221  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BEST methods of growing your Bitcoins. on: March 13, 2018, 09:05:53 PM
Doinly only one of the things I don't believe will be so helpful but you can mix. Let's assume you have $10,000. Then $7,900 you invest your most favourite currency (Bitcoin for ex) and just wait, patience is the key. Let it go up an down or whatever you want don't touch it for at least one or two years. You take the other $2,000 and investing into altcoins you believe can produce high profits such as Verge, Tron, IOTA or even ICOs (but very carefully) and etc. While you have two different passive incomes, you can also participate in bounty/signature campaign and make a few bucks a week with no effort. If you have some talent it's great! For example, if you are good at writing you can make a blog and produce some nice profits, so you take those 100 bucks and make a professional blog in a day and then start writing. You don't necessarily need any talent, just put a lot of effort into this industry and learn everything about cryptocurrencies, people will pay you to write about some altcoins and some articles. If you know coding it's excellent then you can simply find a job in the crypto world easily not necessarily only blockchain developers also making websites or mobile apps. Still, need more? Mining could be a great thing but only farm mining which means if you already wealthy. Not yet? You can also start teaching people about bitcoin and blockchain in your local area, sell some courses or do private lessons for a decent amount of money (you might be surprised). Bitcoin, blockchain and cryptocurrencies is a huge industry of making money you just need to be creative and not that creative, look what are successful influencers doing already? Make a mobile app, make a blog, make crypto news website or just another sites. At the end of the day, it's up to you either growing your bitcoins or not.
"When everyone is going to mine gold, stand at the corner and sell them shovels".

Also making a passive investment on Bitcoin while working in real life can be considered as growing your bitcoins.
If can save $1,000 and invest it into Bitcoin as addition every month it's great and even huge.

Does somebody know if the Jetcoin website will be update ? I'm not in the Telegram group, so i dunno if something was said about that. I feel like all the ingredient are there, but it miss something for raise as it should be.

Jetcoin's website will be revamped very soon, a new fresh design with maximum security.
A lot of hard work into this.

224  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you still use bitcoins if the price would be stable? on: March 13, 2018, 02:31:01 PM
I will be honest if Bitcoin would be stable (and all the other cryptocurrencies either) I wouldn't use it yet.
We all can agree Bitcoin's vision is amazing and it will be amazing but for now, it's not enough and if I don't see any profit there's not really a reason.
225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEW Dapp BOUNTY PROGRAM WITH CRYPTO SPORTZ on: March 12, 2018, 07:54:42 PM
I gotta be honest I'm very impressed by what you guys did here going underrated.
This is amazing and deserves much more attention, can be easily adopted by many.
I wish you the best and I definitely shared with my friends!
226  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Smart Ring Hardware wallet on: March 12, 2018, 05:07:02 PM
I'm pretty sure I already saw something like that (a video) which is a simple ring that allows you to pay for things and everything.
In the beginning, I was very sceptical and I was thinking "all your wealth on your index finger?" but then I understood it's working with a fingerprint.
Oh, I just found it. It's called Tokenize (dot com). Anyway, your idea is really great for mass adoption I see many people even young teens going out with this and just paying for their clothes and food. But I really believe it should be handled by big corporations with a huge budget because eventually security and quality are above everything and not everyone can supply this.

227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy a book about bitcoins on: March 12, 2018, 05:02:48 PM
I am a big fan of books. I will not lie to you, books are incredibly fun and exciting. Bringing me to the old style, escaping from reality and enjoying a good story. But Bitcoin book? I think it's pretty useless, Bitcoin and everything around it's built into the internet. Everything is based on electricity, technology, digital and not physical. It's not a bad thing at all. But books about Bitcoin? They not necessarily useless but buying them is not worth it.
All the information you need is on the internet, plenty of articles and resourceful information by the smartest people in the industry. I mean read Bitcoin whitepaper which was written by Satoshi Nakamoto. Everything you want from Bitcoin, Blockchain, Economic to Investing, Trading and Financial Lifestyle. It's all on the internet, just a few keywords in google and you find it! There's honestly so much information for free gathered everywhere.
You don't really need to pay for anything and honestly, I think a book (100 pages) about a specific topic is pretty a waste of time. Nothing that few articles can't cover easily. If you want for some solid information, PM me I'll send you.

228  Economy / Economics / Know your limits! on: March 12, 2018, 04:20:33 PM
I hope you are doing alright.

So I'm writing this thread especially for me to get it all out but I hope it will reach to some other people who will find it valued.
For the last few years, I got serious about economics and crypto itself, I guess it's my passion. I find everything about money, economics, technologies, companies, crypto and many more very interesting. So I decided to try my luck, to go for this. I acquired a ton of knowledge, I followed the leading personalities in the economics (not necessarily crypto) and learned as much as I can. I spent months of reading because I really enjoyed it. Eventually, no regrets. So what I am trying to say is that I told my self to get into crypto as part of investments and then move to the stocks exchange but crypto as a start. My mistake? I convinced my father to hand my few thousands to invest into cryptocurrencies, and honestly, I wasn't wrong; my actions were.
The problem is the huge need for immediate satisfaction so I couldn't really HODL I guess and lost almost all of this.

What I am trying to say over here. That, those investments are based on a lot of speculation and knowledge but not only.
Sometimes no matter how a product is good, the team is doing great and everything is perfect. Sometimes the market itself isn't perfect.
So I'm trying to tell you KNOW YOUR LIMITS. Why so? Due to the high volatility (10% up, 10% down), I got addicted to this and all I wanted is to make 2x. I felt it was so close to me (to be honest if I wouldn't touch my money and just HODL almost no matter at what coin I would at least 3x). So I changed from a coin to a coin was looking for the closest pump, for instant profit I wanted it so hard without noticing I am losing very slowly.

The economy is a very complicated thing, I kept watching multiple long videos about the economy to look what I missed.
I am just a small letter in the whole bible, so I guess it doesn't matter. People believe they are different, but usually, they are not.
Plan a strategy and more than all, be patient and do not let emotions or urges get into your actions. Investments could be very nice but sometimes risky and harmful. Cryptocurrency, for example, brought the good thing, made every single person from his bathroom to invest and become a millionaire; that's a huge great thing but if you don't follow the basic rules it can be fatal.

In conclusion, don't put yourself above other traders or investors. Don't fall into the deep water. Actions should be taken very carefully and after a long smart thinking. I wish you the best! Wink
229  Economy / Economics / Re: Can you start from zero cash and make a living with the opportunities in crypto? on: March 12, 2018, 04:05:56 PM
Can? I always can. I can also make a living with gold, but do I want? Not necessarily.
Crypto is the young potential children who will become a super talent and make some money home, you wouldn't him want to become a lawyer or something like that, you would want him to focus his career, his talent to fulfil his potential and become what he was born to be. Same is cryptocurrencies, they are all still young amazing game-changing, everything will cost much more. Why would I pay $4 BTC or even $1000 apartment rental if tomorrow it might be $8 and $2000; that's a risk I wouldn't like to take. So until it will not fulfil it's potential to the end I won't use it, I will keep this as my investment.
230  Economy / Economics / Re: Facebook bans ads for cryptocurrencies on: March 12, 2018, 04:02:41 PM
I honestly believe Facebook did a smart move.
All those ICOs (I don't judge them) make the crypto market look ridiculous and not really safe. It doesn't really attract some new people and only gives reasons why crypto isn't the solution for the economy. But we all know it's not true, therefore I believe until there will not be an easy way to mass adoption more like many mobile apps and ATMs all around the world and many more, advertisements shouldn't be everywhere especially small ICOs with no value.
Eventually, we need ammo before we shoot. If you know what I mean.
231  Economy / Economics / Re: Invest in BTC vs Invest in Real Estate? on: March 12, 2018, 04:00:03 PM
It's really up to your situation. Investing in BTC doesn't require too much money you can do it with 10k, unlike Real Estate which cost more than 100k.
So honestly if you are capable, I would tell you to invest them both. Also, bitcoin is more for high profits and Real Estate is more like a safe bet if you know what I mean. You got an actual thing on earth, it can't really be gone so it will always be valued. Unlike Bitcoin because who knows? But both are great investments. Divide your investment, do not hold all your eggs in one basket.
232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEO Vs Ripple on: March 12, 2018, 03:56:52 PM
I believe Ripple no doubt is a better currency and offering more than NEO is.
But if you are chasing after a profit which is completely understandable I would tell you to go all-in NEO.
233  Economy / Economics / Re: BITCOIN PRICE IN 2050 - ACCORDING TO VITALIK BUTERIN! on: March 12, 2018, 03:00:42 PM
Here’s Vitalik Buterin giving his long term outlook for BTC and LTC/other alts, which he thinks will likely go up in value long-term by at least the amount that world GDP increases - in a fascinating 4 minute video answer to a question from Felix, courtesy of ThomasJulianMiller:
https://youtu.be/VosfxChTxVg

And what is the prediction for the rate of increase in world GDP in the long-term. Here’s a comprehensive PwC report that predicts the world GDP will increase 130% by 2050, from its 2016 levels:
https://www.pwc.com/gx/en/issues/economy/the-world-in-2050.html

So taking BTC’s price at end-2016 of $950, and assuming Buterin is right that it’s price will rise at the rate of world GDP - then the projected BTC price in 2050 would be $123,500 ($950 x 130)! That’s a 13,000% increase on the $950 2016 price, and a nice 1,280% increase on today’s $9,640 price!  And I’m sure all of us who are in the first 0.5% of the world’s early adopters of Bitcoin and crypto would love to see a price like that for BTC in 2050, which is only 22 years away!

But there’s more! The price of BTC and the successful alts should also increase by at least one more multiple, as use of BTC and alts and investment in them penetrates 10% or more of the world population - as is likely to have happened by then especially in the E7 nations. So a BTC price of $1,000,000 or more by 2050 ($124K*10=$1.24M) is not an unreasonable prediction, factoring in world growth plus BTC’s organic growth - and that $1M price would be a whopping 105,250% increase on the 2016 price, and a very nice 10,375% increase on today’s BTC price!

And if Buterin’s well-reasoned prediction for the long term survival and growth of BTC and crypto pans out then when we’re finally able to look back at crypto prices with 20-year charts in 2050, we may well see that the crash now in prices even if they were to fall 90% from the Dec/Jan highs will look very similar to what are now only tiny blimps down in the early prices of Amazon and Apple in 2000 with the Dotcom crash as shown in the linked graphic - but which at the time in 2000 were massive 90% falls in the Amazon and Apple share prices, that very few people thought these companies could survive and recover from let alone make 50,000% gains in the 20 years to follow!
https://imgur.com/a/CurnU

Hindsight is a wonderful thing of course, for those of us who missed investing in the centralised companies monopolising and profiting from the Internet 2.0 - but Vitalik Buterin is a smart man who some call the genius of our age, and his potential foresight on where crypto stands and where it’s going shouldn’t be taken lightly. Hmmm getting in early this time on decentralised currency and the decentralised blockchain based Internet 3.0 anyone - food for thought! So ....

1. What do people think of Vitalik’s interesting answer here, and his long-term prediction and reasoning for BTC and altcoins survival and growth in value?
2. Do you agree a BTC price of $100k by 2050 is a reasonable expectation based just on world GDP growth, and that a price of $1M by 2050 is quite possible with world GDP growth plus 10% BTC organic growth/adoption?
3. Do you think LTC as mentioned by Buterin and other altcoins that survive and prosper will see similar gains of 13,000% by 2050 with just world GDP growth, or that they too may grow up to 100,000% by then with 10% organic growth/adoption thrown in as well?
4. Do these predictions help give you strong hands to hodl your BTC and favourite altcoins, and to buy more as the crypto market bottoms and sooner or later turns up to make new highs on its roller coaster long term ride? Just imagine if those Amazon and Apple charts are Bitcoins and the surviving successful altcoins charts in 20 years time - there may not be enough Lambos!!

By 2050, Bitcoin can be everything or nothing. 2050 is way too far to be predicted, so many regulations can be till then. So many cases.
Who knows? Maybe Satoshi Nakamoto will pop out and expose his rabbit from the hat? The one thing that Vitalik knows about 2050 is that he knows nothing. It might be his vision to achieve all those goals but 30 years can do a lot, 30 years ago the internet was nothing. Today? It's everything!
So yea. My vision is that Bitcoin will become a wealth for rich people (like holding apartment) and there will be cryptocurrencies that will be made by countries. USA's blockchain, China's blockchain and of course many platforms that will allow trading, exchanges and etc. I do believe cryptocurrencies and blockchain will big a big part of this world, especially blockchain. But it's my vision, nothing more than that.
234  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people buy high and sell low on: March 12, 2018, 02:48:07 PM
As a person who always says 'buy low sell high,' I tend to buy high and sell low. Why? Because I'm always under FOMO.
Fear of Missing out. Don't be like me! Don't be a panic seller! If there's something I understood so far, you are not missing anything.
Prices are going back and opportunities are coming to you every single day, time is the biggest enemy in this business.
Do not fall under pressure, patience is the key. That's why so many day traders lose so much, everybody hates patience but it's the only way to make a real stable profit.
235  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: teach your children about bitcoin on: March 12, 2018, 02:22:09 PM
I will teach my children about the economy and how to become financially stable.
Blockchain and cryptocurrencies will play as a big part in this but not only Bitcoin.
236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Did ETH changed crypto world? on: March 12, 2018, 01:46:42 PM
Did Ethereum change the crypto world? Definitely.

Ethereum's blockchain is bigger than all the blockchains together in the crypto world. I think it means a thing or two. Eventually, not long time ago coins were the main thing in the crypto market. But nowadays especially Ethereum made their blockchain available for so many tokens which brought mass adoption of token contracts. Some of them are successful such as Tron, VeChain and many more. And some of them are just bunch of ICO useless projects with a huge vision but nothing practical. So yea, the blockchain is really huge with a big dominance in the crypto.

Ethereum, unlike Bitcoin. It's bringing more than the basic, it's bringing the second generation of smart contracts which make the crypto much better.
Everyday Vitalik and all the developers behind Ethereum bringing a new technology, something for the future to actual help mass adoption. Bitcoin is the underwear, Ethereum is the costume. I believe it should be very much appreciated because when I look for the next years, I can't see the crypto world without Ethereum and it's technology involved. If we want it or not, it makes the crypto world better.

Now, Ethereum brought so many ERC-20 tokens and made it so easy for the "creators" of all those projects and for the users. Because now most of the tokens can be stored in known wallets such as Ledger Nano S, MyEtherWallet, Trezor and many more. Many different blockchains aren't good for mass adoption and Ethereum is bringing a solution for this. You don't want to take a look at so many different blockchains, sometimes the only etherscan.io is perfect. So yea, I'm really glad about this. Also, it seems like all the people behind Ethereum and the development is taking no rest and keep working on technology every single day. Because of smart contracts, ERC-20 tokens, one huge blockchain - I think all those things are big factors for a mass adoption by the world; to take the crypto world to the next level.
237  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HOW TO EARN MERIT TT on: March 12, 2018, 01:31:03 PM
Amount of merits mean or at least support to mean the quality of your posts.
Bitcointalk has a huge number of users every day, a lot of posts; some of them useful and some of them useless.
If you don't have merits it means your posts are still not quality yet.
As people already told you over here, it's not about the quantity it's about the quality.
Still, merit doesn't make you a sensei or anything like that, it is possible just requires some effort.
I would suggest you start by reading the forum rules and making participating in some interesting discussions.
Play at your strongest topic don't go into topics you have no clue about and try to be smart (like mining for me).
238  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Articles on blockchain/crypto on: March 12, 2018, 01:26:57 PM
A lot of articles are talking about the future and the possible technology which will come with amazing unlimited opportunities.
It's really pleasant to read those articles and I have no complaints but, sometimes I would like to see some interesting full detailed articles about the past and the blockchain & cryptocurrency history is no less important. Bitcoin exists for over 9 years and a big part of the people came since December and still most of the people not in the industry for over a year. So I do think summing up what all the people right now missed in the last nine years could be very helpful and interesting. Eventually, projects development and entrepreneurship in the industry would be very interesting and attractive also so I'm not too much judgmental.
