221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who works in crypto industry? on: February 19, 2018, 02:25:25 PM
I keep myself busy with my store ever since I retired from being a company accountant fifteen years ago.  However,  I also practice as a freelance accountant during tax season.  Currently, I am part of TND signature bounty campaign and I spend two to three hours everyday to accomplish my task.  I love the rewards that I get from being a bounty campaigner.  I could not let a day pass now without reading news about crypto.  It mesmerize me to be part of the crypto world and working as a bounty is truly rewarding.
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins on: February 18, 2018, 01:48:45 PM
Altcoins are created for certain projects for the purpose of gathering funds and promoting the projects in the form of airdrops.  Altcoins are digital currencies as an alternative to bitcoin.  The most common are ether, ripple, zcash, monero and dash, to name just a few.  It is risky to invest  in newly created altcoins because they have a possibility that it might burn if it did not reach its minimum cap to be listed in an exchange.
223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which ICO would you suggest for February and March? on: February 18, 2018, 01:32:48 PM

224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Top 5 of exchange platforms on: February 16, 2018, 01:18:11 PM
The following are the top 5 platforms convenient to me:
1.  Etherdelta-this is where I trade my ERC20 tokens
2.  Cryptopia - I use this exchange whenever I trade ETH below .5 in value to BTC
3.  Poloniex - trading above .5 ETH to BTC
4.  Yobit - other tokens for ETH
5.  Binance - for tokens not found in other exchanges.

225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your favorite way to cash out? on: February 15, 2018, 05:06:13 AM
When I was starting, I asked a friend of my son to withdraw my cash.  Then I open a local wallet that can convert my bitcoin into cash.  I started learning trading by playing with my airdrop tokens until I finally acquired first hand knowledge in exchanges and how to convert my coins into local currency.  In withdrawing cash from my wallet, I used whatever withdrawal outlet that my wallet legally allows locally so I will not have a problem in the future.
226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do i sell my altcoins? on: February 15, 2018, 04:46:00 AM
There are so many options where to sell your altcoin.  If your coin is listed in coinmarketcap, then it is easier to choose where to sell them at best price because they provide the market exchanges where you can trade a specific coin.  Altcoin that are ERC20 compatible is best trade at etherdelta.  However, there are coins that are listed in other exchanges not in etherdelta. But it is better to keep following individually your altcoin in social media accounts whether to sell them or not and always keep abreast with altcoin news.
227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH Token to Real Money on: February 14, 2018, 06:09:25 AM
Altcoins are usually trade at Etherdelta to convert to ETH. (Details on deposit and withdrawal in Etherdelta can be viewed in Youtube) Once an ETH it can be trade in so many sites but I prefer Cryptopia and Poloniex. This is the steps I made when I first learn how to trade. First try to know what kind of Bitcoin wallet is accepted in your locality and in exchanges. Register to create the kind of wallet that converts Bitcoin into cash. (Take note:  Bitcoin is widely acceptable than ETH).  Trade your ETH in cryptopia if it is less than .5 and if more than .5 then in Poloniex.  Make sure that you deposit your ETH to the correct wallet in exchanges.  Of course, ETH to ETH wallet.  When depositing your ETH, do not deposit all but leave at least .007 for gas or transaction fees in your MEW (I use myetherwallet).  Then convert ETH to Bitcoin so you can transfer it to your local wallet and exchange for cash.
228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange or Wallet? on: February 14, 2018, 05:40:07 AM
In my own experience, I rather keep part of my token in an exchange and keep the remaining portion in my wallet.  Token that has the potential to earn for that particular period are keep in the exchange so that whenever the best price is offer I could easily sell it.  Prices are too volatile so I have to keep watch and there are altcoins that hype its price on a certain period of hour only.  However, I only keep my coins in reputable exchange that enables a 2FA authentication for security access.
229  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are the basics of trading? on: February 13, 2018, 02:53:11 AM
Learning trading in the cryptoworld is a slow and gradual process.  My first hand experience is having a problem on how to deposit my token in the exchange.  I started airdrop to have tokens in my wallet but later found out that I need eth to make a transaction.  I never wanted to ask ETH  from my friends neither I wanted to use my own money to buy.  I surf online to find legal means to have ETH...mine, join eth airdrops until finally I was able to have .002 ETH in my wallet.  I know it takes patience and dedication but I am now able to deposit a token and make a trading transaction.  First hand experience is truly satisfying when I can now withdraw money from my local wallet.  I now understand why there is a jumpstart error that eats my .001 ETH in the form of gwei and how I can hasten the completion of my transaction to prevent such error.  Currently,  I am trying to learn trading in ICO through its token sale and at the same time gathering information on how I can protect my amassed wealth through successful investment in ICO's.  BASICALLY TRADING IS LEARNING SLOWLY BUT SURELY WITH DEDICATION AND PERSEVERANCE TO ACHIEVE MASTERY.
230  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can buy some altcoin?? on: February 13, 2018, 12:33:57 AM
The first step in buying altcoin is to create a wallet first.  MEW (Myetherwallet) is one of the most popular wallet because it is ERC20 compatible.  Once your wallet is set up then you can buy in exchanges like Etherdelta, Yobit, Cryptopia ...you can also buy in token sale of ICO's.  Do not forget to prepare your national issued ID because you have to fill up a KYC form.  Make sure that your country is not listed in the list of banned countries.  Sometimes buying in ICO is better than exchanges because they provide bonuses for your purchase.  Remember that investment is always a risk.  Always do a background check on the altcoin that you are going to buy but intuition can also help in finding a good buy.

232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you selling your altcoins so soon? on: February 12, 2018, 07:30:02 AM
I usually sell my altoin if the price is making a rapid dip.  I have a fear that the rapid downward trend might be cause by an internal problem within the project.  Another reason is when I have seen other opportunities in other altcoins that could give me a higher return on investment.  And lastly, when I needed money for an emergency expenditure.
233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Spreadsheet on: February 10, 2018, 11:53:43 AM
Spreadsheet are important in monitoring your accredited activity in a bounty.  The link is usually found in the Bounty thread.  Spreadsheet are categorized according to the type of bounty offered by the Bounty lord.  The names of those who applied for the bounty can be viewed and the status of acceptance is also shown.  In the spreadsheet, you can also view the weekly status.  Take note that the start and end date for the week is very important because you have to count the required number of posts for the particular week to gain a reward point.
234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A lot of newbies buying the wrong coin. Be carefull! on: February 09, 2018, 04:02:32 AM
Everyone of us pass the stage of being a newbie.  We always learn through our mistakes that make us stronger and knowledgeable.  Even how much I read and be conservative in my choices of buying coins, I always found out new problems that lead me to wrong speculations.  You have your own evaluation and I know some people will appreciate that but the crypt world is very complicated.  It is good to be always on the safe side but sometimes we have to take a chance because finding good investment is always a risk.
235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can world Government Kill Crypto? on: February 09, 2018, 03:50:00 AM
The world government can not kill crypto because a lot of people cannot live without using their mobile, laptop or pc to access the digital world where the crypto come from.  True they can just make regulations to curtail some activities but they cannot do away with the fact that communication is faster now and transaction hashes are created whenever they do business in the internet.  This is just an era where physical war is not eminent now but a battle between giants who wants to capture a larger share of the crypto world.  Take China for example, they wanted to create a token that could defeat the bitcoin.  Killing the crypto? I do not think so.
236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TOKEN TO ETH on: February 09, 2018, 03:32:23 AM
You don't have to change all your token to eth.  There are tokens that increase in price value and are potential investments in the future.  It is also good to change some tokens to ETH when you feel that the value of such continue to dip.  I prefer to accumulate ETH in my wallet until the amount reaches to more than .5 because I can trade them in poloniex and easily transfer my BTC to my coin wallet.  It is always safer to follow the rule of economics (law of supply and demand) when holding a token.
237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What we need to check before investing in ico? on: February 08, 2018, 07:06:34 AM
A well defined checklist as I look at it.  Truly investing in ICO is not an easy decision because our mind is always set to protect, preserve and gain wealth. I may add that we need to understand the economics of the project and knowing the people behind it.  Checking on their roadmap by focusing on how they are going to allocate their funds.  Try not to be seduce by the possibility of a huge potential pay off.  Try to find out too if they have made a step in making their project be accredited by stable institutions.  And lastly, I love projects that have a heart.
238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A different perspective on KYC for bounties on: February 08, 2018, 06:23:48 AM
Everyone have their own point of view when it comes to KYC.  I am still confused on the term "Know Your Customer" (KYC for short) until now for bounties.  In my own perspective bounties are not customers but advertisers who work for the project.  Maybe this is the cause why many bounties were not able to fill the KYC form.  I hope there will be a change in the name of the form.  However, the content of the form is truly helpful in eliminating cheaters and scammers.  KYC could truly help to curtail the uses of crypt money to terrorism because the person identity is exposed and verified.
239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long do you think will the dip continue for? on: February 07, 2018, 06:28:36 AM
It is known that there are business organizations and countries that stopped accepting bitcoins or cryptocurrencies which lead to the downfall in its price.  However, I think these institutions will later think twice since we live in a digital world that needs digital currency.  The fall of the price in bitcoin is just equivalent to the first month of the last quarter of last year and will dip a little more but will start to climb in the first month of the second quarter of this year.  Take note too that bitcoin circulation must not be more than 21 million and it has at the moment reach 17 million.  Taking into account the law on supply and demand, it is not possible that bitcoin price will climb again in the near future.
240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I can't withdraw my ETH on EtherDelta on: February 07, 2018, 05:11:28 AM
Non-withdrawal of token deposited in Etherdelta sometimes has many reasons.  Have you check your MEW balance after a transaction? Everytime we make a deposit in etherdelta there is an equivalent transaction fee or gas deducted from MEW.  Sometimes there are jumpstart error that deduct a lot of gwei also.  And sending transaction with a higher gas may eventually lead to a failure because there is not enough ETH in your MEW.  Visit this link for sending a transaction at a safe low gas price: https://medium.com/@ethgasstation/the-safe-low-gas-price-fb44fdc85b91
