Create a strong password backup your key file on a USB and put it in a safe place. Don't safe any password locally on your computer in case you ever get hacked. Create multiple wallets to spread your risk.

I do plenty of research and am extremely cautious with investing. But obviously there's math guiding the basic principles + some risk
So if I had to turn $100 to $200 in 10 days - what would you recommend as a strategy?
Get 10 coins with incremental gains of 20% each (like $5-10 gain each day?) or invest in something else?
And which coins?

There is no way to turn your amount to doubled just in short time, The chart will be not good for you to take a speculation like that. As you can see if you are seeing there is no a lot of movement in the market and that can be a signal for you that will be difficult to do that just in teen days. It's good that celebrities are promoting crypto. The more it becomes mainstream the more people will invest in crypto. I don't think celebrities will endorse a fraud scheme as their name will be taken down with it.

That sounds extremely ambitious and if you can crack the code everyone will do it. However crypto fluctuate so hard that a 100% gain in 10 days will be hard but not impossible. Bet on low capped altcoin with news comming within 10 days. |

That's the difference between a regulated market and an unregulated market like crypto. Because we are free to invest in what we want news will manipulate the market whether it's true or not. Everyone here says: buy the dips. But this actually only truly works with Bitcoin. It also works to a lesser degree with ETH, LTC and XMR. To me all of these seem to ping and pong together with BTC. So far, I have bought in at the dip to 4100... and again at the dip to 3,400. So I am more or less okay. Slightly still in loss but if it goes back to 4,100 I will be in green.
I thought so too, but when bitcoin dips the FIATvalue of an altcoin drops too and the bitcoinvalue can still be the same. However buying the dips with altcoins means buying when the bitcoinvalue of a coin drops. When the value of bitcoin will increase you'll have double gains |

Well let the whales be whales, you shouldn't care much about them. Just do your own resarch and invest in promising projects
a whale goes for 10-20% gain in a couple of minutes. Do that a couple of times and they have their retirement fund. We the normal people just HODL for them long term 1000% gains and convert into a whale and make our own retirement fund. It's the circle of life |

I think ICO should be invested by experts only. Don't agreed on it. The good thing about cryptocurrencies is that everyone can invest and profit from the gains or lose from the dumps. The advantage in comparison with stocks is that you can gain a reasonable profit faster with less money than in stocks. |

Im a N00b. I noticed that most of the top altcoins price went down when btc price went down. I bought some bitcoins so i can buy some NEM. I was wondering if I should wait a little while for the price of btc to go back up or would that mean that NEM prices would most likely go up too?
All this altcoins are depending in the Bitcoin's price generally. Bitcoin is the first and the most used , and the most valuable crypto currency ever, so it is normal that all the other crypto currencies values get affected by the bitcoin's price chart, either going up or down. Doesn't it depend on the paired currency of an altcoin. So xx/BTC depends on BTC value, xx/ETH depends on ETH value and so forth |
