I like their "registered users" graph, an exact straight line, which says they have got ~1,200 more new users each day, every day, for the last month, for a total of 129,670 users since starting.  That's about 1 new user signing up every minute of every hour of every day of every week for 16 weeks. Do they realize how ridiculous that sounds? |

Expect the prices to increase more right after the halving. With that case I don't think cloud mining will be profitable anymore unless you have purchased power already before the price increases.
In an interesting turn of event, they have now slashed price... OP updated. I think, they had to. Because, with rising difficulty, mining was becoming unprofitable with previous rate for small buyers. Moreover, with rising bitcoin price, their support cost should have been lowered. Good move overall... That's complete nonsense, even worse it's complete nonsense based on the completely unproved premise that these people have ever mined one satoshi's worth of bitcoin. The only "difficulty" CMS encounter is finding mugs to give them money, that's why the lower 'price'. |

I prefer to exclude politics and society (& games and rounds) and keep counting the other boards including off-topic (i think it is already heavily monitored so it shouldn't be a problem comparing to the previous months.)

Why would we exclude Politics & society ? There's some interesting discussions that take place there. Most of them are well argumented and the posts there are qualitative. You have a very low bar set to qualify for "well argumented" sic. Politics and Society is a cesspool for serial POV pushers. Currently a "legendary" member, who I have never seen post anything remotely on the subject of Bitcoin, has eight dubiously sourced and spun POV threads on the first page, sixteen on the first two pages. Take a look thru the threads, the same names time and again pushing the same agendas. If Theymos is happy to have his forum used as a stage for this continual propaganda, that's up to him. If people want to talk round and round in ill informed circles on complex subjects they barely understand, that's fine too, but why should they collect activity rating for doing that on a Bitcoin forum when their activity has nothing to do with Bitcoin? The names given as activity increases, 'Senior' 'Hero' 'Legendary' imply some meritorous aspect to it. How is endlessly creating threads and posting in off core topic threads in any way meritorious? What is the point of any activity rating if it doesn't refer to the core reason for this forum, Bitcoin? |

This is already a harder proposal. I've seen and took part of some decent discussions there, albeit they are mostly polluted with people that have signatures and do not read any previous replies. Surely that's an excellent reason for including it then? If a genuine contributor wants to make a genuine Off Topic contribution, why would its not counting to activity make any difference? |

I know and have met with the people behind this project personally and they have lot of experience working with BitfFury hardware. I have strong reason to believe they will deliver what they promise.
Are they an official "partner" then, as mentioned on your website? It would be of great help if you released a list of partners to whom interested parties could go for authentic products available to smaller users. |

It depends on the motivation behind the thinking for excluding certain boards. This is a Bitcoin forum, advanced ranks based on activity should indicate that member's involvement in bitcoin. There are posters of hero and legendary rank whose posting history is almost entirely off topic. If activity was related to core coin subject input only i.e. excluding Off topic, Politics and Society and even Meta then any migration of spammers for sig or farming purposes to the "main reason for being here" boards could be dealt with as normal by the mods. Some thought could also be put into the proliferation of 'opinion' threads which repeat the same theme time and again, "Is cloudmining etc etc", "Is bitcoin going up?" which are spammers' heaven. That's if you accept that traffic falling is a price worth paying for credibility. |

I hope some thought is being given to the Search facility, 'smart' searching and so on. The facility to search a specific sub forum/topic/phrase with adjustable parameters for time, popularity and screening by member name and rank I would find useful.
Is there any way to get an insight into what's happening in this regard?

Shouldn't this thread be in "Altcoins"?  Can't tell if making a joke. Some make that argument, but Bitcoin Classic is not an altcoin. Classic Nodes still act exactly the same as Core nodes (or btcd nodes or any other bitcoin node) until 75% of the last 1000 blocks are mined by Classic nodes. At that point a 28 day timer starts. If that 75% level is maintained for that 28 days then on day 29 the Classic nodes can start processing, mining, and relaying blocks larger than 1 MB. It was a mild bit of mischief I admit Bitcoin Classic is not an altcoin Some people, not a million miles away from being the owner of this forum, may disagree. People in a signature campaign = spammer and scammer (by default)
People not in a signature campaign = trusted person (by default)
Answered right above by shorena: Signature or not the rules are the same, but if you have to judge the reason why someone does what they do its more likely that the reason will be "for sig payments" if they have a paid signature. IIRC doog (probably never had a paid sig) was warned not to post like this as well.
Responded to by shorena, but not necessarily answered. Dooglus does carry a promotional sig, the fact that it belongs to his business is irrelevant to this discussion. Multiple posting means multiple signature exposure. If a carrying/not carrying a promotional signature is not a factor, then how come Gleb gets away with chronic consecutive posting when he is in full flow? |
