2181  Economy / Economics / Re: Know Your Customer on: May 26, 2018, 11:41:38 PM
Does that mean that if one participates in an ICO and puts in over $3,000, that gets reported to the government? Or if you move $3,000 out of an exchange, that gets reported?

In my own opinion, Kyc is only good if most of the people will invest on it even though there is a kyc policy but what i see today is that, there are still successful campaigns with kyc requirement.

KYC affects the decentralization, but due to hard regulations it has come to reality. With cryptocurrency people easily gets scammed as each and everything happens through internet and nothing can be done once after getting into the trap. Now there are good programs that request KYC from investors just to eliminate investors from certain countries.

Undoubtedly, KYC slows down a developing of the crypto currency world. A half year ago no any passport was needed, and therefore the crypto exchanges have grown fast as a mushrooms after the rain. But I think it is a good decision, because the crypto exchanges won't be a "laundries" to wash an illegal money. As far as I know, the most of ICO campaigns does not require the KYC for bounty hunters, but only for the large investors who buy a big amount of tokens.
2182  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it digital gold? on: May 26, 2018, 11:17:32 PM
Take a look at the logo of Bitcoin. It is a gold coin. When Satoshi Nakamoto compiled the first public open source version of Bitcoin Core in 2009, he designed the icon for executable file with the yellow coin and the text "BC" painted on it. Yes, Bitcoin is a digital gold among the crypto currencies.
2183  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin have more risks than benefits? on: May 26, 2018, 11:07:26 PM
I think just the single thing that makes the whole bitcoin project worth it is the option to be the sole owner of your own money and being able to transfer it to anyone, anywhere in the world for almost no fees. Poor people don't have these options in real world if you don't know and just cause you have access to these options doesn't means that others don't need it.
That's why banks mad about this lol , idk if it was their way to prevent Bitcoin adoption , it's just too clear to see that any financial institutions fear about cryptocurrency existence due could take down their own business , the decentralized system make things easier , provide a lot of benefit for customers but not for the providers like banks , that's greedy and normal.
Agree with you. The banks try to spread the FUD news about the crypto currencies in order to attract the new customers and get a profit from them.

But indeed, the crypto exchange markets are volatile, and Bitcoin is still a risky investment. That's why it is needed to use the hedge risk politics.
2184  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-05-25]India may Change Its Decision to Ban Digital Currencies and Tax them on: May 26, 2018, 10:52:32 PM
Silly. 18% every time you buy or sell it? Australia tried that for a bit and rapidly abandoned it. It's not a good.

The most sensible tax is capital gains when you sell and your profit is above a certain threshold and the bog standard VAT just like everything else if you're buying stuff with it.

And considering what India was willing to do to its population when it came to cash and gold I can't imagine it's going to flourish for long.

As far as I understand only the receiver (or buyer of BTC in our case) pays the tax. It would be very silly if both, the buyer and the seller, were obliged to pay the tax but it is not the case imo. CMIIW.

Regarding the India's ban of crypto currencies, I have never doubted that their government will make a smart decision eventually. I'm glad they are on the right path.

Anyway, this is a positive news for the crypto exchange markets. I expected that the government of India will change their opinion. Probably, their Central Reserve Bank threatened by banning the crypto currencies in order to announce this tax politics. I guess that the tax 18% will be reduced in the future.
2185  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Happy Bitcoin pizza day! on: May 26, 2018, 10:36:38 PM
Happy Bitcoin pizza day everyone !  Grin
Exactly seven years ago, on May 22nd 2010, a man paid 10000 BTC for a pizza First ever purchase with Bitcoin!  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes

Was the pizzeria establishment itself accepted the bitcoin or did he locally traded it with a person who bought pizza for him? Imagine his reactions now if he only knew bitcoin's value would increase this much he would've put the pizza in a glass display preserved for ever haha.

A lot of people sold their bitcoins for very low price in the early times. They supposed that Bitcoin will fall.

I heard that the pizza day is already past a few months ago. The guy who spent 10K BTC and bought two pizzas made a photo with his children and the new two pizzas bought using the technology Lightning Network.
2186  Local / Бayнти и aиpдpoпы / Re: [BOUNTY][PRE-ICO] FLOGMALL - Международная торговая площадка on: May 26, 2018, 10:10:21 PM

2187  Other / Meta / Re: Automated distribution of Merit. on: May 24, 2018, 01:34:24 AM
What do you think about it?
I think that every user of the forum is responsible for his sMerits. The merit sources are trusted by the administrator, and they are responsible whom their sMerits will be given, what amount and what quality of post. Then these users are responsible for their sending own sMerits. Such a way the tree of merits grows on the forum. I guess that no any automated merit distribution is needed. Each merit should be earned for useful posts.
2188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Participating in bounties with low allocations on: May 24, 2018, 12:18:00 AM
The stake 1-2% of all sold tokens is a normal allocation for the bounty of a reliable project. Also you need to give a heed to the quantity of a stakes within the bounty allocation. Some managers give a low chunk of all bounty budget for certain campaigns (social networks, etc). It depends only on their own decision. If you don't agree with the size of rewards, just do not participate in this bounty campaigns.
2189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is going on in the market? on: May 23, 2018, 11:56:51 PM
I really can not understand the situatin going in the market. Prices are running here and there. Is it a normal or abnormal movement. What should I do in the current situation?
Your suggestion would be highly appreciated.
I may think that you are just new in crypto as seeing your rank and there are a lot of things to learn about crypto. All the ups and downs happening in the market today are just normal. At this time, surely investors are taking advantage to buy some coins while the others are just holding their coins.
Whenever the market turns red and btc falls, many really got panicked, everything is out of cur control but we have right to think of ways where we can still benefit or have ways to lose chances of losing.  Buy some coins when red or hold till we earn.
I guess that the nearest support level of Bitcoin is $7000, therefore you can start to re-buy some amount of BTC at this range. Obviously, the dumping caused a chain reaction, and some people are panic selling. It seems that the large investors flee from the crypto exchange markets. Maybe the reason of the current global falling is connected to the world geopolitics. Now BTC is ~$7500 (-6%), ETH is ~$580 (-10%).
2190  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto trading tips based on years of experience --- by Raja on: May 23, 2018, 11:32:30 PM
10. Never FOMO/panic. Never think "if I hadn't sold it, I'd have been sitting on a million". Never cry over past, only learn from it and don't repeat the same mistake.
In my opinion, this is a main tip in trading. Gathering the own experience and learning from the own mistakes are very important. Of course, the mistakes shouldn't be at all, but the current economic and politic situations in the field of the crypto currencies are changed rapidly, so almost nobody can teach you in the real time how to get a profit with no risk, using a crypto trading. Useful tips!
2191  Economy / Economics / Re: Can it be possible for the whole wide world use a single currency? on: May 23, 2018, 10:56:37 PM
I think that it is almost impossible to use a single currency for the whole world, because the powerful countries want to spread their own impact on the whole planet. In addition, some economic groups wish to increase their current stake on the different markets, buying the goods and services as cheap as they can. Yes, some crypto currency can be used as an international currency, but only if all counter agents of the exchange relations agree to recognize this coin as a payment.
2192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin down, what will happen? on: May 23, 2018, 10:37:08 PM
In comparing to other crypto currencies, Bitcoin is pretty resistant to fall. Now BTC is ~$7600 (-5%), but an altcoins are dumped more drastically -11%. Almost all crypto exchange market is red again. I guess that the price of Bitcoin won't be decreased lower than $7000, because this is a support level. The reason of the current global falling is not obvious yet. Probably the new severe regulations are being prepared, and the large investors are already aware of them from the inside informational sources.
2193  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: [base58] PUBKEY_ADDRESS has to contain prefix Mo and address length 35 on: May 22, 2018, 03:44:55 AM
What I want to know is how to get address which starts with ĞMoğ or Ro with address length 35 bytes?
For example, you can use this online Base58 converter:
http://lenschulwitz.com/base58

I tested these Bitcoin-addresses 35-byte length:

Code:
Mo111111111111111111111111111111111 (Base58)
0BB52C7E52DC7D16D2A362767FE633FE3751B8D2E73C00000000 (hex)

Mozzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz (Base58)
0BB7A8B59E7FB242C83304156096CABFCE80B3AB9875FFFFFFFF (hex)

Ro111111111111111111111111111111111 (Base58)
0DF5BE9ADEC4ACED5CCDDA721FEED36F39E50D3383CC00000000 (hex)

Rozzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz (Base58)
0DF83AD22A67E219525D7C11009F6A30D114080C3505FFFFFFFF (hex)

As you can see, the first tree octets (1.5 bytes) are always identical in each hex addresses.

Maybe I don't follow you but in case I do follow, is it enough to put here 9(09 hex) and 247(f6 hex)?
base58Prefixes[PUBKEY_ADDRESS] = std::vector<unsigned char>(9,247);
?
If you want "Mo":
0B (hex) = 11 (dec)
B6 (hex) = 182 (dec)
Code:
base58Prefixes[PUBKEY_ADDRESS] = std::vector<unsigned char>(11,182);

If you want "Ro":
0D (hex) = 13 (dec)
F6 (hex) = 246 (dec)
Code:
base58Prefixes[PUBKEY_ADDRESS] = std::vector<unsigned char>(13,246);
2194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: My bounty story (5.99eth) on: May 22, 2018, 01:35:51 AM
Then one day signature bounty ends Im so surprise for what i got on their bounty reward it gives me 22,612.5 cuz which like 5.99ETH its my first time to receive for that high ammount of reward and planning to hold that coin because it got a big potential.
Nice profit for the Member user. How long time did you participate in this bounty? It seems that not many users were involved to this signature campaign and stakes were divided on a huge chunks between the bounty hunters. Anyway, congratulations!
2195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange or Wallet? on: May 22, 2018, 01:27:35 AM
If you are a trader and short term holder of coin then exchanges might be an option for you, but if you are long term holder then wallet is a good option for you too. So it depends on the category you belong to.
Do you suppose that the exchange will steal the coins you deposited? Of course, the "cold" wallet is more safe, because only you know the private key. But in any case you will need to sell your crypto currency and transfer the coins to some exchange, paying transaction fees. In addition, it is easier and faster to create an address of some altcoin on the exchange.
2196  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading by follow signals. Is it good? on: May 22, 2018, 12:55:33 AM
In the current times the crypto exchange markets are manipulated by the "whales" pumping or dumping some coins. The best way to get a profit is to use an inside information about intending of the large investors. So I think that the trading by following a signals can be profitable. Of course, you should join only a reliable groups, otherwise the admin of the pumping group will scam you.
2197  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT MARKET NOW on: May 22, 2018, 12:42:15 AM
What can I say. Now almost all crypto exchange markets are in the red scope. BTC and ETH are pretty firmly standing on the feet (-1%), but other altcoins are weakening deeper (-7%). It seems that the large investors fix the profits. Only Factom makes me astonished (+21%). Probably, some trader decided to pump this coin selling some falling altcoin and buying FCT. Currently the harvesting is on the crypto exchange markets.
2198  Economy / Economics / Re: Portfolio on: May 22, 2018, 12:25:37 AM
In my opinion, now you should get these crypto currencies to your investment portfolio:
1) Bitcoin 25% - won't skyrocket, but can show an average increasing without crashing
2) Ethereum 20% - the well known platform for ICO investment
3) EOS 10% - still has a potential to grow
4) Binance Coin 10% - the promising crypto currency of one exchange
5) Bitcoin Cash 5% - sometimes its price jumps up due to successful marketing
6) Decred 5% - this coin always grows
7) other crypto currencies
2199  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Crypto currencies make local currencies disappear? on: May 22, 2018, 12:11:04 AM
Will there be a chance / time bitcoin and other crypto currencies rule over currency market and local currencies get disappear slowly in a decade or two?
No, the local currencies are backed by the powerful countries having a strong armies, therefore the governments won't allow that their own fiat currencies disappear. Also they understand that the international decentralized crypto currencies are hardly can be restricted even technically, so the wise decision is a sane regulations.
2200  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin can change economic? on: May 21, 2018, 11:49:08 PM
Bitcoin can change even the world economics. Bitcoin is designed as a payment decentralized peer-to-peer network, therefore the impact should be in the field of financial system. For example, Visa and Mastercard already compete to the crypto currencies. They are forced to provide more cheap and quality services. Bitcoin is not just a trading speculative instrument. The positive general result of Bitcoin for an ordinary people consists in the controlling the bank systems which can't relax and commit a manipulative monetary politics as they did it before.
