221  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: November 19, 2013, 12:17:20 AM
I am literally praying to God that we start hashing/selling enough to produce 0.5-1.5 BTC in dividends for me for the rest of my natural life.

With bitcoin shooting up towards $1000 and the moon, I will be set.  Or, I will be absolutely devestated thinking about the 120 BTC I invested in this company.

Go Ken go!!
222  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] btcQuick - Bitcoin Sales Service on: November 18, 2013, 05:03:18 AM
Oh so you have sold hundreds of thousands of shares to investors AND sold hundreds of bitcoins at a 7% mark-up, and you still can't manage to come up with the money to buy more bitcoins?

It's pretty simple: you sell bitcoins to people for (bitcoin price + 7%) and you take that and immediately buy more bitcoins for (bitcoin price + 0% from whatever source necessary) and then you sell THAT for (bitcoin price + 7%).

That is literally the sole function of btcQuick.  There is nothing else.

How about you lose the Woe Is Me attitude and start treating your investors with some candid, professional transparency?

And fix those fucking typos on the website (fee's and bitcoin's) - WHY IS THAT SO HARD?!

The proposed CipherTrade exchange seems good to me

DISCLAIMER: I am long CipherMine

Great info, thanks dex.

Very cool news about the CipherTrade exchange plan, this sounds very promising.
225  Economy / Securities / Re: Is Poker by Proxy too good to be true? on: November 17, 2013, 12:18:04 AM
The concept of staking pro poker players is decades old.  There's nothing inherently impossible about the high daily profits.

Like every bitcoin deal though, there's always the chance of a scam.

Interesting idea though.  I know some of these online poker guys consistently make bank.
226  Economy / Economics / Re: Hedge against BitCoin collapse on: November 15, 2013, 11:33:51 PM
You can hedge against bitcoin on Predictious.com.  Simply bet against bitcoin exceeding X dollar amount by X date.

Any plans for individual player performance bets to be added as an option?

Calvin Johnson to have +/- 117 yards
Marshawn Lynch to score 1 or more touchdowns
etc

That would be irresistable to bet on.
228  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] btcQuick - Bitcoin Sales Service on: November 15, 2013, 07:15:54 PM
btcQuick with a big fat 0 bitcoins available for sale again.

Man oh man...
229  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: November 15, 2013, 05:51:41 PM
You really think ActiveMining will never get 3%?

I don't think so, no. I still believe it is possible, but I don't expect to ever get all coins I threw at ActM back. I never held a large position, so I don't really care though, some of my other bitcoin gambles have worked out better.

Seriously, you need to close this thread and stop looking at ActM-news constantly, you do yourself no favor.

I disagree with your view simply because I believe that ActM shareprice will reach an all time high before Christmas.

Not that we'd be able to sell at that point (transfered to AMC-TENDER) but that would be gratifying nonetheless.

I have tried purchasing bitcoins using btcQuick several times in the last couple of weeks, and even when they do have bitcoins available, it doesn't work.

Has anyone recently successfully purchased bitcoins from btcQuick?

The error may be the Google Checkout thing.

EDIT: I finally got it to work this morning, picked up 0.5 BTC.
231  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] CIPHERMINE-PT - Industrial Mining & High Performance Computing on: November 14, 2013, 04:30:44 PM
Dex, could you give us your opinion of where CipherMine will be in 6 months?

On a scale of 1 to 10, where are we right now in terms of our mining capacity vs where we want to be when all of our rigs that have bee pre-ordered are online and hashing away?

No one knows about the order for sure. Pure conjecture.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Lol price on BF right now is 0.0015. Up 3x in last few days.

Admittedly it's low volume, thin market, but I really don't think we will see price hanging around when we get live again and we are shipping and hashing. It will go above previous all time highs and if everyone is holding for the divs there will be a low supply meaning it will be a sellers market.

Thanks, I needed some positive news.
234  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: November 08, 2013, 06:24:29 PM
Selling your coins now if you could might be a big mistake. I prefer a few coins every month as dividend while keeping my shares. Not sure what BTC could be worth after 6 months but I bet it is a lot more then now.

Well that's how this whole thing was SUPPOSED to work, but it hasn't exactly turned out that way...

I just pray that in 6 months this will all be a distant memory, as our 0.01 BTC shares are pumping out a consistent supply of healthy dividends, and bitcoin itself is at $1000.

Is that too much ask?!   Cheesy
235  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: November 08, 2013, 05:54:29 PM
All I know is it is pissing me off seeing BTC triple in value when a huge % of my bitcoin is tied up in this company and no machines are being produced AND there's no hope of share value recouping for the foreseeable future.
236  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] btcQuick - Bitcoin Sales Service on: November 08, 2013, 05:44:18 PM
Wow, I'm done.

I have 17,990 shares.  PM me a serious offer and I'll transfer you my shares on bitfunder.  I never want to deal with this company again.
237  Economy / Goods / Re: Selling CUBAN CIGARS Full Boxes and Individual Cigars FOR SALE on: November 07, 2013, 11:36:24 PM
I received my box of Cohiba Secretos - GORGEOUS!

Product was exactly as described (box of 10 + 1 bonus), and included the nice touch of adding some portable humidor packets.

He must have shipped it the day I ordered because it got around the world very quickly.

I would certainly work with this seller again on future cuban cigar purchases!
238  Economy / Securities / Re: [Bit Funder] [btcquick] [Rising profits] on: November 07, 2013, 11:27:56 PM
What a shame this turned out to be. There are always warning signs though, which in this case, involved an obvious avoidance of uncomfortable questions in this very thread.

I have now learned through experience here that no news is usually bad news.

I would say that if your bitcoin-purchasing company can't make money during an enormous bull market, then - yes - it's bad news.
239  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] CIPHERMINE-PT - Industrial Mining & High Performance Computing on: November 07, 2013, 04:25:39 PM
Thanks!  Litecoin doubling this week can only be good for CipherMine shareholders!
240  Economy / Securities / Re: [Bit Funder] [btcquick] [Rising profits] on: November 06, 2013, 06:51:44 PM
Btcquick said they got bitcoin available 30 minutes ago on tweet. The operation seems OK. We need to wait for the dividends. But I think this time dividends won't be good because of the raising of Bitcoin.

Anyway, the operation is good, we are all good.

Dividends will not be posted for October as we were in the red, more info on this will announced shortly.

You're - WE'RE - in the red because you have failed to have any of your ONLY PRODUCT in stock during the time when everybody wants it the most.

Not only are you costing us money right now, but you've no doubt lost countess potential customers in the future with your embarrassing "0 Bitcoins Available" posting.

If I could cash out - even down 95% - I would.

Investing in btcQuick is probably the worst financial decision I have made to date.
