2181  Economy / Economics / Re: More bullish news: Paypal will alllow crypto checkout on: April 02, 2021, 04:20:18 PM
A lot of big news incoming from these big companies.
But it still scares me if they really have the numbers in Bitcoin.
Nevertheless, good news for those countries being restricted by an exchange. They now have the purchasing power that will scatter the Bitcoin around leaving the institutional investors to doubt about manipulating the Bitcoin market.

I would still recommend if you are the one keeping it instead of a third party.

I only take the top 10 in the ranking. Liking the Jazz and Nets as they stay consistent, whiel 76ers also have some great performance despite missing Embiid.
Yeah, I watched the 76ers a lot of times trying to analyze how they can still win the game without Embiid.
There is actually a simple answer. The floor had been spread more unlike last year.

With Danny Green and Seth Curry being a threat in the 3 point field, Harris and Simmons can move freely and attack the paint.
Howard stats is the best product at 18 points and 15 rebounds against the Cavs. This team is for sure a championship contender, better than how they are against the Raptors losing at the lucky shot of Kawhi.

Fxxxing Knicks screwed me over yet again losing by 1 vs absolute garbage and missing out to score on the last 3 possessions (and losing a 11 point lead in the 4th).

Get these trash teams out of that league.
They were outscored only in the fourth quarter.
Bad performance from the Knicks. All they need is to preserve the lead but they got careless at those last minutes of the game.

Another upset is the Raptors losing against the Thunders. Damn, I was rekt at that game. Aron Baynes with 0 points for 21 minutes.  Angry

2186  Economy / Speculation / Re: Damn, I should've bought bitcoin earlier! on: March 30, 2021, 03:53:24 AM
Doubts of buying never fade away up until now.
They have a lot of reasons for doing so. Before, "there is no future for Bitcoin". Now, "It's too expensive". For some, "It's too risky", "Volatility is a pain in the a*s".
It seems like they will never run out of reasons until regret sinks in.  Grin
My one and only tip for them, better late than never.
2187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 29, 2021, 02:36:12 AM
Any early picks? Where's Reid? I noticed you are not anymore sharing your pick here, are you taking a little break buddy?
Sorry, had been busy recently.
I already made my order and it's the usual.  Grin

Denver Nuggets -5.5
Over 219.5

Aaron Gordon's Nuggets debut is looking great. 13 points already at 3rd quarter.

LaMarcus Aldridge has decided to sign with the Brooklyn Nets!

They might be the most stacked team in history. If the Lakers don’t pick up Drummond I’m not sure any other team in the NBA has a chance. This Nets squad could probably take down the 2016 Warriors...

Edit: Damn, got beat posting the news by a few seconds!
I dont know where they get all of this money from out of nowhere. They are building a mostrum of a team. I havent seen anything like this.
Nets have always been one of the worst teams in the nba now out of nowhere the making the biggest team in history of basketball

Nets is -$53.2M upon acquiring Harden. Then they signed Griffin with a veteran minimum contract.
Now Aldridge. I don't see any record yet of how much was offered. But, it may just also be a minimum contract for they will be paying a lot of luxury tax if they go higher.
Nets management is doing everything to take the championship. That's a lot of money on the line, I hope they will fulfill their goal this year.
They can let some players go when KD is fully healed.

2191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What coin will be bought by new people? on: March 27, 2021, 12:01:00 PM
When I was a newbie it was Bitcoin that I was looking for.
But that was years ago. Altcoins are really not that popular at that time and I really have no idea about them.

This era is different. They could start from anywhere. It could be Ethereum or even BNB first since they need it to buy another coin they prefer.
It could also be one of the reasons why BNB is having success right now. They extended their way into marketing their coin instead of just the exchange itself.
2192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: March 27, 2021, 04:17:05 AM
Harrell was a terrible signing in my opinion. Howard manhandling him the other day proved it.

Drummond was in LA yesterday. They say he has meetings with the Clippers and Lakers while he’s there. They’re also saying he is no longer interested in signing with the Nets.
Yeah, right.
I'd rather pick Howard than Harrell.
It's just because of the 6th man award. If it's a big body and a high flyer needed below the rim, it's still Howard who dominates that field.
Obviously, he had changed his game and we witnessed that during the game against the Nuggets.
I am a Nuggets fan but damn, he did well at that time bullying Jokic and it worked.

Drummond is a free agent now. He can pick what team he wants to join but I think Lakers is not one of them anymore.
The Lebron injury could be the one reason.
2193  Economy / Economics / Re: Food Prices Are Soaring Faster Than Inflation and Incomes on: March 26, 2021, 02:33:55 PM
It is a very complete report, however it is a rather complicated scenario if the US were to run out of food supplies, in the case of South American countries inflation is exuberant, such is the case of Venezuela, it is not only difficult to get vegetables and fruits Since the prices are very high, there is a large amount of land where the peasants cultivate, also any item is very expensive, I honestly do not know how or how much is spent weekly in a market, but in Venezuela you spend $ 100 and you cannot cover the food basket.

The crisis has generated that people, instead of decoration plants in their homes, plant onions, coriander, among others to avoid making an expense in the near future, given that the US population is very large, it would need to import vegetables and fruits, I hope that this scenario does not arrive, but you have to take precautions.

Actually, that is one way to combat this problem. If you have a small garden or a small land, better tend it with vegetables or plants that will help you in surviving this crisis. Don't look far, evaluate your own situation, and see what you can with your own surroundings. Because waiting for the government subsidy and other help, is not an option right now. You need to act on your own to survive. Don't wait for others' help.  The situation is much better if you can help others.
Precisely.
When this pandemic started I already told my wife that we can save some money if we could plant vegetables in our little garden.
And we did.
Chilis, tomato, and other small plants that don't really need a huge land to bring fruits/vegetables.
We actually notice it right now. Months ago chilis had been like a rare item and its price went up. Damn expensive to afford and my neighbors are talking about how overpriced it was. Thankfully, our plants already had produced so we are saving a hell of money.

I have no idea how it can be connected to crypto but if there is a chance then why not.
2194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is now a GOOD or BAD time to invest? on: March 26, 2021, 01:47:09 PM
I learned a lot on this forum and the most precious knowledge was there is no good time or bad time investing in Bitcoin.
Someone said that to me when Bitcoin was still at $900 and many investors are already doubting its capability.
Look how fast it grew for just years, not even a decade yet.

IMO, no one sees the future but Bitcoin will be the future.
Don't fret, just buy.
2195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: March 26, 2021, 08:53:03 AM
LaMarcus Aldridge - Bought out by Spurs - Free Agent

Kyle Lowry - remained a Raptor. (Summer free agent)

James Johnson and Wesley Iwundu (Mavs) traded for JJ Redick and Nicolo Mell (Pelicans). Now Mavs has a veteran and also a sharpshooter.

Norman Powell (Raptors) traded for Gary Trent Jr. and Rodney Hood (Trail Blazers)

3 team deal:
76ers acquired George Hill and Iggy Brazdeikis
Thunders acquired Austin Rivers and Tony Bradley
Knicks acquired Terrance Ferguson, Emir Preldzic, and Vincent Poirier

Bulls acquired Vucevic and Aminu in exchange for Otto Porter, Wendell Carter, and 2 first-round picks.
Celtics also acquired Fournier from Magic in exchange for a couple of 2nd round picks.

Magic is rebuilding trading both their offensive players.
2196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC to XRP on: March 25, 2021, 02:41:56 PM
The name had been stained badly because of the lawsuit.
I'd prefer the other way around.
Sell your XRP for BTC while it's cheaper right now. You can get more Bitcoin in that process.
It's your choice though if you want to stay but once something was all over the news for a bad reputation it's difficult to come back from it.
Investors will have doubts about buying back, so it would all be a series of dumps in the upcoming days, weeks, or months.
2197  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Trading on exchanges. What’s behind it? on: March 25, 2021, 12:51:11 PM
I think this was already discussed when people have found out about PayPal's new news about their adoption and addition for buying crypto into their platform.
I get your thought about exchanges having off chain transactions and that's fine that they do it to save fees and there's no problem if you're looking at it. It saves you and them fees. And as for the supply limit of crypto, yes, that matters. And it all relies to the law of supply and demand how to determine the value of a crypto.
Yes, that's correct.
Because they are also questioned before if they really have Bitcoin in their stash or it will just simply imply a number in your account.
I don't really know how they do that or how they continue doing it.
Is there even someone checking the legitimacy of holding Bitcoin by these accounts?

But comparing to the stock market or even the fiat, some of them are also illusions supplied by banks.
You have millions in your account but yet they won't let you have it all in one swoop.
I bet exchanges took that idea from them.  Grin

Merry Christmas!  Grin
Indeed it will be a good choice to buy now.
If that tweet scatters all over the whales then I am sure the price will keep on going up giving us lesser profit in the long run.
I have gathered some before this news so I am really excited about the results this will bring.

Nice find, thanks.  Wink

Harden gives them a pain in the ass, while in the other side, Lilard are being guarded it shows how ready the Nets for him.
Not just normal guarded, heavily guarded. CJ was still cold that night. He may need to heat up first upon coming back from an injury.

Reports: Sixers, Heat in pursuit of Raptors' Kyle Lowry
https://www.nba.com/news/reports-sixers-heat-pursuing-kyle-lowry
Sixers? I doubt that because of bad history. Embiid might get furious if ever they will sign him up.
A higher chance he will drop to the Heat but why aim for a guard? Why not a backup center for Adebayo to let him rest more.

Found out about this in the news days ago. Sorry, I forgot the name of the program.
The fun part is the anchors having no idea how the hell that happened.
They even said, "How could that be an art?"  Grin
Also trying to understand what NFT's are from a crypto enthusiast explaining everything. But they still can't figure out anything.

That just explains there are still a lot of people out there who have heard about cryptocurrencies but never tried to understand it.
