Thank God I went Nvidia, fully justified. Nvidia always comes out on top one way or the other.
As soon as RX cards go the 7950/7970 way (13 mhs or lower) you'll see all Nvidia stock dry up for 1050ti, 1060 and 1070.

Cheapest i see for 1060 is over 200 You need to pick up one second hand on eBay most likely. You'd also have to troll until ones listed an buy immediately as at $150 a 1060 will instantly sell. Got a 970 for $135 after 10% eBay bucks which isnt bad, OP should look for deals like that.

RX 560, you MAY get very lucky on eBay looking at newly listed graphics cards and get a 3GB 1060 for ~$150.

You know you can get an idea from the wiki on radeon cards right?
Pretty much the exact same thing as an RX560 so.... pretty horrible value, unless you got one for $100. But these are $250 minimum. With 4GB RX 560 being $120-125 it makes no sense.
I did get a WX 5100 for $250, not a great deal but it should ROI in 2-3 months. Regardless I could resell it for more no matter what happens as its a workstation card that goes for $350-400.
Normally I would not have bought it but at $250 I figured id mine for as long as possible with it and then sell for a profit. I offered the same on a second one the seller had, I think he caught on, he sold that one for $350.

Not looking good profit wise over the next 6 months if you were to get in now. Ether needs to go up with the rising difficulty, as it has been.
Its still profitable to mine just not nearly as lucrative as it once was, Invest $1300 into a 5 x 1060 rig and youll see ROI right around 3 months, the next 3 after that only net you an additional $700. That is if prices remained around $370 and the difficulty increasing at current rate. According to the dynamic calculator above.
Now you would obviously dual mine SIA for an additional $70 per month and that helps but unless Eth doubles in price I dont see how this can hardly be lucrative now.
Either people majorly jump ship or the price of eth must double in the coming months, otherwise getting into mining now doesnt make sense unless you want free hardware after 3-6 months. when you hit ROI.
Im just one guy and ive got over 500 mh/s running in my spare bedroom in the last month, I can only imagine the thousands more that did the same or much more.

Yes, thats correct, if all you can get is the 1060 gaming ITX then its OK just know that the heatsinks are super low end/garbage. Youll need fans/A/C, I run mine at 100% fan speed and temp wise they are OK but kinda loud.

Just set up a rig with 5 EVGA 3GB 1060's. Exact model here: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487263May be some of the cheapest 1060's currently BUT they do have SAMSUNG memory! I had them at +1000 mhz in afterburner but had some weird stuff going on, backed it off to 800 Mhz so I could call it a night. Running about 22.5-23 Mhs with 800 mhz memory OC. Not bad at all for the cheapest cards around. Only issue is the heatsink is SHIT, the SC (superclocked) edition of this card has a much denser heat sink and as a result doesn't get nearly as hot. I said 89C on one card at one point so I cranked the fans to 100% and put the A/C down to 65 while blasting the cards with vortex fans. Down to 80C max, avg 72c between all cards. Feel bad for those that got cards with shit VRAM, 18-19 is not good for these cards so do your research before you buy! My Corsair RMi 1000 is reporting avg 660 watt draw from the wall when the cards are under full load. Not bad for 112.5 mhs. I read everywhere that the SC version is the same with just different factory clock settings Chip wise, yes but physically NO. https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/515rh0/psa_dont_buy_the_single_fan_evga_gtx_1060_gaming/The main thing here is they have samsung memory, which is almost needed for the 3GB cards.

My options, according to the money I have and the performance of some models that I have analyzed, are as follows: 1x GTX970 $475 => 22,21 mh/s(DaggerHashimoto) | 291,61 sol/s(Equihash) 1x GTX1060 6GB $394(1 fan)/$429(2 fans) => 20,13 mh/s(DaggerHashimoto) | 281,69 sol/s(Equihash) 2x RX460 4GB $184 => 10,65 mh/s(DaggerHashimoto) | 110,00 sol/s(Equihash) x2 == 21,3 mh/s(DaggerHashimoto) | 220,00 sol/s(Equihash) What do you think is best? Obs.: Calculator on NiceHash( https://www.nicehash.com/?p=calc) I think your prices are horribly off. Welcome to Brazil, kkkkk If those prices are truly in USD then there is NO WAY you are going to make a profit. I just picked up a GTX 970 for $135....

Hello guys.
I want to start mining, but I'm having a hard time finding good AMD boards for this task(good part without stock or with very high prices). Do you have any recommendations for AMD or NVIDIA cards equivalent to at least an RX480 8GB (~ 26mh / s)?
Hug to everyone
Good luck trying to get a return on whatever you buy, at this point id buy cheap 1060's. 1070's are $400 and will take far longer to see ROI and with the difficulty skyrocketing I would be worried about the 1070's getting paid off.

You guys must of never sold anything on eBay before.
The Paypal protection only covers the buyer. Someone can buy a GPU today, mine with it for 180 days and then file a dispute saying "Its broken".
Paypal always sides with the buyer. It doesn't matter if you got a 10 year old account with great feedback.
Search this forum for horror stories if you don't believe me.
Stop talking, ive been selling since 2007 and I have NEVER lost a case EVER. I have an eBay store and common sense..... You must have never sold anything.... PayPal SELLER PROTECTION does exist and WILL protect you in the case of a chargeback. Ive had people open paypal cases months after the fact (saying ebay wouldn't let me so im doing it through paypal) and they promptly lose the case because there is NO warranty. They then chargeback and usually win that (according to their "non biased" CC issuer) but paypal seller protection has always covered me. Nothing wrong with selling cards for a profit, stop being an alarmist. IF one has common sense and can get ahold of an American PayPal rep (call in ASAP soon as a case is filed against you) youll always win. The only thing to actually avoid selling is iPhones, they are the number one scammed item. Even so, you'll be fine in that case as well provided you follow all PayPal seller protection guidelines ( ive had hacked accounts buy phones from me and paypal seller protection covered me).

Guys,
since it's ABSOLUTELY impossible to find any 570/580 at a decent price right now (i.e. less than 300USD), does it make sense to go for the following setup
3*RX560 for $144 which are available RIGHT NOW and 3*RX570 for $235 which MAY be available early July.
I just can't wait forever until the 570s are available, I'm just wondering if those 15 or 30 days of mining with the 560s will make up for their price which is slightly higher than what it should be (it should be half the price of the 570, i.e. around $120).
Also, is there a model which has been proven more efficient than another one ? I can chose between a powercolor 4GB or a Gigabyte Gaming 4GB
4GB 560's can be had for $120-125 recently on Newegg, I would wait and see if they come back as they were in stock for a solid day. You might even find them on ebay, with 10% ebay bucks a $120-125 560 4GB would be a great deal. Paying almost $150 for 12-13 mh/s doesn't seem all that great and is along the same vein as paying $300 for a 570.

No kidding, I actually had some RX 580's laying in a mining rig just mining ethereum... and I originallly got them for about $229 each. I just sold them on ebay because of the high demand and got $385 for them each. (I'll be buying more once the price goes down.) Just mining with different gpu's now. Don't sell GPUs on eBay for such a high markup. The market can turn and the buyer will just send those GPUs back to you claiming they were broken due to Paypal protection policies. Please shut the hell up, as a seasoned eBay seller with a large volume store you know absolutely nothing. Ive had this happen to me ONCE (out of hundreds of GPU sales) and I easily won the case. There is NO implied warranty when selling a card on eBay unless you take it upon yourself to offer one. Sold a guy a FirePro card, he claimed it broke 3 months later, filed a case through PayPal directly, I called up PayPal and they agreed that he was out of line. If you buy a used car from a dealer and the transmission blows 3 months later the dealer is not responsible, same thing here... Buyers then usually do a chargeback through CC but paypal seller protection kicks in and you are covered.

No.
You try and sell on eBay and you might get a chargeback due to Paypal protection.
You try and sell it locally like that and who knows... might get robbed or might get into some low-balling people who just waste your time...
No idea why you would even sell at a time like this since by selling you would lose more money than selling it at a huge markup right now.
Paypal seller protection specifically protects you in the case of a chargeback.... ive had it happen a few times to me and PayPal has always covered me. Now, selling locally is just stupid, you have a far, far bigger potential market online. Besides some of us live in the middle of nowhere so online/eBay is all we can do anyway. If you have RX cards to sell then now IS the time. Not often at all that a GPU is worth substantially more than you paid for it...

garbage, youd be MUCH better served with a $100 4GB RX 560 (1024 shaders).
these are 512 shader cards (2100, 3100) and as such essentially just updated 7750's.....

Forget servers, buy a used laptop instead. That way you have a built in UPS in the form of the battery for uninterrupted staking. For staking HDD is fine, but with a bunch of wallets you might want an SSD. Just a qucik example: Refurbished HP Laptop EliteBook 2560P Intel Core i7 2nd Gen 2620M (2.70 GHz) 16 GB Memory 256 GB SSD Intel HD Graphics 3000 12.5" Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit - $381 on newegg ( link). At least this is what I would do if I didn't have a UPS already. Who would buy that trash? Walmarts got Skylake i5 (8gb) and i7 (12gb) laptops on clearance for $200-300. Even lower end ones for $79.

As i know, you wouldn't be able to overclock them, but they still could be used in mining, they just gonna be slower. (don't know how much slower, i use 1060 6gb with samsung memory)
Totally wrong, false info.... of course you can overclock the memory on non samsung cards... maybe not the same extent but you certainly CAN overclock them...
