221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Paradox of Privacy and Decentralization: Banning Mixers on Bitcointalk.org on: December 02, 2023, 04:30:49 PM
This is a forum not an exchange, not a platform where you save your Bitcoin or can you perform any Bitcoin transaction here, let's not fail to understand that, so in no way has theymos stopped anyone from making use of mixer, the decision to ban mixer from the forum by January 1 is one that is to protect the forum, there are no Many mixing platform and it won't be easy to decipher which is a bad for the community members to cut down that risk the banning mixer from the forum is justifiable, I don't have anything against some money mixer but when A sector is bombarded by new entry be sure to get some bad eggs.
The main priority of theymos now is to protect the community then every other thing is secondary.
222  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 02, 2023, 03:19:15 PM
Less than 17 minutes and arsenal are already in front, they play now like a team wanting to win the English premier league, after their six nill trashing of lens in the champions league they are two goals up already against wolves.
A win for Arsenal would shift lots of pressure to Manchester city as the face a faulty Tottenham Hotspur, I believe city would find it hard to win.
223  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should altcoins be blamed? on: December 01, 2023, 08:49:03 PM
Knowledge is power, the lack of knowledge should be blamed for the hate on Bitcoin not altcoin, I don't own Altcoins and I don't plan to own any but I don't see them as the real problem.
It's lack of knowledge that makes someone invest in an altcoin that was built on hype and when it falls they go hating crypto-currency in general, it's lack of knowledge that makes one leave their Bitcoin on an exchange and loses it afterwards go hating Bitcoin, it is also lack of knowledge that makes newbies vulnerable to scammers, hackers and fraudster, it is also lack of knowledge that makes newbies think Bitcoin guarantees them success in a short time.

I think with the right information and knowledge about Bitcoin the hate on it would reduce.
224  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are the alternatives of mixers with the legalities? on: December 01, 2023, 06:38:27 PM
The forum never questioned the legality of crypto-currency mixer nor did they say anyone should stop using crypto-currency mixer in it's entirety but rather the forum would no longer associate with crypto-currency mixer, this rule/restrictions only apply on the forum.
If you had ever used mixers you can still continue to do so outside the forum in all honesty there is no alternative that can come very close to being similar to crypto-currency mixer.
225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: December 01, 2023, 04:49:43 PM
Honestly, personally I'm not sure Manachester United will be able to win this match, but I also don't rule out the opportunity for them to win this match. If we look at their meeting record, Manchester United have difficulty winning when dealing with this club, I noted from 6 matches they have played, Manchester United can only win 1 time, draw 1 time and the rest they feel defeat. Maybe it was a little luck for them because this time Bayern Munich was more comfortable and there was no burden in this match, but still with a record of meetings like that I can't say with confidence that they will be able to win in this match,
The best result Manchester united can get is a draw from Bayern Munich. The German Giant aren't a team that shows mercy to another team, Barcelona can testify to that, in as much as Bayern Munich has qualified as the group leaders they would still want to make a statement and beating Manchester united is a big statement so the best result for Manchester united is probably a draw.
226  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Precautions For Safety This Yelutide Season on: December 01, 2023, 02:20:10 PM
Seasons greetings everyone, OP you actually have less points but too many letters on your post, I think with that huge body of post something more should have been held in that your post.
Well following safety precautions doesn't have any time restrictions, you should always be security conscious at all time and period, adopting safety precautions is necessary and you can find so many of such precautions here on the forum.
227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 01, 2023, 12:25:36 PM
. Now Arsenal have the best defense in the league and one of the best attacks, this is enough to take the title, the only thing that worries me is how long they can show this performance.
Arsenal aren't synonymous with consistency, the failure of Arsenal to maintain good form cost them the league this season although looking back from when Arteta took over as head coach of Arsenal there has been significant improvement generally in the team.
I think this season would be different for Arsenal, their players although very young has already matured in the football game and I believe they stand a good chance.
228  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Stop feeling you have arrived or you are the biggest on: November 30, 2023, 08:36:19 PM
Well I don't think anyone has the right to tell another person how to leave their life, when dem get nothing una no help them, una no talk say why Dem too poor, they changed their story through hard work, dedication on different avenue including crypto-currency.
Even if what they have is not enough to you, looking at where they came from it's more than something, let's learn to live and let our neighbors live.
229  Economy / Economics / Re: When the world is evolving, follow the trend. on: November 30, 2023, 06:32:09 PM
I read about a story (I won't mention the name of the company but some may be familiar) about an employee who worked in a very Big and popular company producing Camera, this employee had an idea about going digital, since they already own the market they did not think about changing but this employee too his idea to a competitive company and this idea became explosive.

The Truth about business is being versatile and ready to incorporate new idea, the world is growing and interests are changing as well, it's always good to follow suit.
230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Using AI for betting predictions on: November 30, 2023, 05:51:24 PM
Artificial intelligence is a program technology yes it can have access to history, odds , form, ranking in terms of sport prediction this is a very important thing to have but sport prediction can still not go as plan, aside the artificial intelligence technology some prediction sites that takes their time to look at different factors before they drop any prediction still there are possibilities of the game failing.
Never trust artificial intelligence technology in gambling, this is a game of possibilities and luck not program.

If you are looking for ways to protect yourself or trying to post ways to protect yourself in the Bitcoin ecosystem then all you need to do is a little research, because there are already tons of ways made even here on the forum that would be very helpful, I think what you say has already been said on this forum a million times, learn to use the search engine to get more information.

A more recent post I don't know if you came across it, I found it helpful and I believe all newcomers would find it helpful also.

232  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beginner vs. fast starter on: November 29, 2023, 08:03:20 PM
My assumption is that there are still quite a few who do not want to ask questions will hesitate to start opening threads, choosing to listen. The enthusiasm of the old users who are very good at making replies is exemplary. But they may be hesitant to ask for your transmission to rank up, especially if it's through private messages. Yes, I'm talking about speed in ranking even though the thoughts are almost the same. no offense Grin
Well different people different perspective I think. You are right, some prefer to be a listener and read a lot of questions and answers here. But thats smart also as they learned what they needed just by being an spectator. Only those who keep posting are the one active since they wanted to gain merits. Some are here for pure knowledge and answered thoughts.
I am a student and I have taking part time jobs to teach the best way to learn is effective communication, learning always go both ways you can't properly learn by just being a spectator and reading, the person who asked the question may have a different comprehension than you so it's best to understand at your own pace, asking questions is one good way to understand.
233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: November 29, 2023, 07:05:38 PM
Manchester city may have won yesterday but in the last two games Manchester city hasn't really leaved up to the expectations people had placed on them, I would say that the Manchester city of last season is far better than the Manchester city of this season even though they win games I think they have actually dropped in form and aren't winning matches they should be winning convincingly.

Their recent form can also ve attributed to injuries, some of their top players are injured, players like Kevin debruyn, hopefully they can hang on till the squad is complete.
234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will transaction fees affect Bitcoin in the future? on: November 28, 2023, 06:45:28 AM
The fact that the fees are high now and if you choose against using those high fees you transactions would be completed after taking very long time that has caused so much inconvenience right now and it's affecting many Bitcoin users, yes many people have their own theory as to why this issue still exist the biggest reason now is the ordinal.

This won't be the first time we would see the Bitcoin transactions fee being a problem so I think it's about time the cause of the problem get checked and see if their is a possible solution because in the future miners may have so much power over transactions than they have now this isn't what Decentralised system should be.
235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: November 27, 2023, 07:40:55 PM
The UFC fight card keeps getting more boring as time goes by, I have never seen an institution that is so stubborn as the UFC heads especially Dana and I think if things continues like this they would lose credibility and popularity.
We have seen Francis Ngannou leave the UFC because of the payment packages he receives and he is now with the Pfl and has said the amount he will earn on one fight card outweighs his entire UFC earnings which is crazy, Jon Jones is also facing same issue, Isreal Adesanya is also out, I think UFC should pay their fighters better

It's very possible to lock your Bitcoin mate for your own stipulated amount of time and I think people are already engaging in it. Below is a tutorial or how to lock you Bitcoin.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5285003.msg55471258#msg55471258

But speaking about not trusting your lawyer, before you can make someone your family lawyer you probably have known this person for a very long time, and even though humans can't be trusted you should still have accessed this individual and had some faith in them, but that's not a Bitcoin problem because same would apply willing your properties and money through your lawyer.
237  Economy / Economics / Re: strange indicators to know economy is bad on: November 27, 2023, 05:38:35 PM
Really funny and interesting but why are you looking strange indicators like those which isn't complete and accurate measure of the economic state of any country. Where I am from we aren't the cinema freaks and you can actually use the cinema turn up to judge the nation's economy rather the most accurate indicators are.
+ The state of our currency
+ Our fuel price
+ The state of our transportation system (spike or drop in transportation price)
+ Medical services and definitely the amount of citizens Trying to leave the country.
238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: November 27, 2023, 05:30:38 PM
Garnacho is still a building player but I think there is no comparison between him and Cristiano Ronaldo, he would definitely get to be a better player but not to the extent of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Also if Garnacho wants to improve his future I think he should leave Manchester United, in the last decade Manchester United has not raised any good player and I don't think they have the ability to do that.
239  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Make una dey careful when trading on: November 27, 2023, 03:39:14 PM
One thing I have learnt from doing p2p transaction, juicy offer is a bait to get the naive or greedy ones. Another red flag way to know is they will then say you should send first before their payment. They may even say they are victim of p2p scam just to give you a false assurance that they are not scammers, but don't fall them. In fact do not be the first sender before receiving since you are sure that you will definitely pay once you receive the bitcoin or money and not otherwise because no body is to be trusted online.
In general doing peer to peer Transaction off an exchange is super risky and now that many influencers has taking it upon themselves to promote so many Bitcoin vendors and they actually don't check the reputations of this vendors is now a problem guys, recently a popular Bitcoin vendor was dragged on social media for now paying someone who sold Bitcoin to him.
Why have such headaches I think using an exchange make more sense to me because the exchange helps in seeing the transaction goes on well but sti you ought to be vigilant.
