Currency is supposed to circulate, not to be hoarded or hidden under the mattress. It's not expected to rise in value.

You people should stop following Mises and Austrian economics. We're no longer in gold standard, you should learn how modern monetary system works before writing nonsense.

Implying we're headed in a good direction

No one uses money as a permanent store of value either

But they do.

If money wasn't a store of value then it would be worthless.

>permanent

Why the fuck not?

I bet you're a cuck too.

My wealth keeps being stolen from me but it's okay because it's supposed to happen!

Nothing is being stolen.  Nothing will be taken from you if you don't use the dollar for stuff it was never intended to do, like trying to use it as a permanent store of value.
You might as well bitch about the $ being a gyp because it makes a lousy pet.
It's not meant to be matress stuffing any more than it's meant to be a pet.
What level of lunacy am I up against here?  Do you complain about milk being a ripoff because it doesn't last for years?

>Nothing is being stolen.

Yes it is, your purchasing power is being stolen due to the influx of the supply, year on year, without fail, and gets exponentially worse.
If you don't understand that then there isn't much hope for you.

>Do you complain about milk being a ripoff because it doesn't last for years?

Nobody uses milk for it's purchasing power, now or future. It's a good that is bought and 'used'.

>What level of lunacy am I up against here?

ditto

229  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 17, 2015, 06:16:38 PM
no? where do you have this from?

"1 BTC purchase may require a paychan of value 0.5 BTC and a paychan of 0.8 BTC, used together."

I'm a 3rd year Mech Eng student, and even this shit is double dutch to me.

Can somebody give me a simplified version of how this will work for the consumer?

So to buy a 2mBTC coffee I'll need at least 3mBTC to insta-transact through bitpay?

Or something like this?

Of cause, anything changed in recent days? nothing, the world is still always not interested in bitcoin,
Exchanges hacked, lost coins, bad pr,10% inflation, etc still happen and getting worse,
So you tell me, why should the price magically goes up while the reasons of the crash remain and getting worse? just because bulltards dream for it?

This question is being asked though all these 10900 pages of the thread. And no has an argument to answer it. Ever.

You can't argue with opinion,

>anything changed in recent days? nothing

I see a million coins being swaped in a day.

>world is still always not interested in bitcoin

I see some pretty rich folk talking about it, maybe they're onto something  Huh

>why should the price magically goes up

Why should it magically goes down?
235  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 16, 2015, 10:59:54 PM
I think most 1k bitcoin + holders don't see new lows possible any more, and a short sell very dangerous (if they've held before 2014)

This'll be a big fight either way, don't expect new lows, or even below 200 for very long without huge volumes.

Anybody with a margin short right now must be crazy.

What is "bullburn"?

Btw. Bulls are Bulls because they are bulls. And if you are a true bull you will stay as a bull forever.

Those short sells must be burning too right? Cool

I want to see some shorts being squeezed

I was promised blood Angry

This could be the beginnings of a great and glorious bullrun.

Selling now seems suicidal
238  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 16, 2015, 05:53:26 PM
Telegraph says

" is this the end of the Bitcoin experiment? Certainly "

Not seen a corker like that since 2011.

Meanwhile bitfinex shoots for the stars, I love it.
239  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 16, 2015, 04:59:29 PM
Could we now please go sub 200 to prepare two-digit prices? Grin

2 digit prices are such a selfish request.

It's almost a one way street, literally nobody will think bitcoin is a good investment if the bubble collapses at a lower rate than when it started, after a full year of VC's and overall pretty good news.

If it does happen though I think I'll double down my investment, but I certainly hope we don't, I'm tired of these smug bears shitting up this thread with their doom and gloom circle jerking.

Tip: Bitcoin is not an investment.
Bitcoin is a digital currency.

Think about Bitcoin as an investment and you will fail.

That "investment" has bought me a new car, motorbike and paid me fees to go to university.

The only fail here is the moronic mentality that we will endlessly spiral lower, it's almost as bad as the bulls who think we go up forever without a correction.

The CCMF postings are no way better.

The CCMF are the dying gasp of a bull that's bean beaten with both ends of the stick for a full year in a row.

I've missed the bull days of 2013, they we're a lot more fun than having a new low every couple of months.
