I read (in this topic) that he "stole" the logo design from another designer?  It's something that can be fixed, so I contacted him again in the hope he is still interested. I read a lot of things in these threads too and a lot of them turn out not to be true. Shoulda taken that up with him directly, but no use dwelling in the past I suppose. |

I think of some "small" features / improvements to keep the word alive till FRESH online will be launched:
some ideas:
- new logo
- new OP
- website update
- gui wallet
- IRC channel
- more exchanges

I'm not sure why people are so quick to devalue Plankton. The sell pressure is just scaring investors and pushing the price down. Basically getting nothing for their FOOD. Oh well...
I think the problem is that the coin got moved to a real exchange too quickly (as odd as that sounds). Usually with cheapo/freebie types of coins they linger on allcoin/crypt/whatever for several weeks, at least, where all the weak hands sell off for a couple of sats. So by the time the coin gets to bittrex or a real exchange, there isn't so much dumping. Here it didn't spend very long on the dinky exchanges before going right to bittrex, so all of those .01 ipo people started to get impatient. People also hold if they start MintPal voting, with the idea it'll pump even more once it gets there. But with MP stopping the voting thing, it's Polo or Cryptsy, and Polo voting tends to be a bit weird (one per user and that's it). Don't think people have the patience to wait for that. You probably need to add some inherent value to the coin, if you really want to see it move up. These contests and such are fine, but absent any unique code features in the coin, you need to create a purpose for it. Coinpayments, some site accepting it as a currency, something. Based on the number of coins, it certainly should be worth more than it currently is. But it needs more than plankton images, however nice they may be, and contests. Very interesting, I didn't realize MP stopped their voting. I've noticed that their volume has vanished since the hack. I'm pretty sure Bittrex pulls higher volume than Cryptsy now as well so no wonder people dumped when it landed on Bittrex. Imagine if we could get on BTC-e??  But yeah I agree 100%, I'm not too worried about the price, it can't drop much lower without someone scooping up a large portion of the supply (meaning the dumper will get peanuts). I'm primarily focusing on social media and services. Currently, we're devising two games (one app and one web game) and I think we'll be on a casino soon as well. Just waiting for a response. Also this is to everyone, please let me know of any deserving communities that would benefit from receiving FOOD. I think we should start our adoption  Try getting on coinverted.com it's where you buy stuff with cryptos. If Pandacoin (PND) could get listed there at one point so can FOOD. It's worth a shot. |

Some decent buying action on C-Cex and even Bittrex today.
The people dumping are not long term investors. It is more likely that they are used to following p&d's and need to sell in order to follow the next one.
It did not get pumped as some expected due in part to the dev who put the brakes on any pump by holding back on hyping the coin and staying somewhat aloof to work on to work on new features.
I feel that dev is not out to "get rich quick" and kill the coin and has become somewhat reputable among people following this thread.
It's obvious that that dev has their wits about them and intends to see this through to a point where he does see a reward for that effort.
And I can't think of a more undervalued coin right now than Ascent but with TOR implementation coming that will all change.
