It is quite mandatory , as there's a lot of changes on the new one comparatively to the older.
But if you feel safe using the old version for the moment , by all means please do.

Guys. We are done with DRZ. Please stop emailing us about it. This entire mess was created because we worked with your dev on the situation and no one took our guidance when we gave it. When we asked him about leaving the market and wallet open and received no response: Ok, sorry for the delay... I'm traveling so i'm way behind on email. Do you want me to disable the market and wallet? I don't understand why I have to keep explaining this. Users do not own addresses. We do. If a user deposits funds, sells the coins, and then withdraws their BTC or whatever. The coins are no longer in that users hands. They are owned by legitimate users. Just cause there are funds in that address doesn't mean anything. There is nothing to lock up. We have already taken the corrective actions on our side in regards to the accounts we investigated. We are taking no more action. @soopy, we've worked with you on a couple swaps that went perfectly fine and you know how this stuff works better than most. IDEALLY, we should create exactly the amount of coins that CCEX lost, BUT NOT MORE THAN THIS FIGURE. So, the maximum amount of extra DRZ-V3 to be mined = 2.09m (which almost agrees with my stated 2m figure), because staked coins have already been accounted for.
I will make provisions to have this mined within the day , please make your voice heard and your opinions in the meantime.

A Swap Function Enabled Wallet is Ready UPDATE 03/02/2016.
* The DROIDZ-V2 2.5 Client is ready , I have opted out the blocking of previous versions due to users might not have enough clients on the network to get their client synced , none the less this will have the swap features.
* I will write up the swap process within the day and release the client upon community approval.
* I will also need community approval to mine back 1.92m on the Droidz-V3 chain , as this is the amount of new Droidz-V2 holders from Bittrex having , I would like to suggest to increase the amount to 1.96 or more to leave out a buffer for any lost coins by any user and due to ongoing POS on the Droidz-V2 Chain. (Please verify the needed amount of Droidz-V2 to cover everyone.)

* I will list out on how to use this feature once this proposal is approved by the community.
* The C-CEX Droidz-V2 wallet will need to be dealt with. I'm still awaiting a word from them , and I suggest you talk to them too , they can themselves burn the coins as they have a copy of the wallet.dat that was given to Developer , therefore those coins are still on the same wallet and not moved elsewhere.

install went fine, was back up and staking for a couple hours. Then something happend, my balance was off and its telling me im behind. now its resyncing but just adding to the blocks not subtracting. i have 10+ connections and i cant understand what is going on... what did i do? i reinstalled after, and same problem... not a firewall issue and repairwallet returned true
