221  Economy / Economics / Re: Money is never enough! on: June 01, 2023, 06:12:12 PM
Think of when you hit a jackpot, and some cool cash slide into your pocket, you feels better and step up some pride and involved arrogance, you feel like you can buy the world with your peanuts lol, bro, I little shopping out of it can makes you look like a poor man again. There is this oil dealer guy in my community who happen to be hot market pro in the oil industry, he owns an oil well but this guy it gets to his head and start contesting for political power which he has lose twice now and the worst of it now is that the oil well is dried because suck the money into politics, loss everything. This money is never really enough, no wonder even the President of nations still fights to get money after office.
This is true. Money can always satisfy you only upto a certain level after that you only want to reach to the next higher level. When a person doesn't have any money even a little salary is enough for him, but after he starts earning that little salary eventually that'll also not be enough and he'll want more because we humans have that tendency to increase our needs, lifestyle and wants with our increasing salaries.
222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price is always affected by world market news, why ??? on: June 01, 2023, 06:05:23 PM
I have been in the market since 2018. The paradox I find is
The market is always changing according to world news. It has nothing to do with bitcoin
For a small investor like me, this is undesirable
I want to ask experienced investors?? How can you capture this potential market?
Alternatively I feel market is quite on it's own from a long time. I have felt that it's only us who relate every movement of the market with some or the other thing while actually it's moving on it's own. Also in bull run you see every good news giving higher peaks to btc while every bear run you see every bad news giving lower troughs and also somehow no bad news effect markets in that time and similarly no good news effect markets majorly in these bear times.
223  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indian Premier League #IPL on: May 28, 2023, 06:17:16 PM
The game did not start today due to rain. Today's match will be tomorrow. I sat in front of the TV for a long time today to watch the game, unfortunately I could not enjoy today's match. We can fully enjoy tomorrow's match. Today in the match, thousands of spectators went to the field to watch the game but could not enjoy the game.

Its very unfortunate that final game was abandoned today because of rain. I think this is the only game in whole IPL 2023 which is abandoned due to rain. Today is Sunday and most of us are free to watch the game but that will not be the story tomorrow. I have a class tomorrow so wont be able to enjoy the game. The rain stopped but there was still lot of water on the field that's why the officials called it a day.
Even though it's unfortunate however I feel it's fair to have a full game tomorrow than to have a short 5-10 over game. In the spirit of cricket it's always better to have a full game especially when it comes to so important matches, imagine if a team wins today, losing team will always say that the format was unfair to them. Also in this short match almost 60% players from both sides lose their chance of playing or making an impression today. So i think today was a win win for everyone except obviously those fans who won't be able to come tomorrow.
224  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Your favorite season to trade cryptocurrency? on: May 28, 2023, 06:13:40 PM
Cryptocurrency is risky, and while we are aware of the basic requirements that must be in place in order to profit significantly, not all of us are aware of an appropriate season to trade. Most professional traders prefer the bear season, which, in my opinion, is the best period to conduct critical study on crypto projects, uncover ethical road maps, and invest in them for a possible solid future. The bull season is most likely harvest time; we reap what we sow in the market. Which season is better for trading, the bull or the bear?
That's so true, we often see people sowing the seeds in bull seasons and reaping the losses eventually in bear season. It's because they invest due to FOMO and not due to research. The idea is very simple in Crypto market, in bear times you focus only on increasing the BTC count you have and not on the dollar value, in the bull run on the other hand focus to increase on dollar value because many times alts race up faster than btc. But yes, big problem you'll face in these bear times is pretty less volumes which means lesser volatility as well.
225  Economy / Economics / Re: Logic of life on: May 28, 2023, 05:36:57 PM
The logic of life is that you can't earn more than you know,
Any amount you are earning today is 80% as a limit of what you know.

The richest man on earth is earning whatever amount he is earning due to the advantage of  what he knows or  can do.

So, before you can move from earning $100 dollar monthly to $1000 per month,
One of the major thing you must scale up is your knowledge.

So ask yourself, what should I know that can make me ×2 my monthly income?

Seek knowledge always.
To be honest I don't feel knowledge is proportional to the amount you earn. If you see the actually the rich, you would see their value appreciates because of the incremental value they provide and not only due to the knowledge of things. And after a point capital attracts capital, even if you have knowledge that's not suffice you need a huge capex to setup the value adding service or product so obviously this isn't logic of life.
226  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 51% attack on Bitcoin on: May 28, 2023, 05:32:26 PM
Hey guys,

As we know, as long as a majority of CPU power is controlled by nodes that are not cooperating to attack the network, Bitcoin network remains safe.

I was wondering what it would cost to control 51% of the mining hash rate? Is this ever a realistic threat?

Appreciate your answers in advance!

Kind regards,
Papa

It's not realistic. Making a 51% attack also means that sustaining that attack for the time. Only one time 51% attack won't be enough for this. Which means it will take a lot of hardware. By a lot i mean really too much and this will come at a big cost as well and a big logistic center to set up this much computing as well. Until quantum computing kicks in it's not possible and isn't really that much of a threat to bitcoin.
227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The power of digital money on: May 27, 2023, 07:10:39 PM
Before the existence of bitcoin they're many other digital economic assets that is in line with government policies like crude oil, gold and much more, government where comfortable with this assets trading online, including forex but crypto currency like bitcoin that would have change lives and alienates poverty from the world, government are afraid of its cumulative value.

Bitcoin is an assets that we shouldn't lose or allow to dies off, if you check history of all money weather digital or paper bitcoin circulate faster in values and distributions. As highly respected as dollars not all countries have it but bitcoin is 14 years now, the world is aware of it. Do you think bitcoin will stay if government totally remove their hands or stand against it?
How crude oil, Gold etc. are "digital" economic asset? These are physical assets isn't it? Bitcoin is a digital asset, even digital fiat in form of any bank account can't be considered a digital currency as per me.
228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indian Premier League #IPL on: May 27, 2023, 07:06:45 PM
THE BIG FINAL
The final for Indian Premier League will be played between Gujarat Titans and Chennai super kings tomorrow. These are the two strongest teams who will be playing the final as they ended up at the top even in the regular matches.
It will be really interesting match as both team are well balanced also both have experience of playing finals, no doubt Gujrat were the champion of last year but during this match experienced genius Captain will face the young talent player team, as both team has advantage of Thier own, but victory of this final match will depend on current day performance.
It's true that Gujrat are elected favorite but Dhoni will not allow them an easy win it will be tough nail biting trilling match.
So let see who get the trophy home , an experienced  Captain or team of talented boys.
I am on GT's side again, even though they lost in the qualifier 1, I think with the change in venue to Ahmedabad which is home ground for GT, chances of GT are much better now, i think toss will also be a big deciding factor team batting second will naturally have lesser chances of winning because of the pressure you have in a final. Also after Gill"s century in previous match as well i think he has the capability to win the match on his own only.
229  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Ultimate Scalping Indicator on: May 27, 2023, 06:48:39 PM
I have created the holy grail of scalping indicators

To boost my bankroll I will sell it. This will be a limited time offer

Yellow = Warning (incoming trade)
Orange = Increased probability on setup
Green/ Red = Confirmation

Stop 1 pip below l lowest point marked yellow
Target Opposite Bollinger

$1000 in BTC and I send the code

Works on 2 and 3 min timeframe (80%+ win rate)
Works on 1 min (60%+ win rate)

Any questions?
Any periods you want the screenshot of indicator in action?
Do you think that manually scalping is a successful technique? I feel only robotic scalping can be a successful technique. Manually one doesn't even have the patience to wait for the correct trades or even after entering into the correct trades one doesn't have the patience to exit the trades in the right manner. I think this strategy that you just gave is much more practical in bot trading.
230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Adoption Campaign on: May 27, 2023, 04:56:27 PM
In order to promote and introduce Bitcoin to new potential adopters, I've decided to make a little investment in something physical, pretty and useful that could inspire people trying to invest in Bitcoin. The proposal is simple: many still deal with paper money everyday, and from daily negotiations there is always a coins change left, which can be put inside a piggy bank.

So I offer them small Bitcoin piggy banks where they can deposit their coins. Once they accumulate some dollars, they can acquire their first sum of satoshis, finally starting their investments for real. It's also an interesting concept for children to save their daily changes and invest in BTC later, thinking on their future.

Hahah. A very smart idea i would say to instate the feeling of savings in people and invest in bitcoin. People would save their fiat and after sometime invest it in bitcoin. Also this can be the money people can just set aside out of their daily pockets for just this purpose. This will be the money you'll not be afraid to lose as well. So yes a very good idea from you indeed.
231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indian Premier League #IPL on: May 26, 2023, 07:32:50 PM
Mumbai Indians are now batting in the second innings to qualify for the final match. Mumbai Indians batting disaster at the beginning of the batting. Mumbai Indians have lost three wickets and scored 72 runs in 6 overs so far.  Rohit Sharma played a shameful game in this match. Such a performance from Rohit Sharma is not at all expected in such an important match. However, Mumbai Indians still have seven wickets to spare. I would say the rest of the players need to be very aware. However, in this match, the balls of Gujarat Titans team bowlers are very strong. They are also in good form in bowling. Now let's see what happens at the end of the game
I knew after the first innings, that 3 players from whom you can expect chasing this Target are 1. SKY 2. Tim David 3. T Varma , apart from these 3 it's hard to expect this chase from anyone in MI seeing their current forms even if it's Rohit or Kishan. Green And Varma did their job i would say, SKY is doing his and I hope Tim David completes his responsibility as well after this, they are going good i would say so not an impossible task until SKY is there.

After 15 overs, Mumbai collected 156 runs. Mumbai needs 78 runs from 30 balls to win. It is very difficult. Mumbai's two openers are not playing well. Rohit Sharma scored 8 and Nehal scored only 4 runs. Tilak Varma and Suryakumar's innings helped Mumbai reduce the run gap. Suryakumar scored 61 runs and Tilak scored 43 runs off just 14 balls. Had Rohit and Green played well, the match would have been more competitive.
To be honest I don't blame MI today, it's never an easy job to chase 200+ In a do or die game. It's a rarity that such things happen. SKY and Tilak tried their best but obviously not enough to win the game. But I think there was just one hero of the match. The Prince Shubham Gill, had he not batted so well GT might have reached only till 190-200 and honestly that would have been an easy to chase target for MI if you look at their batting today. But anyways now once again let's see will GT win the title 2nd time consecutively pr CSK take it once again.

For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance - Matthew 13:12 NKJV

I am not an economist or business expert, but I have observed that the quoted text from the Holy book holds true in real life. An example of this is Elon Musk. He possesses substantial wealth, investors, and other resources, yet the US government continues to provide funding for his companies, SpaceX and Tesla, while smaller struggling companies with limited funds receive little to no support. In fact, once the government becomes aware of your significant wealth, they tend to offer grants, subsidies, and even tax credits just as what Elon Musk's companies are enjoying. On the other hand, there are other individuals who run similar businesses but have limited financial resources and receive no government assistance. Why does this discrepancy exist? Can someone help me understand this statement from an economic standpoint?

I think bigger companies will always enjoy these benefits from government and there are multiple reason for this, first reason is that these big companies give big funding to Political parties which obviously helps them run their day to day affairs and election campaigns, then these major companies promise employement generation at a massive level through their factories so government can display that they have created so many jobs in their tenure. So it's basically a game of tit for tat. People who have something already also have the capability to offer things to someone else therefore continue getting incentives.
234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: journey to financial freedom on: May 26, 2023, 04:36:35 PM
In January 2009 after the release of Bitcoin, the journey to financial freedom begun, i believe this is the right platform for me to learn more about bitcoin, though Bitcoin is 14 years old now, hope i'm not too late to join the bus?
I think it's always better to enter when the price is down, seeing this way you are in at the correct time only. Imagine if you would have entered at top of 69k you would be crying right now and cursing bitcoin for taking away your hard earned savings. This point is still better to enter because price has the capacity to go north in coming future, no one knows when but we all know for sure it will go.
235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indian Premier League #IPL on: May 25, 2023, 07:42:25 PM
What a shitshow from LSG!

I mean really what was in the mind of Lucknow Super Giants? They are playing a playoff game and they are all out on 101 runs when they need to chase 180+ runs. I can understand that winning and losing is a part and parcel of the game but losing a match in this one-sided game is simply not affordable.

I was disappointed to see this type of performance by them and also I am sure many people around the world would be disappointed as we expect to see close matches in the final games of the tournaments.
I think you got to give it to MI, they scored 180 on a pitch where average first innings total was 140, then you see almost no dew in the second innings which means bowlers will get complete advantage from the pitch as well. I feel somehow chasing a target way above the average score in a eliminator automatically gives you that extra pressure, I'll always suggest any team to play in the first innings in knockout matches unless you are very confident about your chasers like you have someone like Kohli chasemaster.
236  Local / India / Re: Why Indians are the second biggest buyer of Meme Coins? on: May 25, 2023, 07:32:30 PM
I think Indians are always at the top when it comes to get rich quick schemes. For us in a country with population of 1.3 billion, low literacy and limited incomes in households, getting rich quick is the only way to fulfill your dreams. Also the power of hearsay is very strong in India as well. So due to both these things, what happens is you end up having a huge population which constantly wants new ideas to get rich quick. Shitcoins especially memecoins is a gateway to that so it was obvious India is so ahead in the league.
237  Local / India / Re: 30% TDS on online gaming on: May 25, 2023, 07:29:20 PM
No you are confusing GST with Direct Income tax. The Income tax on winnings from any type of game comes under winning from lotteries board games etc. No matter if it's a skilled game or an unskilled one. TDS is being implemented on this type of incomes in digital space. GST reduction on the other hand would mean the fees that you'll pay while purchasing these games will become cheaper as the GST rate on it would fall.

Thanks for clearing my confusion, in the end my conclusion is that whatever you do the government wants to tax you. We still are not getting taxed for breathing  Grin. May be in the future it might be happen  Wink.

Hahaha, that might be a pretty dark future if you imagine it. But even if you see today we are already paying a hell lot of tax. You might have seen that car example, first you pay income tax when you earn the money to buy the car, then you'll pay GST and cess on the car, then you'll pay Road tax on the car, then you'll pay toll tax if you travel outside the city using highway, then you'll pay hefty excise duty on Petrol diesel used in the car, after all this don't forget wearing seat belt or be ready to pay another tax in form of fine to the government.
238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: STAGNATION OF BITCOIN PRICE FOR WEEKS on: May 25, 2023, 07:22:51 PM
Bitcoin's price holds steady near $27,000 as investors consider debt ceiling developments. CoinDesk's former head of research writes that with much government efforts in such large, emerging countries as PAKISTAN and NIGERIA to curb crypto activity, citizens there seem to be turning to digital assets as a hedge.
The most valuable cryptocurrency in terms of market value (BTC) was currently trading at around $26,866, up 0.4%. According to CoinDesk data, BTC has been trading between $26,500 and $27,500 for nearly two weeks due to macroeconomic uncertainty. Crypto traders are uncertain as to how Bitcoin will behave over the next few days, weeks or even months.
The probability of default is quite low, but if it does, it might feel like a blow to risk appetite, sending cryptos sharply lower.
Bitcoin is content to trade towards the bottom of its previous trading range of $26,500 to $30,000.
Currently it's trading at $26,784.00.
Invest what you can afford to lose, it's good to hodl BTC if you can afford to lose what you intend to invest or what you invested 🌝
The last line is pretty much correct. Only invest in BTC the amount you can afford to lose, if you'll invest amount more than that the market fluctuations will always keep your head stuck in this mess. Even though it's too low right now from the all time high, so obviously it'll move high in coming months, yet if it falls even 50% from current point before moving up you'll hastily take a wrong decision and end up losing money.
239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indian Premier League #IPL on: May 21, 2023, 06:49:44 PM
What a match it was. Mumbai just nailed it. SRH was in a good position when they were batting. I thought they will score 230 plus. They lose their first wicket in the 14th over. Still, they had a chance to score more runs. Both openers played well but it wasn't enough to defend Mumbai Indians. Akash Madhwal got four wickets. Cameron Green was outstanding with the bat. More than two hundred strike rates played a crucial role in this important match. Moreover, he bowled one over and conceded only two runs. Well deserved Player of the Match! Congratulations Mumbai for qualifying for the semi-finals.
Mumbai Indians teams are definitely strong from both bowling and batting sides. Due to which they chased 200 runs for only 2 wickets. It goes without saying that their team is a power house. After falling Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma's wickets, Cameron Green and Suryakumar Yadav went unbeaten to secure the match by win as well as their place in the top 4. If Royal Challengers Bangalore lose then Mumbai Indians will have no more hurdles.
So now officially Royal Challengers Bangalore are out of IPL season 2023 , gujrat titans infant Shubman Gill batting was outclass 104 runs lead to their victory.
RCB were good  with bat but balling wise they couldn't stop runs and take wickets .
Another year, same fate. Honestly you got to feel bad for Virat Kohli. He did his best to make this match a win fo RCB but as usual chokers showed how can you choke in every season. Everything, right from the coach, the captain, all of the players have changed except obviously Kohli yet they are never able to be the best team of tournament. This season the story was simple for them. Faf and VK will score runs rest are their to just lose wickets. Then Leave 4 overs of Siraj, other teams will score runs in remaining 16 overs itself.
240  Local / India / Re: 30% TDS on online gaming on: May 21, 2023, 06:02:23 PM
I am not sure whether it has been implemented or not but for skilled online gaming, the government had proposed a reduction. From 30 percent it was proposed to 18 percent. As I am not into any kind of online gaming I do not understand what it meant by skilled gaming.

Quote

This news came out last month. The thing is that government does not believe that cryptocurrency does not require any skills. That is why we are still in the highest tax bracket.
