221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casino Stake.com sued for $400 million on: September 08, 2022, 09:40:38 AM
Guys..... $400 million is peanuts for Stake.com.... they probably have a gross income of over $1Billion Dollars on a monthly basis. (Gross income... not Net income)  Wink

They also have enough money to pay for the best lawyers to defend them in court, so I will not be too worried about that. I think Stake might approach the ex-partner and offer him a lot less (out of court settlement) and then let him sign a non-disclosure... and that will be the end of that.  Wink

They can even temporarily stop paying some of these over paid streamers or get out of the Watford / Everton / Drake / Adesanya sponsorships... to settle with him. (I think they are over marketing Stake in any way)  Roll Eyes
$400 million is big even for Stake.com, dude. If you want something to scale, look at bitcointalk Stake.com signature campaign. They pay at least a few thousand dollars per week for the participants. If they got like 10% of that $400 million, they would take over all other signature campaigns in bitcointalk, at the Gambling section.
Think about 10,000 participants with each getting paid around $50. 1,000 x $50 x 48 weeks per year = $2.4 million dollars. Just 10% of that $400 million is enough for them to run that kind of signature campaign for years. Advertise took a lot of money and $400 million isn't a small number, you see?

223  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: September 07, 2022, 03:21:32 PM
In the first match Faze managed to beat the easiest team of the group in my opinion. Everyone can honestly say that it is not a very challenging group for Faze. The only tough opponent for them is G2. They managed to win 16-4 on both maps with a good game.
Now the big-outsiders match will be played. Outsiders have built a good roster, but we can say that big has a good roster as well. It will be a very middle match but I see the outsiders team one click ahead.

Things are still not going well for BIG now. They are likely to lose the first map which is Dust2. This is a map that Outsiders play better than them actually. And the second map is Inferno. Outsiders have a 67% win rate while BIG have 0 wins here. Therefore this series could end much more quickly for Outsiders. I really thought positively for BIG about this match but it looks like the nightmare is going to continue for them.

G2 - MIBR is later on and G2 are clearly the favourite. Even though they are trying to recover newly these days they shouldn't have big problems against their weak opponent here. 2-0 win is what I expect from them.
With the losing streak someone posted earlier for BIG while Outsiders was ex-Virtus.pro lineup and Avangar before that, around Jame & co. Of course, the chance for BIG to win against Outsiders is very slim.
map1 is done, 16-9 for Outsiders in BIG's map pick. Next is Outsiders map pick, Inferno.

Same, I guess this will end soon, 2-0 for Outsiders. Seem like I placed too much hope on BIG to eye for the 3rd spot in the group stage. Faze, G2, Outsiders might take all the spots.
224  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance to remove USDC as a tradable asset. on: September 06, 2022, 06:18:43 AM
Binance wants to have more liquidity for BUSD trading pairs. Having a bunch of different stablecoins for each of every coin is dumb. Slowly increase the number of different stablecoins other than BUSD and USDT on Binance's hands as they got it from trading fees. After the Terra Luna and UST, I think Binance has enough with all the shitty stablecoins that are unreliable and easily lose their peg in extreme conditions. So this is their attempt to reduce the risk from shitty stablecoins in Binance platforms.
225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: September 05, 2022, 08:47:40 PM
in addition to the things you mentioned, I believe that the coaches of barcelona and real madrid must have already called attention to their players to keep their focus on playing as a team and not thinking about individualism
Team achievements should take precedence over individual achievements, so I think that has been conveyed by every coach who manages any team nowadays be it Barcelona, Real Madrid or others. But for one thing, the coach also expects that every player who has extraordinary qualities can maximize his skills to help the team regardless of how they want to do it on the field.

You certainly know that not all players can be managed as the coach expects them to, so they must be free to play and not feel burdened by other things that are not important. I'm looking forward to Barcelona having their first Champions League game on Thursday my local time, they should be able to win the game without too much trouble. There are no high odds for Barcelona in that match, I think Barcelona is favorite.

A good reason why coaches always searching for young and talented players from their in-house academy camp. For example, Xavi coach from Barcelona showed his interest in a 15-year-old Lamine Yamal from La Masia youth academy recently. From the reports, the kid has skills similar to Ansu Fati.

Sort of the trait for young players is although greenhorn and lack experience, they're more likely to follow the coach's advice and more easily become a missing piece or growth to become club's backbone in the future. Lack of individualism helps them to be more integrated into the club than the other.
226  Economy / Economics / Re: Two Chinese local banks enter bankruptcy procedures on: September 05, 2022, 08:25:58 PM
The fact that these banks can get away with filing for bankruptcy and noy return people's money is scary. Also, the fact that the governmeny is aiding these banks in trying to repel the stakeholders and silence everything is also something that needs to be addressed. If I were a Chinese doing business with small local banks, I'd be scared as hell and would be withdrawing everything that I have there. I'd move my funds somewhere else, and certainly not in a bank that is small and doesn't have the ability to liquidate their assets for reimbursements. A lot of people lost their money while the bank is allowed to file for bankruptcy. It's a shameless thing that they're doing there in China, but outsiders can only condemn and not really do a thing.
The local governor in cahoot with small-time banks in local province to get people open savings in their banks for the high-interest rate is nothing new in China. The real reason behind the collapse of those banks was that China from the top started to crack down on housing and construction loans to stop the housing bubble. A lot of news about China's ghost cities. With apartment blocks completely empty while the housing price is still high, young Chinese people can't afford it,...

This is where the top or central government tightens the banks money pump to those sectors. No more easy money from taking a loan, building an empty house, dump it back to the banks and taking a new loan, rinse and repeat. Cause housing/real estate bubble. Big no no, Xi Jinping doesn't like it, start a crackdown. Small-time banks in local provinces can't weather it, can't pay back the high-interest rate anymore even with assets liquidate. File for bankruptcy and hope the central government to bail them out or else social unrest, and instability but the central government doesn't care, they have the might to maintain the order.

Barcelona's saga of selling players continues. This time, Miralem Pjanic got an offer from Sharjah FC in UAE Pro League on a three-year contract. It's up to Miralem if he accepts or not. A bit weird to see Barcelona want to sell Miralem since I always thought he would be a sub for Sergio Busquets in midfield since he is quite old. Tho moving down from La Liga to UAE Pro League seems okay for Miralem too as he also isn't young anymore.
228  Economy / Economics / Re: Germans are looking to firewood for energy as natural gas prices soar on: September 05, 2022, 07:22:57 PM
Sad to realize that only small part of people understand real problem natural resources.
Also sad many politicians don't understand it either. The focus has been on CO2 and the climate for a long time, up to the point of storing CO2 underground. But none of that solves the supply problems, and I believe a shortage of resources is going to be a much bigger problem than rising temperatures.
That is why I advocate for countries to go nuclear. Starting with at least half of the total electricity needs come from nuclear power plants. The rest can be filled with hydro dams, renewable energy, and other fossil fuel dependence. If you're from countries with a winter season, the effect of being less dependent on fossil fuel for electricity around the world help to lower the price of coal, natural gas, LNG, propane,... which are very efficient for the heating needs.

Of course, nuclear power has been heavily propagandized by the oil cartels, to keep it at bay because of their greed. We saw oil cartel's propaganda under the guide of how to reduce CO2 emissions only, on renewable energy only because the oil cartels know things like that will never threaten their business.

229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: September 05, 2022, 06:38:45 PM
It was a really dangerous day for NaVi indeed. They could have even been out of the tournament if Spirit defeated Vitality. This was quite probable normally as Vitality didn't need any win after guaranteeing their lead in the group. This is a big lesson for NaVi I hope. They have s1mple also but there is something different with their team play recently. I wonder how they weakened this much suddenly.

Group B matches are going to start in only two days. FaZe are the absolute favourite team to finish the group as the leader of course. But I won't be 100% sure of it after seeing how bad NaVi did in the group stage.  Grin  Outsiders have been dropping down in the ranking for some time. However I still see them a very dangerous opponent for every team in the group. We shouldn't forget that OG defeated FaZe in Blast Premier not much time ago. Outsiders are not much different than OG. G2 might be eliminated in this stage already by finishing it in the 4th position I assume. They need to make a big improvement after their poor performance in Blast Premier.
The latest HLTV ranking is out! Check out pic below for the top 10 HLTV.
Faze took the #1 spot from Navi, #2 for now. Navi is at #1 but doing piss-poor at stage round, just barely made it to the playoff round. Now Faze is at #1, the same curse again to Faze in stage round in group B?

Also, Liquid is at #3! A nice surprise since I have a soft spot for Liquid as I've posted before from the old roster Stewie, NAF, Twistzz, Nitro, Elige. This time, Liquid at #3 with NAF, Nitro, Elige, Yekindar, oSee tho. Interesting to see Vitality at #4 with +3 from the last ranking.

snip
G2 jumped up to #9, +1 from the last ranking so don't worry about G2 falling out of the top 10 HLTV. They're improving since the last roster change with jks and Hooxi. You know, it always took time for CSGO pro players to form into a team and train strats. For m0nesy, I think I remember there was a clause in the contract where Navi is the first one to buy back m0nesy if he decides to part away with G2. So yeah, Navi pretty much can receive m0nesy back.
230  Economy / Economics / Re: Wheat War I is going to be World War III on: September 05, 2022, 10:53:38 AM
Forget about wheat. The common food stamp for poor people, rice is under threat as two countries known for at top 5 rice export in volume, Vietnam #2 and Thailand #3 want to cooperate on raising the price of rice. With Pakistan #4 in rice export (in terms of volume) under heavy floods, loss of rice crops and even asking for food aid, the situation looks grim for countries that have huge imports of rice to meet the food need of their citizens.
231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 05, 2022, 10:35:13 AM
Manchester United took the opportunities as they came, they utilise it properly. The match was won in the midfield. Erikson and Fernandes were very calculative they took advantage of Arsenal's errors and convert them to something else. There was a connection between Rashford and the midfielder. Arsenal did the playing but United did the scoring. Congrats to Man. United
Anthony's effort in the match was remarkable. He was making attempts to score out of the yard box of the pitch
Ten Hag has implemented a strategy that suits Manchester United's players and has proven in the previous 3 matches against Arsenal to play very well, especially Manchester United's bottom line which is able to record 2 Clean Sheets and also Manchester United's midfield and front start to play very well. This is an increase in Manchester United's performance, if their game continues to be consistent I think Manchester United will be a tight competitor to occupy the top of the Premier League standings.
Christian Eriksen is the missing piece that fills in the gap in ten Hag's strategy for Manchester United's playstyle. Damn, the dude got cardiac arrest last year right in a middle of a match, had to take an implant in his heart but still rocking as an athlete in Premier League. I think he's the best player in the match between Manchester United and Arsenal. His passing in the midfield contributes a lot to Manchester United's goal and applies pressure on Arsenal's defense. Really the best performance of Manchester United and Eriksen so far of the season.
232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why the price of gpu is skyrocketing? on: September 05, 2022, 10:21:20 AM
The price of GPUs are skyrocketing? Where? Cause of my local price and aboard price for GPUs, both are much cheaper compared to before. And this is already taken into account of the inflation which your 100$ isn't worth as much as before as both fuel and food price has been increasing so much, again inflation.
Can you show us any examples? Since the above was talking about the overall GPUs price. Maybe there are some selective few GPUs that did have price increases but we didn't know.
233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: September 05, 2022, 10:06:59 AM

NIP shuffled their playstyle and it paid off.
I wasn't expecting Rez to pickup awp, but he plays it so much better than pricetag.

Navi fails like a Tier 3 random faceit mixer when their opponent shuffle their deck by not following their usual gameplay.
Anyways, Navi still made it and they clearly didn't deserve it lol

No more Pro League until Wednesday now  Cry

Navi was too confident on their setup. What NiP did on most of their T side on Overpass was to show the bomb on the radar then wait for a long time before making the play. Perfect attention diversion on some rounds but when Navi realized this, NiP just went on to play their normal setup, and it's too late. Rez is awesome on that awp and I agree that he can switch roles, but he's too good of an entry fragger and he trades very consistently with the rifle. While electronic popped off on that map, rez just styled on him and his teammates for the most part.

If Navi could just prove that they're the current top 1 by adapting to NiP's setup but nah. They had other plans I guess Cheesy
Once Navi knew they had already passed the group stage thanks to Vitality winning Spirit 2-0, trying to win the next map Overpass meant little to them. That's the main reason for the slow to adapt NIP's shuffles, guys. Both Vitality and Navi are under the gg.bet's banner so a favorite in-house, perhaps.

Tho yeah, have to give NIP credit too for trying their best despite knowing every kind of effort they made in Overpass's going to be futile. Shame that NIP can't make it past the group stage and sit out of the ESL Pro League. Hope the other group will be less complicated than group A. Group B will start on Wednesdays with teams: Faze, G2, BIG, Outsiders (ex-Virtus.pro lineup with Jame and co), MIBR, and FTW. Faze and G2 easily took one playoff spot each, the 3rd and last one for Group B might be a tough fight between Outsiders, BIG, and MIBR.
234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 04, 2022, 06:51:55 PM
Impressive ! Manchester United is on fire, Arsenal are made helpless now the standings are also very thin in the top 3, the difference is only one point and it is very interesting to watch Premier League. Arsenal 5 winning streak has been broken by the Red Devils, it turned out that Ten Hag had a miracle in his head but I'm very happy Manchester United their performance is getting better.

Poor Arsenal! I thought Saka had the best chance as soon as they resumed the second half until the defenders flopped again. Arsenal had the opportunity to gain more points today by having a larger margin against others, but the defenders went on a sleeping spree. Their position on the table appears to be weaker, but their next match may not be as difficult as the outcome of Manchester City.

Erik Teng's strategy appears to be a challenge to other top teams, they have cancelled Liverpool and Arsenal, if they do the same to Chelsea and Manchester City, they will earn every ounce of respect they have lost in this short period.
Finally Arsenal unbeaten record this season was stopped by Manchester United at Old Trafford, Manchester United appeared extraordinary by being in control of the game which made Arsenal difficult. Old Trafford became a nightmare for Arsenal after winning streaks this season had to stop in week 6.
The Manchester United squad has started to show positive signs after performing poorly in the first two games of the season, they slowly started to rise by beating their opponents in four consecutive matches. Ten Hag quality as a top-class coach is starting to show, now Manchester United has managed to sit in 6th place with 12 points, while Arsenal are still leading the standings with 15 points.
Haha, Manchester United at Old Trafford is the evilest form of the red devil. I was hoping for a draw against Arsenal at best but Manchester United far exceed it. A win for Manchester United at 3-1, can you believe it? Stop Arsenal's 5 winning streaks too. Truly, never underestimate Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Top 8 Premier League with every club played 6 matches already. Manchester United is only a little away from Arsenal at the top with 3 points. And all the upcoming matches this month for Manchester United are met with easy clubs like Crystal Palace and Leeds United.
235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: September 04, 2022, 06:26:28 PM
The only maps that NIP are better than NaVi are Inferno and Vertigo indeed. Ancient is neutral for the sides so I think this map is very likely to be picked by one of the sides. But considering the probable bans and picks, NIP are going to be very disadvantageous anyway.

Besides, NIP have a very low chance to create their second chance by this match even if they win. Because NIP's total round difference in the group is -37 now. The closest team that they need to get past are NaVi which have a 12 round difference in total. NIP must defeat NaVi by a huge difference which is the only way for them to perform a miracle today. I think there is no chance for this. I don't think NaVi would leave their job to chance here. So NaVi win can be added to the betslips @1.23.
Yup, NIP's map pool is poor. And dang, it was Inferno, Mirage, and Overpass instead of Ancient. Easily to guess the win for both teams in their map pick. NIP will win the Inferno as their pick while Navi will win the Mirage as well. 2-1 in Overpass to decide who's going to have a chance in group stage A. Although NIP has -37 and 1-3 win/lose, if both Spirit and Endpoint lose at a huge margin, Navi loses to NIP too, there might be something ugly going on in group stage A.

@Distraction:
Luckily, all three matches of Vitality vs Spirit, Fnatic vs Endpoint, and Navi vs NIP both happened at the same time. Fixing will be hard. As you said, Vitality can just let Spirit win at a huge margin to kick both Navi #1 and NIP #6 out, less dangerous teams in the playoff rounds. Or NIP could drag Navi down with them that even with a win, Navi's round difference isn't enough against Spirit.
236  Economy / Gambling / Re: Some Crazy Fun Facts About Casinos And Gambling You Might Not Know. on: September 04, 2022, 10:43:21 AM
14. Casinos Are Illegal in Japan (But There's a Loophole).

The Japanese have devised a loophole to allow gamblers to get their fix: while casinos are illegal in the country, Pachinko parlors are not. Pachinko is a slot machine-like game that earns players little silver balls. The balls can be traded for alcohol, toys, or other prizes ... but you can also ask for "special prize" tokens. These tokens can be redeemed at separate, state-regulated shops for cash, thus enabling gamblers to earn money in a country that technically forbids gambling.

So Japan. On the front face, it was illegal but an undertable agreement was reached and allowed the thing to be legal. Horse betting and motor betting are legal as well. But the majority of casino games are illegal in Japan.
To be honest, Japanese law is so convulsing and does not make any sense. Tho lately, they did seem to push for the legalization of gambling by opening special casino resorts in three cities: Osaka, Tokyo, and Yokohama. I know the Japanese love to gamble, from slot machines to gacha games. Any sportsbooks want to push for Japan going to rake in cash eventually.
237  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it advisable as a starter to engage in future trade? on: September 04, 2022, 10:22:22 AM
Depend on what kind of 'new trader' you are. Advise is usually applied to the majority, which may or may not suit you. To me, a new trader jumping straight to the crypto's future trade mostly end with fund got liquidated from poor risk management. But if you're already well familiar with the stock's future trading and such, you can know enough to not get rekt right away in crypto's future trade despite starting as a new trader to crypto. The best course of action is to trial yourself with a paper account on crypto's future trade first.
238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 04, 2022, 10:01:02 AM
Jack Grealish is the biggest disappointment for Manchester City these days. Actually it would have been better for the team to sign a better left winger than him. Neymar is of course one of the great options but he would cost too much for them. His salary is too high for a 30-year-old player. Otherwise I don't think that Neymar would reject a contract from Manchester City. He is already having problems with Mbappe in the team even though he has Messi right beside him. But unless he accepts a significant pay cut I don't expect him to sign for any other team now.
Neymar rumor was happening since last few seasons , but guess what ... psg successfully defend him from moving out despite there is a lot of conflicts .. last season neymar stay because there is messi coming to the club and this time ... an internal heat between the two stars ... i don't think it would be the main reason neymar could ask for the transfer.

Chelsea and manchester city are indeed reported looking at this situation but nothis is sure yet as of now.
Neymar was surely a headache for PSG sometime back, and they were looking for some suitable offer for him to offload but now suddenly with his amazing performance in early few matches he gives shut up call to all those were feeling he can't perform as he was few years back still he is the best player at his position even he has few issues with Mbappé but still he can do good which will help his team for having best results in any event.

With the arrival of new coach now things looking much better but still few conflicts are creating troubles for them which needs better handling from management, and they need to give good treatment to all players with same level which is the biggest issue right now in PSG.
I say Neymar and his squad at PSG want to push for a Champion League cup this year. He comes back with all the seriousness compared to before which was a bit lax. Of course, a cup in Champion League also benefits PSG as well as the prospect of fetching a good price for Neymar to transfer out of PSG.
We'll it in the upcoming match between PSG and Juventus in the stage match at Group H.
239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Keep or sell ethereum before the merge? on: September 04, 2022, 09:43:53 AM
Keep it. I'm sure The Merge will have plenty of late-to-the-party investors. They FOMO will push the price of ETH to be very high. Binance and other CEXs already plan to stop the deposit/withdraw ETH which I think is another thing to contribute to the high price of ETH around The Merge. Since the ETH supply to exchange will be cut from the wallet, this is the spelling for a pump. How much? I can't tell. The risk of it being dumped post Merge is also there.
240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: September 04, 2022, 09:10:17 AM
Fnatic actually didn't play very well, but as a team they were better than spirit. This helped them to win.
Fnatic got firepower and very good players now. The difference in individual skills was very apparent. Chopper is a bot and magixx failed to show any magic. Wonderful was meh.

I am very surprised with Vitality's win over Navi in 2nd and 3rd map.
Vitality hasn't even played Overpass with this new roster and yet they stomped Navi in the second half.
Navi is no longer the same powerhouse.
They have performed very well against navi. There is something wrong with NAVI in this tournament. They lost 0-2 against Endpoint and now they dropped again against Vitality. They are not looking like the number 1 in the world right now.

Vitality is now the top in their group with 4-0. NAVI and FNATIC come second and third respectively. With the matches tomorrow, I think the top three are set unless there are some upsets from Endpoint and Team Spirit.

Tomorrows matches are:

NAVI vs NIP
Vitality vs Spirit
FNATIC vs Endpoint

Vitality is secured with the top spot regardless of the result of the matches tomorrow.

Navi vs NIP will be an interesting match. Navi wasn't in their top form, I agree with you on that. Navi lost to Endpoint 2-0 while NIP won 2-0. Does this mean NIP at the upper hand against Navi? Or does Navi keep hiding its strats and just want to pass the group stage rounds before being forced to reveal their strats for payoff rounds?

Map ban/pick between both sides will be hard to guess and determine which team is going to win. NIP wants to pick Vertigo and Inferno but Navi definitely wants to ban Vertigo. NIP is likely to ban Dust2 and Mirage as well. Inferno, Overpass, and Ancient as a leftover?
