221  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Would you do KYC for a bounty hunt? on: July 22, 2018, 08:31:02 PM
I am a bit scared that  some ICOs and recently a well-known bounty management group have decided to ask for KYC for bounty hunters. For me, that puts me on the spot of choosing if I want to risk to send my documents on line for not much money or just decide that I should not do any bounty.

The worst thing is that sometimes the KYC is asked after the promotion is done. For me that is just blackmail. What would you say if I agree with you to pay you 300$ to paint my fence and once you finish I decide that I will only pay you if you give me your address, copies of your documents and a picture of your wife or husband.

i agree with you, ico should include kyc verification as part of the requirements of completing a successful bounty from the very beginning of the bounty campaign, that will give the bounty hunter opportunity to make a choice to eith participate or not, bringing forth kyc as a prerequisite for getting reward at the end of a bounty if fraudulent and negate the true practice of fair play, but on the other hand, kyc helps eliminate multiple account creation by a single hunter.
222  Economy / Economics / Re: Beliefs about money and wealth on: July 22, 2018, 07:12:06 PM
Millionaires are greedy, that is why they become millionaires.
this is not 100% true, millionaires are millionaires because they spent time to think about news ways of delivering on their objectives, they are innovative, dedicative and creative, time is a very important element for a millionaire. they are industrialist with an entrepreneurial mindset, goal getters and pace setters.
offcourse debts are bad, there has never been anything as a good debt.

224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest into Bitcoin or bank on: July 22, 2018, 03:56:48 PM
the banking system is not an investment, it just a means to save ones money thats all, you dont expect to get return on investment by saving your money in a bank account. Bitcoin is a good example of investment whereby your get roi on a price increment. I would rather invest in bitcoin and earn profit than to allow my money wallow away in a bank's saving account.
225  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto currency in five years! on: July 21, 2018, 09:24:19 PM
yes crypto currency is gradually creeping into the system of things and gaining prominence as the day go bye, thats a very good step, but going forward in five years time, crypto currency would have gained more ground but not to the point where we can say it has completely integrate into the system of things. the blockchain potential will be fully harness by the government, but the government will not openly welcome crypto currency in five years time.
226  Economy / Economics / Re: Why all people moan about the price of bitcoin? on: July 21, 2018, 07:09:23 AM
people moan about bitcoin price because of the role bitcoin play in the crypto currency market, bitcoin is the market leader and as such bitcoin activities affect other coins, when bitcoin price drops other coin prices drops but when bitcoin price goes up other coins prices does not go up along side bitcoin, thats why  investors tends to frown at bitcoin's activities knowing fully well that other coins fate reply deeply on bitcoin success or failure.

228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your attitude to this? on: July 20, 2018, 09:59:45 AM
good morning and thanks for your candid opinion, but the reason why people prefer bitcoin to altcoin, same reason goes to me too is that despite the volatility of bitcoin, it has this feature of bouncing back to track after suffering a fall, this feature is rarely found in altcoins, bitcoin is a store of value, an asset, while altcoin to me is just a means to an end but not an end in itself. yes there are some altcoin that has stand the test of time and been able to stay competitive, but such coins are very rare.
229  Economy / Economics / Re: Investment in Bitcoin vs Investment in Education? on: July 20, 2018, 06:37:19 AM
investment in both areas are very important, both work hand in hand. Education like they say is the bed rock of any nation, meaning an uneducated nation is a failed nation. An uneducated person may be unable to predict and invest in bitcoin, an uneducated person may not be ascertain when to and when not to invest. I think the reason why people get disappointed is that they tends to see education as a tool to achieve socio economic emancipation, but it does not always end that way and as such people tends to loose interest. education is rather a tool for self development, not neccesarily to get you a white collar job. bitcoin on its own can caterpault an individual from want to affluence, both are very important investment to hold dear and investment in without comparison.

231  Economy / Economics / Re: What would happen to banks? on: July 19, 2018, 08:12:37 PM
Many says that banks would become obsolete if cryptocurrency would take over the world in the future, but i guess not. Here are some of my assumptions on what would be the situation of banks in the future with cryptocurrency.

1. INVESTMENT
Banks will take an advantage to cryptocurrency using it as their main source of investment. They say, if you cant beat them, join them and bank owners  would do everything to fit into new society of financing to find clients on the new generation and still earn from them. Instead of UITFs or mutual funds, they would go for crypto investments.

2. CURRENCY
Or perhaps i would say a dollar account. As far as i know, banks offers a local currency account and a dollar account which can be used for international transactions such as shipment or travel. On the cryptocurrency era, there would be a local currency, dollar , and cryptocurrency account which probably an electronic account. Dollar wouldnt be a big hit that time because crypto can function the same and more effecient to do.

3. LOANS
Who can say that you can only loan fiat on banks? When the time comes, bank can offer crytpocurrency loans which can be used as an investment, business or buying something on cryptocurrency market. Im sure all items can be purchased using crypto that time including cars and real estates. So getting some cryptoloan wouldnt be a problem.

4. SAVINGS
ofcourse, the most wanted of them all. Who.doesnt want any security for their treasured cryptocirrency earnings? Banks which has the main function of keeping your money secured would offer crypto savings which produces interest over time. Preventing scams and hackers that we all afraid of.

As you see, banks would rather adopt than being extinct. Its like those businesses who innovates when society changes. If cryptocurrency overpower the economy, they should go with the flow to survive
well said, your analysis are factual, for sure, join them if you cant beat them and that will be the scenero when crypto finally takes center stage, the banks will have no option than to fit in to the new system of finance else risk fissling out completely from the financial business.
232  Economy / Economics / Re: The Future of Cryptocurrency on: July 19, 2018, 01:19:34 PM
cyptocurrency has a very lucrative future, i believe in the nearest future there is going to be millions of coins, i believe every person, country, province,
every company, every organisation, every project, every person can issue a token, some of the tokens will be valuable while other may not. Th future economy of blockhain and cryto currency will be huge.
233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [Pre-ANN][ICO] WONO - P2P Exchange or Rent of Any Assets and Services on: July 19, 2018, 01:56:16 AM
a very nice and promising project. keep up the good work.
234  Economy / Economics / Re: Government regulation on cryptocurrency, GOOD or BAD? on: July 19, 2018, 01:32:17 AM
i will say it a very good thing for government to step in and regulate cryptocurrency activities, that has always been the duty of government, to regulate and checkmate, in order to prevent abuse and citizens falling victims to scam and fraud,
235  Economy / Economics / Re: Beside Cryptocurrenices where would you invest? on: July 18, 2018, 03:48:03 PM
If i am not investing in bitcoin alternatively i will channel my investment to real estate, reasons been that there are lots of opportunity areas in real estate and lots of untapped potentials in the sectors. An investment in such sector will continually yield interest for it investor.
236  Economy / Economics / Re: Wise thing to do with your savings. on: July 18, 2018, 06:19:43 AM
the wisest thing to do with one's saving is to invest it, i mean whats the use of one's money in a savings, current or fixed deposit account when one could invest such money in a cryptocurrency ico and get better return than any banking system's savings could accrue. it is more wise to invest than to save.
237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [Pre-ANN][ICO] WONO - P2P Exchange or Rent of Any Assets and Services on: July 18, 2018, 05:26:27 AM

238  Economy / Economics / Re: Does money make you rich? on: July 18, 2018, 04:43:54 AM
To me the answer is No. Money alone doesn't make an individual rich. A lot of people go to work everyday, working for money and making more money, but fail to become richer. Ironically, many only grow deeper in debt.we have all heard stories of lottery winners who are instantly poor again. Also there are cases of real estate going into foreclosure instead of making homeowners richer. We all know of persons who have lost money investing in the stock market. Maybe you are one of those individuals who have lost money investing on cryptocurrency,Bitcoin to be precise. Even investing in gold(real money) can cost the investor money

For all intents and purposes, it is not business, estates, stocks, bitcoin (crypto currency) or money that makes a person rich. It is information, wisdom, knowledge that makes one wealthy.
to some extent you maay be right but am of a varying opinion, of a true, information is power, but there are individuals that has got information but does not have the finance to act on such information. We have read in economics cases where two individual, a rich one with no idea and a poor one with  business idea comes together to form a joint stock company. Information alone cannot get you there, information backed by money is power.
239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How useful is bounty programs to the overall success of icos? on: July 17, 2018, 05:21:52 AM
bounty programs are very important to the overall success of any ico, because bounty programs serves as publicity and a medium to reach other prospective investors who has the finance to invest but hasnt gotten the right source to do so. Bounty programs serves as an intermediary between ico and prospectives investors through the engagement of bounty hunters.
240  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's suppose that Bitcoin became universal (used everywhere you go) on: July 15, 2018, 09:08:58 PM
thats the goal right? for bitcoin to be universally acceptable and used for transactions. lets forget the government they always know how to get their taxes. if that been tghe case, a new blockchain system can be developed that will make bitcoin taxable.
