221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What cryptocurrency would you engage to gamble in? on: March 02, 2019, 06:59:12 PM
My favorite cryptocurrency for gambling has to be fast. Maybe the low volume coins would probably serve this purpose better.
There are quite a few safe and worthy cryptocurrencies aside Bitcoin, such as EOS, Wave, Bitcoin (via lightning network), dogecoin

Dogecoin is a meme shitcoin.  No one uses that coin for a ny serious transactions.  This scam will end up going to zero eventually.  EOS is a centralized scam that will end up failing as well.

BTC/ ETH are the go to cryptos that are very liquid and widely used.
222  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are there any Exchanges as good as Bitmex that support fiat or tether? on: March 02, 2019, 06:46:47 PM
I wouldn't use Bitmex, they are super sketchy and trade against their own customers.  Bitmex is basically just a giant casino and the odds are against you.
223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Constantinople Hard fork to be delayed on: March 01, 2019, 04:56:49 PM
We keep hearing good news but the price continues to fall, this is very disappointing.  This has been a very rough time for crypto investors and hopefully things change soon for the better.
224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING - Coinomi Wallet CRITICAL Vulnerability Made Me Lose My Life Savings on: March 01, 2019, 04:31:46 PM
The replies from coinomi are very conercning and I would recommend that no one use this wallet anymore.  There is just too much risk at this point, please keep your funds stored offline for optimal safety.
225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Dan Bilzerian genius poker player or compulsive liar? on: March 01, 2019, 04:21:48 PM
This guy is known as the king of instagram and claims to have won hundreds of millions playing poker.  Claims to have won pots over $10million and other outrageous things.  Do you believe anything he says or do you think he is just a rich trust fund kid that got his money from dad?
226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Coinhive cryptojacking service to shut down in March 2019 on: February 28, 2019, 03:03:12 PM
This is just the nature of business. Those that can't stay profitable and provide customers with a good service will end up going out of business.  Let the strong companies thrive and the weak perish.
227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING - Coinomi Wallet CRITICAL Vulnerability Made Me Lose My Life Savings on: February 28, 2019, 02:39:18 PM
What I do not understand is, why Coinomi need to spell check your seed phrase on googleapis.com? Is this done on purpose to blame external factors, when someone within the company used this "backdoor" and get caught?

I have always said that centralized wallet providers and exchanges should never be trusted with your life savings. DO NOT put all your eggs in one basket. <80%+ of my hoard are stored on Cold wallets & Hardware wallets and only 20% are stored on different centralized services for daily access>  Wink

this is what I think happened.  They are using google as someone to blame when they are really just using the backdoor themselves.  I doubt someone from google would be be responsible for this.  I'm not saying its impossible but very unlikely.
228  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Bearish or Bullish? Here my thoughts: FEBRUARY UPDATE on: February 28, 2019, 02:31:04 PM
My outlook is long term so I am always bullish.  I'm not worried about the next few months or even the next year.  I'm looking a decade in the future.
229  Economy / Economics / Re: Don't stress too much due to the bear market on: February 26, 2019, 06:24:51 PM
After seeing people with real health issues its easy to not stress about money.  As long as you are in good health you are already doing great, the money is just a nice added bonus.
230  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Why Geothermal Energy is simply better for mining on: February 26, 2019, 06:17:48 PM
Wouldn't the better solution be to simply move over to proof of stake coins instead of the outdated proof of work concept?
231  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Lack of spending on longevity research on: February 26, 2019, 06:11:54 PM
They are investing their money in shortening lives. You can see this when you reflect on modern vaccinations, the emphasis on drugs rather than health care, and the theft of wealth from the elderly.

yep, healthcare costs are skyrocketing in America.  Life expectancy is dropping and everyone is hopped up on prescription drugs.  Doctors are taught by pharmaceutical companies, they want us sick and weak.
232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lessons from poker on: February 26, 2019, 06:10:05 PM
Well mate, in any kind of gambling, there's no system but sports betting is an exemption. In poker, you have to know how to tilt the players and play the game by analyzing the body languages of the other players you play with. It's all about knowing how people react about the cards they possess, you have to know what are the body languages they do if they get losing and winning cards.

But yes, you can't be a result oriented person in gambling because you only speculate and ups and downs are always there. You just have to stay on sit and win the game.

Online gambling is a completely different ball game.  Its not like you can read people's facial expressions. Smiley
Some sites are very sketchy and you will get people teaming up on you as well.
233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Good coins to mine with big CPU rig? on: February 26, 2019, 06:02:00 PM
Your about 9 years too late if your trying to mine with a CPU.....

Even the GPU days are dying with Monero and Ethereum getting invaded with asics and the problem is only getting worse.
234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2018-2019 betting on: February 26, 2019, 05:55:35 PM
Sorry if you already answered this but are you actually betting on the games you pick and if you are how much are you putting on each game?

236  Other / Serious discussion / Lack of spending on longevity research on: February 26, 2019, 05:40:04 PM
Many wealthy people are just sitting on their wealth like dragons guarding gold.  In the end we all will turn to dust.  The #1 thing people can be investing in is longevity.  People like Steve Jobs had a chance to invest in his own life but did not.   I think most billionaires don't want to throw their money away, which is how they see it when the odds of the investment working out is really low.
237  Other / Politics & Society / Shouldn't the goal be no work on: February 26, 2019, 05:30:48 PM
Productivity continues to increase and we will see even greater improvements as technology gets even better.  Shouldn't the end goal be for humans to work less?  The monetary system truly doesn't matter, what matters is the amount of resources we have.  An economic crash doesn't just magically take away the natural resources we have.  If one person could press a button and produce all the things we make now that should be the goal.
238  Economy / Gambling / Re: Win one bitcoin on: February 26, 2019, 04:19:34 PM
If noone gets any referrals or other commissions then they are collecting 5btc to payout 1btc lol. Pretty sure 19$ for a 1:1000 chance is a bit overkill as well.

Ridiculous, even state run lotteries "only" take half the money collected and use the other half as the reward.  I doubt OP will get many players on this game.
239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The baddest (as in good) 2 card budget mining setup? on: February 26, 2019, 04:13:43 PM
You will make more if you use your $600 and just buy coins instead.  You probably don't want to hear this but the days of the small miner are over.  If your doing this for a hobby and not for maximum profit go and continue with your build.
240  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is stoploss worth it ? on: February 26, 2019, 04:05:05 PM
Whales often put up sell walls to lower the price and trigger stop losses.  This is how they accumulate coins for cheap and then they dump them during the next pump.  don't fall for their trap, I would never suggest using a stop loss for crypto because these markets are naturally volatile.
