incentive,in order to implement LN.
2175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do some recommend bitcoin mixers over using XMR to get a new bitcoin address on: April 20, 2022, 05:35:38 AM
Quote
Vs you have bitcoin, you want to erase the public trail so you convert to XMR, then send XMR to a new anonymous exchange and convert to Bitcoin. That seems more simple, convenient, and surefire.

Anonymous exchange? Can you mention a few "anonymous exchanges",which are totally anonymous and accepting monero transactions?I don't know about any anonymous exchanges.
BTC mixers are more popular, because most of the crypto users want to deal with Bitcoin rather than Monero.
BTC is accepted almost everywhere in the crypto industry, while Monero is accepted in only a few places on the clean web.I'm not talking about the darkweb, where Monero is the main cryptocurrency.
I don't think that anybody is recommending BTC mixers over Monero. Both options are risky and there's no way to achieve complete 100% privacy.
2176  Other / Archival / Re: How will the stock market crash affect the price of bitcoin in 2022? on: April 19, 2022, 10:37:36 AM

You think that there is no correlation and that the market has no cyclicality. I think there are correlations and the bitcoin market is cyclical. You think that bitcoin has not yet reached its top to go for a correction, I believe that it has already reached its top a long time ago and now bitcoin will fall, not rise this year. No 100,000 this year and other dreams will not come true.

I agree that Bitcoin most likely won't hit another ATH this year.
However,I don't agree about the BTC price being correlated to the stocks prices.Such correlation would exist,if the investors had to choose between two options only-Bitcoin and stocks. This cannot happen in the real world and the investors can choose between multiple options:stocks, commodities, precious metals, real estate and government bonds.
The debate about the Bitcoin price being cyclical would continue forever.Maybe there is a cycle, caused by the BTC halvings, but I think that other factors are way more important for influencing the BTC price in one direction or another-the fear&greed index, the monetary policy of the big central banks, mining Hashrate, bullish and FUD news, etc. The BTC halvings are important for creating hype and bullish expectations about the BTC price.
2177  Economy / Economics / Re: Another no privacy from Russian Bankers on: April 19, 2022, 06:11:42 AM
I think that we have to distinguish privacy from financial privacy.
Yes,privacy is sacred, but the same thing cannot always be said about financial privacy.
When you don't want to reveal your actual wealth to the government, the government is going to punish you, because you are trying to hide a part of your money and assets from taxation.
Unfortunately, this is the model of crypto regulations that will soon dominate the world.
Banning all non-custodial wallets and making the usage of custodial wallets mandatory. The western countries might soon impose similar regulations.
That doesn't necessarily mean that all crypto users will abide by these new rules. Many people will just move to the darkweb and keep using their non-custodial wallets.

2178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: April 19, 2022, 05:41:12 AM
I'm surprised that nobody gives Villarreal a chance against Liverpool.
If I remember this correctly,Unai Emery defeated Liverpool with Klopp at the Europa League 2016 final.
Emery is a pretty clever guy and he knows how to win tournaments. He won 3 Europa League trophies, maybe it's time for him to win the UEFA Champions League.
The semi-final between Man City and Real Madrid is going to be pretty unpredictable.I think that Manchester City is going to win and get to the final.Real Madrid had a solid performance throughout the season, but they rely heavily on Benzema and they will have a hard time,if Benzema gets blocked by the Man City defenders.
2179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Amazingly Moronic Bitsneaks on: April 19, 2022, 05:19:48 AM
Buying expensive sneakers is a thing in the African-American culture.I don't get it.I guess that bragging with your expensive sneakers(or bragging with luxurious stuff in general) is a really important part of the African-American culture. Some rapper is going to buy such sneakers.Rappers have lots of money and they aren't particularly smart(maybe most of them aren't).
The website looks ridiculous.I can't even read some of the titles, due to the absurd design of the letters.
Maybe this really is a joke.Putting a BTC node in sneakers simply doesn't seem serious.Or maybe it isn't a joke.
The world is full of dumb people, willing to spend lots of money for dumb shit.
2180  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Black List of crypto exchanges! (BANS and confiscation) on: April 18, 2022, 11:28:39 AM
I haven't heard anything about the crypto exchanges mentioned in your "black list"(except Coinbase and Kraken,of course).
Unfortunately, many small crypto exchanges would use the sanctions against Russia as a "justification" for them to scam and steal coins from a part of their customers. This is despicable and it must be punished.
Anyway, you are kinda wrong about the "the very essence of the cryptosphere".A crypto exchange is a private company, which has to obey to the laws and regulations of the country,in which it is located.
When the government officials ask the exchanges to block certain accounts, the exchanges can't say NO,so putting the blame on the crypto exchanges is stupid.
Every exchange has it's own Terms of service. When you register an account and deposit coins, this means that you agree to their Terms of Service.
