Bitcoin investment is like a two-edged sword, it is like any risky investment, such as stock, option or commodity trading. It can make you a lot of fortune, it can make you bankrupt, it all depends on how you use it.

1 sec blocks are bit too fast, if we have a slow machine or slow internet connect, it will have problems to sync with the network. Why we use so fast blocktime? To be used in the real life transactions?

Newbie launched ICO, what can you expect? There are so many newbie launched ICOs recently, I really have impression that some high school assign their students some projects to get quick and easy money, lol.

It will certainly be a great year for big coin! 4 days already appreciated 20%, lol. Thanks to Chinese who try to smuggle their currency out, now it has a restriction, so bitcoin is the best choice for them to move money around.

Not sure how Paypal can integrate with the bitcoin. Paypal is strongly reversible, they reverse a lot transactions, but bitcoin's transaction is final and irreversible. So it will be tough for them to integrate...

Offline wallet on encrypted disk, is probably the best you can do. Online wallets are unsafe, there are so many hacks around them, especially the value is high as now, hackers are more motivated.

Wow, bit coin last trades at $1122 at coindesk, so great! I think we should thank Chinese, who has restrictions to export their money, thus bought plenty of bitcoins, in order to hide their gray income, lol.

Of course the usage of bitcoin will reduce the demand of fiat. However, bitcoin with its limited supply, will more become the cyber gold than a real currency, I think central banks at some point will issue their own currencies to partially replace the fiat.

I am wondering one thing... In second round distribution. If I get in 1. round 1GBYTE and then I purchase another 1GBYTE will I get in second distribution 0.2GBYTE (cause I have 2GBYTE) or only 0.1GBYTE (because I got 1GBYTE in first distribution)?
You will get bytes according to what's on your linked addresses. Your 2 GB should be on BB linked addresses, they can be on the same one or on different addresses, as long as they are on linked addresses, they will count for the distribution. Great, thank you for your answer, I thought so but wasn't 100% sure. Definitely encourages people to buy and hold, an interesting model for sure. We need Byteball on some other exchanges though. Yes I am wondering why the other exchanges not accepting byteballs, those big ones, bittrex, poloniex, etc, they listed so many shitcoins, why not listing good ones like this. Possibly only shitcoin pay them listing fees.

Wow, Serious project? Dont make me laugh, you guys are scared to reveal your identity and here you are collecting free money from fools. your roadmap is so shitty that even coins without ICO can do it.
there is nothing innovating that your coins has to offer that its not even worth spending to either you guys are here for a quick money or hoping you can scam millions of dollars
Exactly, some time ago, those who want to cheat some money at least put their pictures up with linkedin or facebook accounts, and with escrow. Now coins with nothing new run by anonymous newbies try to get 100s and 1000s bitcoin without even reveal anything. Do they really think investors are so low IQ? or they themselves (newbie "devs") are really low IQ?

I've seen at least 20 ICOs launched by newbies in the last 2-3 weeks, looks like new year all the high school student come out and try to collect easy money from investors... way to go

There are dangers of course, being hacked, network disturbance or down can have a severe effect on people's daily life. But I am sure the availability and redundancy of the system will be much better than what we have today.

Selling blackbyte for white. 4 to 1. Up to 500 GB black for 125 GB white.
Lol, that's true, we don't have markets for blackbyte yet, the exchange should create one, but with direct connection it will be more work to implement I guess.

newbie started ico, again and again, what do you say? I counted 20 in the last 2-3 weeks, so desperate to grab some easy money...

Playing with it and bought some BTC, but transfer BTC has a fee of 0.2 BTC?? Must be a bug. 0.2 XTR fee is fine, but not BTC. Pretty cool coin, web wallet looks good.

I am wondering how the payout rates are defined in 1xBit.com, are they the same as other sport betting site such as Bovoda, Sportsbetting.com etc? I asked this question a week ago, but did not get any answer...
It is a great site, by the way.

lol so funny, but exactly reflects all these newbie launched ICOs. These newbies are very desperate and trying to grab a few bucks quick and easy. So many in the last few weeks, I doubt how much they will get if any, hope there are more dumb investors out there.

interesting...newbie account..... BTC price goes up...number of ICO scams goes up....nuff said
Typical newbie launched ICO seeking quick and easy money. I read someone said there's a high school project going on, that's why so many high school students create these scams hoping for a buck or two. I think "investors" are not as dumb as the students...

Bitcoin Price Starts 2017 Right; Conquers $1,000 on Day OneA New Year means new goals and new possibilities. Everyone should have a goal to reach for the year to come, and we hope you reach your goals in 2017. Bitcoin has its own goals, but Bitcoin tends to be ahead of the curve when it comes to what it can do, especially when it comes to the Bitcoin price. 2017 has proven no different. http://bitcoinist.com/bitcoin-price-2017-1000-day-one/ Way to go! Hope bitcoin will hit $2000 in 2017! Bitcoin is still in its early days, with more and more people getting interested in it the price will appreciate further. And since it is deflationary coin, its price will go up even with inflation.

I guess it's the same as a password, if you forget about the seed phrase then it is dead. There will be no way to retrieve the bitcoins in wallet. The most secure way is to store your bitcoin in an offline wallet and keep in encrypt drive.
