221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LushCoin White Paper - AI and Blockchain Redefining Money on: April 06, 2017, 02:07:39 PM
but how to distribute the token?

Aside from the generation of coins, everything remains basically the same as bitcoin.

For coins you own, these can be distributed pretty much as you choose, just as with bitcoin.

With communities (which can be, a town, village, country, the world etc) it is slightly more complicated. Here's a two part summary:

1. POW is replaced. Instead money is generated in a race by miners to evaluate the impact a business based on an innovation will have on a community. The evaluation is done by AI, then opened up for public scrutiny.
The money generated by LushCoin, it will go to a multisig address from which an incubator can draw monies to actualise the innovation, if and only if it has the agreement of the host community and the innovator.
2.  The colored coins used by the system will be produced by dedicated forms which will produce machine readable versions of the parts that get stored on bittorent. Acknowledgements of system transaction get sent to those concerned as colored coins.

Thats pretty much a summary of coin minting/distribution in LushCoin.

Great invention / innovation = great reward
Trash idea = trashcan

If a community cannot innovate, it will go out of business. With each innovation they host, community will then enjoy the jobs created, development; enhanced skills base and economy viability.

If you can create and use an AI that is fair in its evaluation and can evaluate all kinds of events fairly, you would not be posting here. The impact a business idea or proposal has is based on too many inputs, the same inputs can have different weights to different humans for examples too different VCs, how do you ensure fairness and correctness unless you know the future? Eventually every single outcome would depend on public scrutiny rather than AI, and with that the person who controls the crowd gets to have his or her proposal approved.
222  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: HELP my Wallet wont Synchronizing with Electrum 2.8.2 on: April 06, 2017, 01:55:03 PM
Electrum only takes at most minutes to synchronise.

Chances are your firewall is blocking outbound traffic/access.

Are you using a home network or some other host or are you in a corporate network.

If you are that worried about your existing bitcoins, if you used a seed to create said wallet, it is easy to retrieve back your coins with the seed on another computer running electrum.

If you imported private keys, simply export the private key into another wallet like bitcoin core if you can get it running, or to another computer with working wallet software.

You can also try going to your Electrum Data Directory (whichever you set to, or default %appdata%/electrum ) , copy the whole folder elsewhere and try running electrum clean or standalone.
223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Storj (SJCK) vs. Siacoin (SC) - Discussion on: April 06, 2017, 01:46:34 PM
These two projects, how about adding a third one, that Dotcom followup of megaupload. They mentioned Storj as a component once on their roadmap but the current state of development lags behing everything.
The buzz is back on BTCs to fuel it. That would degrade both beeing second class only.

They are now using some bitcache thingy which is either a fork or a totally useless mechanism. I do not trust someone who does not even know how to use screen recording software for examples lol.

On the main topic, maidsafecoin is fake in my opinion, claiming to be in progress and in beta for years already? No news other than news from bagholders about "Remember maidsafecoin coming out soon, buy your coins! " LOL

On storj, it is much more expensive than siacoin, also less noob friendly.

Sia isnt exactly noob friendly but it is so much easier. And there are inbuilt mechanisms by sia to make prices more or less the same cheap prices even in the long run, with hosts that burn coins actually getting more credibility.
224  Bitcoin / Press / [2017-04-06] Electronics Retailer Bic Camera Begins Accepting Bitcoin on: April 06, 2017, 01:03:53 PM
Bitcoin payment processor bitFlyer is partnering with a Japanese electronics retailer to test a new point-of-sale system (POS) that will allow customers to purchase goods with bitcoin.

The company, Bic Camera, sells consumer electronics such as cameras, computers and dishwashers at more than 40 stores domestically. As a result of the integration, customers can now choose to pay with bitcoin for purchases up to a limit of ¥100,000 (around $900).

As with other bitcoin payment processors, the POS system developed by bitFlyer will allow the store to accept the digital currency and will immediately convert funds to yen. The stores are then charged a 1% service fee on transactions.

BitFlyer claims stores will receive their fiat funds the next day, which it contends is beneficial to smaller stores that need daily cash liquidity to finance operations.

The announcement comes during a period of heavy activity for Japan's bitcoin market, which recently saw the recognition of bitcoin as a legal means of payment by the government.

Fellow Japanese payment processor and exchange Coincheck also announced a deal yesterday that will put its bitcoin accepting point-of-sale system in up to 260,000 brick and mortar businesses nationwide, an announcement that showcases the new momentum for the local industry.

This looks to be great news after the news of Japan treating bitcoin as a legal currency. This might get big, depending on how well other companies follow suit

227  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Class action lawsuit for Poloniex on: April 05, 2017, 09:41:57 AM
You just reminded me, I need to file a class action lawsuit against life for making retards exists in this world. I have to absorb the brain drain every single time nonsensical threads like this get started on bitcointalk.

Just because the server lags badly during massive pumps and dumps and you fail to join in to make profits does not make a valid reason to file a class action. Then again, if you are from certain countries, I am not amused at all, you guys file nonsense lawsuits like no one cares.
228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Max. Fee value on: April 05, 2017, 07:53:59 AM
Sites such as https://bitcoinfees.21.co/ calculate the average fee value required for approval of transactions.

The higher the Fee value, the sooner we are approved. Does this have a certain limit? If the value of the Fee is too high, is it possible to be approved in less than 10 minutes?

There is no hard limit, you can send a 0.01 BTC transaction and pay 30000BTC in fees if you want to and have the balance for it.

If the value is too high, confirmation should take as fast as the next block or current blocked being mined takes to be mined.
229  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM][Unresolved] BetOpen.co stole 5.97 BTC because of 'fraudulent' activities on: April 05, 2017, 07:07:36 AM
Well, if a site has an exploited vulnerability and claim to fix it without telling the exact details of said "vulnerability", I call bullshit on said site.
Any vulnerability you found can be released even if you need to sensor server or service details. Unless said vulnerability was created by bad programmers on your payrole, that is your fault.

So betopen is claiming that they only found the vulnerability after stealing said amounts?

I bet they are going to follow this up with " We are sorry but his account has been totally closed and removed from our databases so we cannot show you his bets list ", telltale signs of typical bullshit. It is standard industry practice to "hibernate" accounts instead of simply removing data from database.

I wonder if said company even knows how probability and odds work, any generated odds are only true in an absolutely perfect universe.

@chevas I think it is pretty clear that betopen will not provide any proof at all, they use the pretext of "security" to protect their supposed wrongdoings.
230  Economy / Services / Re: EZ Tips WAY OF EARNING MONEY AND BITCOINS! WhiteHat Method! on: April 05, 2017, 06:14:31 AM
Well i received the vouch copy and here comes your honest review. The method is just collecting a deposit bonus from a sportsbook. Nothing special here. Could it work? Yes it could work but you have to complete a rollover and not lose a bet in the process.

My honest opinion is pass on this deal. Your money is at risk and there are no guarantees in sportsbetting

**EDIT**

This method could work but you will have a little money at risk. Up to 1100$ in play if you wish to complete this quickly. I cant say much without disclosing the method.

I had only read the top portion of the document he sent. This would work as long as you made the correct bets as he states.

Thanks for your review. As far as I am concerned, if every bet he states is correct and you complete the rollever and lose no bets in the process, he must have either a hand in rigging said matches or there is an exploit in the sportsbooking site to enable such streaks, which in turn would mean it isnt exactly a whitehat method, what are your thoughts on this.
231  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN][TEZ] TEZOS | Adaptable | Self-amending | Eliminate Hardfork Design 🚀 on: April 05, 2017, 05:03:09 AM
what do you think the type of government they want in Mars?

What do you think of ease of communications on any potential mars colony, the risks of comms disruption interrupting the p2p connection of said blockchain?

Picture a already set up mega colony with only a single link to another just started colony just like our undersea cables now (picture just one single connection). Sever that one link and you pretty much get an instant fork? Which means two goverments?

If you have a system whereby more tokens = more votes, you have the problem of a dictatorship, you everyone has the same voting power aka same tokens, what are the point of said tokens
232  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN][TEZ] TEZOS | Adaptable | Self-amending | Eliminate Hardfork Design 🚀 on: April 05, 2017, 04:32:36 AM
Will be watching this for now.

You kinda lost me at mars governance and weather prediction.
233  Economy / Services / Re: EZ Tips WAY OF EARNING MONEY AND BITCOINS! WhiteHat Method! on: April 05, 2017, 04:29:05 AM
The method he is talking about is simply to repeat literally what he does here

Resell his methods here or using newbie accounts basically.

Just like pyramid schemes or multi level marketing.

234  Bitcoin / Press / [2017-04-05] Blockchain Startup Wyre Acquires Remitsy for China Market Push on: April 05, 2017, 04:24:07 AM
Blockchain payments startup Wyre has acquired industry startup Remitsy in a cash and equity deal of an undisclosed amount.

With the news, the San Francisco-based startup gains more than 600 customer accounts and the services of co-founders Neil Woodfine and Richard Bensberg, who will join the Wyre team as part of the deal.

Further, Wyre now plans to hire five new employees in a new Beijing headquarters, while its engineering team will remain in San Francisco.

According to CEO Michael Dunworth, it was Remitsy's close proximity to China's market that was the chief factor prompting the move. (Remitsy uses a combination of blockchain technology and banking relationships to convert user currencies for China-based users).

Dunworth told CoinDesk:

"Remitsy brings the expertise of industry veterans, who have built and scaled a beautiful product with a very impressive customer base."

Wyre uses bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin and other digital currencies to settle transactions between parties in different countries, serving both money service businesses and small enterprises.

The startup officially rebranded in December 2016 following a $5.8m Series A funding round.

235  Bitcoin / Press / [2017-04-05] Polish Ministry Backs Blockchain Best Practices Proposal on: April 05, 2017, 04:22:32 AM
The Polish Ministry of Digital Affairs has adopted a new proposal designed to allow the local blockchain industry to self-regulate.

Adopted on 29th March, the best practices cover areas related to the activities of cryptocurrency companies including their recommended legal form, transparency, legality of operations, relations with public authorities, customer relations, technology and security, as well as their stance toward customers and business partners.

The adoption further follows their preparation earlier this year by industry representatives including professor Krzysztof Piech, a faculty member at Warsaw's Lazarski University; Konrad Zacharzewski, PhD, a lecturer at Nicolaus Copernicus University; and Lech Wilczynski, the CEO of bitcoin payments platform InPay.

Additional contributors to the document include representatives from Bitstar.pl, dLK Korus Okoń, Bitelon, Fintech Poland and BitMarket. Public institutions that were represented at the 29th March meeting included the Financial Supervision Authority, the Ministry of Finance and the country's competition watchdog UOKiK.

The document was drafted as part of the ongoing government program that seeks to digitize more government operations.

Exchange shadow

Industry representatives say they hope that the best practices will also increase risk awareness in the Polish cryptocurrency market following the news local law enforcement are investigating the shutdown of local exchange Bitcurex.

Overall, the document also proposes a number of trust-building solutions, calling on industry players to inform the agency about "planned interruptions" and recommending that maintenance extend for no more than 48 hours.

Further, all such interruptions are to be communicated to customers and business partners by e-mail and on company websites, according to the document.

"The idea behind the code is to try to reduce the risk of such a collapse by identifying the best practices for the existing, and, above all, new exchanges that might not be aware of certain risks,” Wilczynski told CoinDesk.

He added that the proposal provides additional information for how customers should be able to evaluate a given platform regarding its level of financial and technical security.

Firstly , stop posting each of your sentences in a new post, it wont bump up your rank here, ranks are not correlated to spamming new posts in Bitcointalk. You can always edit your original post to add content instead of a new sentence for every line.

Who is their?

hw does one get it off hold

Who is their once again? I can't help you if you keep saying their without telling me the exact wallet/exchange you are talking about

this wallet has done it everytime
Which wallet once again? Your electrum wallet? Or you mean the deposit address on the exchange?

If it is indeed Virwox, you posted in the wrong section as your sent tx has already been mined into a block, electrum is not the problem.

If it is indeed Virwox, contact virwox support , not us.

If any other exchanges, you should still contact the respective support , still not here

it says on hold for high risk apparently

Wait ... Are you sure you are using Electrum wallet? The only places where I have seen "on hold for high risk" is deposits into exchanges like virwox

We could help you better if you tell us the following details

1. Wallet addresses for sending and receiving
2. Or simply your transaction id
