Personally, i fail to see where the fuss is with mintpal's change to the voting. All they've done is change everything by a factor of five. The ONLY difference now, is you can't split your hourly votes between a number of coins. That's all. Each vote still counts the same Each paid vote costs effectively the same amount It's as simple as that. So, get back voting and move us up the list again! :-)

Great news to see the 3rd Subway on board! Also, in the next couple of hours I'd expect to see Mintpal pushing 3000 votes! https://www.mintpal.com/voting#NLGPS - do we have any stats on how many people have actually bought sandwiches with NLG?

I've been mining GLD for the last 10 days or more, so have a nice healthy stash here, alongside the coins I've bought, but, it's just occurred to me.... The dev's are giving out 100 coins per head of population..... Unless we see some SERIOUS price rise here, (current value $0.07 per 100) then where's the local, every day person, adoption going to come from? It won't be for the people queuing up for their 7c's of coins. In the mean time, keep voting on Mintpal - https://www.mintpal.com/voting#NLGWe're less than 200 votes behind EFL! Mining GLD? I guess you mean NLG, right? Sure did! A touch of heatstroke will do that to you!

It would be good to see a few more votes coming through on Mintpal here, especially as Subway no2 has been announced! Moving rapidly up the voting list would get the attention of others, and help advance the coin. https://www.mintpal.com/voting#NLGMintpal votes almost over 2000 now, NLG has overtaken a lot of coins without putting much btc into the votes and the mintpal voting systems has been up for over 3 months now? So NLG has a lot of catching up to do. I've just taken the voting over 2000! Who's with me to try and get this to 3000 by the end of the weekend? That's only 20 people voting 10 times over the next 36 hours!

-> Come on to http://gns.coins4everyone.com!Our pool is UP and RUNNING!To get plenty of Genesis Coins, just point your miners to: Stratum: stratum+tcp://stratum.coins4everyone.comPort: 3474Come on, we need more hash power, point your miners to our pool and lets spread hashrate! ;-)It's a shame your pool went down overnight for a good 10 hours or more. I can't afford to leave my rigs pointed there for such downtime. On another note, I see ther genesiscoin website doesn't work, and that my wallet won't update, even with the latest peers.dat file.... Has this coin ran it's final days???

It would be good to see people voting on mintpal.com too. Personally, I've put in nearly all the votes from 800-850 myself. It costs nothing to vote five times an hour. If 100 of us do this, 10 times a day, that's 5,000 votes a day, and after a couple of weeks of moving up the Mintpal chart, people would really start to take notice!

Should I be impressed that I'm ranked as No1 on this pool? LOL

Just voted this to 800+ on mintpal, and I've got my rigs pointed here too! There should be some serious notice taken of nlg, it's not every day a worldwide brand sits up and takes notice of crypto!

People - don't worry about the price of the coin right now..... If just "1 person" wanted, they could "crash" the price to 40 SAT right now by selling their 2m coins......
The truth is, this is still at the very beginning of the coin. There's no real volume yet, and the current price is irrelevant.
Build the community from the ground up, and this will flourish!

Firstly, a big THANKS for the extra 1m Comm which I received this morning.
Secondly, good to see the dev talking about hardcoding this 200m loss into the wallet.
For any of you who were involved with Etoken, you would have seen the same thing happen there, where the coin was taken over after the dev did a bunk, and the community took over, hardcoding the "bank" coins into the wallet, rendering them unusable.
I'm no programmer, but it's been done before, so it can definitely be done again, for the benefit of the COMMunity!

Just a re-post.... can someone help out / advise? Thnx

Just thought I'd check in on how the thread's turned out / how the coin's done over the last few weeks since was the first person to expose a range of problems with the DEV and this coin (I was the guy who actually spoke with the government department that the DEV said he'd already contacted to help with distribution, and they had no idea whatsoever about what was going on, pointed out his false phone number, and a few other problems as well)
I think it's rather fitting that the price has crashed like a stone. At around 1 Euro per person value, do you really think the DEV is going to distribute the coins come the "airdrop" day? Are people even going to bother to claim them? There's absolutely no interest in the coin over here, no media coverage, no local word of mouth interest, nothing at all.
And as for spending the pre-mine, which was, from the outset, not going be touched at all..... until the dev "changed his mind"
Anyway, to anyone who's trading these - that's your prerogative - it's just a shame that the Cyprus name has been used for something as shameful as this.

I watched the price drop yesterday, quite a bit - how many have you seen the news about what happened to FairCoin?
They're a 100% POS coin too, and were subject to a 51% attack - the chain forked, the cunning f*cker generated a shed load of forked coins, then dumped the hell out of them on any exchange he could, plummeting the price. Everyone who bought the cheap forked coins will loose them, and at the same time, the dumper walks off with all their BTC.
Whilst I'm not up on the technical aspects, what's to stop the same happening here? I ask because the drop in price happened at the exact same time as Faircoin's issues. Clearly some holders had the same thoughts as me. It's a serious matter as I'm sure you appreciate.

Cutting the 30 Billion coins to 7.5 Billion, effectively now makes the pre-mine 4% rather than 1%.
How much of the pre-mine is left in the coffers? Do you have a plan to mitigate this % increase in pre-mine?
I've been mining this for a while now, and I like the changes you've proposed, but this just stuck out to me.

Not only did I receive my coins, today I saw my first POS coins too - a nice 826 coin bonus!
