Hamilton is obviously nearing his retirement but I would have loved it if he raced for 2 or 3 years more as he is still on his peak form. But we also have to think in his POV as everyone wants to retire while being the best. So this teaser from Merc could mean that Kimi could return but once again, nothing is official now. All I can say is that we enjoy Hamilton racing as long as we have the privilege to do so. I just read the article where they quoted Wolff, and from his words it looked like Hamilton had already retired pending an official confirmation which is really very said if it turns out to be true. Lastly I can understand he feels betrayed due to what happened in the final race, but I believed that he could race for one more year win the title and then call it quits, but day by day it looks we won’t be seeing him again. |

Didn't see Hasnain bowling action (and not interested in BBL) so don't know what to make of Henrigues's comment but i did watch the SA vs India match.

Personally i don't see any wrong in Virat's comment. He was indicating towards "Sand Paper Gate" and how broadcaster Supersport only follow opposition players, which is 99% true. Timing of comment was very wrong tho.

But rather then then giving him some punishment his sledging was taken seriously and bowling action of Hasnain was reported by Umpire. Its totally a joke. Virat or any Indian player can do whatever he want, since nobody wanna lose IPL contracts. That's not how it works, if that was the case then Umpire could have land into some serious trouble even losing his job. Normally it works like this. Umpire notice something fishy with the bowling action, then they warn the bowler along with his captain and so on. There is possibility that Henrigues sledged Hasnain after umpire's concern, not defending Henrigues's statement but setting the record straight with series of events as per cricketing norm. @JSRAW I totally agree with you because there’re strict guidelines in place for this, and no umpire cannot just report for the sake of it, he needs to back it with evidence that all rules were broken and hence he had to report it. I'm starting to think Nadal should be the favourite for the title. Obviously him and Medvedev are the big two, and Nadal had a 5-setter today, but...
Nadal plays Berrettini in the semis, and Berrettini had a 5-setter, too. This is arguably the easy draw for Nadal, given the other semi is likely to be a really tough one, Medvedev vs Tsitsipas. Whoever (probably Medvedev) comes out of that the winner will probably be more tired than Nadal come the final.
This next match between Nadal and Berrettini should be another good one. I think I will back Berrettini, he seems to have found that fighting spirit while Nadal is still not 100% fit. There is another very interesting one coming up, Sinner v Tsitsipas with Sinner being favourite 1.68 - 2.20. I would have thought Tsitsipas would be favourite, does Sinner have it to go to the Semi's? They are winning the league and I have no problem with that and no one does but we all can agree that there should have won the league more convincingly and asserted dominance. But in PSG vs Real Madrid, I think it is going to be an even match.
On this I have to agree. The PSG vs Real Madrid match will be very balanced. PSG have a more valuable squad with better quality. Real Madrid, on the other hand, is working better as a group, despite not having so many stars. I have a hard time seeing who can win this game, but I think Real Madrid have a slight advantage. PSG as the host, I believe will make Real Madrid difficult to take advantage of with a rumble of fans, even though they have a solid squad but PSG knows how to hold them because Ramos is a person who understands inside out how they are playing very well. he was very fit after full playing vs Remis and created 1 goal for PSG and reap threats for ex-club I feel that Real Madrid has a slight advantage due to Ancellotti experience, but Poch will also be keen to prove a point and make a name for himself by beating Real Madrid. I am for meritocracy - the strongest (UEFA zone) should receive more tickets. How much this is a debatable question, but it can be clarified separately. The situation when some 7th strongest team from Africa does not get to the final part of the World Cup and this is considered unfair is absurd. Agree with this. The real issue is with the continent based qualification process. Ideally, there should be a second round of qualification. Out of the 48 slots for the 2026 world cup, 50% (or 24 slots) can be decided on the basis of confederation-level qualifier tournaments. IMO, the remaining 24 slots should come from a second round of global qualifying event. Now this takes care of two issues: since 24 teams come from the first round, none of the continents will lose representation. And then, since there is a global qualifier, weaker teams will get kicked out and only the stronger teams will qualify. FIFA's proposal to hold a world cup event every 2 years is indeed a good idea, for those of us who love football, we strongly agree with fifa's proposal, but from the club and player perspective, it is certain that we will reject fifa's policy, the players will be overwhelmed, because the players no longer exist because they no longer have time off with their families, and the club will lose money, because players who are bought at high prices, will be prone to injury, and their fitness will also decline, especially the EPL league which has a busy schedule, of course they the first to oppose fifa policies.. @asus09 I don’t agree with you and no one who loves this sport will, because the World Cup is precious because it’s played only one time in four year’s, and by playing it in every two year’s they’re killing the glory associated with this cup and I’ll be totally disappointed if they succeed. Peter Siddle has urged the Australian cricket board to shorten the BBL window. According to him, a lot of overseas players are turning down offers from the BBL, because it is the second longest franchise league (after the IPL). But I don't agree with his suggestion. The BBL is also one of the largest leagues, with 8 franchises (compared to 6 each for CPL and Hundred). If they cut down the duration, then the broadcasters are not going to be happy. If they want to attract overseas players, then they need to increase the salaries (which remains much lower than what they have in BPL or the PSL).
@Sithara007 as a player he can put forth his views, but will it be accepted by the board I don’t think so because they need to keep the broadcasters happy as you rightly said. It is strange that you are blaming Pant. Actually he did much better than the other batsmen. Scored a total of 101 runs from three matches and let's not forget the fact that he is the keeper as well. Rohit would have made a difference? I don't know, because Shikhar Dhawan was also in good touch as the opener (169 runs from 3 matches). KL Rahul failed, both as a captain and as a batsman. It was the bowlers who failed - especially Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Shardul Thakur and Ravichandran Ashwin.
Pant under-performed in my opinion and Rohit would have definitely made a difference. He could have replaced Rahul as both the captain and as a batsman. Also, Thakur single-handedly decimated the South African batsmen in one of the tests while Ashwin shouldn't be blamed since the pitches aren't spin friendly and he didn't concede too many runs. I have to say that in my opinion, Rohit is a better captain in comparison to Kohli or Rahul. Because of Virat, I think that he wins by his own performance, not because of crazy good captaincy. But Rohit is a better captain and makes better decisions.
I disagree. Rohit hasn't proven himself as a better captain when compared to Kohli at the international level yet though he has proven himself as a better captain in the IPL. Just to let you know under Hitman's captaincy India won Asia Cup, Nidahas Trophy and also under his leadership Mumbai Indian have won 5 IPL trophy, second best is Dhoni as far as IPL captaincy goes. There are reports coming in that BCCI is set to hand over all format captaincy to Rohit, quickfix for 2 years max. I won’t say Pant played bad but could he have played better then the answer is yes, he has the power to be a match winner and the coach now needs to tell him to start playing smartly rather than hit every ball he sees. I am not agree with your point that you forum member submit their arts to get merit. They submit their art as it is a competition. It is not a fact either become winner or not. If those person who would not be winner would not take part on the competition then no competition would happen in the world. Roobet host a lot of great art competition and that is not about merit though, the reward is big so if you have the talent on art why not participate? I also don’t think people participate for merit because as I can see on many art contest with Roobet not all arts have merit, meaning there’s no assurance that you can get merit and if I were to participate, I will surely aim for the reward and not for merit. One crucial goal for Manchester United was created thanks to a pretty good collaboration from Cristiano Ronaldo, Martial, Cavani before Marcus Rashford's cheat made United successfully get three points and return to the top 4 position in the standings. However, MU's position is still not safe considering that Tottenham Hotspur are only 2 points apart and have only played 19 matches at this time, Spurs could have taken over United's current position. I won’t call it one of the best performances but it was decent and something Manchester United can definitely build upon, and now maybe it’s time to unleash Martial and Rashford in the starting lineup and see what impact they can make. Also I continue to feel bad for Van De Beek they won’t play him, and yet hang on to him why won’t they let him go to another club or give him some games to impress?. |

Inter versus Roma will be a high stakes game, Milan and Lazio might be one as well, Lazio is not doing as well as hoped but they are not a horrible team neither and can play very well against big clubs. I am sure that unless something major happens, Juventus will win, and Atalanta should win as well.

Frankfurt played really bad today and missed some big chances at end of both halfs. I just need one more goal to win the bet but just unlucky in the end. Bielefeld got some really good and talented players in attack .
Damn , not again  looks like i have no luck with the Friday games lately. Just have seen the result now between Frankfurt and Arminia Bielefeld and i am really disappointed from Frankfurt and the result. Havnt seen the match live or a preview but sounds like they have done a bad performance. I didn't think Frankfurt would lose the home match. I lost the bet in this match. My guess was that the match would be a draw. Arminia Bielefeld took the lead after scoring the first goal of the match. After that they started defensive gameplay. Throughout the match we saw the dominance of Frankfurt. Frankfur dominated and they attacked a lot. But Arminia's defenders played great in this match. For the awesome performance of defender and goalkeeper, Arminia won this match. I would say that in this match the man of the match should be given to the goalkeeper Moreno. for me, too, arminia bielefeld's 2-0 away win in frankfurt yesterday came as a surprise. the action of the game was the preparation of bielefeld player Patrick Wimmer, who prepared the 2-0 with a so-called rabona cross.  @cygan it was a shocking result indeed, when they went down by a goal I thought they would respond and salvage a draw at least, but it seems that Arminia player’s had other plans. Arsenal fielded a strong team but lost to a Liverpool team that had first team choice players missing. Jota scored both Liverpool goals.
I am not sure if Arsenal wanted to win this game to the extent they would have postponed the north London derby against Tottenham but whatever happened it is Liverpool going to Wembley to play Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday 27th February 2022.
Was expecting much more from Arsenal in this match. With Liverpool not having a lot of players in this match due to an African tournament. But i think we will probobly see Liverpool winning this tournament they are for me the main favorites in it. @JollyGood I personally believe it was all about the positive attitude yesterday, and these Liverpool player’s despite missing several top stars showed their positive attitude on the pitch and easily defeated arsenal. Although Chelsea are not playing great at the moment, but I feel that the final game will be different and they can definitely beat Liverpool if they play well, hence let’s hope that we get to see an entertaining match between these two top sides. |
