21781  Economy / Gambling / Re: How do you guys win these gambling sites on: July 08, 2015, 10:35:16 AM
i see most of the bitcoin users get money from gambling. How do u guys get to win these gambling sites? Is it by luck or there is a way of going about it.I really wanna know

from so many bitcoin users that are gambling only a handful of them have won a couple of times. and the rest are losing.
especially if someone is a gambling addict and can't control their gambling then they lose a lot of money.

you can check other users profile in most of the gambling websites. if the profile really belongs to a person not a bot or something then you can see that their profit is always negative no matter how much they are winning right now.
21782  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: is gambling fix your life? or wreck your life? on: July 08, 2015, 10:30:02 AM
If you will "definitely" become a winner, it's not gambling. As long as you are gambling, there is no promise that you will profit, regardless of your strategy. Also, as lotteries go, there is no strategy involved. It's nothing more than luck, and certainly not definite.

some people just give names to the luck they have had with some method they used. then they call it the winning strategy and stick to it. there is no definitely in gambling.
everything is just depending on luck.
21783  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins could be more popular if... on: July 08, 2015, 09:29:47 AM
i personally don't hold any altcoin for long term so i am comfortable with keeping what i have on an exchanger (i use bittrex) they have 2fa and can be secure enough for storing your coins.

but for just a couple of coins i use their SPV wallet. for example for litecoin i use Electrum-ltc which is exactly the same as Electrum for bitcoin. so i can store them myself on my own PC.
21784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin predictions. on: July 08, 2015, 09:21:18 AM
i personally am keeping my eye on a couple of things.

the first thing that i think is the most important off all is the block halving of litecoin, the closer we get to it and also a while after the block halving is going to be the most interesting times.

other thing is the bitcoin price, i am monitoring how the price will be since it has an undeniable effect on litecoin price.

anyways i am expecting $6+ soon.
21785  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do girls use Bitcoin on webcam sites ? on: July 08, 2015, 08:04:45 AM
Your opinions and thoughts as to whether girls should use Bitcoin on webcam sites:

YES. they should start accepting bitcoin as payments and in fact many are currently do accept it.
bitcoin payment is an easy and fast way of paying for online services and can be done from anywhere in the world, besides you don't need all the hassle of creating something like paypal and giving all your information in order to be able to spend money online.
21786  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin Could Be the Best Investment of the Century on: July 08, 2015, 08:00:36 AM
Check out this article about why everyone needs to be investing in Bitcoin: https://atriark.com/blog/bitcoin-best-investment-century/

It's well written and put in a way that would help most outsiders understand why it's a good idea to get into the market right now. I seriously believe that Bitcoin could be the greatest transfer of wealth in human history. Although my friends and family still think I'm crazy, but we shall see.

interesting article. and i agree with 90% of the whole idea.
i believe bitcoin is a very good investment for everybody because it is at a very low price level right now and it definitely has the potential to grow and give a nice profit to your initial investment, just as it did back in the year 2013.

but it is not the best investment, because of the high risk that is involved with it. there is always the rule of "high risk high reward" but still i find lower risk investments better. and keep a lower percent of all my investments in bitcoin.
21787  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Over 200.000 transactions per day in the history of Bitcoin on: July 08, 2015, 07:45:49 AM
if you don't consider the one day peek of 200,000 then you can see that the average number of transactions per day is the same as before around 100,000.
https://blockchain.info/charts/n-transactions?timespan=30days&showDataPoints=false&daysAverageString=1&show_header=true&scale=0&address=

and obviously it is not because of exchanger bots like some users are saying at least not when you exclude the popular addresses:
https://blockchain.info/charts/n-transactions-excluding-popular?timespan=30days&showDataPoints=false&daysAverageString=1&show_header=true&scale=0&address=

this was clearly because of that stupid stress test that is hurting everybody who is using bitcoin and relying on getting confirmations on time with standard fee.
21788  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just what is a FAIR fee to send a Bitcoin transaction? on: July 08, 2015, 07:36:42 AM
One exchange sent me 0.9 btc
with a fee of 1114 satoshi but after 40 hours still no first confirmation. What shoul i do,help?
This is the transaction
https://blockchain.info/address/1BnvHarta94JvXrY7oT272qTBEvgMdRk2S

the only thing you can do is wait...

i say you wait for at least 24 hours and then contact the exchanger that sent you that amount and ask them to include bigger fee.

but i am sure it is going to be confirmed in a couple of hours since it is medium priority, so don't worry so much.
21789  Economy / Economics / Re: Why have Bitcoin instead of cash? on: July 08, 2015, 07:27:22 AM
I recently paid for some local tacos using Bitcoin. My friend who was unfamilar with Bitcoin thought it was strange, like I technically didn't pay for them or something. We got into discussing Bitcoin and one of the questions he asked me was:
"Why would you want Bitcoins instead of cash?". For a second I didn't know what to say; then I thought about it and here is what I came up with. Feel free to contribute to this.

1) More security (especially if you are careful).

2) Bitcoins are a potential investment, cash is not. Paper currency only really goes down in value, Bitcoins have a lot of potential to be worth more as time goes on.

3) Fast, worldwide transactions at your fingertips.

4) Similar to #3, but it's a universal currency. It's legal in most countries of the world and you don't need any kind of currency conversion to send money to people in a different country than your own.

i totally agree with # 1, 3 and 4. especially 3 and 4. it is the best way to transfer money between countries , and in long distances. especially since it is so much faster than any other way and also you should pay the lowest fees in order to do it.

but if you are looking for reasons on "why choose bitcoin over cash" number 2 is not a very good argument.
because while bitcoin has potential of going up in value (as we can see right now in the market), it is also very volatile which means it can go down the same way it went up. and this IMO makes it not a suitable substitute for cash.
21790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Citigroup Is Testing Its Own Bitcoin: 'Citicoin' on: July 08, 2015, 04:59:50 AM
i have heard about banks talking about blockchain technology and using it for their own, but this is very interesting that this financial banking group is actually doing this.

but from what i understood from the article, the technology is just going to create a copy of bitcoin (like an altcoin) and only be used by the bank, since they say the intention is just to move money fast overseas and i think it is only going to be used by the bank. so it is not going to be anything like bitcoin. it looks like they are just trying to make their banking system more efficient.
21791  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just what is a FAIR fee to send a Bitcoin transaction? on: July 08, 2015, 04:40:40 AM
So i have been doing manual fees since the network could go on stress test at anytime so before sending i make sure too look at the volume in transactions to see if i pay a little more to get confirmations faster.

nowadays sending bitcoin fast (getting confirmation faster) is becomming a competitive scene. which means if you want your transaction to go through faster and gets confirmed you have to include even more fee (more than what is the standard amount of fee) in other words you have to "bribe" miners in order to include your transaction in the block!

a part of this is because of these stupid stress tests, i find the test interesting at first and i though the results would be useful but it is getting really annoying and it is hurting bitcoin more than helping it.
21792  Economy / Economics / Re: China markets, WTF!? on: July 08, 2015, 04:33:38 AM
there were many Chinese investors who took loans to invest in their stock market for the profit which is extremely risky. and last month when the stocks first started to fall , many of those investors had to quickly sell their investments to pay back the loans. as the result , this fueled an even bigger drop in stock prices.

since China is still a major Bitcoin player. I think we are going to see big moves by them in the near future. and if this happens, it is going to fuel the bitcoin market even more than what Greece is doing now.
21793  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good places to advertise a bitcoin related services.... on: July 08, 2015, 04:19:39 AM
i have seen some adult website and also some cam girls advertise their services int the Services section.

other than that if you want to advertise out of the forum, i think you can do that on PTC sites like btcclicks.com which is bitcoin related too, or other advertisement services like adbit.co (not sure if they accept adult content).

but i think you can get better results if you advertise your adult service on an actual "adult forum". i'm not going to post any names but you can search for them and find the best that suits your needs. you might need to explain more about bitcoin and benefits out of here though.
21794  Economy / Services / Re: avatar and pm service offer on: July 08, 2015, 02:41:43 AM

Transfer data over the Internet faster than you can write data to a thumb drive.

Download data as fast as many computers can save the data to a hard drive.

Download an entire digital movie (14 GB) in a little under 2 minutes.

21796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you like best about bitcoin? on: July 07, 2015, 01:59:53 PM
Bitcoin is irreversible -- that's one thing I like. On the other hand, I also like how it can be accessible everywhere just using your smartphone. Although gaypal has the same option, bitcoin on the other hand has more value and as i said, irreversible. The technology behind bitcoin is also unique and good. Very secured too.
this feature of bitcoin is actually both a good and a bad thing.

i love the fact that bitcoin transactions is not reversible and when you send bitcoin to someone there is nothing you can do about it anymore, this eliminates a lot of scamming which we can see happening with paypal.

but the bad part is that when you send bitcoin like for buying something you have to trust the receiver or else you have lost your bitcoin with no way to take it back.

they should ban cash too, because it can be used for drug, and their currency is not free from this, basically many other thing can be used for buying drug, they are using this excuse only to throw more fud at bitcoin , as usual

people are already using cash, so it doesn't matter , you don't need to convince people if fiat is good or bad. but it is different about bitcoin. when (if) media is advertising bitcoin as being associated with criminal activity like they do with some news, then new adopters might get scared and stay away.
21797  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blockchain.info Problem on: July 07, 2015, 07:30:04 AM
Invalid to address is probably because you are typing something wrong.
post the bitcoin address that you want to sent to.

the second part might be because you imported a private key in your wallet.
did you import any new address / private key in your wallet?

21798  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are we stress testing again? on: July 07, 2015, 07:06:02 AM
i think it is time that developers do something about this issue, it is getting more and more annoying . the number of people being affected by this alleged stress testing is growing everyday.

i am not sure that bigger block sizes can be the solution to this problem, but something definitely needs to be done, and it needs to be done fast.
21799  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price is fighting to $300 in July! on: July 07, 2015, 05:39:01 AM
It's funny looking at the first comments in this thread. We've already seen 280, we have 20+ days to surpass those 20 remaining dollars for 300. It's obvious people isn't objective anymore about the price and went on the depressive mode instead of the realistic one.
last month because of the quite market and all the negative trolls nobody even thought of the price going to $300 but after the Greece news and reversal of the market it is a strong possibility.
I think after a small pull back we can see a runup at the end of the week and we may even see $300 by the end of next week.
21800  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin goes to 1200-1300 within a month. on: July 07, 2015, 05:30:55 AM

Are you sure we will see $1200 level this month???
I have a friend who wants to sell his coins but waiting for $300 level, should he wait or should he sell all his coins???

What did he pay for them? If it's a quick flip and he's not too bothered about the future then why not?

If he paid more and just wants to get out, might as well sit it out and see where it heads. It might be starting to warm up.

He didn't purchase those coins, he got them gambling at some dice sites, and got a 0.75 BTC tip at luckyb.it (not advertising, just letting everyone know) recently, so he was asking whether he should wait or just sell them at current prices...

If ppl are saying that he should wait till next year for $300, then why the OP is claiming for BTC to be at 1200-1300 level this month???
i think it is best to keep your bitcoin as long as you can. especially if you don't need the money or it is a small amount and doesn't change anything.
now that the price is rising and continuing this way, and since there is a block halving on the way next year, all these can be good points to make you keep your coins.
