226  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bonafide Raises $850k for Bitcoin Reputation System on: February 03, 2015, 04:52:00 AM
Bonafide, a Bitcoin startup, has raised $850k USD for a

project aimed at providing reputation tracking to the

Bitcoin world. This funding round was lead by Quest

Venture Partners, Crypto Currency Partners, and the

AngelList Bitcoin Syndicate.

Brian Moyer, the co-founder of Bonafide, believes that

reputation tracking is essential in the Bitcoin industry

after suffering through the collapse of many fraudulent

or incompetent companies. His service is aimed at

providing stability and a sense of security to potential

mainstream Bitcoin users, which could accelerate

Bitcoin’s penetration into the global financial world.

229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GEC] Bitcoin Core for Writcoin™ on: January 31, 2015, 08:23:59 PM
What exactly is this for?
Bitcoin Core for Writcoin is the official client for Writcoin. Writcoin is the official network for the electronic exchange of GE coins.

If you're so paranoid about governments, why are you writing TM next to your word? Are you planning on using documents that would identify yourself when you register the trademark somewhere?

I guess even partial marketing buzzwords triumph in the end in spite of your primary idea being to avoid the NSA somehow by using cryptography that wasn't developed by them.
This is a government project managed by govt. M. A. Limakasidios.

I like the .gov.ge in your email address.

Sounds totally official...  Roll Eyes

funny to see people using a TM with out even showing proof that a trade mark has been file or register.

so who owns writcoin trade mark?

We need to be listed on more than one exchange.

send a request:

https://poloniex.com/coinRequest

Don't they only exchange open source coins? i thought i had read that somewhere.. it might have been on the previous thread..

the main code is opensource but not the voip feature. they could add it no problem.
i would suggest crapsty ratter then poloniex.

234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEW ALT COIN- Full Integrity Coin (FIC) on: January 30, 2015, 05:28:43 AM
New update on http://fullintegritycoin.com/2015/01/30/minting-update/ about the physical minting sales.

I am currently brainstorming the best and purest or fullintegrity process for generating the starting costs for the dye, and precious metals for both the general user coin and the collector sets. I am leaning heavily towards a crowdfunding sale where there is a valued tradeoff for early investors. Stay tuned, and thanks for mining and following the vision

is nice to see you update, i was about to delete this wallet bye bye, ill keep some hopes for it then.
maybe is time for a better op dont you think?

236  Economy / Speculation / Re: The future of BTC... is there one? on: January 30, 2015, 02:06:47 AM
The only reason the price of BTC isn't higher is because so many of us have already put all of our extra money into BTC.  There is a huge demand among the few early adopters, and most of us would buy another 5btc right now if we had the money.  But we already bought those 5btc last year.  We're buying more as we are able - but so are the growing numbers of new adopters.  Since there are relatively few of us right now, that means it will only take a few more people to double our numbers and therefore double the demand for btc.

demand is just getting bigger, we will see a lot more people willing to play with bitcoin once the regulated exchanges become 100% license, their still a lot of money out their to put in this type of technologies.
237  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CoinBase - Not licensed on: January 30, 2015, 02:00:00 AM
Coinbase isn't licensed, correct, because they're still awaiting regulators to iron out the wrinkles of the Bit-License.  They launched ahead of regulators, because that's what most tech startups do.  It's nothing new.  Run the business, add license and approvals later.

That said, they are fully licensed as a money tranmitter in the following states:

https://www.coinbase.com/legal/licenses

It's just a matter of time before New York and California pass their licensing requirements.
No this is not true. As it stands now, coinbase is operating in states that it either has a license to operate in or that, in it's legal opinion does not need a license. As of now neither CA nor NY require licenses to operate a bitcoin exchange

a lot of ppl are getting confuse from the bit license for exchanges and the license as a money transmitter, they still dont have the bit license, thats why they are operating in a gray area.
238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Pre-Ann] [oo] (O_O) [X11] POW + POS on: January 30, 2015, 01:55:08 AM
What sets any coin apart? I can only promise these things. I'll communicate and be active. I will push the coin to exchanges and stores. I will push the coin as something you can spend on things. I will continue to take input and advice on the direction of the coin. Features will be based on use not on gimmicks. I will not make promises I cannot keep. I will be honest. I will be in this for the long haul.

you might want to try a little more details on features, maybe a some future development, the way it sits is not interesting to mine.

Look at those big wallets get bigger and bigger as you impatient dumpers lose money for a short term gain, but more than likely you guys are dumping for a loss.

That's sad.

 Undecided

Trade on Traders,

-trade2winnn

thats a good amount of coins on the top 20 wallets, im liking this distribution and the coin still is pretty cheap.
