2181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc crime on: August 18, 2022, 10:03:19 PM
Recently 3 suspects were arrested by Israel police for laundering money internationally through crypto. This money was stolen from France. This is a major international money-laundry.

Bitcoin this, Bitcoin that, Bitcoin government headache, government lets kill this bitcoin, government spread negative news on bitcoin, when will all this stop? The government will always find one little thing to hold against what they don't want or what they don't want to exist.
Money Laundering started way back since the inception of fiat and is still going on, especially by business, so much illegal money has been washed through clubs and warehouses, and some coke has been exchanged in fiat printed by the same government. Criminals will always use any means to carry out their evils, I know it is a concern for the bitcoin ecosystem but they shouldn't make it look as if it only happens with bitcoin.
2182  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is the Blockchain.Com is Bitcoin Blockchain or the Bitcoin Core QT ? on: August 18, 2022, 02:43:04 AM
Where exactly Bitcoins are Stored in the database ? Is it in the Bitcoin Core QT or in the Blockchain.Com ?

Can any one explain me please ?

Technically, your Bitcoins are not stored but they are locked on the public key, when they are successfully locked, each of these transaction data/hash is included in a block by a miner and permanently distributed to every node that is connected to the bitcoin network, these blocks are in sequence and it continues in that manner when a new block is successfully mine and hence the name blockchain.

Bitcoin core and Blockchain.com are two different wallets and none of them stores your bitcoin but store your private keys and helps you spend your bitcoin.

------

I've capcut what you've typed there in case you change your mind. However, what you said makes no sense; you obviously don't understand economics; stable coins are no different from fiat, only that they are digital money utilized in cryptocurrencies. When you print more money out of nowhere and due to the obvious power invested in some sector, they just want to forcefully give it value and you expect it to be balanced with life expectations, inflation is unavoidable when you go brrr, this is what fiat has been struggling with for decades, and 2022 was the rollercoaster of all, you see the FEDs making adjustments every month just to balance everything.
2184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Countries have banned Bitcoin; Do you believe is because of criminal activities on: August 17, 2022, 10:07:04 AM
Look at the growth of Bitcoin from the day of inception, no significant assets that have managed to do that kind of growth linearly, the ones who grow like that collapsed and were tagged as a bubbled investment but bitcoin survive the names and more people are coming to the system. This is what the government fears, they don't want people to abandon their old system, they fear that people will prefer bitcoin and cryptos to all the bonds and securities they are all controlling.
If you look at the US and some other bitcoin friendly countries that allowed bitcoin in their state are working with exchanges to regulate it, that's why they are also benefiting from the taxes and revenue they generate from their people, they know it cannot be controlled not because some people used it for criminal activity but because that's what people want, something decentralized and not control by old men in political offices.
2185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New whale bought $3 billion dollars worth of Bitcoins.. on: August 17, 2022, 09:18:39 AM

It is kind of odd for such kind of wallet to have that kind of bitcoin held on a single wallet, let's assume that it is an exchange wallet which in this case is assumed to belong to coinbase but most exchange cold wallets are always multi-sig wallet for security reasons but this is an old wallet legacy address.
If you look at the transaction with this wallet address 1LQoWist8KkaUXSPKZHNvEyfrEkPHzSsCd
I'm a bit sceptical about why will MicroStrategy send bitcoin to coinbase wallet, if they are doing an OTC transaction, it should be that it is the exchange wallet that should be sending bitcoin to the MicroStrategy wallet. Also, the assumed coinbase wallet just had only incoming transactions and not a single outgoing transaction which leaves me with the question that where will they have bitcoin to settle some institutional investors who subsequently withdraw or even trade bitcoin if that wallet belong to coinbase.

More detailed interaction between MicroStrategy, other wallets and 1LQoWist8KkaUXSPKZHNvEyfrEkPHzSsCd, you can see that coinbase wallets are also sending bitcoin to Microstrategy and then later sent to the legacy wallet address.

2186  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you want to be a hero? (maybe not) on: August 17, 2022, 08:02:41 AM
A man in Lebanon was hailed a hero after he takes a bank a hostage. And the reason why he did that? it's because he can't withdraw his money from bank. He had a family emergency, so obviously, he needed that money for hospital bills and all his saving is in that bank. And the hostage ended after the negotiators were able to produce $35,000 (£29,000) of his savings upfront.

Quote
The suspect's brother told journalists: "My brother has $210,000 in the bank and wants to get just $5,500 to pay hospital bills."

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-62514631

I don't know if I can good to that length to hostage the bank or something. But one thing is for sure, if people could just learn how to put their money on bitcoin or crypto, in which they have total control, maybe in times of need, you can just transfer some and convert it to fiat anytime you want. You don't need to be a hero.

I'm not in support of bank actions y holding his money but I feel what he did was wrong, he may still be prosecuted for holding someone as a hostage in either to get his money. I have experienced a similar situation in a bank when one of their customers did withdraw his money from ATM but the transaction wasn't successful and at the same time, he was debited, all efforts to credit back money on his account was delayed even after filling the necessary documents and the day he was told to wait passed. The next time he came to the bank, he cause a scene, he was shouting and demanded to see the manager and was ready to go one on one with the security, in less than a few minutes, the money was credited back to his account, he withdraws all his money and never used the bank again. I think that guy should have used another approach to get their attention and not on a person's life.

Not everyone will use bitcoin, it might be best to boycott these banks but it means as payment is sometimes limited by its volatility. Again, if that man is paying a hospital bill, I believe he still going to use a bank to have access to cash because banks wouldn't accept bitcoin in this case.
2187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Describe what Bitcoin has done for you on: August 16, 2022, 02:48:51 PM
Only little exposure I had about the economy, bitcoin research has made me break boundaries of knowledge and expose me to things I don't know, Bitcoin has thought me things the government has been hiding from the public especially the free room of freedom for all. Bitcoin has thought me to be independent of banks, it has reflected what it is to be a bank instead of depending on any traditional institution to facilitate my payments, it has removed the restriction of middle men and lastly, I am more exposed to the techniques of bitcoin. If you ask me, I will say Bitcoin is just an unending beauty, the more you look at it every day, the more you want to get a hold of at least one in your wallet.
2188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 16, 2022, 02:35:45 PM
Liverpool are unlucky for the second match in a row... Yesterday I was sure they would win but their game was even worse than the one against Fulham... Could it be that the team is having problems after Mane's leaving? Suppose yesterday's game was decided by a quick goal from Crystal Palace and Nunez's red card, but still Liverpool played out two draws, while the other favourites started the season with wins...

They don't know Mane's value when he was in Liverpool and I was happier when he left after the end of his contract, that guy was underpaid if you compare his wages and performance with other players, he publicly said that he is playing to earn but they couldn't increase the pay rate and he is now in Bayern. Had it been that werewolf Mane was on that yesterday's match against crystal palace, it wouldn't have ended in that draw, such a poor performance from Liverpool lately.
I don't know why the top English teams are even underperforming this season, perhaps it is too early to troll them. Tongue
2189  Economy / Gambling / Re: The History Of Gambling. on: August 16, 2022, 02:14:15 PM
What do we think of gambling and what is our major concernment. Because i what to tell you that gambling is not bad and it can be condenmeable, i don't blame people that quits alcohol and take over gambling as best option because when you are looking at it, you will see that gambling is what is going on everywhere and especially casino gambling many people is now using it as best option. So for me i can not leave gambling because i know my what in the gamblling.
Everything that is a lot is bad and especially if the entire effect on it the person is becoming bad. That's why those that don't gamble tell us that gambling is bad and we as gamblers will say that it's not that bad and it will base on the person's activeness and perspective on gambling.
Especially these days, gambling is everywhere because almost all of the people in the world have their own smart devices, be it on smartphones, gadgets, PC or laptops.

Religious view on gambling is subjected to the type you worship, I have seen a Parisian company who majorly are Shite rum a casino, they have an announcement thread on this forum and they are even running a signature right now, so because something is prohibited from a particular religion doesn't make it exceptional for other religions because the last I checked, we hundreds of other religion apart from Muslim and Christians especially now that we also have the free thinkers who don't believe on the existence of God. Saying gambling is bad, if at all it is, no government will licence casino houses, only the extremists see the addicted players and then generalise it as a whole.
2190  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which crypto sportbooks are VPN friendly on: August 16, 2022, 08:56:18 AM
Can definitely cause problems if you do make yourself get caught but since we are already on that online access era or internet era then getting caught would be really hard for government to do so.
If gambling is restricted and prohibited on some countries then it would be understandable that you do need to avoid but if you are really that eager then you would make use of VPN.
We know that it does have different classifications whether its premium or free and we know on what its con's and pro's in regarding changing IP but in overall most sports book are
neither strict about VPN but in overall it would be good on asking in regard on this manner into their support so that you would have the idea.
But don't forget that the government can still detect everyone who accesses the internet. The government can use its power to detect where people are exploring the internet. If, in our country, gambling is prohibited, we should not violate it because it could get us in trouble one day. But even though we know that gambling is prohibited in our country, we still gamble and many of us even use VPNs to access gambling. This can cause problems for us later but hopefully, it doesn't happen to us.

This is what a VPN can do, but the problem with them is that they are centralized, and your government can sanction the company that allows VPN service to their country. This is why it is advisable to always use TOR, as nobody can censor it, it is also an open source, and anyone from around the world can use it. Your government can know who is using the internet as they can easily know when you connect with an IS provider, but the government will be limited to knowing your next move when you IP address is wrapped by the next node, they wouldn't know your location if you are wrapping them with another. The only disadvantage with it is that a KYC may be request in future which may live you hanging.
2191  Economy / Gambling / Re: The Biggest Wins with lowest risks in Casino History on: August 16, 2022, 08:28:02 AM
How can you be that lucky?? It's just outrageously unfair Cheesy

Check that table, is there anything unfair with those outcomes considering the multiple times a wager must have been lost by players, these kinds of luck are something that happens once in a while with such a huge amount of reward and they are always land base casino. I'm just wondering if there is any online casino that has had these kinds of users who have won something similar, I fear that some unfair casino may flag the player's account that he must have cheated and withdrawals will be disabled, you don't have to prove anything playing with any land-based casino, in fact, everyone will be watching as you play.
2192  Economy / Gambling / Re: I Have a Question ~ Are 1xbit Campaigners Playing on 1xbit? on: August 14, 2022, 09:56:37 PM
I can bet my balls that those participants don't contribute anything to 1xbit, they receive their weekly payout in their private wallets, they don't know what the casino is all about otherwise none will want to promote them after losing all their weekly earnings on the scam casino.
It has also been discussed that almost half of the accounts that are participating on 1xbit  belong to them which means they are only paying a few accounts that promote their banner on the forum, they add little or no value to them and to the forum, the ones that get accepted wouldn't try their game either.
2193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: August 14, 2022, 09:19:39 PM
Real Madrid are a war machine, last season they really did a lot. I honestly don't think it's easy to be able to match these champions with a team that has been playing together for a long time and therefore knows each other (and wins).
But Barcelona could surprise us.

While it is true that in football, experience is everything, don't underrate a team that is eager to establish itself in La Liga again. This team(Almeria) have been around for some time without having the opportunity to play La Liga, nothing will stop them now to capitalize on their chance to make that history that Real Madrid has overlooked. Ramazani gives Real Madrid the lead after just five minutes of play, and by the looks of their five-man defence, Real Madrid will find it challenging to be able to score, however, they always pray for a miracle and it always happens, who knows if that will happen today again.
2194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Gambling companies can get more users to deposit. on: August 14, 2022, 06:22:21 PM
Well gamblers love promotions that's the first thing and and also the features that at the same time they can enjoy it while gambling where in no hassle. And if they want to get more attention then they should have all the things that what gamblers looking for, not just one time but very often so that they can gained trust in the long run. They need to be honest and very promising to get attention from gamblers..

Promotions are one of the simplest ways to attract new players, but they are frequently abused by some players, with some going so far as to open multiple accounts in order to have multiple ways to cash out from the casino, these are the reasons why casinos become strict when users earn from the bonuses they offer their players.
Most importantly, they should allow players to withdraw without causing any uproar with any genuine player. Support is a key thing that some casinos lack, they are the basic thing that some casinos lack, without them, players will be discouraged to play because they won't know who to complain to when a problem arises.
2195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Myths that we often hear on: August 14, 2022, 06:02:14 PM
I don't think you are really right, men get addicted to gambling not just because they are the provider of the money, some men will take a loan and gamble with it, which I believe girls can also take loan, also some women also working and they are receiving decent salary but they don't still gamble, not all girls wait for men to give them money, some of them are having their money but I don't know why women don't really gamble like men.

Real men don't take loans and wager them on some random games and bookies, they used them for something serious other than gambling and so do women, when your gambling reaches the point where you have to take loan, there should be a stop to it because that's where the addiction began and the moment you become used to it, you may find it difficult to get out of it.
The reason why we have few women who gamble is that you should know that women are wire different the way men are, men have that mind to take risks than women and can also withstand any outcome be it good or bad, if the latter happens to the women, some may collapse, it is their nature.
2196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Profitable are Gambling Bots? on: August 14, 2022, 05:43:38 PM
Yes, I also think that those who sell "profitable" bots are ordinary scammers. I have nothing against ordinary bots that help automate trading/betting/monitoring, but "profitable" bots are 100% fraud. It’s pretty funny that judging by the number of topics (if you look at the betting forums), there is always someone naive who buys either a bot or just betting tips (or even information about supposedly fixed games hahaha) and then resents that he was deceived.

Anytime that I see a BOT discussion pertaining to gambling, I do ponder if really some people know how bots actually work. First of all, most casinos consider them illegal to use bots on their websites and if any player is found using it, they will lose their account and whatever is left on their balance.
Another thing some greedy players who are always searching for an alternative way to screw the casinos don't know is that no accurate developer would want to sell out profitable bots, if it is working and they are earning as they claim, they wouldn't want to reveal it to the public so that they wouldn't get exposed, in fact, they would want to be the only one benefiting from their hard work, what is the essence of selling a bot for $500 that you can use to win 50x of that if at all it was real, good bots don't exit.
2197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 14, 2022, 05:04:54 PM
The first half has ended and Chelsea temporarily won 1-0 over Tottenham. The match was running at a fast and high tempo. Koulibaly scored the first goal for Chelsea in the Premier League.
Chance to change the score in the second half is still there, because Tottenham through Son and Keane quite a lot of trouble for Chelsea.
Havertz and Mount in the second half will certainly be instructed by Tuchel to step up Chelsea attack again.

It is unlike Tottenham we all know, If Chelsea is going to call this match a victory, they really need to pour in more pressure and keep their defence guided. Tottenham has equalised and they both have 1-1, the energy they have returned from the first half is really working but they are weak and statically Chelsea is leading, I don't want this goal should be confidence for Tottenham otherwise they may end up the game as a draw because I can see that Tottenham is playing a defensive game now.
2198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An alternative to gambling with money. on: August 13, 2022, 05:56:41 PM
Yes, I agree with you on this. First off gambling with fake money won't give you the vibe and same feeling you have when you gamble with real money because you will be expecting to win or lose and your expectations will be high, especially if the game you gambled on is going well as played. No gambler will like to gamble with fake money because it's a waste of time as it is not a money-oriented investment and the gambler will not be happy whether the game is going well or not.

Playing with fake money has a way of even giving a player more chance of winning and luck than when you use real money which always gives a false impression that you are ready but non-ideally, you are just preparing to feed your money to a casino because you will lose to them.
It is not as if gamblers don't just want to play with fake money, they do but there is no joy in winning fake money you wouldn't be able to withdraw but there may be fun in trying and getting the experience of the game especially if you don't know much about it.
2199  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 13, 2022, 05:34:44 PM
4-0 provisional score.
For Manchester United fans, don't panic. This is only Manchester United's second game in the Premier League, there are many more to come.
Continue to support your team even though defeat continues to befall. The sun and moon will shine in time.
 Wink

There is nothing that will shine for Manchester United today, Ronaldo to them is just an example that no one should go back to their ex, nothing is working if you ask me. The first goal was a mistake of Ronaldo, Maguire, as usual, gave the chance for the second goal and you still think they can still shine, maybe in the upcoming rounds but this one is a free win for Brentford already.
I can't even remember the last time I see Manchester united at the bottom of the table, seems like Arsenal has transferred their bad omen to them, they are really ready for the season.
2200  Economy / Economics / Re: Why aren't people utilising cryptocurrency payment methods? on: August 12, 2022, 06:25:23 PM
A lot of people would rather store their bitcoin as a means of investment than use it to pay for necessities, it is more of an asset used to protect value and hedge against inflation than merely a method of making payments, though that wasn't how it Satoshi described it on his whitepaper though the narative has changed.
Imagine the person who once used 10,000 BTC to purchase pizza, I don't know how that person could have felt now, but it is one of the worst things anybody would have ever done, that's a fortune that can sustain some people for years and decades. This is just why some people have refused to trade their cryptocurrency for basic needs.
