Maybe bitcoin foundation can act as an authorized code reviewer and publish the certified software and hardware
That's a damn good idea

The payment will be sent out now. After fighting with several vendors over the weekend i was able to finally get BTC from Circle this morning. Will repost here to confirm once tx is sent

This post is a text book example at how scammers use social manipulation to steal money. what looks like a harmless review of an actual service, is a social technique in order to attract potential marks.

I have used Nitrogen Sports in the past, and they are a very trustworthy site in my opinion.

Based on the quality of code of your linked repo, i seriously doubt you have 10 years experience in any of the languages you mention.
lets look at the css in style.css:
- * {} should be used to set all block level elements box-sizing to border-box -no usage of shorthand attribute arguments. you set padding-left,padding-right, etc manually on .bodyHeader -vendor prefixing border radius. its 2015, you'd be hard pressed to find a browser that doesn't support the border-radius property.
lets look at the php index.php:
-using @ for error suppression. -for some reason you have chose to prefix your variable names with `var`. why? we already know its a var, thats what the $ symbol means. -in $varAverageArray, you are manually defining the keys, when when they default to numeric anyway. not sure why.
lets look at the html in index.php
- .exchangesDiv has no closing tag
lets look at the javascript in index.php
- 3 separate script tags are used for inline scripts. 1 for each conversion function and 1 for instantiation of the jQuery autogrow plugin. - echoing php values directly into your function. - poorly devised functions. should have constructed an object with the currency type to store the values for each currency, and use the currency name as the key to access the values. then you would not need that lengthy if else loop at all. - loading ancient version of jQuery(1.11.2) tells me you probably don't know much about jQuery or don't understand your target market well. paired with the css properties you used, i can make an educated guess that you don't plan on supporting old versions of Internet Explorer, so logically you should have included the jQuery 2.x library instead.

I'm not at all suprised at the responses i'm getting. I guess many of you are unaware of just how resource intensive bitcoin is. I will also reiterate, if bitcoin is the only thing running, it doesn't overheat as bad. it gets warm but not overheating. its when i'm doing my normal multitasking (ssh, filezilla, dev-c, npp, skype, toggl) that it happens. the same thing happens during skype calls as well.
Yes, bitcoin core is CPU intensive (at least until it has caught up with the blockchain), that's no secret. But there are several thousand users all over the world who are able to run it on hardware ranging from top-notch speed demons to computers salvaged from scratch heaps. Somehow, overheating does not seem to be a common problem for them, maybe because the hardware and operating systems they use are able to cope with CPU intensive stuff. If your laptop isn't able to either transport the heat away from the CPU when it's under full load, or reduce CPU speed so that it does not create so much heat, it's a problem with your laptop and the operating system it runs. Bitcoin core can't fix that problem. I already suggested to check for temperature management software - do you have anything like that? If not, you should definitely install it. Onkel Paul Any recommendations for temp management software? preferably open source

i've recently seen a demo of a site that uses your cellphone number and OTP for logins.

Just when you think it couldn't possibly get worse, Vod strikes again!

|

In my opinion, I'm glad someone is doing the job Vod's doing, taking on the unenviable position of calling out scammers at the first sign of trouble.
Cheers, Vod.
not factually accurate. he has a track history of false positives and bias(ignoring known scammers)

1. their exchange rate is always much lower than other exchanges. 2. you cannot deposit with debit card(much lower fee). instead you have to deposit as credit card(7.5% fee) 3. ach is the only method you can deposit with in low fees, but to get verified you have to be a dumbass who has their information floating around in online databases. if you've been smart enough to protect your identity online you cannot get verified. 4. i received .15 btc for a $45 deposit. that's $8 in fee's. and absolutely unacceptable.
Understandable. Thanks for your post and your review! I like the site when I'm feeling lazy and want to do credit or debit card deposits and they actually explained the issue regarding debit cards. Apparently it's only for pinless debit cards which may be just a European thing or something? I noticed that about the ach thing as well. I couldn't use it since I couldn't get my information fully verified. Very strange. Just a good exchanger to use for credit card deposits in my opinion. I was fine paying the 7.5% fee, but the fact they take another 7.5% with the exchange rate just screams scam. so, i lost $4 to fees, then another $4 to their exchange rate being lower than all others

Why would i buy bitcoin for 200 - something bucks when i can have Litecoin maybe later for 40 cents?
It's dead already: http://bitcoinobituaries.com/You are a retard! LOL

Hi quickseller. Im not best poster becouse i dont know english very well:) But for sure im not troll, i only hate when people who scam other guy still can write on forum as normal person. All thief and scammers should be banned and ignored. I know BAC is mrklye friend he even talk just as him. I ask him to remove my trust but now he ignore me. And thank you very much for this post. Greeting's!
Well the fact that you are a troll or not does not really matter in regards to the case in hand. If they are friends, then it is completely understandable for BAC to stick up for MYRKLE, no, if they are friends then shame on BAC if he did not stick up for MYRKLE, however that does not mean that he should be giving negative trust to people in order to shut them up about thefts that he has previously carried out that negatively affected the community. I guess you understand now huh?

How is Bitcoin at fault here? You have a shitty computer. Get some proper cooling or buy a new one. My laptop has never had any problems with Bitcoin and I have an Nvidia GPU, which are known to become way to hot.
eh its a pretty bad ass computer, it just doesn't have sufficient cooling. the cpu is designed to run between 100-105 C the internal design doesn't allow enough airflow. it has only one small opening on the side to vent heat What model computer are you using? That is very very hot seems like possibly defective. i5 3230m. i had a lenovo with the same processor. loved it. this one is an Acer, purchased it from the bitcoinstore back in the day Has it always been this bad on heat? It just seems like maybe it's dirty and needs dusted out, or fan's are not up to original spec. I have had an asus gaming laptop (it as a while back) but never had it get heat so bad from CPU, it was GPU that really heated up. no, not really. i remember about 6 months ago i was on a skype call for several hours and the pc just died. now it gets very hot for bitcoin syncing and skype calls. everything else it runs fine. my only guess is it either needs cleaning or has some hardcore malware i haven't been able to find
