Chelsea is equipped with some young promising squad with a bright future if properly well managed and well coached by a good tactician like Pochettino unfortunately the clubs fans are hungry for an instant result which is absolutely not possible, the team needed some time for their players to gel with each other atleast next season
Lol, Pochettino is nothing different to Potter.

Even though Potter were making many mistakes in big transfers, but there are some good players e.g. Enzo, Nkunku, and Sterling.

What Pochettino done in this season? nothing, there's no successful transfer until now. Signed Cole Palmer for 44 Million Euros, contribute nothing. Signed Robert Poor Sanchez for 23 Million Euros and lend Kepa to Real Madrid. Signed Caicedo for 128 Million Euros, and other young players that playing in an unknown league.

I would say signing young players is a good idea for the future. As for current signings, I would say some big names and unnecessary spends. There are areas where they had to spend but they chose to spend in attack only. The management has no idea of what to sign in order to make the team strong.

Signing Cole Palmer was a nice idea because they need someone as an attacking midfielder but I think they should have gotten a much better name with bit more over that price. Again I will reiterate that Chelsea are making unecessary spends which is why they are making no progress at all.

Yes, it was an epic comeback from Tottenham. I didn't watch how they did it, but scoring 2 goals in 2 minutes was unexpected. Moreover, Sheffield almost ensured their victory in this match because Tottenham couldn't score a goal until 7 minutes of injury time, but unfortunately Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski got the best momentum to win 3 points today.

Never think it's done in English football. Even a 1-0 , 2-0 scoreline are hard to defend whether it be anyone. Glad to see Spurs able to pull off a comeback in the end. Spurs really did well in the end to score the goals they needed to take 3 points. That makes the #3 comeback this last game day.

An unexpected defeat certainly came to Manchester United today. Ten Hag had to accept defeat for the third time after previously losing to Tottenham and Arsenal. With that Manchester United are really in big trouble as it seems Ten Hag has lost a lot of control to get his team back in top form.

It's a new season for United but they really have gone inconsistent. I don't find the confidence they had last season. Brighton are a tough one to beat nowadays but United also should be able to pick up some close shots which I didn't saw in last game.

They have Burnley next in PL so should be able to win this easy fixture bu they also have CL fixture in between against Bayern.

City showed a great end to the game... To be honest I wanted to bet on their win when the score was tied at odds of 2.3... But I didn't have time, and in the end City won the match... I was also pleased with Brighton... I had my doubts about their game with Man U, but I expected Man U not to win... Today is an interesting day in the EPL..

City with the possession usually finds lot of opportunities to score in a game. Today it was the same as despite them being down, they in the end managed to win with a very good scoreline. As for Brighton, they also are a great team. To be able to defeat United with 3-1 scoreline without some crucial faces like Solly March, Estupinian , it goes show how De Zerbi is building the club strong.

Was really an entertaining gme day today.

It's been a while since I saw a comeback from Liverpool but they really played the first half very well. Klopp placed the pieces right in second half and managed to win it by the end with 3-1 scoreline. The goal from Robertson was a great run from Robertson and sweet pass from Salah that made it happen. The third goal was also a sweet strike from Elliott which end up in the goal after taking a deflection from Wolves defender.

Liverpool now temporarily stands at top of the table.

Very poor from Liverpool so far. Wolves are really putting so much pressure but Liverpool have been losing possession easily as well. Mac Allister is sloppy on the ball today and could be one of the names to be replaced in the second half. Defenders are not much aware of Wolves players and with just bit of counter attack moments Wolves are finding themselves some close moments. There was lot of things wrong with first half for Liverpool.

I hope Klopp now brings in Luis Diaz in second half as he will create the pressure on opponents that Liverpool needs right now.

I'm sure that football games like the one between The Hammers and Manchester City will never be predicted the way things are now. Personally, I think Man City has always been the best, but I remember Arsenal being ahead in the standings at the start of other seasons, which adds some doubt. The current play of West Ham also can't be ignored. But I need to point out a mistake I made about Declan Rice, who works for Arsenal right now. Because of these factors, I understand your desire for a fair match, but it's hard to say for sure which way the outcome will be

Hammers are enjoying a great run since start. They have brought in some good players from the Declan Rice's sale. Personally I think City are still way ahead in terms of squad and tactics but right now I feel that Hammers might have a chance against City. It's interesting to see that lately Alvarez have been playing behind Haaland in the formation and is making the run when opponents defence focus has been on Haaland. Hammers really need to be aware of that and needs to mark both Alvarez and Haaland in their upcoming game. It's a tough fixture but I think Hammers have a chance if they do things properly.

Manchester City is rumored to be trying to bring in AC Milan star players in the winter transfer market. Pep hopes City can bring in Leao. However, Leao currently has a contract with AC Milan until 2028. Several media reported, to be able to successfully bring in Leao, City must be willing to pay at least 175 million euros. If this transfer process really happens, AC Milan will experience a decline in performance, because Leao is an important player for Milan at the moment. I'm not sure if there is a player ready to replace Leao.
That's too much, although Leao is a young talented player, but his performance isn't worth for 175 Million Euros, such amount worth for Haaland or Osimhen. 125 Million Euros already the highest money to sign Leao.

AC Milan is to slow to develop their squad, they're always rely to Giroud when he's already 36 years old. I think AC Milan is fine if Leao leave their team because they have Pulisic which is ex Chelsea's player.
175 million euros is the release clause in his contract so if Man City wants to get Leao, it must redeem that much because Milan and Leao have agreed to activate this.

Yeah if Man City want to keep pushing then they must be willing to spend big money but this rumor is still unclear because Leao still wants to stay at Milan.
Even if he leaves Leao Milan then this team will lose a talented striker like him, maybe you think he is ordinary for me Leao is quite important in Milan.

Man City are smart enough to not spend that much and try to go after other players on the same position. They are not the type of club right now to be "desperate" to find a game changing player for the team. They have a great squad so they don't need to have spend that much when they have everything they need. 175m is a lot and City if wants to spend that much then they would rather think about getting more players than getting a player for 175m. I don't think City will go much for that player at all.

James Maddison does great work. He received admiration from the fans in every match last month. I can't understand why big teams ignore some players. James Maddison is a player who can play in any team and he shows this in every match.

If you watch the matches carefully, James Maddison knows very well where he should be on the field. He plays better every match and continues to improve. One of the things I'm curious about is how it will perform against a tough opponent.

Yes he was one of the crucial players for Leicester. Spurs were the first one to approach the player after Leicester relegated and so Spurs got them. But what a massive performance for Spurs so far. He is a really good attacking midfielder and good striker of the ball.

Against tough opponents, I feel like it will be a heavy task for him alone so other players also has to step in and create pressure so that Maddison also find some moments and doesn't feels the pressure. Well Arsenal is up next after this gameweek for Spurs so you will soon find out how he performs.

Tuchel is the only manager who has tolerance to accept whatever Chelsea brings home but sadly the political goons surrounded by Todd Boehly didn't make him see things now, he doesn't need anybody to tell him or judge Chelsea's performance, it's all written in their faces that the club is lagging, they better act fast before things shattered, because I don't think even good players will be motivated to come and play for them again.
It is a highly regrettable decision made by the Chelsea board and its current owner Todd Boehly to sack Thomas Tuchel seeing that they are yet to get it right with a manager to handle the team and turn things around greatly for Chelsea. If you fast-forward back to the time when Tuchel was still managing Chelsea,  it was more interesting to watch Chelsea than now. However, I still think Pochettino should be given a little more time to see if he can fix things right and get Chelsea back on track.

Chelsea are the impatient ones to be honest. Well it's now become a modern culture of changing managers as soon as team starts developing series of inconsistent performance. Tuchel was really a great manager but in the end the new owners didn't like some of his decisions and parted ways with Tuchel. I think with Pochettino it will be same despite what wishes and opinions their fans or us have.
230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: September 14, 2023, 06:37:42 PM
Judging by the fact that the odds for the game have not changed (by betting on Bayern you can get a generous 60% profit), no significant changes have occurred in the composition of the teams.
Generally I trust bookmakers but in this case it seems to me that Bayern are undervalued. I think that a bet on Bayern is good both separately and as part of a multi-bet.

Yeah I agre on this one. Bayern are being undervalued a lot here. Anything around 1.3-.35 would have justified the odds a bit but seems like bookmakers are giving Leverkusen a lot of favour in the fixture considering it's away game for Leverkusen.

Will be good to add as a bankroll builder bet. I feel also should be both teams to score.

Who has said that Chelsea is willing to pay 175m for Osimhen and how does that even make sense when the transfer markets are closed?

That's what I last read about what Napoli value him at. Even if 175m is not the right figure. It's definitely will be around 100-150m between and that's a lot. Yeah transfer market is closed but if the news are true then they can go for him in next winter transfer window.

Quote
As the news said Nkunku could be out for a total of 16 weeks and that is a big loss for them, but with all those investments that Chelsea made they should already be able to bring on a proper replacement for Nkunku. Talking about Osimhen now wouldn't help anyway as that transfer could be made in the winter only and by then Nkunku should be fully recovered and available.

I am not sure but even after signing Nkunku a strong source did wrote that Chelsea were looking for another strong striker. I just can't recall if it was after Nicolas Jackson signing too. Anyway, whatever it is will get to know better near winter transfer window.

Quote
But when a club as rich as Chelsea and as active on the transfer market as they have been, still can't play successfully, then there is more to that than just one injured Nkunku.

Yeah^^, definitely. But it seems to Chelsea that making squad dense as much will help the problem. They are not just making the right decisions.

At the outset of this EPL season, Chelsea appears to be struggling with a less-than-productive striker. Evidently, in the match against Nottingham Forest, Chelsea generated numerous opportunities, yet none were successfully converted into goals.

Is acquiring Oshimen the right move? Are there other aspects beyond the attacking line that are influencing Chelsea's current performance?

I don't think lack of scoring striker is a problem. I think Chelsea are making investments in areas where they don't actually have a problem. They have Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku who are really good strikers so in my opinion it is enough. They have already invested over a 100m for acquiring strikers and now another 175m for Osmihen? Why not try to get a very strong attacking midfielder that has a good vision and create some good attacking plays. Their defence is also not that strong.

I think it's a long road but if club are making unnecessary signings then I find that road even longer.

I know Arsenal wants to be the champ. They must beat Everton after their disappointing draw with Fulham. The close competition with West Ham and Man City fuels Arsenal's ambition, but Everton's recent play and squad quality don't match. However, Everton troubled Arsenal last season. Despite adding players, I'm not sure how Arsenal will do at Goodison Park. Everton may be planning for football's numerous surprises.

So far Everton hasn't come out strong this season at all. Now I really see it hard for them to get a win against Arsenal in their next fixture who are very well combined and who has become really consistent over the last few seasons. Yes last season, they managed to win but I don't think it will be easy like last season. Lot of new players has arrived and it is very hard to compete when they are really in bad form. They also have lost lot of players and it is really hard for Everton right now to win games with the current squad.

Should be an easy game for Arsenal without a doubt. Probably would be 3-0 or 4-0 for Arsenal.
234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: September 10, 2023, 05:16:20 PM
Interesting analysis and in fact I see that bookmakers estimate the probability of Dortmund winning as low (less than 50%):

3.45 - 3.55 - 2.12

I’m not sure that the bet on Freiburg is justified, since the odds are not so good - only 3.45, and the game could end in either a draw or a victory for Dortmund. Maybe it makes sense to bet on Freiburg Double chance with odds 1.70.

I think Freiburg has good chance to win this one. Dortmund are very poor in terms of goal scoring right now. I feel if Freiburg manages to score 2-3 goals then I don't think Dortmund have a chance to win or draw. I also agree that Freiburg and double chance seems to be a very good bet here. It's gonna be a good shot as Dortmund has really let down so far since the start.

Odegaard had become the integral part of Arsenal squad thus it becomes very necessary to extend his contract having established himself as the team leader and handed the captainship band,

Arsenal must immediately extend his contract. he is quite important for Arsenal. Moreover, Arteta has also acknowledged the quality of his game and his leadership as captain on the field.
Odegaard is a midfielder who has the ability to build attacks. he is quite fast on the wing and very difficult to stop. He's a tough player, Arsenal might regret losing him in the squad. It is difficult to find a young midfielder with the quality of play as good as Odegaard.

Yeah definitely. He is in Arteta plans without a doubt and so far he has been so much crucial for us since he moved to Arsenal that there is no way that Arsenal would like to lose him when they are in team building process. He is captain and really drives the team with his leadership. Arsenal should really try to get things done quickly to extend the services of player for a long term.

Last I heard that it was all positive with contract extension talks between the club and player. I hope it gets done quickly so that everyone and fans have a good sigh of relief.

If Arsenal still have dependence only on certain players then of course, this factor will make Arsenal not compete in the title race. Because after all, last season was also the case when several key players suffered injuries so that Arsenal's performance fell and failed to maintain good results. Therefore, Arsenal should learn from mistakes, and must remain strong and compact even though some of the key players cannot be played. Because only in that way, then at least Arsenal will be able to maintain good performance and results in each match.

They had to think about density and backup for this season as this season they are not only in PL but also in CL. It is very hard for clubs to manage their squad with injuries and all when they have both CL and PL around. We either way needed some backups as centre back. We still might need one but I think as for now it is ok with what we have.

I feel that there should be rotation from time to time so that everyone gets chance and develop themselves. I like the fact that Arteta is giving some chances so I think he is managing it very well so far. I think in next game instead of playing Partey as right back and White as center it will be Kiwior and Saliba at center and White as right back.
237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 10, 2023, 12:03:47 PM
According to the latest news, I saw that he did not have a serious injury. That's good news for him, Arsenal would probably struggle without him.
Their next game is against Everton and they need to defend well. If one of the players is missing from the team, their chances of conceding a goal are much higher. Even though Everton started this year badly, the team needs to get a comfortable win and be highly motivated for the next games

Nah I don't think we will struggle without Gabriel. We have signed lot of centre backs to still find it smooth if situation like this happened. I think we still have some good centre backs to replace Gabriel. If you look at the first 3 games, we played with White and Saliba as centre backs and we still did decent. However I do admit that White is much better option as a right back but there is also Kiwior who can be centre back for us in next game.

I still expect Arsenal to win the game against Everton smoothly.

Not sure if Brentford has a strong defence because they often concede, I think their ability is in striker/attacker like Bryan Mbeumo he is currently in 2nd place as the top scorer in the Premier League with 4 goals only 2 goals behind Haaland who has collected 6 goals. Brentford also have a good mentality, they never give up even if they conceded first, if you remember their last match against Bournemouth they were 1-2 behind until the 90th minute but Bryan Mbeumo managed to equalize the score in the 92nd minute, this player never seems to run out of stamina.

You are also forgetting Ivan Toney here. Guy was handed an eight month ban and is expected to join at the beginning of next year but Toney has also been crucial along with Mbeumo behind Brentford's success. Thomas Frank is a very good coach and he has been managing the team very well. Brentford are a very tough underdogs to break. I still remember last season when they defeated United 4-0 in their first match of the PL season.

Brentford story is also amazing. Brentford has produced has lot of talents over the years including players like Watkins, Benrahma and Maupay. They are just a real great unit.
239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 09, 2023, 05:12:21 PM
Manchester United team is performing very well. Last season there were some great problems within the team. However, at the beginning of this season, the team has prepared itself brilliantly.
All the teams in the Premier League have prepared themselves well for this season, but I see that Manchester United is still less than brilliant with their performance in the four matches at the start of this season. Because of these four matches, Manchester United were only able to get two wins and they are still outside the top ten in the standings because they lost twice in those four matches. So Manchester United still needs better improvements so that they can perform even more brilliantly in the next match.

^ Yeah theh haven't made a strong start I would say given their stature. They have been able to win 2 out of 4 and have lost the remainder of the games. Both wins came against Forest and Wolves which both were also close ones. They lost against Arsenal and Spurs. So to summarise, they are just able to win against weak teams with a bare margin and are losing heavy fixtures with quite some margin. It just speaks itself how  United are doing right now.

They definitely need improvements. I really liked how Hojlund started against Arsenal off the bench. So I am really excited to see how he does if he starts for United. I think United needs a goalscorer and Hojlund could be the one to help them. I mean I know they bought him for that reason but not every signing makes a mark as expected. With Hojlund, I think he might.

Raul has such an opportunity. But if he goes to Villareal and his career ends badly, his chances of becoming Real Madrid manager are almost nil. It's better for him to wait his turn than to test himself in another team. On the other hand, Real Madrid are one of the best clubs in the world. There are many alternatives for them when it comes to entrusting the team to someone. I don't know where Raul would be on that list. In the end, there were two options for Raul. But I think Raul had to test himself and show that he is a good manager. Villareal would have been a good option for him. I think he should have taken some risks.

It doesn't has to be Real Madrid but he can still go on to manage some good clubs. There are lot of things that affects but I think for Raul it was really a good opportunity to gain experience as first team manager and lead his team against competitive sides. It will be tough for sure but it will give a very good result if he goes on to do a great job. He can take an easy job managing some mid teams as their targets for a season are not that high but if he manages to make the team do better than what was the target then he will really make some news and be in big team's radar.

Anyway he is in best position to think. Maybe Madrid gave him a good offer to entice him to stay. Who knows.. he will stay that's the one thing for sure now.
