Thanks! Since you're giving away 1 000 000 IFC, that means you have to make 1000 transfers. Must be a lot of work!

A suggestion on a way that you can improve: the download web-site that served the wallet program had a pop-up ad. I don't like pop-ups. But good job on having Win, Mac and Linux support!

If a bitcoin does ever get up to $100 000 000, it seems like there would be a lot more vigorous attempts to hack the currency. I wonder if bitcoin can even stand up to such an onslaught?

Welcome aboard!
I'm a newbie too, and haven't yet made the jump to building my own mining rig, but I'm interested to hear how everything goes for you. If you discover any interesting tips or tricks, be sure to let us know (or not, if you want to keep your competitive advantage!)

Grinderman is really the poster giving the best advice here. If you only have $1000 to spend, you need to spread your investment.
Since it's just a thousand, I would probably be a little more bullish on the niche currencies, though. I think that going for about 1000 of maybe 10 or 20 different new currencies could yield a major windfall down the road. Some people have also been talking about how BTC is the most widely accepted, forgetting that you are doing this as an INVESTMENT, not to make purchases. Best of luck.
