21821  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: January 26, 2016, 07:07:18 AM
For Bitcoin to even be able to compete in this race, more people need to use Bitcoin.

More people need to use bitcoin transactions at the same time bank will function on its base. No matter what they do still they interfere in the bitcoin functionalities. Even  banks grow as source generator from small scale and now it has grown high, So its sure bitcoins can't make banks disappear
Its not possible that banks will disappear because of Bitcoins market. Banks has grown up all over the world and there is a system to get the money , receive money. so bank is helping bitcoins to accept and supporting in transactions of money.

i agree. bitcoin can grow big and get popular but no matter how huge it gets it can not replace banking system. because banks have been part and parcel of society for so long. bitcoin can be as big though.
besides banking system can evolve and change its ways to match the new age to compete with bitcoin and not be replaced.

@mrflibblehat
this campaign has been active and paying for two years (since Jan 2014), and have been paying its users automatically and on time.
21823  Other / Archival / Re: should i save btc for future? on: January 25, 2016, 12:25:49 PM
i am personally going to keep my bitcoins, or at least hold a part of my stash for the long time. but i will definitely use them if i find a good usage for them or i will sell them if the price is really high.

Use the bitcoin whenever/wherever possible. The circulation of bitcoin gives its value as a currency. The more usage, the higher the price.

i agree with this but there is not enough places to use bitcoin. i either have to go through a third party to use bitcoin (which i will never do) or the places that i want to spend money don't accept bitcoin.
besides the price change of bitcoin makes it a tough decision to keep holding or spending them.
21824  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we going to stay at $400 for a long time? on: January 25, 2016, 12:21:32 PM
Are we going stay at $400 for a long time?

not for long, but i guess it is going to last for while (maybe a couple of weeks) but the closer we get to halving the higher the chance that everything is going to change and the price start to go up again.
21825  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Sport To Gamble on: January 25, 2016, 12:08:47 PM
I think Tennis and Soccer are the two best sports to gamble.. I have made considerable profits with this.. What do you guys think ?

i have to agree with you on these, although i think there is not best sport when it comes to sports betting but i like betting on soccer more than any other sports. just choose your favorite team and have fun watching their game and see how your luck turns out to be.
21826  Economy / Gambling / Re: Invest in my gambling addiction and profit. on: January 25, 2016, 12:01:01 PM
so you are technically asking others to trust you (an unknown person with brand new account) to gamble with their money!
we are more than capable of doing it ourselves and if and when we lose we have only our own luck to blame and not somebody ripping us off.
21827  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: All the ways to get BTC on: January 25, 2016, 11:56:31 AM
thanks for the list, it contains all the stuff everybody needs to know, i'll bookmark it for later.

one suggestion:
add a table and give each method attributes like risk and earning potential with estimate numbers and sort them maybe.
21828  Other / Off-topic / Re: If You Won A Million Dollars.. How Much Bitcoin Would You Buy? on: January 25, 2016, 11:48:33 AM
dang that is tough cause I would want to invest in many things
but think I would just about 20k in bitcoin then put things in other
areas and diversify to be safe

Buy btc with the 100k and another 50k on some altcoins like ETH. 300k for the house then invest the others in realty, franchising, etc. We all need to diversify our investments. Some of my earnings will be pledged to support a charity Smiley

looks like i am not alone, and most people will buy a house first like me Smiley
a million dollar is a dream and it is going to fix a lot of problems and debts. but after that i will put a huge portion of the remainder in bitcoin.
21829  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it a waste of time mentioning Bitcoin to friends and family? on: January 25, 2016, 11:45:31 AM
you should always try and spread the word about bitcoin, this is what i always try and do.
try using your own experience and introduce them to bitcoin with setting up a wallet for them and giving them a small amount to hook them up.
21830  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: some faucet website are racist on: January 25, 2016, 11:43:06 AM
you should have learned by now that faucets are not worth your time, it doesn't matter where in the world you live. 100-1000 satoshi per visit and filling captcha is not worth your precious time. there is always a lot of other stuff you can do and earn more money that way.
21831  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you buying bitcoins? Why? on: January 24, 2016, 08:17:50 AM
When bitcoin was at the price of $445, lately 2015, I sold lots of some of my bitcoins and made a good profit. Now is a good time to buy it back. I will buy more bitcoins than my last holding, just for these kind of passive trading I keep on buying and making profits with bitcoins.

this is a good plan. i usually try to take advantages of these kind of price drops.
it is risky thing to do but it has good potential for profiting. only thing to do is to act quick on selling and then buy back in again as soon as price stopped going down.
21832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: January 24, 2016, 07:26:30 AM
I am also jealous of people that won hundreds of BTC on gambling sites.. so I always try to bet and see if I get lucky enough.. never happened.

you should not trouble yourself with these sorts of statistics. these are just numbers, they can be faked too.

but in case they are real, you should check their profit and not total wagered. these reports are always the total wager and not the winnings, which can be negative.
21833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling problem on: January 24, 2016, 07:16:16 AM
I see there is so many people trying hard to stop gambling their money because they've losing so much
If you not ready to lose your money, then don't even try to gamble!

gambling on its own is not a problem. but "addiction" to gambling is a huge problem and it is a very common one.

i think you should have discipline when it comes to gambling your money. which means setting aside a fixed amount and play around with that much. and that amount doesn't need to be huge either. it can be as small as you are comfortable with taking a  risk on.
21834  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your plan to get rich with Bitcoin? on: January 24, 2016, 07:04:52 AM
I will wait end of mining when price go to moon!
Who knows how high can go,,

The mining will never end. It is used to protect the network. The block reward will end in 120 years.
Better to buy bitcoin from now on, and wait till July that there is block halving. You dont need to until bitcoin mining ends.

this is the best plan in buying and holding strategies so far. i think it is best to buy as much as you can risk and wait until the block halving and a while after to see what your investment turns out to be like.
21835  Economy / Services / Re: I am looking to earn some cash on: January 24, 2016, 06:51:56 AM
you can also make an official post on this section (services) and list your abilities -like translation- and name your price for your work. if somebody is interested they can find you that way.
also you can check reddit for subs that offer jobs for bitcoin i think it was /r/doitforthecoin  and/or   /r/jobsforbitcoin

remember to use escrow.
21836  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1 million [BTC] moved in one block on: January 23, 2016, 07:24:38 AM
Wow the transaction fee of this behemoth is just shy of 1 btc. Was it confirmed instantly on the Blockchain?

i think you have mistaken "bock" with "transaction"
~0.93BTC fee is the sum of 3085 transaction fees in this particular block which is not that out of ordinary.
21837  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1 million [BTC] moved in one block on: January 23, 2016, 07:09:55 AM
does anybody know how to find the rest of the blocks that contain the rest of 10 million (19 JAN) and 11 million bitcoin (23 JAN)

all the block explorers (table info off all not one by one) only have the size-time-... information of the blocks not the amount/total output per block unless you check it one by one
21838  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with 1,5 BTC? on: January 23, 2016, 07:00:55 AM
i will always suggest on holding your bitcoin if you have no idea or experience on what to do with them. it is much safer that way and you can profit from the future price increases.
but if you really want to invest, i suggest trading. i trade altcoins myself that is why i prefer it.
21839  Economy / Gambling / Re: You ask how to win - did you know how to push your luck ? on: January 23, 2016, 06:36:34 AM
So far I was not really lucky some found tactics did not help me so far. Could be bad luck or terrible tactics.

In gambling mostly all those tactics will now work for long time but we need some luck to win money in gambling. It is not you have terrible tactics so just play for fun and some time if your lucky you may win some big money. You can try sports betting there game is not fully depends on luck but still need some luck to win the bet.

i agree. all these methods are just helping you with a route that you can stick with and separate yourself from emotional betting, other than that there is no method that can guarantee the win unless it is exploiting a bug.
this is one of the reasons why i prefer to gamble on sports that i can somehow predict the outcome of the match.
21840  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Looking for proper site to buy and then store bitcoin on: January 23, 2016, 06:14:46 AM
keep in mind that paper wallet is only safe if it is created in the correct way.

two important factors to pay attention to:
1) using safe code/app: it means downloading the code/app from its legit place not some random place on the internet and checking if it was downloaded correctly (like MD5 signature)
2) creating the paper wallet in safe environment: on an offline computer which is "clean"
