ЦБ Венгрии предупредил о рисках, связанных с биткойнами

Quote

Grin

Such a big forum but there are no clear rules on the forum thats a shame.

This is obviously a lawless and primarily self-moderated forum, and this is likely one of the reasons why it has grown that big...

Is that a shame really?

It might well happen that we could wait longer than expected (read forever)... For every "smart" bot being killed there are two even smarter ones being forged...

I realize that so I am thinking of modifying the service to make it un-viable for bots. One idea that I have been thinking about is letting users play the free roll only once a day and increasing all rewards by 5x because on average an active user plays the free roll 5 times a day.

Why not use some "clever" captcha which would be impossible to pass through by bots (e.g. to answer some question)? Also, playing once a day doesn't change anything with multiple accounts using proxies. In fact, it would even be more tempting to use them on such terms...

The captcha isn't the issue, there are some bots using services like deathbycaptcha.com to solve captchas ie. automatically creating accounts and then relaying the captcha to such services to get them solved and then passing the answer back. This way they can play a large number of free plays from hundreds of accounts without any limitations. These services charge $1.39 per 1,000 captchas solved so they are generating quite a bit of profit from this.

So it is actually the captcha that is an issue here. Then again, why not use bulletproof "captchas" which require understanding, not just reading and recognition?
21986  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: February 20, 2014, 01:57:20 PM
Also, there are quite a few "smart" bots still abusing the service so until I can manage to remove those, I will have to delay the bonus program because otherwise it will benefit the bots a lot more than humans.

How are they actually "smart"? Do they solve captchas or what? The captchas on your site are often already beyond human comprehension (know nothing about bots, lol)...

Grin
21989  Economy / Gambling / Re: Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: February 20, 2014, 11:59:11 AM
Now, the client seed for each roll is generated in the users browser using javascript and you can change it if you want to by clicking on the link that says PROVABLY FAIR at the top. This makes each roll well and truly provably fair. I didn't have much time to test this, so if you notice any bugs, please let me know.

Also, there are quite a few "smart" bots still abusing the service so until I can manage to remove those, I will have to delay the bonus program because otherwise it will benefit the bots a lot more than humans.
late is better then benefiting bots we can wait for this good luck for you hard work

From your posts I got the idea that fractional reserve banking (full reserve banking being an ideal) would somehow prevent bank runs. Do you confirm that?

Absolutely not.

it would make them more expensive to point it would be unprofitable to "run" them any more

Even with full reserve banking on, banks are not guaranteed from problems that could provoke bank runs. Financial panic doesn't discriminate between good and bad banks...

For 2.4 BTC, one can live a decent life in any Southeast Asia country except Singapore.

So just go for it!

I wouldn't call it a life though (Thailand or elsewhere nearby), having to spend all of your time writing posts here. Unless you are in for something else indeed...
No offense to anyone but if you are smart you can do it easily!
In a day there are 1440 minutes and you need 266 posts witch results in a post every 5 minutes ... during that 5 minutes you can research a little over the internet and make a constructive one!

Not the smart factor kicks in! If you know a lot about all the things in the world researching time is not needed anymore so you can type your answer in a matter of seconds but we will keep it to 1 minute
imagine that you can make about 70% of the posts in under a minute and on the rest you send on average 5-7 minutes to make a decent answer
you will be near 7h/day to make your posts!

Of course if you want a Sunday off you will have to make a little more during the week

and for the super smart ones this is like a part time job because 266 posts with a speed of 1 post per minute is like 4h and 30 minutes

P.S. It took ma around 5-7 minutes to write all this because I have to spell check but with time my English will become better and better and the time for a post will be reduced!

Everything is possible! Just don't stop believing!

This is nothing but pure speculation, lol. Once I tried to submit 1200 posts (then the upper limit). Yes, I pulled it off (even with a slight margin), but near the end that had become a nightmare really (and I had been writing in two languages at that). Other guys here will confirm my words...

It is not a matter of just a number of posts and how fast you can type

For 2.4 BTC a month, anyone can live a decent life in Thailand.

Thanks for Bitcoin, people can live on posting!

I just wanted to sai that BTC is banned in Thailand
but then i saw this http://www.bangkokpost.com/business/marketing/395952/bitcoins-back-in-the-thai-marketplace
It seems they opened an exchange there

But some say it's not allowed! Strange situation they got there!

Re: [PrimeDice] [HIGHEST PAYING SIG ADVERTISING] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting

Loved to see the changed but 2.4 BTC how?
As maximum 4000 limit is there then it will be only 1.2 BTC,
Stunna something is unclear here,
Thanks for the payment and i am already in again for this month.

He's changed it to max 8000 posts now.

8000 posts in a month would definitely deserve a ban, IMO

Just curious about the all time high here on the forum, anyone know? Who is that wonder-worker?

Payment received, thank you, Stunna!

21996  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin is ultimately doomed to fail (not today or tomorrow) on: February 19, 2014, 09:40:38 AM
Noone thinks that bitcoin will fail.
The only ones that do so is those that are thinking bitcoins as something that opposes the dollar and that's wrong anyway.

Why is it wrong to think that bitcoins oppose dollars? Can you substantiate your claim besides just saying so?

Grin
