221  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: WTF Avalon? Ship the Chips! on: August 07, 2013, 08:44:32 PM
How about putting up Yifu Wanted posters, like in the days of the wild west all over NY city (or wherever he hangs out).

Smoke him out from where he is hiding  Grin

As much as we would like to have what we paid for shipped,  a wanted dead or alive proclamation may be considered a "death threat"  in the USA and could land you in prison.  ;-)

Except the little tiny thing of breaking Federal Trade Commissions regulations, IF they are refusing refunds before a product has shipped.

I read the FTC regulations ...They are not in violation of anything.... Yet.

Can we pay with a debit card or verified paypal account? When do you think we can expect to have these at our door steps as an estimate time frame?

I believe he has stated in the past, it will be up to couple weeks after he receives the chips from you.  No idea on payment options.
224  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Product Teasers] Prototype hubs & more from Big Picture Mining Cooperative on: August 03, 2013, 04:24:19 AM
Nice.
I am assuming that a lot of people would use the new hub for K-1's or BE. Looking at the schematic for the USB hub, It looks like the clearance between ports ( side to side) is very close.  Has the clearance been verified to fit BE or K-1 ?

225  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 02, 2013, 03:17:51 AM
At a minimum, I am sure you will have to configure your main pool and failover pool in cgminer.  I don't know if they will include a configuration script or GUI to streamline the process.  If not, there are plenty of Cgminer config guides for setting up pools etcetera.  Usually USB devices don't require much configuration in Cgminer.  Maybe at most a USB driver installation.  Nothing like setting up a GPU and clocking it.  ;-)

Anybody in here know who this is? I found this interesting,,,ships september 9th,,,,hmmm? notice the speed based on 350 m/h per chip,,,so how can this be? Surely its not Knightlife? lol,,,you live in the bay area,,,,who ever it is,,,it looks pretty cool,,,,but I would like to see a video of it hashing at 22 g/hash first! before i Bid on it... sounds familiar huh?  Cheesy

I am usually the last person to yell SCAM,  but I would never trust anyone on ebay with ZERO feedback. Especially with big $$$$$ items.  The case appears as if its rendered, the rest just stock product art. So I doubt it even exists yet. Grin
227  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 02, 2013, 02:56:43 AM
Are these things going to come with any instructions on how to get them running with CGMiner and such?

From the website:
Quote
Comes with software for Windows/Mac/Linux (runs with cgminer).
I assume that means that cgminer included with the kit will already be verified to work with the boards.
Most likely plug and play.

all figures are default, just as the BFL, for equal comparison, with the exception of september start time

Except you have difficulty increase per month at 46% for KnC and  62% for BFL!! Not really an "Equal" comparison.
230  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: BFL ROI FIGURES on: July 29, 2013, 04:23:23 PM
Yeah, I know.   Shame on me I believed the two months until shipping promise.  ;-(
Only been waiting since this April, I can't fathom the patience of those who have had thousands of $$$$$ tied up in Mini-rig orders since last year!!!

I don't know how his pool server is coded, but maybe he should block miners trying to connect with difficulty <32.

If we find a block now, I don't think anyone will get a payout, other than TX fee payouts for the block finder and the pool.

234  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [500 GH/s]HHTT -Selected Diff/Stratum/PPLNS/Paid Stales/High Availability/Tor on: July 27, 2013, 02:39:54 AM

Sure, but what's the pool fee @ diff 1? Infinite?

Here's another mystery sucker. Started mining in the last day or two, again diff 1 shares at avalon rate. After a while, trying to look at his individual stats began to induce a web server error. Like it still does now.

Hmm, some nefarious activity maybe?  They are trying to flood his pool database?
235  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [500 GH/s]HHTT -Selected Diff/Stratum/PPLNS/Paid Stales/High Availability/Tor on: July 27, 2013, 02:32:42 AM

Here's another mystery. Why would someone with the hash rate of an avalon purposely request diff 1 shares only?

Check this sucker:

LOL  Maybe they like paying extra pool fees. ;-)
I am sure Fireduck would love to see his -800 btc Deficit reduced some more.   Grin
236  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [500 GH/s]HHTT -Selected Diff/Stratum/PPLNS/Paid Stales/High Availability/Tor on: July 27, 2013, 02:28:52 AM
Odd, I was checking on my miners and my PPLNS is 0.   Huh

Happened in the last hour. Everyone's PPLNS share has gone to zero.

Oh yeah Thanks , I see that now when I looked at the main webpage.  I hope we don't find a block before it's fixed.  ;-)
237  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [500 GH/s]HHTT -Selected Diff/Stratum/PPLNS/Paid Stales/High Availability/Tor on: July 27, 2013, 02:25:09 AM
Odd, I was checking on my miners and my PPLNS is 0, but my Hash rate has been constant all month.   Huh

I am in for 4

239  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales now open on: July 25, 2013, 04:18:53 PM
What if you don't have 16 boards but only 8? You should be able to overclock 8 of them and be ok with a 30A regulator. 12V * 30A = 360W, which is enough for 8 boards running at 35W a piece.

Plus you'd have the additional space between the boards to add a heatsink and still have decent airflow.

I can't wait until someone gets one of the 25 GH/s August megabigpower kits and sees if it can be overclocked to 40.

the m-board has to be populated in order, you can't skip any slots.  This means that you won't be able to put any heat sinks on a 1/2 populated board that you couldn't put on a fully populated board.

Hmmm M-Board riser cables?  Grin

Its not looking good , HHTT is such an awesome pool too. I hope things get better.

It had to happen, from time to time each and every pool has some long and unlucky period. I fear a lot more the fact that HHTT is not growing, we need to grow at least as much as difficulty grows.

Let's hope that the third batch of Avalons gives us at least one more TH/s.

spiccioli.
I am planning to add a lot more Hash power if I ever get my BFL order( HA!). Or my Bit Fury arrives on time in August.  But until then my GPU's are looking mighty weak these days. MIght have to shut them down completely after next difficulty.  Barely eeking out a profit. Sad
