221  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bituary.com a legit exchange? on: December 14, 2019, 01:54:53 PM
Unfortunately i have not traded on this exchange before but a rule of thumb for you if it has not been in this industry for more than 2years becareful how you store your cryptocurrencies over there because they could hit the exit scam button at any point in time. So many exchanges are collapsing so you have to be really carefull. I trade on only the top 20 exchanges just to save myself from such circumstances
222  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Is your Android Wallet secure? Most of the 37 wallets should scare you! on: December 14, 2019, 10:21:47 AM
We've been working on walletscrutiny.com for about two months now as a side project and hope to see many wallets that are currently "only" open source to care more about verification and make it into the "verifiable" category.

With the community's support, this project could turn into a permanent thing, with new versions being checked as they are being published and we certainly would also expand to other platforms and more attributes to look at.

Currently, being verifiable unfortunately doesn't mean that anybody would verify any code and we also have ideas how to fix that.

Any feedback welcome

OMG! this post really scared the shit out of me looking at the numerous number of wallets that are not verifiable. Not even a whole blockchain wallet. Thanks a lot for this info guys, i will keep an eye on your website for further developments. I noticed you did not review Trust wallet though it is one of the widely used cryptocurrency wallet. Also can you consider the review of these hardware wallets in the near future?
223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You don't want Bitcoin, You don't want Future :-\ on: December 14, 2019, 10:12:41 AM
Let us face the reality, people are scared about the high volatility of bitcoin. Just imagine by\uying into bitcoin at its all time high in December 2017. Do you know how such buyers are feeling at the moment? The future of bitcoin is blurres and i can only imagine it as an asset of store of value other a global accepted currency. This i think could be the future of bitcoin

These days all these giveaways site are fake and might take your confidential information, stay away from these sites. Work in the crypto industry and you will earn for yourself bitcoin
225  Economy / Economics / Re: From 2020, the sale and custody of Bitcoin will be allowed to all German banks on: December 13, 2019, 07:54:24 AM
Finally Germany has also join the train of countries that would allow the use of Bitcoin. I know most of us are rather much interested in bitcoin being accepted as a mode of payment but let's not jump ahead of things. I know once that their banks have opened in using bitcoin i believe they would find a way to use bitcoin as a medium of exchange in the future.
226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CMC and coingecko on: December 13, 2019, 07:21:41 AM
Both Coinmarketcap and Coingecko are good resource tools that i believe every crypto enthusiasts rely on to check the stats of any cryptocurrency. The difference that i have noted among the two is that Coinmarketcap only lists cryptocurrencies that are being traded on at least two exchanges but coingecko list any coin which has been launched into this space. I don't really know what metrics that coingecko really uses, anybody cares to share with me?
227  Economy / Economics / Re: Can online platforms like Youtube and Facebook really be decentralized? on: December 12, 2019, 09:11:25 PM
Lol, leave these greedy folks out of a transparent and decentralized ecosystem. I don't know much off Youtube but definitely Zuckerberg is not the kind of person who will cherish entrusting power to the people. Facebook is the controlling type of platform, these days everything is regulated and you have to pay to boost your views when you make a post.
228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin really still decentralized?? on: December 12, 2019, 09:00:18 PM
Bitcoin is still decentralized mate if not it might have suffered from a 51% attack by now. Just because many folks have it in larger quantity does not mean that bitcoin is not decentralized. Among all the coins in this industry, bitcoin is one of the cryptocurrency that can boast of full security and decentralization. Keep in note that, all these huge mining farms are there to keep the network stable from hackers. Can you count the number of coins that have been hacked successfully? Please spare us this FUD!
229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Speculation will drive the btc ride further as always on: December 12, 2019, 04:22:13 PM
No offence at OP but currently speculation alone can't push bitcoin to such crazy prices again. We need more people using bitcoins to increase the demand of it so as to bring the prices up. Another thing that can also help increase the price of bitcoin is the halving of bitcoin block reward come May 2020. These are some of the factors that i think can bring real value to bitcoin in the nearest future.

232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the faith of Scammers if bitcoin later becomes a traceable Currency. on: December 06, 2019, 01:17:08 AM
What do you mean by saying "if bitcoin later becomes a traceable currency"  are you trying to say if the exact locations of people using Bitcoin can be traceable or mean the transaction details can be traceable ? While for transactions made of the bitcoin blockchain network, it can be easily traced but for the locations of people making transactions on the network, it is quite untraceable since a lot of people using Bitcoins use vpn to mask their  IP addresses. This means that scammers have nothing really to be worried.

236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to invest my $1.5K? on: November 30, 2019, 03:26:47 AM
i have got around $1500 to invest in coins which coins do you guys suggest to invest in for quick money ? a year ago I have invested in STRAT and Sia and I lost big amounts and regret investing in those coins.

I'm thinking of investing $1k into BTC as its low risk but I would like to risk the the other $500 with a coin that I can make quick money with it

The key principle to investing in cryptocurrencies is knowing and understand the core factors that influence the pattern at which the prices of most cryptocurrencies changes. You also need to have enough knowledge about the entire crypto market. Having enough knowledge about the entire crypto market will help you know what crypto coin to invest in and what not to invest in. Knowledge and understanding are the essential tools for investing in cryptocurrencies. I might suggest a coin for you but without knowledge and understanding, you are likely to invest and not make any profits and even lose the capital use to invest. If you want to be a successful investor, you should try to gain knowledge about the entire crypto market before investing.
237  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who has entered a shop (non-BTC accepting) and asked if they will accept Crypto? on: November 29, 2019, 11:55:52 PM
personally, I have never tried that because in my country, just a hand full of people are aware of the existence of bitcoin and the entire crypto space and they are either investors or are daily traders. So why waste my time asking shops whether they accept bitcoin. Bitcoin is really not known by a lot of people around the world as you may think. The entire crypto ecosystem and cryptocurrencies need to be promoted to help create massive awareness all around the entire globe.
238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are so few women buying into Bitcoin? on: November 29, 2019, 11:45:03 PM
First and foremost, you need to understand that Bitcoin has not gotten to that level where people with no knowledge about the entire crypto space will understand what bitcoin is and how it is used just by introducing it to them. Most women usually are not interested in things they either don't have knowledge about or don't understand.  Mass adoption is the only way that can get a lot of women into the crypto space and make them start using bitcoin for their transactions.
239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: French National TV Starts Advertising Bitcoin on: November 29, 2019, 10:29:49 PM
It is always great to see some level of promotion to increase the awareness of the existence of Bitcoin but my major worry is that this kinda promotions do not really educate people on what bitcoin is and how different it is from existing traditional payment system. People will not accept to use something which they do not really understand what it is. In as much that there are other advert of Bitcoin, the adoption of it is very slow. Once people get to understand the nature of Bitcoin, adoption will be fast and easier.
240  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest Shopping Mall in USA Goes All in BTC ATMs for Holiday on: November 29, 2019, 10:20:45 PM
This is actually a nice way to introduce bitcoin to people who have no idea what it is and how it works. Introducing Bitcoin ATM there will increase the curiosity of people to know what it is and how is it different from another payment system. Others might see the Bitcoin ATM as a big waste of time but personally I think that is a good way to increase the awareness of Bitcoin.  Bitcoin ATM will be a physical representation of Bitcoin.
