But Scryp Asics with real improvement over Gpu may not happened in a close future.
May be Vertcoin can have some success anyway.
I was under similar impression, but we have folks on this very forum with greedseeds already. More and more will get their hands on it after Feb 10. http://hashra.com/gridseed-6000-kh-s-asic-scrypt-sha-miner/I did not see a huge improvement in hashing power with thoses modules. Of course it's smaller, quiter, and less consuming, but I'm not sure I'll go this way if I'll have to chose right now between thoses chips and a traditional rig. The asics revolution seems not so close.

The Scrypt Asics that are shipped deliver less Hashpower per dollar, but did not use much power. Far from a revolution from now.

mintcoin-qt -server mintcoind walletpassphrase <passphrase> <unlock_duration_in_seconds> true
Where should I paste thoses commands that are in first post?
first one in a cmd Window to open wallet second one in a debug window of the wallet Thank you. The first one did well.

Windows 7: Wallet does not sync to network at all. Suggestions? Just a crap wallet build?
may be that: The problem is clearly the .conf file.
If you don't do the tweak on windows, your .conf file is a .conf.txt file, even if you don't notice the .txt, and so it didn't work. In your "file option" in windows, you should uncheck the 'hide extension for known files", and then remove the .txt extention that appears.

Things will get way better if someone manage to run a P2P-pool.

I'm keeping my wallet open from yesterday, but the "Stake" field is always 0.00 MINT...
It's necessary solo mining to make minting???
I'm not sure the PoS is already started: may be the PoS and its interests start at the end of the mining process.

It was the same on Coins4everyone pool. Strange, but secure.

I didn't back it up . I never had an issue with this sort of thing in the past. How can my old wallet.dat be gone if I didn't touch it? It can't. I don't know what could happened. I read on the forum about a tool to try to recover the old adress, but can't remember the name.
|
|
|
Are you sure you did not delete any file? I assume your adress is store in the wallet.dat file. If you deleted it, it's over.

Several people have reported not being paid from the zenet pool. I have removed it from the list, temporarily or definitively, until clarification.
http://mnt.coins4everyone.com/index.php this pool is really nice. I don't think you can find better. I'm not related or gaining anything to promote it, but seriously it did well and is stable with fast payments.

The other option is to copy someone-else file in your folder.

There is a bug: no pools are working. Everybody is stuck. Nothing to do but wait.
|
|
|
Maybe you should increase the miners revenue because without them the game won't exist anymore.
Many people want to mine and can't because there is no pool. It's more the lack of pool that need to be solved I think.

Yes, the pool seems very nice, and stable.
I was surprised about the delay for blocks to be confirmed, and supect it could be a network issue. Anyway, waiting a couple of hours in not an issue as long as everything ended up correctly.
Thanks for your answer.
