You could do that but it would not be helpful to the network since only one of them will be able to allow incoming connections.
That's not entirely correct. You can give one of them a different port number and open that port on the router, so your two nodes share one external IP address but have different port numbers. Don't know how well other nodes get along with that, though. short answer: don't
Maybe that's still the right answer here - your home network connection probably does not have enough uploading bandwidth to support two full nodes, so they will throttle incoming connections anyway. Just staying with one node might indeed be better. Onkel Paul

Selling accounts s illegal. ILLEGAL.
Actually, the legality of something depends on the jurisdiction under which it happens. Claiming that something is illegal without referring to a jurisdiction does not work on the internet. Selling and buying forum accounts isn't explicitly regulated in any jurisdiction I know of (which aren't that many, I have to admit) so it's probably not illegal in most places where users of this forum reside. Within this forum, trading accounts is allowed because basically even if you forbid it, you can't effectively prevent it, so why bother? By doing this you might enable scammers to gain more credibility and scam other people. Is this really worth fcking $10.
But of course you're right that selling accounts may enable folks to scam others. However, there are so many ways to scam, so any attempts at fixing this loophole won't really help much. Instead people should learn to check others' credibility while being aware that accounts can be bought. To me, bitcoin and this forum are a very interesting experiment not just in economics but also in human behaviour under the preceived protection of anonymity. Onkel Paul

Found a interesting post right here:https://m.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2yyb3u/how_to_run_a_full_bitcoin_node_on_a_raspberry_pi_2/. Do note that SD cards does not have great lifespan under heavy load. Your best bet would be to get a old hard disk and run it there. If you want, you can also purchase a new SSD/HDD and they can still be repurposed to be used as computer hard disk if you want in the near future. Statistics has shown that typical lifespan of HDD would be more than 4 years.
Regarding SD cards, the same can be said for USB devices. They are not meant to be sued full throttle around the clock. What does "sued" mean? I know su as in super-user, but why would the device care what user is using it? There's something I don't understand here for sure. Let me know. "To sue" means to drag someone or something to a court. Presumably suing an SD card or USB drive hasn't been tried before, but depending on your jurisdiction you might be successful. Note however that SD cards typically don't have enough money, so you will likely pay for the litigation even if you win the case. Suing an USD device might be more profitable. I only need 10$. How much does it take to earn than with a i7 2.2 ghz system?
Forever. Just forget it. Mining bitcoin without specialized mining hardware is not going to work anymore (hint: by the time you or your children eventually reach 10$, you've spent a fortune on energy and computer replacements to keep your "miner" running). To calculate approximate mining results: - look up your CPU here: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Non-specialized_hardware_comparison#Intel- take the ghash/s value and enter it at the mining calculator https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/calculatorEnter 0 for hardware price, pool fee and electricity costs (otherwise you'll only get negative revenue). Since I don't know your exact CPU model, I've entered 10 ghash/s which is probably generous. You'll see that you will have gotten around 1.62$ by September 2016. Difficulty will increase further, so that's about all you will ever get (the calculator does not compute beyond that time, but that would not make sense anyway). With a difficulty increase of about 2% you'd get 10$ eventually, but that's very unreasonable to assume. Comclusion: If you need 10$, work some hours (depending on the wage you can get in your country and given your skills) and get paid for your work. If you need bitcoins worth 10$, get 10$ as described above, and buy bitcoins. Onkel Paul

I'm mostly holding the coins that go to my campaign address, but I do spend from some of my other addresses. Mostly small donations and things like humble bundle games when I like an offer (I'm not a very active gamer.)

ash312: You probably fell for an imposter. What is the exact member name from which you got the "$80" PM? Can you reverse the PP payment? (everybody is complaining about paypal reversibility, now you could use it...)
rikrikrik: What did you mean with "your account is not your account"? Of course his account is his account. Do you mean another account than ash312?

People should realize that initiating a trade in an open forum is calling for trouble. Every reader knows that you're trying to trade, and some may try to trick you into sending your money to them.

What was the idea of Cyprus or Greece to stick with the Euro and not go back to its own currency? Eventually it would happen, it's inevitable, so why they haven't done it 2 years ago and this way they could have saved the falling bank, print money, and go back into growth faster than ever, and even gain more trust by investors than the way it looks so bleak now?!
Why common sense and politicians never coincide?
What do you mean by 'Print Money'? Print money with the old currency. If Cyprus went back to the Cypriot Pound or Greece went back to the Drachma, it would have had to print lots of this money to get out of debt (the debt in € they have would have been "translated" into their own currencies) - but this way after printing and printing comes the growth and everyone benefits from it. That is a much healthier solution than simply sticking with the € being unable to do much with it and being unable to repay the debt. You know this is bollocks... When a country starts printing money to repay debt *in another currency*, the only thing they will achieve is hyperinflation of their own currency - the value of their currency goes down because nobody is willing to buy it in exchange for the hard currency. Printing money can only sort of work when the debt is in your own currency, because the lenders have to accept the freshly printed money. Onkel Paul

Was steht denn da drin? Onkel Paul

One attack came from this IP: 51.21.9.22 Netherland, NL Second one from here: 198.38.94.199 ALAMO, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES 2015-04-09 06:59:08 EST
How do you know the IP addresses? It is extremely difficult to find the actual source of malware because by the time it gets active, the traces of its installation are normally gone. If you're just looking at IP addresses recorded by your firewall software, just ignore them, any computer on the internet is constantly bombarded with "attack" IP packets that are not any more than simple knocks at the door. The firewall has already prevented connections from these IP addresses, but it will not report the real source of a successful attack because it can't - otherwise it would have prevented the attack. Malware on windows computers is mostly installed either by yourself (when you installed something downloaded from the internet) or by your browser when an attacker exploits a browser security hole. You probably need to specify more clearly what you want. - A script for BJ website that you want to create? Or a bot script to automate playing on some existing BJ website?
- 100% working as in "always winning" or as in "not crashing for some stupid cases"?
- maybe things like desired language, environment etc. would be useful information, too.
- what's the relation to Bitcoin? Should the script handle bitcoin transactions for bets etc.? Or do you just want to pay in Bitcoin?
Without this, don't expect too many offers. Onkel Paul

It s also about the source of emails, where did they all these addresses from?
Yes that's the real question here. I don't know where they got mine, sadly I did not use individual addresses for different services, but I'm sure that I did not register at BTC-e and I think I never left my address at MtGox or Localbitcoins (although I'm not entirely sure of that). If they were able to siphon off addresses from different services, and managed to hack a coinbase account, they are either pretty good at hacking, have very good social engineering skills, or have placed people within several organizations. I don't know what to think of this. Onkel Paul

I can loan you a bit less with ur account as collateral. Let me know if u are interested. Regards
Sure you want to do this? You've already had a pretty bad deal with an account collateral And the investment sounds pretty risky - if one believes he can make more than 150% in 2 weeks with trading he's most likely falling into some trap. Onkel Paul

Extremely interesting - they seem to be using coinbase's mail infrastructure, here are some headers from the mail that I got:
Received: from o1.em.coinbase.com (o1.em.coinbase.com [50.31.37.137]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES128-GCM-SHA256 (128/128 bits)) (No client certificate requested) by xxx (mail service) with ESMTPS id xxxx for <xxx>; Wed, 8 Apr 2015 xx:xx:xx +xxxx (xxx) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha1; c=relaxed; d=coinbase.com; h=content-type:mime-version:content-transfer-encoding:from:to:subject; s=smtpapi; bh=xxxx; b=xxxx Received: by filterxxx.sendgrid.net with SMTP id filterxxxx 2015-04-08 xx:xx:xx.xxxxxxxx +0000 UTC Received: from xxxx (unknown [5.101.xx.xx]) by ismtpd-008 (SG) with HTTP id xxxx for <xxx>; Wed, 08 Apr 2015 xx:xx:xx +0000 (UTC)
(xxx'd all identifying information)
Maybe a hacked coinbase employee mail account? The original source of the HTTP request is a DigitalOcean IP address, presumably a VPS. I don't know whether the whole run was sent from that IP, if it was, xxxing does not make much sense of course as it is not specific to me.

"Investor-based games" is just an euphemism for Ponzi, so by definition, this forum is full of Ponzi schemes. If you don't want to participate in a ponzi scheme, stay away from this subforum. Simple as that. And if you see a ponzi advertised anywhere else on this board, report it to the mods with a comment "Ponzi, please move to appropriate subforum" or so.

Well I was specifically looking for an April Fools Joke when I browsed through the forum, and this topic title had "April Fools" all written over it, in 50pt bold red letters. Some forum members are just too gullible... Folks, please grow some healthy scepticism, especially when it comes to news that you eagerly hope for!
