221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin betting on the 2020 US Presidential Election | Trump vs Biden on: November 28, 2020, 07:41:32 AM
Pretty funny that bookies think it's more likely that Kamala Harris wins the 2024 election than Joe Biden winning a second term. Just goes to show the kind of expectation people have for his term!  Grin

I would have thought there'd be interest in bets for Mike Pence, but no one seemed willing to take the plunge on that one.

At near 78, Joe Biden is the oldest first term President ever elected, so it's no surprise that people are imagining he will either serve one term, or not see out the term for various reasons thus elevating Kamala Harris to the top job.

Take note the bets are for "elected" the next president, not assume office.  Mike Pence could assume office for a few weeks if Trump walks out once the Electoral College votes are officially counted in a couple of weeks time.

It's a bit early to predict the future but if Bidens presidency brings positive results, he's most likely to be renominated by the democratic party and win while if it ends badly, Republicans are going to win the presidency, so there's almost  no likely situation for Kamala winning.
222  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: November 28, 2020, 12:48:51 AM
I feel like tomorrow opening game will not be that easy as the odds for the game suggest this could be a walk in the park for Liverpool true that the hosts are struggling at home but their rank and points do not reflect their performance and .I do feel that Klopp men will come away with the win but Brighton will not be giving it easy  make for them snd they will need to work for it. Liverpool are looking for a reaction after their loss to Atalanta in CL. I wouldn't be surprised if they manage to keep a clean sheet if Henderson is back with the team he trained with them last training session so he will be a good addition but I don't think he will stop the hosts from scoring so I expect both teams to score and liverpool winning this game.

It shouldn't be difficult for Liverpool to play Brighton, but the Premier League always brings surprises. Not a few weak teams managed
to beat strong teams, therefore full concentration is needed for all Liverpool players. In order not to be caught off guard when dealing
with Brighton, especially the counter-attack from Brighton is very fast and dangerous. Klopp must use his best line-up to face Brighton,
especially when Liverpool have just defeated by Atalanta, This should encourage all Liverpool players to give their best against Brighton,
so as not to experience defeat again.

The initial results were a bit unexpected but every team has now set with their players and strategies and the teams expected to win the league are coming for the top spots.
It should be an easy win for Liverpool while the game between Man City would likely come victorious against Burnley and Everton and leeds though both had an impressive start, Everton has a more balanced team and they should win this.

I've used bitcoin the most for shopping online so it's my favorite shopping cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is accepted by most of the merchants and I have in past, topped my phone up using bitcoin, bought domain and hosting on black friday sale with bitcoin and even booked a flight ticket with bitcoin. And with the introduction of intermediary services, bitcoin use case are unlimited.
224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: November 27, 2020, 04:46:50 PM
What a start by Australia. I won't be surprised if they decimate India in this ODI series through a 3-0 win. The Indian fielding was pretty bad through and through.

As expected, Bumrah has retained his form in the T-20 format, but not the ODI and test formats. On the other hand, Shami was brilliant. The Indian team's new jersey doesn't look great which is why I hope they revert to the old one soon.

With Kohli out of the picture soon, can India really prevail against a monstrous Australian side? Very difficult scenario in my opinion.

Personally, dint like the tshirt much as its very dark. Also, this is similar resemblance of India wearing in 1992 world cup as well. Talking about match, India played after 8 months of International match and that too in OZ which is never easy for India winning the match out there. OZ won this game easily in end, but can expect some better performance and close matches in the remaining games.

Yeah. It's a large gap between team India playing an ODI match and the players may need some time to adjust with the team and the opponent. The game was not entirely one sided and as they get along, I expect closer competition in the coming matches. For limited over games, it would be much more unpredictable as all players would be on similar grounds as all of them are playing some sort of T20 games recently.
225  Other / Off-topic / Re: Zlatan Ibrahimovic sueing EA due to using image in FIFA21 on: November 26, 2020, 05:08:24 PM
While using the name and photo of a celebrity to sell a product, they should ask for the permission of those celebrity first. One of the reason why many newer games uses the Name with miss-spelling and a cartoon face is to avoid the royalty. But if EA is using the real name and picture, they should provide a royalty to the players. Considering the practices of EA, they could have made players sign their term without them knowing.
226  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Climbs Above $19,000 – Heading to New All-Time High? on: November 25, 2020, 05:20:55 PM
A new all time high is sure. The market is still bullish and people are still buying like crazy. There are so much btc accumulated that it seems the whales are planning for a flash high that may go upto 30K before crashing it. So, it would be wise to plan accordingly and if you are not sure about how to survive in such market, take profit and stay away.
227  Other / Off-topic / Re: RIP Diego Maradonna on: November 25, 2020, 05:04:52 PM
RIP! Sad to see a legend die in an early age. Though I never got to watch Maradonna play for live, his legacy is well defined by his documented games. He had some controversial times during and after is playing career but he was an unarguably the best player of his time.
228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: November 25, 2020, 04:26:55 PM
Barcelona is going to come back to the La Liga stronger after the recent game in the Champions League against Dinamo Kiev.
They will get a huge morale boosting from this win against the Ukrainians and there is still time to challenge the La Liga title. Atletico is the favorite right now but we should not neglect Barca as Messi is still very dangerous and he is a part of Barca's attacking part which is on fire right now.

Yes, it's a bit early to call for the winner of the league. As the league of EPL is sorting out, I believe, the top teams would again come to the top in La Liga. I think that it would be either Real or Atletico that would be crowned the champions. Though Barcelona too would gain much position but the trouble in Barcelona is not going to end soon and would probably remain for years to come.

230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: November 23, 2020, 11:49:23 AM
important week for Champions League, and we can see one giant out this week, Inter and Real are playing, but at the same time M'Gladbach is playing home with Shakhtar and if they win, they will probably be the one to pass-through from the group, so Inter or Real will have to see Europa league, or even fourth place in the group
things are getting interesting there

Inter Milan may have better confidence to face Madrid, even though they are still at the bottom of the table. The 4-2 victory against Torino can bring that confidence. Indeed, the quality between Madrid and Torino is much different, however, Winning vs Madrid will keep their hope at least going to UEL. minimum additional 6 points is a must for them, if they are failed to get it, maybe we can say good bye for them from UCL, if failed but get 4 points, they will join to AC Milan in UEL. 3 points till end, they are maybe not join in any UEFA competition anymore for this season.

This would be a tough call. Real Madrid are just one goal ahead from their home game and both of these team are performing bad in their last games. Though Real had a good win against it's arch rival Barcelona a two weeks ago, it also faced a humiliating defeat from Valencia in the league. Inter even don't have a good record on serie A. And to everyone's amazement these two team may fail to qualify from their group.
231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: November 23, 2020, 11:19:24 AM
I doubt if this team will challenge for EPL title this season with their inconsistent and lacklustre performances yesterday Brendan Rodgers has a lot of work to do on his team to up their game.

I don't think Leicester can able to fight for the title in this season. They are not winning against big teams. Although they have won by a huge margin against Man City. But they lost against Liverpool and Man United. They need a stronger team to fight for the title. They need some world class striker. Their team is good enough. But I don't think it's the right team to win the title.

I do think the same. Leicester had only won against weak teams. Though there are a lot of matches to play, the table has started to form a pattern. It's not going to be a good year for Arsenal, Man City and ManU and the league would be competitive between Liverpool, spurs, Chelsea and Southampton.
232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US Presidential Election 2020 and its impact on gambling on: November 23, 2020, 02:02:25 AM
The funny thing is, they applied for a recount in Georgia and lost that too, and they applied to courts again and they lost that too Cheesy. It is obvious that the "aim" of Trump team is not to actually try to win, they know they lost, there is no logical and sensible lawyer in the entire world to take this case and try to win it, they know they will not win at all.

What they however trying to do is obvious, they are going to try to do this as long as they can, put the doubt seed in everyone's mind, and when they eventually leave office they are going to act like victims to win back in 2024. There is a huge chance Trump becomes a candidate in 2024 once again and I feel like republican party could potentially nominate him again so this will be base of his operations and he will call out foul play on his 2024 campaign.
It is possible but I do not think the attempt will be successful in my opinion, because most Presidents that tried to do a re-election campaign is successful as far as I know, except for Trump. Maybe it will be effective but four years is a very long time for the people to wait for him and vote again, along the way, there might be a more influential one that can will takeover the spotlight that Trump has been trying to create for himself in the next four years. I have heard rumors back then of election bets but this is the first time that I have heard of it as I find it taboo to put gambling and politics together, we all know that it leaves a sour taste in our mouths, but hey, money is money.

If they create enough doubt about the results (or if there's enough doubt about the result) and than the senate could call it an undecided election and go for a contingent election deciding the POTUS through a vote in the house. I don't know if it's a real thing or just a rumor but even the republicans who had initially called Biden a winner have now back from their words and claiming Trump the winner. Whatever the result be, instability in US would have some effect on economy and crypto.
233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Player protection - stop loss limit on: November 22, 2020, 04:48:21 PM
I don't see any online gambling sites who offer that because In my thinking they don't care how much the player they lost as long they earning money.
Because they don't know us personally, as long as you can bet, you are very much welcome, and they would hope that you'll lose as that is their mission, to make their business profitable and as much as possible maximize the profit.

Their profit depends on the volume and not in the number of users. So they'd rather have high betters than a large number of satisfied ones. But crypto gambling has became so competitive that we may see such options in order to bring users to the sites. As small profit is better than none. Most of the gamblers are more concerned about the experience rather than the house edge.
234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ripple a better fit for payment solutions? on: November 21, 2020, 04:38:37 PM
Ripple has always aimed at being the currency transfer and payment coin taking on swift for international transfers. They haven't actually decreased the swift transfer for all these years but they are a good tool for swing traders to earn money trading Ripple. The current price rise is along with the general bullish run is catalyzed by the prospects of airdropping of a coin to Ripple holders.
235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost more in the process to recover ? on: November 21, 2020, 02:59:59 PM
This emotion is what makes a gambler chronic and destroys his/her life. There are many mistakes we have done in the past and if we keep on accumulating them, and trying to rectify all of it, we would never move forward and keep increasing our pot of grief.
Every new day is a new life and every new bet is a different one. Don't measure the loss you had in past days and take profit when you have one. 1 BTC 5 years ago is not the same as 1 BTC now.
236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Polkadot can take place of Ethereum? on: November 21, 2020, 12:31:37 PM
What we have realized in the last decade is mere technological advancement doesn't make the coin superior. If we were to compare, bitcoin is one of the most dumb coin on the list and people may argue that it doesn't deserve to be so popular citing it's inefficient blockchain and how much energy it waste. But there are much more thing to consider and one of the largest one is trust and security. Which are a result of decentralization and community based development.
237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Life, gambling and trials. on: November 21, 2020, 11:32:16 AM
I have had a similar experience. It all started with fun and one unfortunate day, i kept on losing, I got so frustrated that I took on every balance on any account I had and kept on gambling recklessly. I was hoping to get back what I lost but I ended up losing 4K USD worth of coins that day. It was a couple of years ago and at that moment the sum was huge for me. I cried for days. Unable to believe what I've done, I went to anxiety, it destroyed my sleeping cycle and started having nightmares.
After I got together spending several days with my friends and family, I decided to never gamble again. But that promise was soon broken but I have strictly followed a budget and site based gambling habit which I've successfully followed till date. Sometimes there were urges to broke my limit. But at those time I remember those dark times and control myself. It was a lesson to my face.
238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Player protection - stop loss limit on: November 20, 2020, 05:08:38 PM
Hi guys, as you know some casino/bookmakers offer "player protection" giving ability to set up a stop loss limits.
What happens if a player lose more of this limit and continue to gamble despite any "protection"?

I already encountered some Gambling Websites that lets you actually set up the limit in which you will stop auto-betting but never yet encountered a system in which you will be stopped when you are losing to much money. That would be a helpful system and might decrease to the loss of users which is normally not a problem of the gambling website.
I don't think there will ever be a gambling place that provides that facility because the purpose of this gambling place is to try to make the players spend a very large amount of money and the gambling place can make a lot of profit, because if there was such an asset protection system there would be no the story of losing all its assets at gambling.
Casinos are already a competitive business and they would not be wanting to restrict on their profit. After all the overall profit they make is the (amount gambled x house edge). If every users started restricting their total gambling volume, they would be working to make their profit decrease. I don't mean to say it's a bad thing. But for it to be implemented, it should be enforced by the individual government for it's people.
239  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is moving sideways for day, Where to from here? on: November 20, 2020, 04:20:22 PM
Bitcoin now is over 18.8K. A new high for last couple of years. The price is volatile and it's getting tense as investors and holders are in dilemma whether to buy or sell. The price fluctuations could be good for day traders. Most of the people that bought before and after the last hike are now in profit. It would be wiser to take some profit and keep a small amount to watch how market progress.
240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🎄 Top Christmas Casino Bonuses You Don’t Want to Miss Out On 🎄 on: November 20, 2020, 03:37:03 AM
The blog needs regular updating as the real Christmas and Christmas offers approaches. Many of the gambling sites do have good Christmas bonuses. And they are mostly much more attractive than any other time of year. November and December are the best months to try or buy something. I'm really excited about the black friday too where we'd have great deals from all around.
Specially on buying domains and hostings as well as games.
