50,000,000 NEX has been issued in the Nxt Asset Exchange.

Asset Id:  4420962345269767688

Please send PM from the account you signified in your original pledge.

Please wait for a confirmation message as to the amount of NEX you will be allowed to purchase.

Any NEX that have not been purchased through this method will be offered to participants in the waiting list and on the open market.

Thank you.

How many total NEX coins are there?

edit: where is the stakeholder list? I know nothing about this NEX coin ... very mysterious

The original pledges can be found here:  https://docs.google.com/a/codeaudit.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AhwgzhIO_YCedEM4Tld4V05JRXh5Z09ZZS1KR2JYa0E#gid=0

Only those in the original list can invest at this time.

Is that the only stakeholder list, people swapping NXT for NEX? Was/is there any other way to get NEX, other than buying them?

Yes, others who have expressed interest via BTT, FB, Twitter will all be entitled to some NEX.

In this article http://cointelegraph.com/news/112327/litecoin-is-dying-fact-or-fud

Joakim Herlin (CMO, Goobit/BTCX) says:

"I think that the pro’s of Litecoin over Bitcoin is not big enough to make it a serious contender and give Litecoin serious longevity.....
Altcoins as a phenomenon though, I think, definitely has a future but an altcoin needs to offer something special...distinguishing itself in some way, technically or otherwise."

End of mining, similarity to Bitcoin, strong hash-power, more equal distribution, affordable price, these are not special features in itself.

iXcoin needs to distinguish itself in some way, with something "special" and useful. And this is not necessarily to be technical.

Yes, it can be done with the counterparty proposal that I have put forward.   However, it cannot be implemented unless the 0.9.2 version of the software gets installed with the miners.

That is single most important goal right now,   installation of 0.9.2 with GHash.IO.

There is of course still the issue of the zero block reward that I am hoping that GHash.IO addresses.   I recommend a 1% inflation rate, that is 1 IXC block reward.

At this time, it is all *very* high risk.   If GHash.IO doesn't act in favor of IXC, then IXC is dead.

i highly doubt 'satoshi' whoever they (since I think a team responsible for the original source code) or he /she is would get doxed like this, no chance

just some lame scammers trying to hustle btc and make a splash, the blockchain runs on faster every day

Theory is that Satoshi is dead.

Hal Finney released bitcoin using Satoshi Nakamoto's name.

An attempt to obfuscate that he, hal finney created bitcoin,
and he even sent the first transaction to himself, making it look as though 'satoshi' sent it to him. Smiley

Theory: Hal Finney Created Bitcoin
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=769004

'Satoshi's' email address compromised/hacked shortly after Hal Finney died. Timing is suspicious
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=775174

If Hal Finney is indeed Satoshi, then how is it that the hacker who hacked Satoshis gmx email account able to negotiate with Satoshi?

Hal Finney is a highly likely suspect though and it is possible that this gmx hack is a complete ruse.

LTC in my opinion is pretty much dead. The entire reason for LTC was a decentralized mining environment where anybody could acquire standard hardware and participate.   Now with scrypt ASIC, that reason is all but gone.

I wouldn't abandon it just yet.

There is serious talk of changing the algo to de-optimize ASIC mining.

~BCX~

Well....  they definitely dropped the ball on that one....  it was pretty clear that ASIC miners were within reach,  they should have made changes before any of them hit the streets.
229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: August 29, 2014, 07:48:02 PM
The price drop has been caused by some members of these community which are moving their cryptosaving mainly to btc, hoping in a imminent boom.

Maybe they are right. Diversify can help you to sleep sweet dreams.

The price dropping to 0,0000011 on Cex.io was an evident manipulation: from 3 cent to 0,2 cent in one day and back again to 2,5-2,6 cent....

For sure iXcoin is a very risky investment, cheap at the same time.

Probably many had the same thought about Bitcoin years ago.

It's nice to see many volunteering in helping us out to get out from IXC asap.

Maybe they are right, or maybe they hope to be right. In order to convince themselves, people tend to repeat the same thing over and over to any person they meet, even when nobody asked about it. They even study the "enemy" so well to know it better of anyone else.

What is sad, cryptos need to support each other, not to fight each other. I like for example the idea of the coming merging of Doge with Ltc. I think they will both benefit from this "cooperation".

With Bitcoin is different: it wanna run alone, ignoring expecially merge mined coins. Why? They fear to lose power. Fear is the greater enemy, not iXcoin.

When I saw the empy seats in Austria and London, well, that makes people fear about their future, not iXcoin. Instead of working unitedly against a rooted system, we spend most of our energies in a useless fight.

If all these coins will ever be banned, included Bitcoin, remember: all because Bitcoin community has ignored the potential support of all the other communities.

Some insight that I agree with.

You definitely need to be selective, diversify and pick potential winners.

Before last November, I was in BTC, LTC, NMC.

I've sold off all my LTC and NMC and am now mostly just BTC and a fraction of Maidsafe.

The market seems to have transitioned from just rudimentary clones (i.e. LTC) to more sophisticated alternatives like Ripple, Stellar, BitsharesX, Ethereum and Maidsafe.   The only Proof of works coins that will survive long term are those in the Bitcoin ecosystem,  NMC, IXC and DVC.   LTC in my opinion is pretty much dead. The entire reason for LTC was a decentralized mining environment where anybody could acquire standard hardware and participate.   Now with scrypt ASIC, that reason is all but gone.

I have about 240,000 IXC on a hard drive some where from back in the day when I routinely forked it. I also have about 60K on another set of flash drives from DS several exchanges back then also. Recently I started going through a bunch of flash drives and found 400K of SC2 across several hundred wallets I setup to attack it on launch day as well pleasantly finding 9500 LTC I totally forgot I had mined during the first few weeks.

Best of luck on IXC but I seriously doubt it is going anywhere.

Theoretically you have about ~10 BTC but selling off that much IXC would be near impossible, so yeah, hold it or sell it slow.

~BCX~

Unreal.  Tripping and finding some lost 9,500 LTC.  Man!!!

I'm breaking myself trying to figure out how to buy some BTC right now.  If someone was very reputable I'd use 100,000 of my IXC as collateral to borrow maybe 3 BTC.  But I don't wanna lose those coins so it would have to be someone who's already rich [like you BCX].  lol.

9500 LTC... that was like $475,000 in its peak.
231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: August 26, 2014, 03:30:01 PM

My guess is Thomas is a big Bitcoin holder and since Bitcoin has risen in price so much since 2011 his get rich iXcoin scheme is no longer important to him.  That would explain why he's only on the iXcoin forum once every few months.  He has no reason to dump iXcoin because he doesn't need the money and wouldn't get much for it anyway.  He keeps paying out bounties because he's following his original plan, just not so aggressively.  That's my take on why he behaves as he does.

I agree.  Anyone who created an alt-coin back in early 2011 surely has enough BTC to not care what happens to IXC.
232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: August 26, 2014, 01:16:03 AM
I know there is a quote or two from the early days around here regarding your mining of ixcoin.

That is true, I do have over 200,000 IXC on an HD somewhere but it is meaningless.

Nakasioto was the original pre-mine scammer and I promised him way back in mid 2011 that no matter when, where or why until he destroyed his 500,000 premine or turned it over to a neutral third party that IXC would never get past me. I keep my promises.

~BCX~

With so many Proof of Stake systems like Ripple, Stellar, Nxt, Bitshares etc....  I'm surprised that people even give a damn that some coins were pre-mined!

Community Members,

I thought it would be nice to have a block explorer with a rich-list. A lot of coins have rich lists but iXCoin never has had one.  It may shed some light on what's going on with some of the long term hoarders and all those NOT redeemed blocks.

I found someone to do the job and he wishes to get paid 2,000 iXCoins.

Does anybody else want to see such an explorer with a rich list and if so, how much would you like to pitch in?

I think it would be a good idea but it has to be something the community needs and wants since there is no current bounty from the premine for one which means we have to pitch in ourselves to pay for it.

Let me know.

Cheers!

Edit:  I also need someone who knows code to test it out and make sure it's legit before I pay for it.  Who wants to volunteer to do that?  I imagine it shouldn't take more than a few minutes if you're experienced.

http://bitinfocharts.com/

Does it for almost every coin.  You might want to ask them.

Just getting code is not enough,  someone needs to host the explorer and that takes time, money and effort.

Contact: bitinfocharts@gmail.com

Hi,

I can create and host the block explorer with rich list.

Can you guys check out the examples at http://blockexperts.com, and let me know if this is what you all want.
I can add some more values, if needed.

Nice clean UI you have.

It would be nice if you implement IXCoin.

Vlad should be able to pay you 2,000 IXC for your efforts.

what is AMT's latest address?

I gather in the absence of a legal address to do business, AMT's lawyer's address will have to do.

Hello. Please add me to the refund list. You guys don't answer my questions in this forum or through email. Thank you. Order 849

Seems like a valid justification for asking for a refund.   If you don't get proper technical support, then of course you should get a refund for the lack of service.

Say you go into a restaurant, you order bacon and eggs,  the server takes you order and says it'll be ready in 15 minutes.   15 minutes later you ask the server for your order and he doesn't respond.   An hour later, the server gives you bacon and eggs, but both aren't cooked!   Surely, that does count for a refund!

I received my miner as well and its hashing great.

The fans are loud.  But the miner is hashing stable.

The rack mount ears are great!!

Was it worth $6,000 you paid for?

I'm still waiting for additional miners to compensate me for the $6,000 I paid for back in December.  It's been 6 months already since the promised ship date of February and I do not have ROI.
238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: August 21, 2014, 07:46:21 PM

This is for coin holders still running Thomas's final client release back in '11...aka: ixcoin-0.3.24.3-win32

Today I got a clean download of the blockchain using that client, and transferred a small amount of coin into it, so it had one transaction.  Backed everything up and proceeded to attempt various upgrades to it.  To my dismay, both ahmed_bodi 9.2 & cinnamon_carter's 8 builds crashed after a short while, never in the same place & I've been looking at logs and tested it a couple of different ways, then decided it wasn't really that important, because when I tried FrictionlessCoin's executable, it worked flawlessly the first time and reindexed all the blocks from disk, right up until today with no problem.  You are left with nearly a 1GB of 'junk' files from the 'old days', but it worked.  Then I applied ahmed_bodi 9.2 executable to those files and it instantly popped up without any re-indexing on disk or any other download, the client was ready to go.  Wallet has the small amount of coin in it, tomorrow I'll do some more testing with sending/receiving, but everything looks good to go, and there is an upgrade path for those of you that haven't checked in for 2 or 3 years.  Credit to FrictionlessCoin for making this possible.

GR

If the new clients crashes using a block chain from an old client you can always just download the whole blockchain again, instead of reindexing.  Then you don't need to use the FrictionlessCoin client.  So it shouldn't be a show stopper.

Actually,  what needs to be verified is if you have a wallet from the old client,  will it work if you copy it to the new client?

Will do just that, thanks for the links cinnamon, I'm sure my understanding of those topics can & will be improved.

Update on my testing, I'll try very hard to be brief...

Interesting,  my guess is that there is something different in the difficulty calculations in the ahmed_bodi executable.

Anyway, still waiting to see when the 9.2 executable gets into the ghash.io miners.... we only have about a month left to go.
240  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: August 18, 2014, 04:21:35 PM

I do not think it is ethical to be designing, building and selling more Bitcoin mining machines when the first customers MPP has not been met yet.  Most of us paid $6,000 and will only get $1,500 (in terms of your own pricing) of that back in the form of hardware. (note: I still have not got mine yet). You said you had 50 Peta hash of cloud hashing, and access to all this new hardware. Another idea would be to put all that hardware in a colocation, or use the cloud hashing to make a wallet that collects all BTC from those operations and distributes it to the group until MPP is met. The MPP was a clear contract written on the website and part of the garentee, I hope you will continue to stand behind what you originally offered and send people what they paid for $6,000 in hardware. I cannot send good money after bad, since I have not met my return on the original investment. Please do not delete this message, it is my opinion and I would like to discuss it openly here in a civilized manner.

Thank You,

Mr. Park

You have cloud hashing in the moment. Your miner should show up today. Thanks.

Hey, how come he has cloud hashing?  What about me?
