221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Gold, Price Speculation on: October 16, 2017, 02:54:36 PM
Sooo if i have 0.2 Bitcoins inJaxx wallet, am i going to receive 0.2 Bitcoin gold? How if the Jaxx is not supporting BTG?

You will have private key, so you will be able to access the forked coins with them (remember to remove the BTC after the fork and b4 you expose your keys)...

223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest now or wait a while? on: October 16, 2017, 10:50:09 AM
Hello. My advice to  you is to wait for price drop. It will happen for sure befor implantation of SegWit2x , it will be similar like it was on 1st of August. Some people will panic sale which will bring price down. But after SegWit2x pricd will jump even higher than it is now. That is my advice, rest is on you. Oh yes, one more thing, do not let your emotions guide you.

It all depends on the amount to be invested...
If it is small it is ok to wait as it will not really matter what is the price..
But if we talk about BIG amount - better get some now, few more later and so on.
And if/when the price dips just get much more.
And probably let some for after the SW2x as it may drop even more then...
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why buy WAVES? on: October 16, 2017, 10:36:36 AM
Waves is a complete package, and if the Lite Client is developed with a little more effort, it will provide extreme ease of use for newcomers and pros alike. Its very easy to get into and does consolidate a lot of stuff into one space. Not only do I hope Waves will go large, but I feel its extremely undervalued at the moment. Those tokens though...

Waves = blockchain for the people.

Also, having the possibility to stake your Waves (when having 1k+) is very cool.

So you mean to have 1000+ waves or any token in the waves network?

How much is the airdrop amount?
227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why buy WAVES? on: October 16, 2017, 08:39:00 AM
This sounds interesting but who knows if they will last. I see it a bit risky...
Looks like ETH at beginning...
228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in cryptocurrencies on: October 16, 2017, 06:39:58 AM
@Wall-ET
"junior" i earned my Trust Rating over complicated circumstances.
I have long stated it was personal reasons.
How many people here are negged called a "Pedo" ? (because i admitted i download porn on some torrent site)
And no it was not "child porn" just typical run of the mill shit they post 24/7 all yr round.
Why did that asshole do that to me ?
Because he didn't like me and i got him first.. the guy that negged me has an online report where he was doxxed and coworkers accused him of being a pedo so when i said that he NEGGED ME AFTERWARDS.

Learn anything stupid *NOOBS* ?
Yeah the Trust System is not moderated and is abused.
I am sure you dumb fucks know that because i bet every single noob here jiggling his little dick holster at me has had other noob accounts banned or negged.

Me ? 0.
I have 1 account period.
I also know everyone.
You do not.
Because you are fucking noobs.
I have been here daily since 2013 (roughly 5 yrs) doing my homework..
and creating lots of opportunities to get a shiny new fancy Neg rating.
While you *NOOBS* created your account 3 days ago.

You see noobs this all relates to HISTORY.
You have no fucking right showing up here a noob and talking shit.
Neg rating or not.. i earned that fucking right little pajeet Investards.
I did the work !
YOU DID NOT.

History.. as in you ignore the context of all this.. which grows worse day by day.
And yeah i said the same thing during the 2013 SCRYPT coin cloning craze that mirrors the current and waning ICO craze.
Same shit / different pile  Roll Eyes

What i see and hear is little greedy idiot noobs lining up to defend bad.. by proclaiming it can't be.. 'cause i made some small amount of BITCOIN PROFITS off of XYZ shit coin.
Mean while there is over 13,000 ANN topics and climbing.
Then you ignore the context and spew dreamer bullshit by saying *some*.

News Flash Investards no coin ICO or not has accomplished fuck all. (that applies to Bitcoin which is regarded publicly as a bad risk scam of sorts)
So when you say your *some* coins are good will have a bright future i have to laugh.
The precedent so far is 100% pure fucking fail.

And you idiots in crypto don't know and don't care.
You got here 5 minutes ago and you are intent on profiteering for BTC / FIAT.
So all we are going to hear is what ever coin you are bag holding is "THE ONE"
The one that is the exception to your incessant claims that *almost all are scammy.

And ETH the little noob says ?
"Junior" I created a scam topic on it 3 years before you got here when they launched the ICO.
Since then it has been PROVEN to be far worse than we imagined.

but..

YOU made money off it so..... it's legit huh ?  Roll Eyes

I suggest you pull your head out of your ass's.
You pick ICO coin #12,619 then declare it the *some coin.
Because you are hoping to hell you get BITCOIN profits on some govt compliant insecure "exchanger"

NONE of you showed up here to support crypto.
You came to make money off of shitcoins and the idiot noob bragging to me how he "doubled his money" with ETH proves it.

You are morons.. there is no such thing as "investing" in crypto currencies.
You are willing new age digital variant ponzi / pyramid scheme participants.
You don't know what a crypto-currency is and you don't know what investing means.

When you show up here and start calling these centralized coins "Start ups" it sickens me !
This here if you don't realize it is sickening retarded bullshit going on.
EVEN IF *YOU* are making Bitcoin profits from it.

Summary:
Spoetnik stated the obvious yet again.

PS:
I don't give two shits what any of you think of my trust rating.
What difference does it make to me ?
All it is... is an opportunity to highlight the idiots shenanigans who negged me.
So i am grateful for it.. do it more  Cool

Look, First of all one person gives 1 neg rating, you got 8!
Second I said I sold 0.03ETH - this is nothing for double of what I got it for. => never called it "investing"
noob or no noob the age of account made on forum does not show how noob you are. you may have the acc for years and still be noob. you may never have account and not be a noob.
the two have no relevance at all.... so stop trowing garbage and keep it tot he topic Wink

229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What You Need To Know To Get FREE Bitcoin Gold During The Fork. on: October 16, 2017, 06:21:36 AM
Whats the last deadline to keep Bitcoins in the wallet to get free Bitcoin Gold i.e. Stop doing any transactions of Bitcoins ?
For example: Is it possible to have bitcoins in my wallet on 24th October and take advantage of free Bitcoin Gold on 25th October? or must I keep it there earlier for some time?
It is good to have them there on the 24th, as we d o not know exactly when on the 25th they will take a snapshot of the blockchain. And to be on the safe side, keep them there up until the end of 26th, so you will be sure you will get them. The idea to have them on a PC is that you will have access to the private keys. This will give you access to the gold.
As the wallet you got will not support gold, but the keys will unlock it once you get to a wallet that supports gold.

Good luck Wink
230  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-13]Bitcoin, Dash Can Now Be Spent at 40 Million Stores Worldwide... on: October 16, 2017, 06:12:03 AM
One of the big reasons why cryptocurrency most specially Bitcoin has not yet become a major currency (compared to the long-established fiat counterparts) is the lack of accessible infrastructure that an ordinary user or holder can use to purchase products and services. Hopefully, with many companies now coming with their own debit cards which anybody can use online or offline then maybe we can expect more and more transactions done using Bitcoin. With a potentially booming business in cryptocurrency related activities, I am sure that there would be more players in this industry and consumers can have many good choices.

Well if you say that 37th in rank of market cap is not a major then you are correct.
But fighting with the GBP for the 37th position is something major for me...

and ETH is fighting with PHILIPPINES for the 46th place...

So I would say they are pretty major for me..

Even BCH is in the top 100. Fighting Serbia for the 98th place...
Don't forget Bitcoin here representing a global currency and not a national currency with restricted borders. This makes the marketcap sound nothing as compared to some dominant fiat currencies. Hardly some hundred million people hold Bitcoin. That doesn't makes it a global currency. Marketcap need to touch at least a trillion dollar cap and user base needs to increase in some billions to make vendors and merchants actually accept Bitcoin as payment medium globally. This GDP comparison is irrelevant here.

You are mistaken. I do not talk about GDP I talk how much each country has in FIAT...
So my point is that BTC is reaching for the top cap of FIAT... (not talking about the virtual $ that banks create, but for hard printed on paper FIAT...)
231  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC effect on altcoins on: October 13, 2017, 01:00:24 PM
I see a break in btc at the moment, everybody is buying ether now. Perhaps it is the moment for the altcoins now?

Not sure this is correct, but we will see. Only the future will show.
BTW I hear there are some issues with the ETH Hard Fork...
Hope all goes well.
232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What You Need To Know To Get FREE Bitcoin Gold During The Fork. on: October 13, 2017, 12:53:18 PM
Okay, but what i dont understand is how the 1 BTC on my hardware wallet somehow magically gets 1 Bitcoin Gold andd possible the other two currency? Sorry if im being dumb! Really appreciate your replies Smiley

It is ok. no problem I will explain:
The new coin uses the history (ledger) of BTC.
So all the keys that open coins in BTC will open the same coins in the forked coin.
This is all correct for the amounts available in the wallets before the fork...
After that the amount in the wallet does not matter anymore...

Hope now it is much clear...
233  Economy / Economics / Re: Where did you first heard about Bitcoins? on: October 13, 2017, 12:29:05 PM
First time I saw BitCoin was in 2009 during the summer.

I was looking for online payment gateway like e-gold and saw this. Looked at the video and I liked it.
Started to mine it, but then was impossible to trade it only on forums and not many people knew about it, so I left.

Then in jan 2013 a friend asked me if I have heard of BitCoin, as he was wondering if it is worth investing in it. I told him "I'll look into it, as it sounds familiar, but have no idea why...".
Searched for it in google and watched the same video. At this point I called him and told him bet in big. This is the future and has great potential..
back then the price was $30. I started mining it and trading...

4. How do I get some of this new FREE money called Bitcoin Gold?
Follow these steps:
1. If you have Bitcoin on an Coinbase or any other purchasing/exchange platform - MOVE IT.
2. Move it by, creating a desktop wallet for your Bitcoin and transfer the coins to that wallet.
3. Do nothing. Yep. Nada.  Here is where people get confused.
4. IF YOU control the private key for your Bitcoin via a desktop wallet then YOU will have Bitcoin Gold in equal amounts.

I'm a newby to bitcoin and have put savings into a BTC exchange wallet. I dont understand this fork at all, but having read your post i think im going to purchase a hardware wallet even if its just for security! Could someone please explain how transferring my BTC from and exchange to a hardware wallet before the fork, gains me more BTC? super confused!

Thanks!

In the exchange you do not have access to the private keys => no access to the forked network.
If you have PC/Phone/Paper/Hardware wallet then you have the private keys and have access to all forked chains Wink
If you sell the new coins you will end up with more BTC then if you keep in the exchange.

There is a possibility that the exchange will support the new fork, then you will get the new coins, but that depends on the exchange will to share the coins (support them)...

Awesome thanks for the reply! So basically I may as well just store them to a hardware wallet, then after the fork (say beginning of December), i can transfer back to the exchange wallet and my BTC should be worth more? If i want to transfer it back that is.

Have I understood that right? haha

Nope the BTC will be the same, but you will have Bitcoin Gold and the other x2 (if it occurs)

but the amount of BTC will be the same (the price of BTC is something different)

Thanks for your generous answer but what happens I keep my bitcoin in web wallet let’s say blockchain.info where I am holding access for my private key. Can able to get bitcoin gold.even till now I dint claim bcc for the holding I had in blockchain.info on august fork.

In this case you do not have the private keys thus no access to the forked coins...

EDIT: You will need a paper wallet or @ PC or Hardware wallet in order to have access to the forked coins...

Until now I have only online wallet like Blockchain.info. please can you tell me how to get a good paper or hardware wallet? Thanks for this info.

Well for the hardware wallet you will have to buy online and it will take time to deliver...
For paper wallet you can use a javascript if you make a search here you will see one that has GitHub, so you can get it from there. then you need LiveCD (ubuntu) to boot the OS with NO internet!!! (if you like the paranoia unplug the HDD as well Wink )
Then you run the JS on the browser and you can generate wallets. then you print them Wink that is all.

If you have any troubles you could ask and I will try to help you.

BTW do not want to give you link to the JS as it is not mine and do not want to mislead you in any way.
I think the one I use (it is pretty old) is from this forum, so it is safe to say if it has a good reputation and in the [ANN] there is nobody saying there is problems with it then it is ok.
238  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-13]Bitcoin, Dash Can Now Be Spent at 40 Million Stores Worldwide... on: October 13, 2017, 08:27:07 AM
Bitcoin and other digital currencies are seriously lacking in one vital area: accessibility. It’s prohibitively difficult for new users to obtain cryptocurrency. An individual who wants to obtain a small amount of Bitcoin would probably find even the easiest route to be rather challenging.

Setting up a Coinbase account would be relatively simple in itself, but then the person must link either a credit card or bank account. Depending on several factors, the purchase may be instant or may require several days for an ACH transaction to be processed. Our new user now owns some shiny new Bitcoin...and probably has no clue what to do next.

Well this I do not agree with.
It is really easy to obtain BTC.
You get a PC/phone/paper wallet and then you ether find some local to buy bitcoin directly, or use a faucet (for really small amounts).
I have help lots of friends to obtain BTC the easy way. Fast and hassle free.
Then showed them where to register, so they can buy BTC easy.

Buying larger amounts of Bitcoin is even more difficult, requiring users to go through an extensive process to comply with “Know Your Customer” (KYC) and “Anti-Money Laundering” (AML) laws. This involves submitting numerous personal documents such as driver's licenses and utility bills, then filling out a long questionnaire and awaiting approval. Such users must then figure out what wallet they want to store their currency in, and wrestle with issues such as two-factor authentication and the like.

This is done just once, and if you want to invest big amounts (no matter if in Crypto or in other instruments) you will have to go through all this hassle as KYC and AML are obligatory everywhere!

But after all you have to do it once and then you are ok to buy/sell more and more with no hassle at all Wink

My biggest concern is trust. It is very big issue... There are dozens of icos coming day after day. I read about them, I learn the basics. But it is never enough. Sometimes project creators are just plain bad people.

Why would you all line up to admit that *most* are scammy then DECIDE to trust ANYONE in crypto ?
Does that make sense ?

You are also all noobs.
Why does that matter ?
Because you never searched what being GOX'd means.

In other words you are all lining up to deliberately ignore the context for high risk and hopefully high gain shit coin shenanigans.. while spewing pure bullshit about ideology.

None of you care so don't even bother pretending.
If a coin is shooting up in price you WILL NOT be checking whether it is decentralized or fair etc.
You will buy jacking off to FOMO pounding that BUY button !

What idiots SAY in crypto and what they do are two very different things.
Your actions betray your rambling cliche'd little noob advice speeches.

Decentralized ? How many ETH do you have ?
There is nothing decentralized about Ethereum.. or fair.
It is by YOUR OWN DEFINITIONS a scam.. yet ..you won't be missing out will you.
If everyone else is doing it so will i right ?

Here is some keywords for you next little cliche'd noob speech / advice.

Quote
Token Startup Community ROI Currency pre-funding Open-Source Profit ICO Decentralized Block-Chain FIAT Project Airdrop Exchanger Free-Market APP's Pre-Sale Coin

Lol and YOU how many ETH you got?
I see your rating here is of a scammer -8 trust...
btw interestingly I have 0.1 ETH that I have sold 0.03 for double of what I got it for and the rest I use to flip as I see it moves up for no good reason, all reasons for that are bad...
yet it goes. I am not trusting it and that is why I have only really small amount and I flip it just for fun.
I have mainly BTC and LTC, also some small old altcoins but that's it. no DASH no ETH no Ripple

It is a good idea to have a tool that will help new comers to figure out what seems to be a good investment and what not Wink
The OP has a good idea and hope it will work and help people. No need for the hate speech...
