I'm sure this was mentioned in this thread but, people work and have to be paid for the work they do. I don't see that happening in bitcoins anytime soon so i don't think fiat will disappear unless something drastic happens.
What drastic action would be needed? Are we talking nuke wars, are we talking about red light district hoes taking bitcoin as a form of payment. Speak up dude because im trying to understand what you're saying but Im having problems. Just so you know there are already companies that specialize in bitcoin payroll accounting and overstock even pays their employees in bitcoin if the employee chooses to get paid in Bitcoin. I don't even see a beta 1 and you're talking about beta 2. When will beta one be out for public use. Beta 1 will be up within the next 2 days at most. Beta 2 will be reliant on user feedback and testing. Our goal is Beta 2 will be online a week after Beta 1.
The core difference between Beta1 and Beta2 is that we will be allowing users to start submitting new content for the site. For that to work we need to first write the shell of the bounty system to handle submitting and reviewing new media, account permissions and of course tracking who released what so they can receive their bounties after the ICO ends. The search, rating and tagging systems are already in our internal version of the site but will also need full testing when moved into the new structure of the website. During this period it is worth mentioning that submissions will be set to invite + investors only to avoid the site being spammed with fake content. We will likely hand out invites to people from the thread who want to validate functionality as well but they are intended to start onboarding existing release groups from other torrent sites to get them familiar with our systems.
We are doing our final testing of beta 1 this afternoon. Assuming there are no critical issues it will be online for testing this evening. At the very latest it should be online tomorrow. Beta 2 is planned for ~ 1 week later as it will let us track user reports and make adjustments to the site before allowing users to flood it with custom content. Dont you feel like an idiot now. |

I see fud and I don't get really why folk think Stratis was low or in a bad place, just because the coin lost some of its value? Development takes time, doing it right is not a simple task. I inherited a monolithic code base that took Nicolas over 4 years to develop and within 2 month I got it to work on stratis and completed the POS algorithm and consensus and I am not going anywhere either. Our (developer)CEO is really on top of things with stirring the ship he has a fantastic vision, forward looking, inspiring motivation he knows how to listen (which is very important) and he never sleeps. I strongly believe the Stratis team is passionate about what we do and here to deliver all kind of good stuff.

The top 100 sites are not looked at as much as everyone seems to still think they are. Most of the users in the NICHE market your looking for aren't going to come across these games because it's been selected as a top 100 game but because they have heard about the game from the RIGHT forum. No offense, but thats the way it is. Anyone here that still plays old games with custom servers will agree that they didnt run across there FAVORITE server because they found it on an outdated OLD top 100 page but because the users on whatever forum there on have suggested it.
Don't take this wrong but for as much as you brought in via ICO you could afford some form of advertising other than a FREE top 100 page that no one but a handful of server runners still fight back and forth on as who has the bigger ego. The fact that you are asking those who have already invested into JWL to now help get the game out there is ridiculous. Spend a few damn $$ and pay for some advertising. So far from what I have seen the ICO money has done NOTHING but line your pockets.
You can take this however you want to. I know investers and brown nosers are going to troll me for this but honestly there has been nothing but bullshit to push these games. Show us some advertising or how your going to get users to join. Not some free bullshit top 100 site. No investor wants to see there investment now relies on the increase of users because of some 1999 top 100 page.
