Take your time pick a coin read about the project, go to their social media, go to their tg, read about the developers and above all go to the exchanges where its traded and observe it movement using the candle sticks

most times when tokens are not fully sold they usually get burnt and other times they are usually kept but locked for future plans such as development purposes. At times they keep it just so they can use it to drive the price of their tokens after burning so as to reduce total supply amd increase circulating supply.

I think i also buy the idea of ICO dying and big centralize exchanges are in fear of loosing their source of money which is listing fees as stated above by the OP. But i also think that one of the major reason for IEOs is to tackle the flaws of ICOs and to limit scam projects in the market.

I think IMO, IEO is the new ICO. the only difference is the fact that ICOs are done in house in most cases and IEOs are hosted by exchanges. The same goals applies for both of them and that is, to raise funds for the development of the project. The major advantage IEO has over ICO IMO is the fact that exchange listing for the said project is sure.

ICO was very important at a time, but scammers spoilt it. We have good developers out there with brilliant ideas but no means or funds to bring the idea to light but ICO helped many of them. So i see no reason why i should hate ICO but for the only fact that scammers came and spoilt the ICO industry

Yeah, IEOs was created to tackle the short comings of ICOs. IEOs are usually backed by exchanges and these exchanges has taken it upon themselves, to vet this projects and also assure investors of listing after the IEO. This is a strong point that shows how ICOs are the stories of the past and IEOs is the present story
