221  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: OFFICIAL CGMINER mining software thread for linux/win/osx/mips/arm/r-pi 4.6.1 on: September 23, 2014, 03:18:17 PM
I currently have 10 of the original R-Boxes running on cgminer. I'm adding 2 of the new 110 GH+ r boxes as well. Is there a way to set a frequency for the original R boxes and a different one for the new ones?

Thanks.
The easiest thing to do is run the new R-box ver2 on a second instance of cgminer, they will run side by side without any problems and if you need to make changes to the new ones like usual with new equipment, then you won't have to shutdown everything to do it.

There won't be a problem each of them trying to detect and run them all?

I have 10 of the original r-boxes and 2 of the new ones. Is there a way to get BFGMiner to run them all together, but set one frequency for the original ones and another for the new ones?

Thanks.

The --set parameter can be used to target specific devices by path or serial number:

Code:
--set rkm@/some/path:clock=XYZ
--set rkm@serial123:clock=ABC

If I understand correctly, the R-boxes generally have the same serial number, so this line would only have to be used signally?

--set rkm@serial123:clock=ABC

Hopefully the new R-boxes will have a different serial.

Sorry, kind of new at digging this deep into them.

If the devices have the same serial number (IOW manufacturer did not set proper information), you would either need to use the device path instead or use a tool to program a serial number on the device(s).

For CP210x-based devices the following tool is relatively painless: http://cp210x-program.sourceforge.net

Could I leave my current setup for the frequency on the older r-boxes and then use the serial frequency command on just the 2 new r-boxes?

Looks like there have been 3 transfers in to that address and none out.

https://blockchain.info/address/1PmunxAnYYqB9PAAW3gVk6vop53TuYq8AE

Just keep a track and try to follow the BTC when it moves. Take note of the addresses it goes to and then do some searching for those addresses.

It's a longshot, but post the BTC address. Might be able to trace the transfers in and out and match to an address someone else is using or has used.

to Ntrain2k

Unfortunately when i unplug it pc gives me unrecognised hardware error and bfgminer declares dead. thanks anyway

Have you tried swapping cables and/or power source?

Does it work ok with older versions?

I had one Zeus/GAW miner that would lose the USB connection at random times and it would give those errors. When I unplugged the USB cable from the miner side and replugged it would take back off.

eBay is your friend.

I've bought blades recently for less than what you are asking.
231  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 5x Gridseeds, 12V 30A PSU, LightningASIC controller and all cables on: September 19, 2014, 05:38:26 PM
You can get 10 Gridseeds with PSU and cables on E-Bay right now for about $110.
Gridseeds are barely cost effective to ship at this point. Sad

Exactly. I gave him an offer that would have covered shipping plus extra. His reply was LOL.

Told him if he wants anything close to what he's asking he is better off to go to eBay with it because no one here is going to buy for his price.
232  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 4xS1 O/C to 200GHs on: September 18, 2014, 10:34:23 PM
I'll buy if you can match 9mm-btc's price from last week.
I am not sure what you are talking about.

He was selling them for $50 each.

Luke, i recently tried upgrading from 4.2 to 4.8.  I have been using 4.2 fine with CGWatcher, but when i go to use 4.8 with CGWatcher, it closes in scrypt mode.  running the command without CGWatcher works fine.  what command can i run to create a log file to see why it closes?

im not sure exactly what is causing the program to close itself, because i have 4.8 running in sha256 mode fine, and the same command in 4.2 works for my scrypt miners

thanks!

I had this problem with 4.3 and up a while back. Give this a shot:

Bump

I have them for sale.  $62.50 including priority USPS domestic shipping.  You pay any escrow fees.  USB cable and barrel connector are included.  Power brick can be added for $10 each.  I use coinbase.com for USD to BTC conversion.

Alternatively you can purchase from my eBay store.  I have 99.7% positive feedback.  Over 400.

Edit for auto correct on spelling.

Yea, sorry, not paying EBay prices for them.

Guessing this is vapour?

750 Ghs at only 70 watts?!
Lol

Not mine, but I read it to be more along the lines of 525 watts.

.70 Watt per GH

Is there a way to get BFGminer to not recognize or try to use my video card while mining?

Thanks.

add this to the command used to launch bfgminer
Code:
-S opencl:noauto

 -S noauto

Tried both of those and BFG just opens and closes immediately. Here is my current bat:

C:\Users\Main\Desktop\bfgminer-4.7.0\bfgminer.exe --scrypt -S gridseed:all --set-device gridseed:clock=830 -o stratum+tcp://us-east.multipool.us:7777 -u X -p x --no-submit-stale

paste this into notepad. Save as.. mine.bat

this will run bfgminer with the flags we mentioned and then pause for keyboard input, letting you see why it doesn't start up (like it should)

C:\Users\Main\Desktop\bfgminer-4.7.0\bfgminer.exe --scrypt -S noauto -S gridseed:all --set-device gridseed:clock=830 -o stratum+tcp://us-east.multipool.us:7777 -u X -p x --no-submit-stale
pause

You are the man!

I wasn't putting the -S in front of gridseed also, so it was -S noauto gridseed:all
