Nice one.  LOL
I guess it was worth it just to see if it was a scam or not.
Kind of bummed it was a scam it's not like I can afford to be scammed when I myself am broke.

Sweet.  I saw Anthony Bourdain eat a camel supposedly was tasty.  Starman should send some out way.

didn't want to go through all 6 pages of the replies, was the social experiment ever revealed?  what was the big secret...does anyone want to provide cliffs notes?

He took their money and ran. Changed his name and is living in the Arabian Peninsula where he now sells used camels.  Grin

Yea, I like watching that show with Anthony Bourdain. Maybe someday we will see Bourdain interviewing Starman. I suppose by then Starman will be living in a tent with 6 wives. Oh by the way, I hear he does except Bitcoin for his used camels.BTC

Ouch!
I'm glad my wife does not do that.
She is actually happy I have something to focus on lately.  I lucked out a bit.
I just wish I was not so dam broke.
My Jalapeno died the other day. (bad PSU)  I sent it to lightfoot for repairs and upgrading.
It's sucking the fun out of it.  I want moar GH/s!!

That is a good thing.
Mine is good with it too as long as everything else is paid first.

Hopefully she does not make you sell you gear to pay the power bill.
That would be ironic.

Had a relapse...

Went almost 20 days without buying any hardware, then blew all my mined BTC on a cube and an Antminer. Cube is in hand, Antminer will probably arrive after the next difficulty increase. I bought some BTC to cover some of the Antminer purchase, didn't want my wallet totally empty... Now I'm watching prices fall and the calculators are telling me that my daily payout will be less with the new cube than it was a week ago without it. Pushing over 250ghs right now, riding out 12+ hour blocks on Slush, guessing this is the guilty and depressing side of addiction- maybe went one purchase too far. Afraid of what the wife will say when the utility bill shows up lol.

Lol, naaa... She doesn't really care, just busts my ass about it all in good fun  Cheesy

Seems to be a recurring theme. If I don't get my money back I get punched in the face with no defense.
2183  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Introduction to DualMiner USB (could mine both BTC and LTC) on: February 07, 2014, 04:46:18 PM
I'm happy with mine so far.
It runs in LTC mode between 70 kh/s to 78 kh/s and very cool with so far no HW errors.
My only wish is that the BFG and MultiMiner support get here soon as I dislike the custom CGMiner software.

Quite a nice little unit I can't wait to get some more.

So whats the verdict on these miners?

Are you guys happy with them?
Are they arriving DOA, any issues to watch out for?

Apple is certainly a mess of a company.  It does something well then sucks the life out of it and steals others ideas to brand it's own al-la MS.
There are rumors that they are going to do their own digital currency to sidestep BTC and control the flow of the currency.

Apple is the Blackberry of tomorrow. :-)

Bought power supplies, parts, etc... Even a kettle. Bitcoin is now being used as money here.

I have heard what you stated as well from a main author.  I guess it is all FUD for now.
The DM runs doge great so far as well as LTC.
Should be good to go no matter what.
Now I just have to save to get a few more of these.  Undecided

swarm on LTC Rabbit today.
The shout box.  If you post in it about asic scrypt miners he says that is what they are doing.

Oh well, if they do that, we need an update to cgminer or sgminer or something. And that will only remain true for litecoin unless the other coins follow. I've also read about the main author welcoming ASICs since that's one way for mature coins to remain secure.

Otherwise, someone out there will make an ASIC and not announce it, so they keep all the profits to themselves or they get a very large percentage of the network hash power and cause the rest of us problems.

I was not sure if anyone has seen this info yet from LightCoin.

Did you try rebooting the system then restart?
I had to do that after the last upgrade and no issues since.

Cool shirt.
How much would they take to make?
Mind you I'm broke from buying equipment.  LOL

So just saw the response and thought. I just might make this for myself. Anyone else interested?

LOL quite appropriate.
Now if the wives don't kill us first will we ever recover or just wallow in the addiction?

Nice to meet you.  It looks like a tv show AA meeting in here.  LOL

Hello My name is Grumpy and I'm addicted to hardware. I started with a purchase of 16 USB block eruptors then purchased a blade for no freaking reason during the $500 a blade faze. Sold the USB sticks and went balls out on a AVALON clone from china 200GH/s. Then when I reached .9BTC I purchased 3 CUBES. Now trying to get rid of the clone to purchase antminers. I feel I am deep in the addiction.

not AA, HA

Yup, a goofy yet effective "experiment" it seems to be.
Maybe Starman is really Phillip Seymore Hoffman.  Shocked

Done.
I also hit up a few other threads and sites voting for MMC.

Please vote for MemoryCoin to be added to a new exchange (allcrypt.com) here:

(Note: You can vote 10 times for the same coin...)

Thanks

I would really like to see MemoryCoin added to Cryptsy.
It a be mined by so many more people with normal computers.  It has solid value and it donates to charities.

MmoryCoin would be a great one to add.
