Well people lose their money. And some haven't tried to exploit the situtation for arbitrage. They are just locked in.
224  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2014-02-23 Mt. Gox CEO Resigns From Bitcoin Foundation on: February 24, 2014, 04:19:29 AM
My point is Bitcoin is decentralized and noone should even name their group a "foundation". Stupid media will think of the "foundation" as bitcoin.

Nahhh, after so many years even the media can tell the difference.
225  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mt Gox CEO resigns from Bitcoin Foundation on: February 24, 2014, 03:43:56 AM

227  Economy / Speculation / Re: Its Monday Morning In Japan, No Update, Price falling.... on: February 23, 2014, 11:17:58 PM
No announcement is expected today.

How can you say that? Do you know when the next announcement is expected?
Or do you think that they will not be a next announcement...?   Lips sealed
228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Neo & Bee world first bitcoin bank about to launch in Cyprus tomorrow. on: February 23, 2014, 10:58:08 PM
So another online wallet service. I wonder how long before they get hacked

I really hope for them to be as good in security as they are on marketing.

And for all services that are dealing with our private keys, i mostly worry about them getting "hacked" than hacked...  Tongue Tongue

I have a few confirmations already, my "shares held" shows 0 and the countdown for the payment is still ticking...

233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [FUD] Russia, China & Apple ban Bitcoins. Gox closing. Is this the end? on: February 07, 2014, 03:26:44 PM
The price will recover. Volatility though is still a valid argument for bitcoin haters.
234  Other / Meta / Re: It's Time For Theymos To Kill The Alt Section on: February 02, 2014, 11:39:31 AM
26 out of the first 40 "Recent Updated Topics" right now are about alt-coins.

I 'm not saying that the alt coin section should be killed but it's definetaly getting harder and harder to read something about bitcoin in this forum.

You can ignore the board in your preferences.

As i said i don't want for the alt section to be killed altogether. I 'm looking mostly for measures like the giveaway ban, to shift the main focus of this forum back to bitcoin.

But then again you are a prime dice signature spammer so you don't really care about what i said. You just want to make yet another useless post.
235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: February 02, 2014, 08:40:18 AM
Don't you think at least 2 people from the industry would like to be on a project that makes the world a better, more fair place?

They require a community, large investments in time and resources as well as a dream for a better world.

So how much the "better world" will cost? $20 million?  Lips sealed

Alt coins are good for speculation so removing the alt section isn't going to kill the alt coin scene or even make any difference at all.
It just means that people will move to another forum.
