To mitigate risk it helps to choose ICO that have a real product or close to releasing the product. If they have something you can test and ones you can see video of other people using that helps considerably. There are so many ICO that are in the planning and development phase that people invest in which have lots of risk. What if their main developer leaves? What if they take it easy after getting money from the ICO? What if another company starts later but still beats them to the market? You never know, protect yourself and pick ones that have real products finished around the ICO.

Today is the first I've heard of Centra. Will we have to give them our personal details to get the card? Such as telephone number, Social Security.
It's really what I want to know about this.

5 ETH contributed towards the ICO will get you a Centra card this year in Oct. The public won't be able to get Centra cards until sometime in 2018. |

Do yourself a favor and don't join any pump & dump groups. You will end up loosing money.
The organizers of those pump groups buy in earlier with their friends and then tell their group to buy that coin to pump it, and the organizers sell when everyone is buying always making money. In the long run you end up loosing. You can tell people end up loosing cause the pump and dump groups keep disappearing and new ones appearing. If everyone was profiting, the groups would never go away.

What are you saying? 200 Centra for 1 ETH? I think the initial ICO price was set at 400 per ETH wasn't it? Can anyone from the Centra team confirm the ICO price?
400 ETH was their preico price. They did not announce a ICO price until today on their slack. Their webpage is being updated. |

Try joining the slack channel, Sam and others who work for centra are on there daily. He is traveling a lot making partnerships and advertising so sometimes hes hard to get ahold of but usually many of the general community will be able to help out too. |

We call them WHALES. They are dumping, pumping prices. Usually they are from China. They are early investors of BTC and they are trying legalize their earnings because of goverment rules. They are buying all the tokens in ICO pre-sale with low price. When the exchange adds new coin they are selling. This is generally how ICO works and nobody says this in public. How can anybody imagine all ICO pre-sales reaches the demand they are asking? 50.000 ETH for example completes in few hours It is not possible withoute whales.
Definitely some handle ICO better than others. Like Enigma is using a whitelist and everyone on the whitelist for ICO can contribute a max of $10K USD which will help with pump and dumps a little. ppl can look for these. While many other ICO is just free for all. |
