221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Miner virus detect on: April 20, 2018, 07:31:40 AM
Almost all antivirus software threat all miners as  - dangerous software, cause it could be used as  viral miner.
so antiviruses do not sort miners for good or bad..  so you can't do anything about it.. just accept it

Stop my antivirus and try to open this miner software its open. After a few time start my antivirus then again detect that virus. Its not a simple virus >>Malware virus<< Detect. So what can i do?

Like what others have already said, it is a false alarm. All miners are seen as "malware" because they use your CPU resources. But you have nothing to worry about as long as you download well-known miners from the official source.

Most well-known is Claymore's miner or EWBF/DSTM miners which can be downloaded from these forums directly.
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Power efficiency and riserless motherboards on: April 20, 2018, 03:12:02 AM
Correct me if i'm wrong but I believe they are all the same in terms of power consumption? Because all boards, even though riserless, still require power to the PCIE lanes.

The Onda 1800 may be more efficient tho since i believe it uses a mobile/laptop based CPU that is built-in to the board.
223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: [LUNABOT]|[Crypto Trading Bot]❗Limited Offer for Sr./Hero/Legendary members❗ on: April 20, 2018, 01:57:22 AM
User interface is very neatly designed. Great job to the developers. However, this is a web-based trading bot? Are there any guarantees? I'm assuming we have to import our exchange API keys to this.

The website also doesn't describe much about the technical process or algorithm how the bot buys and sell. Is this better than gunbot? Why should i use this?

EDIT: Saw the original ANN thread and i am impressed. Doing a trial now.
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are the Green Days back ? on: April 20, 2018, 01:12:54 AM
It seems that the green days are here to stay. Many were skeptical and tried to short bitcoin again but ended up losing money.

My opinion is that the bears are gone and the bulls are here to stay. This time it will be different and crypto will rise to new all time highs. Hodl and hang on for the ride!
225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GUIDE: How to unlock the 1107mhz HBM2 cap on Vega64 on: April 19, 2018, 08:22:39 AM
Any news for vega 56? Can you optimize it too?

There are lots of guides on how to do the same with a Vega 56. Best if you even flash your 56 with a Vega 64 BIOS.

Although, there are already lots of guides on how to do this online. Do your own research and google first before asking. Spamming in this forum will get you tagged as a spammer.
226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XVG] Verge - Speculation & Discussion on: April 19, 2018, 06:07:37 AM
Wow, verge is oversold right now. BUY XVG. Buy the 700 satoshi dip while you can. Theres nowhere to go but UP.

Here are some hard stats for non believers out there:

227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: April 19, 2018, 03:15:48 AM
price increased  Roll Eyes 606 now

Notice the L3++, this one may produce sligthly more or be more effective.
No....no it doesn't. Just more Bitmain trickery and deception. They are desperate to clear the legacy Technology from their buildings. Their mining ops are moving to Canada and the US and they don't want to pack all that shit up. They also need room on their shelves for the newer technology units that they will screw us over on next. I can't wait until July or August when they announce the newer Scrypt and SHA256 units and all us guppies eat each other's tails begging and scrapping to get one or two units, while Bitmain sells 1000's behind our backs to large corporate mining businesses in back room deals. Same shit....different flies. When Bitmain opens their Mining here in Washington State, I hope some Eco-terrorists blow the place to Kingdom Come.

Lol. Eco-terrorists probably have bigger fish to fry than little old bitmain. At the very least bitmain is also invested in future AI technology for making life easier.

I hate bitmain too but if they blew up all cryptocurrencies value would probably sink because of all the FUD media will start selling.
228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XVG] Verge - Speculation & Discussion on: April 19, 2018, 12:12:08 AM
Porn is just filmed prostitution.  Most people are not going to want to have anything to do with that.

Check out www.singlesanonymous.org  There are more lonely singles today than any other time.

FYI, a lot of people pay for prostitution. This partnership brings in money and volume to Verge and is actually a good move for them.

Price will just go down after this, yes pornhub partnership allows them acces to like 100 billion dollars worth market but still most of those will rather use their credit card for premium account then doing all the hustle of filling kyc on echange and geting xvg there. Not to mention that you already can find a lot of premium accounts for free on pastebin(or so i have been told Grin)

You don't need to KYC just to buy verge. Are you new to crypto? There are lots of ways to buy crypto without going through registration. How do you know that most will use credit card instead of Verge? Do you have data to back this up or did you just imagine it in your small head?

Bottom line is Verge brought in more volume and utility to their coin and they did a good job. When people start realizing that porn is present because it is an extremely profitable industry, VERGE PRICE WILL MOON.
229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum [ETH], can it bounce back up? – on: April 18, 2018, 11:52:36 PM
It's already on the way back up! Don't know if you noticed but ETH was at a 4 month low when it reached the $300 range just a week ago. Now its at $500++. The rebound is real and i'm betting that we will see it surge back up to $1000+ in a few weeks time.
230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN vs ETH ? Your thoughts? on: April 18, 2018, 08:13:54 AM
I'd say that Ethereum is based on the principle of blockchain that supports bitcoin but with a purpose that does not compete with Bitcoin. The popularity and rising marketcap of Ethereum brings it in competition with all cryptocurrencies, especially from the trading perspective.

I would buy more ETH today if i had more money to spare.

i'm still buying 1080 ti's ... am i crazy? hehehe  Grin

That is pretty crazy. How do you figure?

people around here are not happy with 1080 ti profits anymore...

local supplier has stocks....I'm saying, why not? let's put their pascal asses to work and take a jump!

They are probably not happy with 1080 ti profits for a reason.

Do you have a secret coin you are mining for speculation? You know if you'd share it with me i could assess it for you.  Grin

people around here has a funny version of "hide and seek"...you should play it too, it is fun..

and people should not overcrowd a small boat...it might sink..

I want to play it too but i don't know how. Maybe you can give me a tip first and teach me how to play it.

If you let me into your boat i would much appreciate it. You will have gained a friend for life. Thats more important because when your boat sinks, who knows, i might have already found another boat for us.  Grin

Porn, eh?

I got some for you'all.  POCO came out today and swapped out my 25 KVA transformer for a 50 KVA one as I'm was starting to push the limit on what I had.

-snip-

Stop teasing and show us the miners! That will really wear us out.

Stumbled into Proton Coin, yet another X16R POW until Q3 when it will go POS with Masternodes, 85% block rewards...  compared to RVN, PGN .. this coin is traded higher in exchanges. Worth to jump into this coin?

Hi citronick! Any news on proton coin mining profitability? Would love to try it myself but i'm away from my miners right now and don't want to risk crashing them and not be able to physically reset them thereby losing days of potential mining revenue.

234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Small mining Arizona on: April 17, 2018, 06:06:23 AM

That looks like a very warm and noisy setup. Is the door closed when you leave it mining? Interested to know what temps you get on those ASICs and GPUs. I can imagine the data center closes the door while you are mining.
235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What are you gonna buy ? BTC LTC ETH ? other on: April 16, 2018, 08:47:59 AM
I have recently been doing a lot of trading and have gotten a variety of tokens and some btc and ether don't what to do just yet and holding for too long isn't really working too well, how can i minimize my losses? reinvestment options?

Minimize losses: stop loss.
Maximize chances: hold utility coins.

Bitcoin. Litecoin. Ethereum. This is exactly the order of priority for me in crypto. Bitcoin will always and should always be more than half of my portfolio. Everything else relies on the success of the leader. Altcoins for me I always love Litecoin as one of the oldest projects. I still do not support Ethereum but I am holding it for a few years.

Look at utility first (then, therefore, Monero should be in that list).

You sir might be complicating it too much. It should simply be:

Maximize profits: ETHEREUM

Ethereum has the most potential (to change the world!) of all the coins you mentioned and should receive a nice pump in the coming days.
236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: All you home mining farms...how do you keep it cool? on: April 16, 2018, 08:43:47 AM
80C is really nothing for GPUs.

Bitmain chips power down if it hits 80/degrees

Just goes to show how rank is sometimes a good measure of knowledge and accuracy.

I for one used to own some bitmain antminers which ran at 81-83 degrees during the day. I never experienced any power down or throttling compared to when they mine at around 77-78 degrees during the night.
237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: can eth reach over 700 on: April 16, 2018, 08:26:06 AM
anyone beleive that eth will reach 700 in next 30 days .  i think last april it will reach 600 and next month it will reach 700

Like many others hear, i echo the belief that ETH will not only reach 700 in the next 30 days, but rather double that and do $1400 in the coming days. Ethereum is a world-changing-game-changer. It has the potential to really do some good and I believe early investors (us) will be rewarded in time.

Ethereum is the mothership of all altcoins. It is probably the best investment vehicle in crypto at this point in time.
238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nanopool xmr payments low? on: April 16, 2018, 07:55:30 AM
Payouts according to thier calculator is way lowerthan what other calculators say

anyone else experience this?

Just compared my hashrate on whattomine.com and the built-in calculator on nanopool.

whattomine's estimated monthly income: $186
nanopool's estimated monthly  income: $180

At this small of an operation it's not much of a difference and is probably affected by luck but i can see the problem when you have large mining farms where $186 million vs $180 million is being compared.
exactly, im losing $40 a day it seema like

payouts supposed to be 315 or so and the calulator
on nanopool is paying 280 or even 270 , if anything it should be higer with fees
I really think nanopool is stealing

Was hoping the experts and veterans would have can come in and shed some insight by now but like i said previously it may all boil down to luck.

Whattomine is a calculator which gives estimates without being able to consider all the variables involved whereas nanopool actually has all the variables down to the last decimal being that they are actual processing your mining. That being said, make sure to also factor into the calculator the pool fee should be 1-2% i think.

240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have 69 ETH, What to do? on: April 16, 2018, 01:04:20 AM
Based on your screenshot, you may have $56 USD WORTH of ETH which is probably like 0.1 - 0.2 of ETH, not 56 ETH entirely. Thats not much so don't get your hopes up.

In the off chance you really do have 69 whole ETH coins then congratulations you will soon be a very wealthy man. Just hodl on to it and wait for it to rise above $2k USD. The pump should come very soon.
