2181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: May 16, 2022, 08:17:34 PM
I understand that Real have won La Liga ahead of schedule, but still, why do the bookmakers make Cadiz the favourite? The odds on Real are now 3.8, with the score at 1-1! Cadiz are the underdog in this game, they just have more motivation and nothing else... Real can beat them even with a second team or ten players...
Real Madrid is more strong but today match is very hard for Win in Real Madrid. Cadiz playing very well against Real Madrid. I think this match will be ended in draw.I think both team can chance to win this match.Very interesting to see Real Madrid Odds are more than Cadiz.people loves to high odds. Waiting for exactly who will win This match.

This match was very important for Cadiz. On the other hand, although If Madrid could not get any points from this match, Real Madrid did not face any problems. They have already won the title. With 1 point in this match, Cadiz's points are now equal to Mallorca's. If Cadiz can win the last match then maybe next season they will have a chance to play in La Liga. My guess is that the Cadiz team will get full points against Alaves in the last match.
Respect Cadiz's hard work to stay in La Liga, Militao's very bad way of defending, he made a lot of mistakes.
The appreciation of assists from Rodrygo, the accuracy of the passes from Kroos are truly midfield generals and the saves from Lunin are quite impressive. Real Madrid's defense needs a lot of improvement before meeting Liverpool in the Champions final.
Everyone expected Real Madrid to beat Cadiz mercilessly but respect to Cadiz for standing strong. I think they deserve to stay up in the league. They are a pretty good side. This game shows Real Madrid without Karim Benzema struggles to score goals, despite those plenty long crosses/passes from Toni Kross, it had no effect as Madrid have only one reliable goal scorer in the squad and he was absent.

Dybala have confirmed that he will be leaving Juventus after these long seven years with the club. This Monday will be his final home game for them. With the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and even Inter Milan linked to seeking his service, I think Dybala is a good player, I think he will be great plus for a team like Arsenal  I hope he'll be able to withstand the pressure of moving to a new club

Transfer rumours:
Incoming Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is targeting France and Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante, 31, as he looks to start an overhaul at Old Trafford. It seems that there will be a lot of changes in the Manchester United team again. Players and coaches change every year but results are lacking. Will anything change next season?
Liverpool and Senegal forward Sadio Mane, 30, will become a target of Bayern Munich if their Poland international striker Robert Lewandowski leaves this summer. Is it realistic for Mane  to go to Bayern and replace Lewandowski?
Lewandowski, 33, has agreed to join Barcelona on a three-year deal. It seems that despite all its financial difficulties, Barcelona still managed to bring in a very good footballer for next season.
Possibly moving in the other direction to Lewandowski is Barcelona's France forward Ousmane Dembele, 24, is on Bayern Munich's list of transfer targets. I think it will be very difficult for Barcelona to agree to such an agreement. Bayern is obviously very active in the football market this year, but will it manage to realize all its desires for transfers?
Barcelona and Netherlands midfielder Frenkie de Jong, 25, is prepared to waive nearly £6m in unpaid wages in order to seal a move to Manchester City. Frenkie de Jong is obviously determined and wants to leave  Grin
Juventus are set on bringing Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, 29, back to the club this summer. The France international's contract runs out at the end of the season. It seems like this long-running football saga is finally over  Grin

It is good that there are a lot of changes being made in the Manchester United squad because I don't see them performing well in the next season also.
I really don't think it is a good choice for Mane to go and play for Bayern Munich when he is playing really well for Liverpool.
I believe the Barcelona squad is going to be a lot stronger with the arrival of Robert Lewandowski. But I also think that Barcelona should seriously think about their defense because that is the weakest part of Barcelona's squad right now.
Pogba should really move to another club and Juventus seems to be a great option for him right now because if he stays that Manchester United he is not going to get too many things done.
De Jong is really determined to leave the club because I think he has become really homesick and he is not liking the environment at all.
Paul Pogba seems to be made for the Italian Serie A, his time at Juventus was incredible. He was arguably the best central midfielder in the world but moving to Manchester United has seen him lose those brilliance with only few good displays. Just maybe going back to Juventus will bring back the Pogba we knew.
2184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: May 15, 2022, 06:32:47 PM
What do you mean by wages of 350k per hour? In Qatar most of the work force is made up of immigrants from South Asia. These workers earn in the range of $1-$2 per hour, if not less. And there are reports that around 6,000 workers died during the construction of stadiums for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. I am not saying that all of these deaths resulted from accidents at work place. A lot of them died as a result of sunstroke and cardiac arrest. But most of these deaths could have been avoided, if the Qatari authorities had provided better working conditions.
But the irony is that nobody voiced for such deaths that resulted just because of abusive use of labor. This abusive use of labor is not only limited to Qatar, almost all gulf states have such attitude towards poor immigrants from south Asia. Few months later everyone will be busy enjoying and betting on FIFA worldcup matches, no one will remember such deaths.
There will be plenty of people like you and me who will remember. In fact it is such a big deal that Fifa actually fired Sepp Blatter who if I am not wrong ended up being the reason why we are having a Qatar World Cup this year because he took bribes. It was such a big news that we had interim president for a while and now have a new one.

The new one will have to give it to nations with democracy and no slave labor just to make sure that they are going to the right direction and current president doesn't get impeached as well. So, we are going to see new decisions made for better nations and that will be better for everyone who watches it as well.
What happened in Qatar is modern day slavery. It's sad that the cost of this world cup was people's lives. I really can't blame Sepp Blatter because he was only been fair to the Arab nations and in the bid of developing the game in those affiliated countries, the world cup has to be awarded to Qatar. I think the US and most European countries were angry because the world cup didn't favour them this time around.

Real Madrid beat Levante 6–0, dropping them into relegation and unable to prevent their drop to the Second Division, Madrid, already champions of LaLiga, had no mercy, and threw a goal feast. on the other hand Vinicius Junior celebrated SIUUUU like Cristiano Ronaldo after scoring a hat-trick in that match. He has been the most developed player in recent years. Real Madrid Brazil's project is spot on. With this big win, it seems like Real Madrid are ready to face Liverpool in the Champions League final.
Vinicius Jnr is proving his doubters wrong, it will less rating to just say he is the best youngster, I think he is one of the best football players in the world at this point and apparently clear of any youngster. While Benzema gets all the credit at Real Madrid, if you look closely you'll see Vinicius Jnr has worked really hard and has been exceptional for the club and even made Benzema looked very good. The flair and skill of Vinicius has amazed many football fans he has been compared with Neymar at some point. With this hattrick I think he just got started and there are many to come.

Mariam London's defeat from Tottenham Hotspur, prevented Arsenal from getting a ticket to the Champions League next season, because now they are only one point apart, the competition will be presented again to fight for a ticket to the Champions League, while Liferpol is competing with Manchester City for the title. EPL league, we should see who will get a ticket to the champions league, I can't predict who will come out as champion this year, and who will succeed in getting a ticket to the champions league.
Arsenal from the first half looked insecure against Tottenham, they made a lot of mistakes and Rob Holding really frustrated Arsenal the whole match because of his red card. Arsenal were forced to play with 10 men after Holding was sent off for fouling Son hard. It left Arsenal outnumbered and they conceded another goal to Kane just 4 minutes later.

Although 1 point seems safe for Arsenal, but there are still concerns about their success in the next 2 matches. Arsenal will only qualify for the Champions League if they win those 2 match, but Newcastle and Everton are still tough teams to beat due to their erratic form. While Tottenham only need to finish the season by winning 2 match against the relegation zone team, there may be no surprises but it will be interesting nonetheless.
Rob Holding was really embarrassing last night, he literally made Tottenham Hotspur grow in the game. Arsenal lacked discipline and it is been worse since Mikel Arteta took over. I think they have come to far for the race of top four spot to fall off the cliff, I still think they can make the top four.

If Erik ten Hag is to survive in Manchester United, 80 percent of the current players need to be overhauled. Manchester United need a long term to rejuvenate the team. Erik is going to need more than three years. I'm afraid the management will not want to give Erik that much time they will want instant result in a year or two.

Absolutely, that's what I am thinking, too. Ten Hag's success will depend on how quickly he can rebuild the team. With the current squad, you can't play at the top in the long term. Man United will definitely have to invest a lot of money. It's main problem in recent years has not been the coaches, but the players. But I fear that the squad can't be rebuilt fast enough for the new coach to succeed.

Even though United has been led by Erik Ten Hag starting next season, we cannot guarantee that the former Ajax coach will be able to bring United back to the track for the title next season where the current United squad cannot compete with big teams like Liverpool and Manchester City to compete for the title. making their own changes for Erik ten hag is not easy if the club is not generous in the transfer market this time considering that Erik ten hag has to patch up so many holes that United has in the defense, of course this will be a PR for Erik ten Hag to start the competition with Manchester United next year the future where until now there have been no transfer rumors discussed by Manchester United regarding the players who will be brought to Old Trafford
Manchester United actually looked scary at the beginning if this season though, but obviously all they did was blow bubbles and concede goals. I really hope incoming coach Erik Ten Hag builds a good team that will be able to perform consistently well throughout next season. Manchester United fans are optimistic the club will be back to form next season but this is not the first time they are having this level of optimism.

Without playing the main players will have no effect on the results obtained, Ancelotti tries to give playing minutes to his main players to maintain their performance in the Champions League. The risk of injury had to be avoided by Real Madrid ahead of the final, Ancelotti was a bit late in making substitutions for Benzema and Modric, but Real Madrid were lucky that Benzema and Modric were able to leave the pitch safely.
The same scenario as he did in the match against Levante might be a good solution for Ancelotti and his players. Several substitutions in the second half were part of giving the players more rest time, so they didn't need to be substituted for 90 minutes during the march. So even though Real Madrid have secured the league title this season, it seems they are still concerned with full points from each match in order to maintain their prestige.

I think Ancelotti saw no need giving Levante a point since they were already going for relegation so starting Benzema and Modric he knew the risk but decided to embark on it. All stars were lucky have left the pitch sound without fractures. I might not be shocked if Benzema and Modric comes from the bench to play in the champions league. Liverpool is full of energetic young stars , Ancelotti might decide to surprise Liverpool by starting  Peter González and E. Camavinga in the midfield he is so unpredictable at the moment
Real Madrid focus is on the UEFA Champion's League finals, it is understandable why they should put in a formidable squad in the league games. It is important not to incur complaints from another team that Madrid are bias and disrespecting the league especially if they eventually drop points.
2189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: May 13, 2022, 05:44:44 PM
Arsenal would have just gotten at least a point from Tottenham Hotspur for them to kill Spurs hopes of catching up with them but anyways Arsenal may still make the top four beating both Newcastle and Everton in the remaining games. Arsenal would’ve had boxed off the top four if not forced to play the first three games with numerous COVID-19 cases before others were allowed to call their games off. I think they deserve to be in the top four because they have won the third most games in the league this season

Tottenham have just got ahead 1-0 by Harry Kane's penalty goal. The match between them and Arsenal started quite balanced actually but it is 1-0 now. I'm curious about how Arsenal will be answering this. This is a very important match for both of these teams so Arsenal must be able to get one point at worst here. It'd be enough for them to keep the four-point difference with Tottenham in the standings.

I'm so upset with the Referee, why didn't he look into VAR. I couldn't see where Arsenal flopped in defending the ball and if you replay it, it even looks like Devies did a foul but wasn't look at.
It is not over until it when Referee blow the final whisle, I elieve in Arsenal that they will do better to equalize this before the second half and by the time they come the remaining half time, it will be offensive match for Tottenham.
I feel the same way here because regardless of anything, VAR can actually change things here but in this case the decision is unanimous and Tottenham are temporarily ahead.
there is still a lot of time, the game is still not entirely Tottenham's there will be something interesting it seems because the tension is starting to rise now
The Referee acted hastily, I don't think that was a penalty. Football is a contact sport, how do you expect defenders to defend. It's going to tell a lot on Arsenal, a goal down and a man down. Arsenal is not a team known for playing with 10 men successfully. Spurs have the advantage. This is a nightmare for Arsenal.
2192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: May 12, 2022, 07:10:07 PM
The Referee just awarded a penalty to Tottenham Hotspur. He didn't even consult VAR, let's hope that judgement isn't contested later on. Harry Kane just did it again for Spurs. Tottenham is 1-0, there is still a lot of minutes left in the first half. Arsenal have the capacity to respond. It's a good lead it's left for Arsenal to get back into the game. Arsenal have reacted well to the goal and are pushing forward.

If it were not for Liverpool FC, Manchester City would have turned the EPL into a one club league. There's apparently zero competition for them but thanks to Liverpool for matching them for the past few years since Pep took over as manager. If liverpool are not careful they will likely end the season with just the Carabao Cup. Chelsea will fly the FA cup. The Premier League title is meant for Manchester City again.
Manchester City is no longer in the Champions League, and their focus is solely on the Premier League. The Reds should just focus on the Champion's League and FA Cup rather than the Premier League. It is true that Manchester City is angry and the Premier League title is again meant for them. Since Liverpool cannot afford a goal difference in their next two games, a win against West Ham United will assure Manchester City the title.
Manchester City are definitely focus on winning this season's premier league now since that's the only trophy they have left to win. Going trophyless will be unacceptable and labeled failure after throwing a 12 points lead earlier. If I'm Jurgen Klopp I would just focus on UEFA Champion's league, and respectfully leave the FA cup for Chelsea

Manchester City win against Newcastle has saved them face  from the UEFA defeat by Real Madrid. It would have be a dagger at the heart if they dropped points following Liverpool. I think Manchester City board members would have sacked Pep Guardiola or consider move to sign several at least two defenders, a goalkeeper, a midfielder and a striker before competing for European trophy next season.
I don't think they will sack Guardiola. Guardiola is a great coach, even now I am very happy to see the pattern of his game. Even today they can Halaand for next season, Man city will be even stronger. I think that's what they need right now. Sacking Guardiola will not solve the problem, they will only add to the length of the player's adaptation to the new coach.
Guardiola dismissal will actually make Manchester City worse off, Guardiaola has managed to bring Manchester City to the highest level of the Premier League so far, so it looks like the management will keep Guardiola until the end of his contract, with the arrival of several new players next season maybe we will see Manchester City can compete in the champions league, because I think the champions league trophy is the only target that Manchester has not been able to achieve at this time.
Mancini too won three trophies in 3 season with Manchester City. These two managers were kicked out because Manchester City had the intent of competing and winning the UCL. Guardiola is 6 years in the club now and still no UCL, it is understandable why people are suggesting his sack. Do I think they will sack him? No.

What failed in my opinion, because so far Guardianola has been able to bring Manchester City to compete in the domestic league championship and bring Manchester City to run quite far in the Champions League, maybe right now Manchester City is just not lucky enough to get the big ear trophy.
If Manchester City sack Pep Guardiola, they will be in uncertain period again and they will have difficulty to protect or win Premier League. Not to mention about Champions League, I don't think they can find another coach who can bring domination and stable performance like Pep, at least in Premier League.
Manchester City will not do that, firing Guardiola is the biggest mistake. Manchester City has failed in the Champions League, but not in the Premier League. Guardiola has won several trophies for Manchester City and built the club with his trademark tiki-taka tactics. Manchester City's consistency in the Premier League cannot be separated from Guardiola's role, Manchester City must be able to find a better coach than Guardiola if they want to end their collaboration with Guardiola.
Pep spent a lot of money to get the champion's league but kept failing. The real question is what exactly has Guardiola done apart from winning the domestic league that other past Manchester City manager won too?
Manuel Pellegrini actually won 3 trophies in two season and got them to the semifinal of the Champion's league. Pep lost his shot of winning the champions league.
2198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Final! on: May 11, 2022, 06:35:13 PM
I think many Manchester City fans are behind Pep Guardiola no matter if they win the UEFA Champion's League or not. Pep is the only manager that is criticised for not winning the champion's league. Sir Alex Ferguson won 2 in 30 years, many didn't talk about him getting sacked. Well, these points are understandable accurate but Fergie didn't spent over half a billion pounds to recruit players.

The title race is almost over, if Manchester City can just win their game tonight, they will just need a draw in the last game to win the league are going to win it now. It will be hard they will drop any points at this stage of the race.
Pep Guardiola and his team are used to having control as shown in the league and if he doesn't overthink in this game by deviating from his structural setup, he should be able to win this league.

Haaland in Barcelona could happen only if Haaland takes a huge pay cut to whatever he could be paid in City, I mean 500k per week is not a small amount, I do not know how they do it, like is it 52 weeks, or is it just playing weeks, but in the end, it’s going to be plenty of money, 20 million at the very least, probably a lot more than that with incentives as well.
He does deserve that to be fair to him, but he never played in a major team before and that is why he is getting this money, after 3-4 years of playing in Barcelona or city, he could get offers as high as Mbappe does. For the time being, he should get the biggest payer and just be there.

I don't think that a transfer of Haaland to FC Barcelona is realistic at all. Barcelona has 1,3 Billion € worth of debts and even though they have proven time and time again that they can not really handle money but even they should responsible enough to not pay more than 300 M€ for the whole Haaland package which also includes 30 M€ that Haalands father is demanding just for his son to sign to a new club, absolutely ridiculous. Barcelona can just not afford to make such a transfer and if they would really try to sign Haaland i would hope that the authorities step in to prevent that. In the end they have 1,3 Billion € of debts which means they owe that money to somebody else and they should not make big transfer until they have payed most of that money back.
It is sad that Barcelona could not compete with Manchester City financially for Erling Haaland. Barcelona have been having financial problems after they carelessly spent money they got from PSG for selling Neymar. I think the release is too fair for any club to meet but the problem is definitely the wages and that's where I think Barcelona lost it.
