I would try encrypting the wallet with PGP if possible (of course you would need a scanner or something to read the PGP message from paper, or just save the PGP message on usb stick or something). So if you do not mind doing some of those things, i would use PGP and store the PGP private key somewhere else. Here is a good tutorial on how to use PGP for starters: https://www.deepdotweb.com/2013/11/11/pgp-tutorial-for-newbs-gpg4win/

I've been told that everyone has received their coins. If I receive no complaints in the next 24 hours, I will release escrow to the development team.
I did not invest but, i think that it would be way more convinient to release after the working tor version has been released. Because currently all the commits to the github have been only adding their own copyrights into the files.

Can i get paid on doge? SInce the fees are so damn high that it makes no sense to use bitcoin for this. Also, has anyone got payment from this? I would love to signup for this if you can confirm that the payment will not all go to the fees. Edit: so you sent in batches, okay nevermind then

Blockchain.info no longer works. To export your addresses, you need to go to Help>Debug Window>Console. Key in the following. Ignore the first if you didn't put any password on your wallet. walletpassphrase Password 1000 dumpprivkey 1address Replacing password and 1address accordingly. You should have a string of alphanumerical letters. Do this for all the keys you have exported. Next, go to https://electrum.org/#download and download the portable version if you're using it on your USB drive. Open it and you would be greeted with a screen. #1 Select Standard Wallet and select import Use Public or Private key. Key in all the keys and click next and you're done. Please save the keys that you have exported. #2 If you do not need to export them because you don't need the address or you don't have any balance, simply click standard wallet and select create a seed. I recommend transferring all your Bitcoins to a seed wallet since it is far better that way. If you want to do this, do #2 and go to Wallet>Private Keys and sweep. You can key in all your private keys in the big dialog and select an address. I have not tried this for a while so, I had no idea that the blockchain tool did not work. Just exporting every private key can be really frustrating but at the end you will manage to export all the keys. And yes HD wallets are way more convienent, especially if you back up the seed as PGP signed message then it will be really nice to just decrypt the seed and import to needed wallet.

still doesn't
I've done everything as u told. May be it did not work cuz the app is installed on USB-drive
Are you willing to try exporting the keys onto some light wallet light multibit or electrum? Then you would not need to have the whole chain (or are you running a node?). it might be a suitable solution. I don't want to download all the blocks one more time If you trust blockchain.info, you could just use this tool: https://blockchain.info/wallet/import-walletIf not, you would probably have to export private keys that have balance one by one into a text file or something similar. Here is guide: 1.Visit https://blockchain.info/wallet/import-wallet. Drag the Bitcoin-Qt wallet.dat file into the dotted area. Follow the instructions. 2.Login to the new wallet. Under the Backup heading click download. 3.Open multibit choose Tools -> Import Private Keys. Now import the wallet.aes.json file just downloaded. 4.Delete the keys from the blockchain.info wallet. You could do it via that way, and send the coins to the wallet you want easily. Let me know what you think about this there is also this tool but it is way harder to use: https://github.com/jackjack-jj/pywallet

Bitcoin mining is not really profitable with the laptop, i would look onto altcoin mining instead (you can swap it later for btc). Site named http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency tells you some estimated profit you can make per hour with some specified hashing power. Example monero has been pretty profitable to mine for a longer time now Or you could just rent has from nicehash if you want to mine for profit, but not to invest on some hardware Was it exactly bitcoin you wanted to mine?

do you know of a free VPN service I can use to access the site?
I had that idea originally (and tried using tor) to register but it wouldn't allow me to access the site through tor even...
Sorry if my reply is too newb, I don't think tor's IP displacement is the same as a VPN, but I'm still sorta getting knowledge on all the tenichal side of the inter webs...
PS thanks for being helpful and not yelling at me for any of my stupidity, my pride appreciates it! Haha
Yeah no problem And tor IP's are usually blocked by every possible site that does not want near anonymous users. If you are willing to pay, you will get a lot better service (like www.privateinternetaccess.com). But for free service, i would suggest trying www.hide.me for example, 2GB data cap and they claim to store no logs So i would use the payeer account via their service always when you use it because it would raise flags if you logged in from another country the next moment you have registered.

I'm looking to have someone in another country (I reside in the US) to register for a payeer account and send me the login details so that I hopefully can login and use the account (not sure if they have a regional ban on registering, or total access)
If someone felt like helping out of the kindness of their heart that would be ideal...
Thanks in advance community, and I hope everyone who reads this at the least has a good day. 🤗
Why don't you register via free vpn? I mean you could bypass the country ban via vpn, also if they find out that you are from US, they could easily ban you and seize your funds.

What Operating systems you have? If you have windows, press WINDOWS (should be a windows flag on keyboard) + R, and then write in %APPDATA%\Bitcoin and press enter. Remove everything else except wallet.dat, then make a new file called bitcoin.conf and add this to it (or you can pick your own nodes from here: http://blockchain.info/connected-nodes) : addnode=142.162.23.214 addnode=199.168.99.42 addnode=83.143.130.19 then save the file and try opening bitcoin core again, if it still does not connect let me know and i will write you some things to help with exporting private keys onto different wallet. Cheers, Onni

agree, it took me a while to understand and the state of cryptocurrency with its flaws and issues made me didn't care. Recently, the 42 crowd have been devoted and trustworthy and I can't say it was one person that showed good, its the whole 42 family past and present and even though we made mistakes along the way .. To correct some of the deeper flaws Bitcoin still manage to hide (not technically, impersonal!!) the people money can be manage without centralization from the government and now imagine many years from now an inheritance community knocks a door to find the holders future relatives and to find ownership of their unclaimed coin..
42-coin forever!!!
42coin has definetly some potential (not for daily payments probably because it is so hard to play with the decimals). I think that the coin has alot of potential as kind of like "collection" coin. I hope that we will build a decent community soon enough, also a theme on the wallet would be pretty dope (too bad i am not a programmer so i do not know how to do it).

wow, 4.077. well then you can help us.. we need some dots coin for cryptopia to reopen the 42-coin market.. Lasergun how much do you need?? ive been sending some donations of dots coin for this ...
The new market is all ready, however we have run into issues with the old 42 coin wallets, its almost 3 years old and filled with tiny transactions (0.00000003 etc) so when people try to withdraw its failing with the good ol' "Transaction is Too Large" error, we are trying to figure out how to consolidate all these inputs without using all the coins as fees, LOL its tricky and probably not a problem the developers thought of when making the original 42 coin. Anyway we are working as fast as we can to get the 42 wallet fixed but have no ETA as of yet New market can be opened whenever you guys are ready Do not hurry, do as it will be better. As for us, we are always ready. Exactly. We will be always ready. I think it is better to open the markets after it is sure that everything works smoothly

well if you are holding over 0.1 BTC i would get something like trezor or ledgerwallet. Multibit-HD or electrum are my recommendations from software wallet side. Mycelium is a decent wallet for android phones, since it has much functionality. And also you can attach ledgerwallet nano or ledgerwallet nano S via usb OTG to your phone so you will need that to sign the transaction on the ledger hardware wallets. I do not know about iOS, feel free to ask more if needed .)

I was able to register for free. Did they go back to invite-only?
Actually never mind, i will lock the thread since the email they sent me said "chris ( chris@chriscoyne.com) just granted you 4 Keybase invitations, which you can send to friends. Please use them wisely! The signup queue is > 25,000 people long right now, and this bypasses the line entirely." This is absolutely ridicolous, thanks for heads up

Giving out free five keybase.io invites. If anyone is interested on trying the service let me know, there is queue of 25000 people waiting for invite i think. I am giving the invites out for free, but i do of course take tips if you feel like doing so (you can find my address on my profile). Im not posting them here so bots will not grab them. Shoot me up with a Private message with your email included if you are interested.

Hence you cannot sign a message from any. So far this account is a very high risk as it might be hacked. I can probably fill this, but only up to 0.01 BTC. If you agree please post an application on my thread here. Is there any other way to prove that it is indeed mine? And i need minimum of 0.012 :/ do you think you could do that if i send you mail from my email too? Sorry, this is the best offer I have for you. Edit: why not just wait for the bitmixer campaign to pay you? Because i need to get money to the bus card urgently and the bitmixer campaign payment will take still around 6 days.
