Just print the QR code of one of your public bitcoin (dogecoin or others) addresses so the people at the meeting
can make donations easily using a phone wallet.

I thought it was inappropriate to re-use addresses.  Is that not the same for QR codes?

You could generate a new address (and so a new QR code) for each of your presentations or meetings, if you don't want to reuse the address.
Btw, reusing addresses isn't really a big problem. It won't make your bitcoin unsafe, but just make people to be able to link your addresses more easily.
222  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are the best bitcoin faucets? on: August 01, 2014, 03:24:59 PM
It's been discussed here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=677442.0

In my opinion, there are only 2 faucets that are good enough and pay better than others, lucky chekin and freebitcoin

Even for the best one (freebitco.in), you can only get a few cents a day.
So unless you can get lots of ref on the faucets, it is not really a good idea to use them.

Yes, by default you get 0.00000337 BTC an hour, so if you type those captchas for 16 hours you get 0.00005392 BTC.  This is 0.03$ at the current market price. Other faucets seem to be paying even less. There are other ways to earn bitcoin, which are faster - have a look in the services section.

It changes depending on the BTC price so there isn't really a default. Usually it hovers around that level though. Same with Freedoge.co.in.

And that's why you really shouldn't spend your time typing captchas on faucets, as you can only get a few cents a day (maybe $10 a year).
Instead, you can join a sig campaign and spend 10 minutes a day here making a few posts. Smiley
223  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Would faucets be worth it if you thought Bitcoin will reach $1-10 million? on: August 01, 2014, 03:13:59 PM
The future bitcoin price doesn't really matter here.
If you can get ~0.01 btc an hour for working in McDonalds or you can get ~0.0001 an hour from faucet sites, no matter how high the bitcoin price will be, you will always be better off with working in McDonalds.
224  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: earning on: August 01, 2014, 03:04:46 PM
how do i ern btc if i dont have a miner?

The simplest way to earn bitcoin is to join a sig program here.
You don't need to have any special skills but just make forum posts, and you will be able to get way more bitcoin than from faucet sites.

I'm arbitaging between 2 differ ditherent exchanges the only accept vague scam like payment processors egopay being the least scamage of them all but they keep refusing my deposits

The price difference exists for a reason.
If the exchanges are legit and the deposits/withdrawals work smoothly, people would have taken the opportunity and the price gap would be narrowed.
226  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HEY ! - Love them Altcoins and Bitcoin on: August 01, 2014, 02:58:31 PM
HEY ! IM NEW HERE. I JUST WANTED TO SAY .. I LOVE ALTCOINS AND BITCOIN !! enough caps . Yes im new here and wanted to say hi. I especially like altcoins and want to do something entrepreneurial soon !

I read in some websites that some people can earn enough to live by trading altcoins, this is my ultimate goal!

one day you'll encounter a bad streak and lose most of what of you have

trading shouldn't be the thing you would rely on, it should only be extra income

Trading is extremely risky.
According to https://poloniex.com/exchange (sorting the trade pairs by "change"), there are 8 altcoins growing more than 40% value in a day and 10 altcoins losing more than 25% value in a day.

If you really want to try trading, please do it in a small scale first.
227  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Please tell me if my computer will be ok for mining or not on: August 01, 2014, 02:47:40 PM
Any kind of mining using a computer is not what I would say wise. Your computer more than likely would not handle it before it burnt out and you may not even manage to mine anything. Purchasing coins instead of mining and keeping them safe for a period of time for the price to increase could be a wiser option for you Smiley

Sadly, this is pretty much the case now.

In the past, GPU mining litecoin/dogecoin (when there is no scrypt ASIC) and CPU mining primecoin was quite profitable, but the good times are gone now.
228  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin ever reach $1000 dollars again? on: August 01, 2014, 02:43:49 PM
I am pretty confident that bitcoin price will touch $1000 again this year (we have 5 more months), but that $1000 mark will be a big resistance and the price will likely be under big pressure after touching it.

What happened?

I am curious as well. Why did you decide to shut the exchange down suddenly?  Huh

235  Economy / Services / Re: WE PAY FOR SIGNATURE EVEN MORE. UP TO 0.0016 BTCs PER POST. W on: July 03, 2014, 07:35:36 AM
Do you think this is worth leaving PD for? Or no?

It depends on the signature campaign operators actions
If they pay out and appear more often in the thread and rebuild their rep yes
If your willing to take a bit more risk on it yes
If you want a stable payment probably not yet either way you can wait a few days for the PD rollover before deciding as the issues here are handled.

Updown's rate is a bit higher, while Stunna has a better reputation.
As always, higher returns come with higher risks, and everyone have a different risk appetite. Smiley

238  Economy / Services / Re: Homework Help on: July 03, 2014, 07:18:57 AM
Anyone need help with homework? I can do any high school level math homework and some high school level essay writing. I am willing to do the service first if you are a reputable member. I will email you a pdf of the homework once completed. Pm me if interested.

If people can understand how bitcoin works, I believe they shouldn't have much problem in high school math.
And it is the summer break now, so it is probably not the best time to enter that "homework market". Tongue

Thanks for the HH.
From the high rollers tab, I can see Stunna is having great luck (bad luck for mokos2) Tongue
