To make a profit off mining bitcoins what hash rate should I be running at? How much should I invest into a rig? and where should I buy my rig?

None, you will just make loses no matter what...

Based on what?

If you do no reading and rush to buying hardware on impulse...

But if you do some reading and play your cards right you might get lucky (it's a lot of lucky!) and make a little, not a lot.

I wanted to know his basis. Im not planning on buying anything right now, I know I need a game plan first.

You can read up more on difficulty increment as well as the btc you would get for mining on a paticular machine over the lifetime.
233  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is CoinChat down? And does anyone know any other good chat sites? on: November 02, 2013, 12:38:15 AM
Hey everyone!
Does anyone know if Coinchat is down or if it's just a server issue? Also I've met some great people there. Does anyone know of any other chat sites dedicated to the Bitcoin community? I don't really care if they are reward based like Coinchat, as that is just a bonus for me. Any suggestions will be appreciated!

This forum is better then chating Smiley
234  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost on: November 02, 2013, 12:25:13 AM
Hi
I have NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti Boost and if i try mine with cgminer that hash speed is 10.13 Kh/s. Is that really so slow card?

You will need cudaminer for nvidia card. But i still wont give you good speed cause nvidia is for gaming.

Do I plug the ethernet cable into my computer or my router? Sorry for the stupid question xD

Never had one, but it would make sense to plug it into your router...
