2181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 202: Diaz vs McGregor 2 Info and Prediction Thread on: August 16, 2016, 01:53:20 PM
I think McGregor is obviously on steroids. The guy is looking really buff lately and at a low bodyfat. Im not sure if that is possible to achieve naturally. I guess 170 for 5'9'' is possible if you have good genetics, but then again who isn't in steroids nowadays? maybe Nate Diaz is one of the few natural guys or at least he looks like a natural.
2182  Economy / Speculation / Re: The price drop on: August 16, 2016, 01:09:42 PM
kwuduck is a troll and it has been statistically proven that he gets his predictions wrong most of the time, but when you are a FUDsters 24/7 you eventually get a downtrend good and then act as if you predicted something.
2183  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin down to $570 on: August 16, 2016, 01:03:00 PM
Smart pockets are going to ETC to benefit from the next insanely big Ethereum Classic pump since ETH is doomed as it will collapse as soon as it goes PoS. Millionaires will be made thanks to ETC. Once that is done, everyone will go back to BTC.
2184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is stealing Bitcoin illegal? on: August 16, 2016, 12:56:32 PM
Obviously its illegal and you can pressure it legally, but the protocol will stay immutable so you will use legal tools only, there will be no bailouts in BTC because this is not the mess called ETH. You can go there if you want refunds at the expense of hard forks.
2185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: August 16, 2016, 12:52:21 PM
Banks will have to either adapt or perish, there is no intermediate position in which they can find themselves safe. For now they are trying to delude themselves into thinking blockchain without bitcoin has any sort of relevance. Eventually Bitcoin will take over and they will need to get with the program.
2186  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your money aim? At which point you would go in "retire"? on: August 16, 2016, 12:49:39 PM
I would say that 1.5 million is enough to retire in a really cool and safe country, probably in Europe in some of the south european countries or eastern european ones. Poland has some really cool beach locations and with that kind of money you would never need to work ever again. Of course, if you are going there, the language barrier is very annoying since most people don't talk english.
2187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin has no competition on: August 16, 2016, 12:39:32 PM
All those FUDsters that where saying year ago how Bitcoin would fail because another currency would take over get proven wrong year after year. The more time Bticoin is alive, the stronger it gets and the bigger the network effect. Sorry but there will not be a Bitcoin 2.0. Bitcoin will go to 100k+ per coin in the next 5 to 10 years, it will absorb all the value researched in the field if not directly through protocol improvements then through sidechains.

Bitcoin will remain the only solid coin. The only coin that survived for the longest time (other coins can't claim this unless they invent a time machine).
There will be alts that pump really hard and make people millionaires, but no alt is going to surpass Bitcoin's strength and solidity. No coin will get a bigger marketcap. In the long term people holding 21+ BTC will be rewarded by history with rich-tier status for seeing the value in it before most people did. Do not let the FUDsters trick your mind or the trolls try to derrail the excellent job being done by Core devs.

Let's continue then our path towards inevitable triumph.
2188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 202: Diaz vs McGregor 2 Info and Prediction Thread on: August 15, 2016, 02:16:51 PM
It's going to be an even fight I think. We may not see a KO this time even tho McGregor will try again to go for the KO, but he will be too cautious and the outcome will be a fight that last for all of the rounds and gets decided on UD. That is my prediction.
2189  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Olympic Football Tournament Rio 2016 on: August 15, 2016, 02:14:21 PM
Those matches are rather low level. I can't believe Argentina lost so quick. It is a shame that Football in olympics is a very second-tier tournament compared to the proper football tournaments,  becuase most players are away when it happens since they had recent cups (like Euro cup and America cup)

I watched the first 2 brazil games and they were very boring.  It is a shame as the olympics should be the #1 thing to win then next up should be the world cup.  The only reason though is money has changed football so much.  I got to say i have had a better time watching olympic sports vs over paid football nancies.

Well in a way it's may even good, because if football was as big as it usually is in the Olympics too, then everyone would only talk about football again in the Olympics and not give enough time for the other sports. So in a way the Olympics gives an opportunity for less followed sports to shine.
2190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is funny. DDoSCoin :) on: August 15, 2016, 02:10:12 PM
I think I saw this concept already being proposed as a sidechain of sorts. In any case seems like a pretty trollish way to develop a currency. If used in good manner it would be cool but I expect a lot of trolling like people trying to DDos legit websites.
2191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time for Litecoin has come to an end; it will be number 7 soon, which means DEAD on: August 15, 2016, 02:06:51 PM
LTC is 5 right now and ETC is 6. But we are going to see ETC back to third position with the next pump which should start soon since everytime BTC starts sinking ETC has become the best way to capitalize on it. ETH is shit and should be way lower than second place.
2192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we properly decentralize exchanges? on: August 15, 2016, 02:01:30 PM
LocalBitcoins is one solution, another solution is to use forums like HackForums , Bitcointalk & Leakforums where there is a sub-section for "currency exchange" (Unlike Bitcointalk , getting scammed in the forums I mentioned happens often).

we NEED to have funds availible or you can miss good trades, there's no way around it

We don't need to have our funds for making good trades If you ask me, because if there was dedicated well-designed P2P Decentralized exchange where all people go , It would be just a matter of few minutes till users find buyers & sellers.

I personally prefer trading while the price is stable instead of while there is "pump & dump" going on even If it means that I will miss few good trades.

Those are not solutions. What OP is talking about is a proper broker type of exchanges. There's no way that a marketplace type of exchange can replace a proper exchange. Anyone that has traded in Forex and in crypto exchanges knows the difference. We need a decentralized solution for day traders.
2193  Other / Off-topic / Re: What will you do if you own 21 BTC? on: August 15, 2016, 01:56:20 PM
If I own or when I own 21 BTC in my wallet, I would get afraid to lose even a small percentage of it.
I won't spend it with gambling most importantly. I won't invest it to some popular investments you see in the internet, well, you can't know for sure if they can last long.
I think I would just save them and keep adding some to them while working.
Maybe until I get a family, they will find that useful.

21 btc is really big amount to hold, and if I will ever have that with me then it will make me really worried related to its security, as I will make all efforts that nobody hacks it from my wallet.

The best you can do once the 21 BTC dream is reached is to move it all into a paper wallet with BIP38 encryption for safety reasons. Wrap it in plastic so the paper does not deteriorate due humidity and other conditions. It's key that it is wrapped in plastic, ideally some sort of fire avoidance plastic.

You can also just copy your wallet.dat file in several usb pendrives and other offline storage devices.
2194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NEver keep all your coins on an exchange on: August 15, 2016, 01:52:43 PM
This is pretty obvious for anyone that has been using Bitcoin for a while in 2016, but the people that like to do trading are forced to leave some coins on the exchanges otherwise you miss opportunities.

2196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling made for kids???? on: August 13, 2016, 01:57:10 PM
Gambling in general should not be for kids, it teaches them an addictive behavior of no effort and fast reward that depends on luck. Working smart and not hard is a good approach but that is not gambling.
2197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETC now number one coin in Poloniex (surpasses ETH in volume) on: August 13, 2016, 01:52:45 PM
Although ETC has big volume but still there is not wallet ETC for android and it is make me doubt in ETC because there are not support or innovation for it.

Coins don't have to be functional in this space for people to invest. If it exist, people will speculate on it. The overwhelming majority of alts don't have dedicated mobile wallets, hell, most of them don't really survive that long.

Funny that you mention this. Right now Maidsafe is getting pumped the fuck out and it does not even have a proper wallet yet. Hell even the token (MAID) was supposed to be a temporal token until the Safecoin gets released. I think its an interesting project but im not sure if its viable.
2198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cyrpto vs Fiat on: August 13, 2016, 01:04:48 PM
The biggest win of crypto versus fiat is that crypto is global, fiat is local.
You have dollars, sterling, euro and MANY more fiats that you have in your country and it is really difficult to take it
outside of your country, has a lot of fees. With crypto you need not any forex exchange and you can carry it instantly around the world anywhere you want without any fee and you can send it to anyone around the world without any additional fee.
Indeed, anyone can now start trading without any permission needed. Trading and in general having a bank is a luxury that a smart % of population can afford. Bitcoin is a real gamechanger that can bank 4 billion people, and by then 1 coin will be worth millions of inflation-adjusted dollars.
2199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: *warning* Two current security issues with mobile devices on: August 13, 2016, 12:58:42 PM
Thanks for the warning. For me, I only keep a small amount of bitcoin in my mobile for just in case- I don't have a strong password for my phone but that's ok with me. I do keep some in Coinbase (desktop web based) and mostly in paper wallet.

I don't even bother with a strong password in my phone... just a 4 digit pass similar to how you have to put usually 4 digits to unblock your phone card. Since you should never carry anything valuable in a phone, it seems enough. You don't want to forget the password. Leave the long passwords for PC.
2200  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin and Porn on: August 13, 2016, 12:52:25 PM
Bitcoin and porn is a perfect match and eventually we will see the killer application that makes it shine in the industry. It will come naturally as we become more mainstream in the next 5 to 10 years.
