221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [Rt2] ·rotoCoin· [1%IPO][DGW][N-Factor] · 288k Only - Launched! on: March 24, 2014, 12:33:34 PM
We didn't premine any block for us, you could check at the blockexplorer.

Simple question.
If you didn't release the wallets or nodes or have anything ready in time, who was mining the coins I see in the BlockExplorer?
Why could you not release crucial elements of your coin due to development issues yet had no issues processing POW algorithms?
If you can't answer directly then I take it as dishonesty. You know respect is gained from truthfullness. If you made a mistake and did pre-min or had friends pre-mine, you'd do better coming clean than ignoring valid questions like mine?
Until there's an answer I'll continue to ask again and again - so let's get this over with now? Smiley
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [Rt2] ·rotoCoin· [1%IPO][DGW][N-Factor] · 288k Only - Launched! on: March 22, 2014, 08:14:40 PM
Sorry for the delay. We wanted to improve the code, making merkle hash from 22:00, and cutting block maturity.

Explain what this means and why you thought it'd take 5 minutes.

Then we started genesis block, we found it. Doing the compilation something failed.

What failed exactly? Because coins were mined up to block 75 or so.

We wanted to fix it, because the other wallets looks better and have more features. Time was up, and we wanted to solve it.

So was it because of something failing or the other wallet looking better? Also, was delaying everyone worth it when you had a fallback plan? How does the wallet effect the nodes, released so slowly?

At the end END  OF WHAT?  we decided to release the version from yesterday.

At that moment we were on a hurry and github got screwed.

Please elaborate on this - Github broke?

Then we had to upload the source to mega and release it from there. Again we are sorry for the big delay.

How did getting yesday's prepared file and uploading it to Mega take so long? Why the password?

...as miners we feel ashamed for the big delay and for not being able to release all the stuff that we had ready to release....

As miners, why did you slowly release nodes over time, with the initial node not showing a ping, thje 2nd node being the IP of the first node etc?
Also, as miners, why would you think we'd support such a coin?

...We'll keep working the whole night to release the real wallets. ..

Don't bother. We don't care about the features of a team which is incompetent.

Again let me explain myself. Yesterday we did a test with the wallet that right now it's released. Block maturity was set to 120 blocks. With a block time of 288s while doing the test we realized that base maturity was so high and we wanted to change the value to 90. At the same time, we wanted to adjust merkle hash because at block 13 (aprox 1h) DGW kicks in. If you put a merkle hash from let's say a week then you find a whole bunch of blocks until dif retargets properly. Then we compiled the daemon, found the genesis block and while compiling the linux wallet we got an issue.
We tried to find the issue, but we couldn't fine it. Time went up.  We thought it was a matter of ten minutes to solve the problem with the wallet. At the end we did not want to abort the launch because pretty much the code was the same and we decided to release our older wallet.
Bitcointalk was down, so we decided to release a wallet with password to IRC, Twitter and wait to Bitcointalk. We didn't want a ninja launch for that reason we were saying constantly at twitter that the wallet was with password to prevent that. Once Bitcointalk went up again we released everything.

We had to change everything for that reason we had no more nodes at that time.
Maybe you don't care but our community cares. We are sorry because we weren't expecting this to happen.

What community?
Look I'll give it to you, you're good with words and stay calm - a good PR man.
Let me ask you directly, b/c you keep skirting around the question:
DURING THE LAUNCH DELAYS GOING ON ... WHO WAS MINING AND HOW WERE THEY DOING SO?

I don't buy it because every other launch has the following ready:
* nodes
* RPC port
* P2P port
* conf file example

Also the fact we've seen it a million times before and there is no community. You're not dogecoin. You have no Shibes to fall back on. It's some guy from 4chan. Who comes up when wallet launches.
That guy... he's your community. That's it man.

Get a grip. This greedy pre-mine shit is infuriating because you're so, so, so sorry but the fact remains people had working wallets from genesis block, no?

Maybe I am wrong - but if so that is actually worse...
because you're not sneaky, you're incompetent and don't know it's the case.

Roto needs to reach AUR peak prices to be minimally profitable, looks like it's shaping up to be 0.05 per mhs per day if diff keeps growing this fast

LOL, the ipo price is 28.8 per btc this coin is worth about 0.001 288k/by 28.8 = 10k instant markat cap of 50million LOL you got scammed

If you don't like our coin it's fine don't mine it but please don't come here to confuse people.
We had and issue, we were late, we couldn't release our original wallets. We are really sorry for that.
But we are here, we are not going to dump any coin. We are happy that our community understands our situation

What the fuck is your problem? We don't like your coin b/c we couldn't mine it. You've done the confusing by giving a release clock timer on your fucking site and then come up with bullshit about github breaking and needing passwords and nodes LIKE WE HAVEN'T SEEN THIS SHIT BEFORE.
DO YOU THINK WE ARE STUPID?

EVERYONE THIS COIN IS A PIECE OF SHIT SCAM. IF YOU'RE CONFUSED IT'S B/C YOU HAVE BEEN READING THE TWITTER FEED. DON"T EVER EVER EVER GET INVOLVED WITH THIS SHIT

226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BETA][EXCHANGE][REALTIME] CoinEX realtime exchange on: March 18, 2014, 07:33:18 PM
Thanks for being honest!
As i see, you can try to refund some bitcoin losses with cryptostocks shares.
Also, please, provide info about other currencies. Is it only BTC problem?

Jesus tapdancing Christ!
Thank you for having an exchange with security unfit for purpose and once hacked off all funds being honest and offering to sell shares. This is Poloniex handbook right here.

The exchange gets hacked and a sorry is enough? Was the exchange run for charity or as a pure hobby? No! Where are the profits now? Once again failure to invest returns in security empties the users' pockets. Oh but there's a sorry. So it's the same as Mt Gox but the admin admitted to running a shitty service
227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [HVC] Heavycoin - CPU-only, Ultra-secure, Decentralized Voting on: March 14, 2014, 11:40:17 AM
Quick question here if i may,

I've been running the wallet and solo mining for a while now and just noticed i have 2 pending transactions for 657 coins each,if i mouseover the "mined" symbols it says "generated but not accepted, mined" and are awaiting 6 confirmations each...only problem is they seem to have been stuck on unconfirmed for over an hour now,any suggestions?

Thanks

Smiley

Orphans, you found them but so did someone else as well and they were faster to send it into the network. You will not get them confirmed sorry.

Yeah so I've had probably 25 of these or the equivalent of 20000HVC - all unconfirmed. I do gets pieces from a pool and the CONFIRMED total stands at awhopping 22x 1 = 22HVC.
Has anyone successfully solo mined a full block? Absolute bullshit

1.Does this really work?
A.Yes, you will need an internet connection for the bot to make succesful trades however

That's a strange answer. Yes it needs an Internet connection. But does it make money?[\b]

2.What operating systems are supported, and what coins are supported?
B. Every coin in exchange sites is supported, there is a major list of coins supported in the program, but please be aware it might take us a day to add a newly released coin for example a coin that was made yesterday.

3. Any image of this?
C. Check below

4. Can i get banned for using this?
D. None of the users i know got banned for using this, this does not in any way alter the connections it simply does maths and checks with trusted sources and other exchanges for profit surges.

Oh it uses math? Can you be less vague? [\b]

5. Is this really free?
E. Yes, i appeciate donations if you wish to support the project however, the team spends time on it for no salary and only donations keep us going.

That's not a valid BTC address

229  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why MTGOX CEO Mark Karpeles doesn't get charged or jailed on: March 04, 2014, 12:32:13 PM
1. Charlie Shrem is in house arrest the last time I heard. Not jailed.

2. He was arrested almost 4 months after the closure of Silk Road. It took the investigators this long to link Silk Road funds to him and prepare a case against him. Not too long if I come to think about it.

3. Mt.Gox and Karpeles are under investigation in 3 countries US, Japan and Poland.

4. Investigations take time. You can't throw people in jail for suspicion.

5. Does throwing him in jail help the users to recoup their loss? Confiscating his assets and maybe a hefty fine on top seems a more apropriate action IMHO.

All the lost BTC is a combination of 3 things IMO:
1. US Govt seizure in association w SilkRoad (it was the only exchange really used at that time after all)
2. "lost" private keys (be it incompetence or stolen by employees, or both)
3. Transaction malleability bug slowly chipping away - highly likely since MtGox used a txid as their receipt for trades
230  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC Stolen from Poloniex on: March 04, 2014, 12:06:15 PM
So can we see proof of the remaining BTC 517.75 Huh
(if 12.8% ~= BTC 77, 87.2% = 517.75)

That'd go a long way in this MtGox BTC hacking clusterfuck of a trading environment.
231  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC Stolen from Poloniex on: March 04, 2014, 10:46:31 AM
I don't think I've ever seen so many new accounts hype a hack to be the best thing ever.

It really is mindblowing that you are all commending him for not having the basics right in the first place.

But alas, you'll get paid over time right?

Honesty is fantastic.
Competence is even better because some asshole made $50k from a flaw where your system could be overloaded with negatives balances? Why would a negative balance ever be OK?
The new system you describe for future security still needs to notify the admin of unusual activity. How long does it take to steal $50k? Less than the time you're sleeping I'm sure.

I'm sorry, but I was a big Poloniex fan and appreciate the honesty, but for Christs' Sake hire some fucking white hat hackers for $25k and you're already ahead.
232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin (DarkSend) | KGW | No Premine on: March 01, 2014, 11:30:26 AM
Its not like news media will pick up this coin and immediately label it a coin for drug purchase. They will first state its feature of anonymity and if in a debate setting, will then talk about the POSSIBLE uses of the coin.

Are you being sarcastic? News does not report anything but sensationalist bullshit.
Mexican drug smuggling tunnels - could bring nukes or terrorists into the country.
Silk Road. Killed a teenager says his father (here in Australia) b/c "SR are resposnsible he fell off 6th story balcony when his friends locked him out thjere b/c he was tripping balls ... But yes, Silk Road, and uh, him the LSD tab which is made of a chemical not LSD. War on Drugs!
Bitcoin was nothing but seedy as can be until SR was closed down then BTC went from $100 - $100 in 42 days.

DARKCOIN.
I like it personally as a name. But media will associate with darknet and drugs etc...

But DRK could just be a
Digitally
Rendered
Keepsake too...

which we happen to trade?
