221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you using Bitcoin Cash? on: November 16, 2017, 03:03:22 PM
I hadn't kept my BCH, I sold it during the first initial pump. I do still trade it and buy it though - I do think it will sustain its value over the course of time since there is obviously a large backing of miners on it. It's a bit manipulative though if you ask me for BCH miners to completely drop BTC and mine BCH entirely. None the less It's a good investment.
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Genesis Vision, the hidden gem? on: November 16, 2017, 02:59:17 PM
This is a nice find, I'm surprised that the ICO ended only with 2m and has already exceeded its ICO value. Not many ICOs can do that knowing that the amount of ICOs coming out now. I'll keep an eye on it.
223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All coins are now dying, what do you think? on: November 16, 2017, 02:56:22 PM
Nothing is dying. Like everyone is saying this is a common occurrence. As long as you know what you have invested in there is nothing to really be worried about - markets will continue to fluctuate regardless of the circumstances.
224  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I'm new here, give me some tips! on: November 10, 2017, 02:51:08 PM
Welcome, Plenty of ways you can earn bitcoin but most of them will take time. Posting here is a start, once you get to JR. Member status you can start joining bounty campaigns for good ICOs and hopefully if you pick the right ones you can sell them in an exchange for profit. There are also plenty of faucets around that you can use (but they are no where near profitable for the long term).

You are honestly better off investing a bit of fiat in BTC and maybe trading to get a taste of crypto. Take your time and honestly the best place for this kind of advice is already posted wayyy up in earlier threads - Google search will be your best friend. Good luck.
225  Other / Politics & Society / Re: God on: November 10, 2017, 02:37:38 PM
I have an unorthodox view of god. As I see it god does exist, not as some personified deity that we can relate to as humans but instead the complete opposite - the un-personified mind of just... being. There is obviously an intelligent design in nature, everything naturally wants to co-exist in synergy and balance. Plants emit Oxygen - humans CO2, Water collects in lakes to evaporate and pour onto plants, the list of coincidental phenomena relating to one another can go on forever from microcosm to macrocosm. God is the force which keeps electrons buoyant from protons. That 99.9% free space isn't just "space" - It's dense and full of things we just can't see. - This is relating to the double slot experiment.

If an electron will perform differently according to our perception of it - our minds obviously must play a role.

As I always like to say -
A fact can't become a fact without a man's opinion.

What I mean by this is that there is always a fulcrum between any sort of polarity- in this case, it's consciousness.

God is in everything, everywhere. It is the primordial ether, or the function of life itself.

Call me a hippy.
226  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Colonising Planets on: November 10, 2017, 02:23:20 PM
Do you think humanity will ever create colonies on the other planets (not just couple of trained astronauts but a civilian population in a city or something similar) and depending on your opinion why not / where and when do you think they're likely to be created first?... also will the frontier of colonising be in our own solar system on Mars for example or on some exoplanet

Yes, Most definitely. And seeing the rate at which technology is advancing I think it may be even possible within the next century. There will be massive obstacles to hurdle through but it is possible. It's startling even looking at the intelligence curve of current AI systems.
227  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Would you eat a human? on: November 10, 2017, 02:18:45 PM
No... Have you heard of Kuru? "Kuru is a very rare, incurable neurodegenerative disorder that was formerly common among the Fore people of Papua New Guinea. Kuru is caused by the transmission of abnormally folded prion proteins, which leads to symptoms such as tremors, loss of coordination, and neurodegeneration." - Wiki.

It literally give you psychosis, you will become insane. It's interesting seeing how nature combats immoral and unethical behavior, if that isn't a good enough sign not to, I dont know what is.
228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: everything red again. on: November 10, 2017, 02:10:07 PM
My thoughts? A correction has happened and its time for buy more altscoins for discount price Smiley

Amen, what this guy said. Sure you may have lost some money during the run but no worries since it will recover eventually. Patience is key, I'm sure all those that bummed out of ANS early stage regret it after seeing NEO pump.
229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Dogecoin? on: November 10, 2017, 02:08:07 PM
Truth is Dogecoin is just fun. It will always be considered as a gag coin. I consider it to be the king of meme coins because it honestly was one of the first of the very few and ended up being successful. I wouldn't see it fit to invest in it seriously - if anything I would consider putting play money into it just for the hell of it. BTC has always trumped every other coin in the game. That's why every other coin is called an alternative coin.
230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WTF is going on with BitcoinGold??? on: November 10, 2017, 01:56:07 PM
I bought it foolishly without doing further research. Later I found this post on twitter from a developer:

This means there was a premine.

On the official site, the lead developer has his username as his alias with no picture.

No explorer on CMC.

Too fishy for me, I sold it immediately afterwards for very mild gains.

My only advice is to use discretion and tread lightly.

Not to mention that in the WP one of the lead developers claims they were avid ASIC miners in China,
Now all of a sudden he wants to create a coin that can be easily mined after selling all of his mining gear?
TOO FISHY.

Edit: The image didn't go through so here's the link to the tweet

231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any advice for a newbie? on: November 10, 2017, 01:49:33 PM
I see you are far ahead seeing that you already have alt coins, and a nano ledger. A lot of people ask questions on even how to purchase altcoins and how to trade it. If you are just starting I think you are taking a nice route with alt coins as well those are solid coins with a decent fluctuation. Just don't be too greedy when you make gains if you are going for the short term, set your goals (which are hopefully realistic) with your sell orders and leave it be. If you are going for long term, as long as you did your THOROUGH research, just be patient!

Welcome to the club.  Wink
232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long is the Bitcoin's life for you? on: November 07, 2017, 11:18:28 PM
Bitcoin was built to be the predecessor, it was open source and Satoshi knew that there were functionalities that were flawed in the long run (transaction fees, transaction times, mining difficulties, etc.). I think that BTC will always remain as the head figure of crypto but the possibility will always remain.
233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitconnect on: November 07, 2017, 11:12:47 PM
You didnt search then.

Bitconnect is a well known ponzi scheme in the crypto community. Its trading of its coin is kept to as few exchanges as possible to manipulate and control its stats and its a joke that will crumble when they cant pay out eventually.

If it wasnt a ponzi everyone in their mother would talk about it, because look at its growth rate. But when you realize what it is, you wont touch it with a 10 ft pole, because it could collapse into nothing at any given moment. Like 10 days ago they just dropped their marketcap by like 500million out of fucking nowhere with some lame excuse. Go check the marketcap chart to see it.

Ridiculous. Stay away.

It's a ponzi scheme for sure, but we can't understand how its price was pumped this much. From the january 2017, until now, there is sharp value inflation in its price and this is very interesting for such ponzi scheme. That's the point.

One of the big reasons the price went up was because a TON of greedy crypto-youtubers were spreading the word like wildfire because of referral bonuses. They offer a lucrative bonus for inviting new people in the system by giving you like 10% profits from your guests profits. It's incredibly sketchy, when I first heard of it I knew very well this was nothing but bad news. The people who invest in this downright confirm it's legitimacy without a shadow of a doubt, but the truth is poignant with BCC. It looks like a ponzi and it feels like a ponzi, so most likely.... it 's a ponzi.
234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN ICO+Bounty] [REA] REALISTO - Real Estate Investing For Everyone, Everywhere on: November 06, 2017, 11:09:56 AM

235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] eBTC | The New (ERC20) Bitcoin on: November 05, 2017, 02:42:18 PM
this team need more than that. the team in github not skills at all. the developer didnt have capability to handle it. they just use BTC name to get marketing

eBTC dev working very Fast they work more efficient than some ICO dev. lol... Wink

Was thinking the same thing, disregarding the threats of "law action" - the dude's right. This is the same creator of eBTC, we all know that the dev manipulated the coin and followed it with a massive dump. The unprofessional instantaneous swap with barely any notification is enough of a red flag for me not to touch this with a 10 foot pole. This coin had it's moon, a 2.0 wont fix anything for those who are smart enough to make analytical decisions with their money (whales).

smart contract shows a total supply of "1000000000000 ", Am I missing something here?...

....I thought It was supposed to be one coin.
237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is etherum's price dropping? on: November 02, 2017, 02:27:06 PM
Yep, Like everyone is practically saying. It's due to weak hands. Everytime BTC reaches a new ATH we can always expect altcoins to dump. It's good that ETH dropped in price though - We all know how resilient ETH is to dumps, so if it drops in price it's a great time to buy.
238  Other / Politics & Society / Re: LSD psychedelic is Good or Not? on: November 02, 2017, 12:01:50 AM
I've known people that took it in small micro amounts or in average dosages very infrequently and they turned out just fine. I also have a friend who took 4 dosages at once who tripped for over 4 days and now he is schizophrenic. LSD is something you should tread lightly with, it seriously plays with your head, sometimes in good ways sometimes bad.
239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Did Satoshi see the coming of Altcoin? on: November 01, 2017, 11:52:22 PM
Probably yes, he invented this whole community and copies has always existed, this is not a new thing that is just an innovation, copies have been existing for more than thousands of years.
And it is not bad, there are some altcoins that changed the whole market, like ethereum, monero, and litecoin, because they improved the technology a lot.
but there are some that have just been created only to raise money, and this is why all the altcoins that are newbies ones are a waste of time.

I agree with him, and I guess he did foresee the coming of altcoins. Technology is always advancing and new innovators pick up where their predecessors left up. Since the copies has always existed, its just exciting to imagine that Satoshi left the copies for others to discover and explore and advance further.

Agreed, BTC still faces a large issue with scalability. I'm sure Satoshi knew that mass transaction for global use was something that needed to be refined, you can even see early discussions that satoshi had with the community regarding this issue. Having BTC open source leaves BTC as a great idea to be shared and refinedd.
240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you support direct payment in ETH for bounty? (POLL) on: November 01, 2017, 11:48:26 PM
The decision should be taken from the users themselves. There should be 3 options form the user could select any one option. Getting the payment in only ETH, only tokens and both 50 - 50. This could benefit the users and the ICOs in a positive way since the flexibility in payments would drive many users to be a part of it and the managers could be then more selective towards the participation of users. If I were to organize a campaign then I would definitely implement this option. The campaign I work for has a similar option to buy back the tokens distributed. LiveTree managed by Sylon has the option where users could sell 50% of their earnings in exchange for ETH. Definitely a great idea.

That's a great route to entice more people to participate in bounties. I think this would be extremely viable for ICOs to do. Awesome post, I hope some devs can see this.
